Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I appreciate all the prayers You answer for all of us. Thanks for going to the cross for us and shedding Your blood for me and others who ask to be saved and covered with Your still flowing blood. Thanks again for this line and I ask that You protect it from evil and attackers. Please always help me to use it to promote You, dear Lord. Please help me now with the message and then please help me to get the message dispatched. Lord, please help us on this day we call Salvation Wednesday to work hard to lead the lost to You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
My dearest brothers and sisters, thank you for all your prayers and concerns as we are going through some health issues. I have been cleared for surgery which is to happen this coming Monday at the Holy Spirit Hospital. It is to be outpatient and it is for a hernia. I have several of them but only one is being worked on at this time. I will keep you posted as to how things are going. Today, brothers and sisters, it is Wednesday and as always that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line and the day we work extra hard to lead in the lost to be saved by our Lord Jesus. The Lord has pointed me to the book of Psalms and I just want to look to see what all this book tells us about Salvation. With that said, let us get started with what I am going to call Psalms of Salvation.
Salvation Wednesday: September 30, 2015: Psalms of Salvation (Day One)
Psalm 9:13 - O Lord, see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death, 14 that I may declare Your praises in the gates of the Daughter of Zion and there rejoice in Your Salvation. (NIV)
How often have you been placed under attack by your enemies and felt like you might be standing near the gates of death? Maybe your enemies might have even been of your own doing, and as an example I will use the over-use of credit cards. Maybe you had a debt load so bad you were thinking the only way out was your own death. You had debt collectors calling you all hours, at work, at home, all the time. Maybe your enemies were more real and maybe they came in a bottle of booze or a handful of pills even those given to you by doctors. You could see no way out, so you did what you know you should have done before. You called upon God and asked Him to have mercy on you and help you so that you might rejoice in His Salvation. Maybe it is one of those times when people say when all else fails, call on God.
Well, Praise God, Praise God, Praise God, for when you call on Him, He will be there ready to help you and then you can rejoice in His Salvation as pointed out in Psalm 9:14.
Psalm 13:5 - But I trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in Your Salvation. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, you know His love is unfailing, but do you trust in His unfailing love? Are you really rejoicing in His Salvation? The Salvation that Jesus gave all of us when He died on Calvary? If you are rejoicing in His Salvation, will you just sing this with me right now, knowing each day with Jesus is better than the one before.
Every Day with Jesus (Robert C. and Wendell P. Loveless)
Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
Every day with Jesus I love Him more and more.
Jesus saves and keeps me and He's the One I'm waiting for.
Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
Every day with Jesus I love Him more and more.
Jesus saves and keeps me and He's the One I'm waiting for.
Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
Well, that was some fine singing. Let us look at another Psalm of Salvation.
Psalm 14:7 - Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores the fortunes of His people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad! (NIV)
Are you praying for the people of Israel? Our Jewish brothers and sisters? Brothers and sisters, Israel is our homeland. If you are indeed a Christian, a real follower of Jesus, then you know we must support our homeland, the homeland of our Lord Jesus Christ. Israel is surrounded by their enemies and with our current president we do not know where he stands on supporting Israel. I know I will pray for the Salvation of Israel, my question is will you?
Psalm 18:2 - The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress and my Deliverer, my God is my Rock in whom I take refuge. He is my Shield and the Horn of my Salvation, my Stronghold. (NIV)
Look at all those good names our Lord God, our Lord Jesus is to us. He is our Rock, Fortress, Deliver, God, Shield, Horn, Salvation, and He is our Stronghold.
Out of all those things mentioned in just this one verse, Rock, Fortress, Deliver, God, Shield, Horn, Stronghold, and Salvation, which one is the best of the best? To me Salvation is, for without Salvation, without Jesus going to the cross for us, we would have nothing. Accept the gift today, the free gift of Salvation and then share it with others. Will you sing this one with me and believe it also?
He's all I need, He's all I need.
Jesus is all I need.
He's all I need, He's all I need.
Jesus is all I need.
He's real tome, He's real to me.
Jesus is real to me.
He's real to me, He's real to me.
Jesus is real to me.
He's all I need, He's all I need.
