Dear Father in Heaven: I love You!! Thank You, dear Lord, for being forgiving and also understanding when we mess up from time to time again. I want to thank You, dear Father, for taking care of our family and friends and watching over them as only You can do. Help me and others learn from each mistake and/or sins we make and do. Lord, be with our police and firefighters and protect them in their jobs. Also be with our veterans and our current military. Please, Lord, help me now with the message and also to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray and give thanks. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, with a special note to all PASTORS online with me. Glenn Beck, who is a Christian, is calling for PRAYER FOR POLICE OFFICERS AND ALL OTHERS WHO PROTECT US. This for tomorrow, Friday 9/4/2015 at 12 noon Eastern time. He is asking for churches to be opened for prayer during that time period. I would think those who protect us should include but not be limited to the following, police officers in uniform, in plain clothes, plus CIA, FBI, Secret Service, etc. Also all members of our current military and please remember first responders and firefighters. Also for our president, for he is the Commander in Chief of our military.
Okay, on to the message this day, still writing on forgiving.
Thursday: September 3, 2015: Forgiving (Day Three)
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, knowing about this scripture and using it in the past, I find it in good taste for what prayer is being requested for tomorrow. I ask all of you this question, do you think our country, the United States of America, is standing in the need of prayer? Please, tomorrow join together in praying for the United States of America and all those I listed above. God wants to forgive us as a country, but it must start with each one of us. Even if you can'd do it right at noon, please take that time to pray.
Psalm 19:12 - Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. 13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgressions. (NIV)
Sometimes in life, folks, we are going to make errors that we might not have even known we have made, so we need to ask to be forgiven for them. You notice that most all days I open with telling Jesus I love Him and asking Him to forgive me of my sins. I have been asked already, "do I sin each day that I need to ask to be forgiven?"
Well, sometimes we might sin and not even know it. So here we see it in scripture, with David asking that. We also see according to the scriptures that willful sins can rule over us. We need to be very careful as Satan wants us really badly, and let me tell you the more you work for God the more that master of evil will come after you. So if you think just becoming "Born Again" will protect you from sin, think again, for it will make the devil come at you stronger and stronger. Satan does not like to give up one of his, and Jesus does not want to give up one of His either, so the fight is on and it is on over you and it is on over me. I picked Jesus, I am Born Again, and I must always keep my guard up. We who stick with Jesus will win!!! We need each day to be praying for God to protect us from Satan. Someone should shout amen on that statement.
Psalm 19:14 - May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. (NIV)
This scripture of praise is used by a lot of pastors before each message. I first heard it being used by Pastor Dr. Richard Denison at Hope United Methodist Church years and years ago. However, you do not need to be a pastor to be using this. We should all be praying that the words of our mouth are pleasing to God and also to others. If you really think about this, and your words are pleasing to God, they should be pleasing to others. If not, then it would be on them. Sometimes when we work for God we will make others mad at us.
A real forgiver. This story was reported on the news today. A female police officer in her patrol car pulled up to order lunch at a drive-in place. She placed her order and pulled to the window. Then she was told by the place that they would not serve her because she was a police officer. Yes, it happened. ARBY'S, FOLKS. Not in our area. I heard this on Fox Cable News. Pray for the person who refused to serve our police. Maybe someday we can have a one-day do not buy from Arby's in support of our police.
Dear Father in Heaven, we are indeed a nation standing in the need of prayer. Today, Lord, I ask you to forgive me of my sins, and please help me never to be so upset at anyone that I would not serve them, for I know that when I am serving others I am truly serving you. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.
Pastor Dan
