Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. I appreciate You, and I want to repent from all my sins. I need help, but I want to walk daily so people can see that I have Jesus in me. Thanks for all You do for us. Thanks for watching over families and friends. Thanks for protecting this line. Please, Lord, watch over our nation, and please, Lord, help us catch these killers that are beheading people. Please also be in the area where the young man was killed by a police officer. Help people understand that if that young man had not robbed someone and was not walking down the middle of the street, he would be alive today. Be with Your people in that town and other towns where some people think that causing a riot is the answer. Bring peace, Lord, please bring peace to Ferguson, Lord. Father in Heaven, please bless me with messages as my brain has been running on empty. Then please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters: Have I told you lately that I love all of you? Well, brothers and sisters, I do, but I want to also tell you that "Above All Else," I love Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Above all else, including my children, my wife, and our ministry team. "Above All Else." I am falling deeper and deeper in love with Jesus daily. I wish I could really tell all of you just how much I do love this man who lives within me, within all of us if we just ask.
Knock, knock --- who's there? Jesus! Come on in, Jesus!!! Over the last few days my brain has been blank. The pain level is very high, but I can't blame it on that. I just need prayers, I need covered with prayers. Today was beautiful. We received a call this morning from our dear friends Grant and Wanda. They came over and we sorted out some food and packed some to get a jump start on our packing day. Then we stopped to eat and had a very simple lunch and then Grant and Wanda put up our Christmas Tree. Well, sort of straightened it out, as we never take it down. What a beautiful job they did. When we ate lunch together we had communion and talked about Jesus and working for Him. Today I ordered several hundred cans of cranberry sauce and forty turkeys. I am looking for a good laptop. Often with the pain I have I am awake during the night. I might be able to write some in the middle of the night. The laptop could be new or used. Just so it works. Please also keep our son Matthew in your prayers. It has now been over two years since we heard from him at all. We pray he is okay and has not run off to get more involved with the Muslims in their religious junk. Again, I am sorry that I have not been up-to-date with my daily messages. I know some of you really count on them. So let me get started.
Monday: November 17, 2014: "Above All Else" (Day One)
1 Kings 22:4 - So he asked Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead?" Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses." 5 But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, "First seek the counsel of the Lord." (NIV)
I love it here, here we find Jehoshaphat telling the king of Israel "Above All Else," before you do anything, talk it over with the Lord. Brothers and sisters, we have nothing if we do not run it past the Lord first in prayer and then listen and obey our Lord. We must learn to "Trust and Obey."
Isaiah 44:6 - "This is what the Lord says -- Israel's King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. (NIV)
Here pointed out in Isaiah 44:6 it tells us that the Lord Almighty is the first and the last. In short, what does it mean? To me it means God created things, He was the first, here before anything and it also tells us He will be the last. Someday He will shut this world down. He will end it all. When will it happen? I don't know, but we have a job to do to get the word out before He does come back.
Matthew 5:23 - "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; and then come and offer your gift." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, what is Jesus telling us here? While we are to give gifts to our Lord and Savior, we are to tithe to the storehouse, God does not want the gift if we are not bringing it to Him with our hearts being pure and clear. What this is telling me is that God wants us to come to Him clean. He wants us to pray for our sins to be removed and wants us to "patch things up with our brothers and sisters, and remember here that Jesus is not just talking about our blood brothers and sisters, but our Christian brothers and sisters. Notice here, and I think this is really neat, God tells us to leave the gift at the altar, don't present it until we reconcile things from our past. But He does tell us to leave it here, and that will help us not to just walk out on Jesus, but to remember that we need to get back to the altar and down on our knees and get things right with God.
Brothers and sisters, let me close out today by reminding you that we all need to start and end our days, all our days, with Jesus. The very first thing when we wake up and the very last thing before we nod off, we need to talk to Jesus. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings and also mend fences that need mending. Love ya. And please share my love with others.
