Friday 9/4/15 Forgiving (4)

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins and mistakes that I have made this day. Thanks for watching over us on the road today. Please keep those traveling this weekend safe. Thanks for watching over fall families and friends. Please watch over our online flock, dear Lord. Please watch over those traveling on motorcycles over the weekend. Watch over John and Glenda. Please, dear Lord, be in our schools and dear Lord, please bring peace, world-wide peace. And Lord, please bless me with a message and then please help it get dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

My dear brothers and sisters, please be careful on the roads over this long weekend. Please be alert and safe. Today I heard the story about Arby's service to that police officer, this time I heard it on Glenn Beck radio. Now let me get to the message.

Friday: September 4, 2015: Forigving (Day Four)

Ephesians 4:32 - Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (NIV)

Dear brothers and sisters: Today I drove Dolores to the beauty shop where she could be made even more beautiful, and then I traveled from there to son Keith's Auto repair shop to have our one car inspected. While the traffic was light today, I watched as one person would cut off another and it was going on and on. We do not travel much at high traffic times and are not on the road like we once were, so I am sure you who travel the roads day after day see these things more than I do. Thinking of this when I came to the computer today and working on forgiving God gave me the scripture for today.

We have talked all week about forgiveness and forgiving so God will forgive us, I think we need to apply this in traffic also. Let it work like this. If someone cuts you off, forgive them, back off the gas and let them in and instead of cursing them, just pray for them. This also will help keep you out of an accident. Now I don't know about you, but in my life I have cut some people short and I am thankful they forgave me. I know that God sometimes gives me messages that point right back at me, so I really must tell you this story.

It happened years and years ago when I was driving one of my tow trucks. Mine like others at the time had a big push board on the front which would help us push a disabled car into our shop. Anyway, I was coming up to a light and slowing down and someone was in a big hurry, cut in front of me and I had to bring the truck down in a hurry as the light turned red. I mean my bumper was almost against his, and he had a car with a real back bumper. Anyway, instead of forgiving him, when the light turned green I gave a long blast on the horn and just started going. Yes, I was pushing on him and he did get the message. SHAME ON ME!! Of course the name of our garage was on the door and he must have seen it. I was not back at the garage long when the man called to report the driver. I answered the phone and talked nice, telling him I would take care of that driver. Now that is how someone should never act. I knew better then and for a few seconds I just did not use good judgment.

Please you who drive on our highways and byways, please be forgiving to each other and remember this, God can see us even when we are driving. Today it is called "road rage." Back when I did this, it was just plain being stupid. Remember, it only takes a second to slow down and let someone in. If you tangle, even if it is the other's fault, you then must stop, exchange paperwork, and then give up that car to the body shop and even watch your insurance rates go up. Being forgiving on the road can really save you money in the long run.

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us when we make those mistakes on the road and please help us to be more forgiving. I pray today that before people go on the road they take time to pray for salvation through You, so they are ready if something would happen. In Jesus' Name, I pray and give thanks for all things. Amen.

Be back Sunday, and please let me know if you did not receive this. Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.

Pastor Dan
