Salvation Wednesday 9/2/15 Forgiving (2)

Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for getting us through a really hot night and thanks for taking us through this day, and Lord, thank You for air conditioning. Thanks also for keeping us safe on the highways. Lord, Bev needs Your touch. Please help her. Lord, I forgot to give You praise for that last storm missing Florida. You are wonderful and still in control of the weather. Lord, please forgive us of our sins and now help me with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Brothers and sisters, I confess when it comes to heat in the house I have become a wimp. Last night it went to 90 inside the house and with fans running and windows open it just did not cut it. Today I really felt bad for Dolores. I was up at 4:30 AM. Well, I did not sleep anyway, I got my shower, moved vehicles out of the garage so the men coming to work on that air conditioner could get up to it. Then I went in the house, prayed with Dolores, and got into my truck to go to the doctor. The truck has air, the doctor's office had air, and Dolores was home so she could let the service men in and out. I came home with lunch for her and the workers, and while the air conditioner was repaired and running, it was still 85 in the house. I ate and the off to another doctor in the truck with air and another office with air. Until I got home the thing was working and the house was cooling down. She is a real trooper. I am so blessed to have her. As for my doctors, I will update you on them very soon. I do want to get started on the message.

Salvation Wednesday: September 2, 2015: Forgiving (Day Two)

Brothers and sisters, sometimes we will find we would not need to forgive others as much if we would follow the "Golden Rule," Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Do you know the "Golden Rule" is in the Bible? It is.

Matthew 7:12 - "So in everything do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." (NIV)

None of us like to be treated badly, not one of us, yet sometimes we have treated others badly. So you get a dose of your own medicine so to speak. Try it, my friends, try being kind and nice to others. If they are still nasty to you, keep trying to be nice and kind to them. Pray for them and pray daily about it. Do you know that the best way to greet someone is with a smile? A smile is the very best way to start peace.

Acts 1:7 - In Him we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins in accordance with the riches of God's grace, 8 that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. (NIV)

Here we see our redemption through the Blood of Jesus, and that is of course what happened on the cross. I got a nice note from my dear friend Charles today that reminded me of my dear old dad. You see, pop was a math teacher and from time to time he and other teachers would grade on the curve, meaning the top grade was moved up and the low grades would move up the same amount. He also would tell me that figures don't lie but liars could figure. Here is one real math problem that is always the same. 1 cross + 3 nails = 4 given. Also you should know that Jesus will never grade your sins on the curve, as He forgives everyone who asks Him to be forgiven and He forgives by the cross.

So brothers and sisters, as I start the closing with a prayer of Salvation and I pray you are all saved, I ask you this. Will you help others come to Jesus? Come to the cross?

Remember on these hot days, there is no air conditioning in Hell. Let's pray.

Father, on this day we call Salvation Wednesday, let us come to You and also pledge to You that we will help bring others in. Lord, hear my prayer, please forgive me of my sins, wash me white as the new fallen snow. Please, Lord, as I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus was risen from the dead, please place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. And in Jesus' Name, I pray this. Amen.

Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.

Pastor Dan

P.S. You are welcome to forward anything I write.
