And you my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him. To give His people the knowledge of salvation through forgiveness of their sins. Because of the tender mercy of our God by which the rising sun will come to us from Heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death to guide our feet into the path of peace.
Good Thursday Morning my dear brothers and sisters... I received the a note in my e-mail today, as one we prayed for yesterday HAS BEEN HEALED and went onto Heaven (the note will be at the end of the message).
Please pray today for families and schools as it is indeed families and schools day on the line. Thank you to those who are coming on Saturday afternoon (12.30 PM) to our home to help with our food distribution. We still could use more help.
Please keep the family of Bob Beard in your prayers as his body is laid to rest.. His soul, is already in heaven with that of Phil Ladouceur Sr.
The Journey 2011 Day 31 Luke 1:76 - And you my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him. 77 To give His people the knowledge of salvation through forgiveness of their sins. 78 Because of the tender mercy of our God by which the rising sun will come to us from Heaven 79 to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death to guide our feet into the path of peace. (NIV)
You might have noticed that my messages are a tad shorter lately. (Who said "Praise the Lord"?) The truth is my right hand is hard for me to use in typing and now my left arm is starting to go numb. Need those prayers, folks.
The scriptures that God has pointed me to today is from Luke and some of what is known as Zechariah's song. The child mentioned in the scripture is John, son of Zechariah and Elizabeth. And as you can see, John (John the Baptist) will be a prophet of our Lord God. We will study more about John and his going ahead of Jesus after the Christmas season and the Birth of Jesus. In these scriptures we get a look at just why John was sent ahead of Jesus. In Luke 1:77 it tells us that John is going to give people Knowledge of His, meaning the Lord's people, of salvation through forgiveness of their sins.
It would have been nice to live back in the day when Jesus walked the face of the earth, and maybe even got to walk with Him, but think about where we are today. We have the knowledge of all that has happened before us. We know, through our faith and reading the Bible all about Jesus and what He did for each of us who do believe and how He forgives us of our sins when we ask, and we also get the advantage of "having indoor plumbing" (that one woke you up). But it was not all a joke, folks, you think of our world today and we have an advantage of seeing just how Jesus lived and if we love Him we also have the advantage of inviting Him into our lives and more so into our hearts to live. We have been given an option; we can choose to love Jesus or hate Him or anything in between. You know where I stand on this. I pray you do also. John was a very special child, filled by the Holy Spirit right from birth and walked ahead of Jesus telling others Jesus is coming. The sooner we get our children to the feet of Jesus to be saved, the better!! And folks, on today's market a lot of children are leading their parents to the Lord.
Dear Father in Heaven, I need Your touch today, as I do daily, and I ask that You keep blessing this line and heal my hand and mind to get this work done for You. Be with those on our prayer list and heal them according to Your will, bless families and our schools this day, and Lord, please don't let anyone keep You out of our schools, not even our people in Washington. Our schools need You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Now go forth and share those blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan. 717 991 0754 cell phone.
Thank you for your kind words..
There was a miracle... My Dad received his final
healing as he was called home to Jesus our Lord..
God is good