Jesus is all I need.
He's all I need, He's all I need.
Jesus is all I need.
Dear Father in Heaven, you are indeed real to me, because You are real and You are alive. I pray today for the lost and that You would use us who are saved to bring in those lost sheep so that You might save them. Give us the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to get this job done for You. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks that I am saved and I ask in the Name of Jesus for You to help me leading others. All glory and honor is Yours this and every day. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Monday 9/28/15 One God!!!
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very, very much and I give thanks to You for all things good this day. I give You praise, honor, and glory that Pope Francis has returned to his home safely. Please forgive all those who worshiped this man as if he was God or greater even. Father, thanks for taking me through more tests today and getting me ready for surgery. Lord, thanks for a chance to witness to others at my doctor's office today and even anoint a lady with oil and pray for her in Jesus' Name. Lord, please help me with the daily message and then please help me to get it dispatched. Please be with our veterans, our police, firefighters, and all others who work to keep us safe. I pray also today for worldwide peace. All praise and honor to You, Lord Jesus, as I lift my prayers in Your Name. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: The message that God is giving me for today might upset a few people. As I have told you before, I try my best to write what God gives me. Today we are going to look at a couple of commandments. Let me get started.
Monday: September 28, 2015: Commandments (Day One)
Exodus 20:1 - And God spoke all these words. 2 "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery." (NIV)
Exodus 20:3 - "You shall have no other gods before me." (NIV)
Exodus 20:4 - "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments." (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, maybe it was the last straw that broke my back this afternoon or maybe just a lot of things all added together. This afternoon a lady was interviewed on the local news. She stated that "The Pope was the nearest man to God in the world." I want to tell you this right now, and I know I am 100% right on this. If you are "born again," if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you are as near or maybe even nearer to God, our Loving Lord Jesus, as anyone else including the Pope.
I watched as many, many people bowed down to this church leader and I think he is a good man but what he is not, he is not God, period!!! People are saying because of him many will return to their church. I ask this, what good is it to return to the church if The Word is not being preached and taught ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE!
I watched and looked and listened to many of the masses that the Pope held and other than a lot of ritual I did not hear a message on Salvation and what Jesus did on the cross. I did see this commandment broken over and over again and again, and mot often by other priests.
Exodus 20:3 - "You shall have no other gods before me."
Over and over again people would say, I just want to touch his robe. As a pastor Pope Francis might have been given the "gift of healing" but I did not see him hold a baby and pray and pray for them, just give them a kiss.
Exodus 2:4 - "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God."
A lot of people who went to Washington, to New York and Philadelphia, were bowing down and they made an idol out of him. Bobble head dolls, coffee mugs, you name it, they were buying it. And the news people falling all over themselves to get that story.
Let me tell you again, I watched and watched and received nothing from what I heard. Looking back in my life, back in the sixties, I can remember many a Sunday evening when I was picking up mail I would stop outside a "black church" at Fourth and Reilly Streets in Harrisburg and listen to my black brothers and sisters praising God and I got more out of those ten minutes each week, and in fact back then that was the only church that I would be near and the only Word of God I was receiving. Many years later in life Dolores and I traveled with some gospel singing groups, and at no time did any of them stand and take the glory away from God and always they would close their service or concert with a call for Salvation. And when on the road, we did the same thing. ALL GLORY AND ALL HONOR TO JESUS CHRIST.
Once again Jesus is the only way to our Father in Heaven. I can only pray that the Pope is indeed "Born Again" and I pray for all those who might follow him. You need to follow Jesus and not an earthly leader.
I need your prayers for healing, brothers and sisters. My pain level is so high that it is very hard for me to even sit at the computer.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Saturday 9/26/15 Open Line
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for watching over us, and thanks for watching over this prayer line. I ask, dear Lord, that You protect this line as there are people trying to wipe it out. Please, Lord, place Your firewall of protection on this computer. Lord, please be with Glenn Gamber and comfort and heal him. Watch over Marie also. Please continue to watch over Pope Francis and keep him out of harm's way. Dear Father in Heaven, please bless me now with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
Hi, brothers and sisters. Sorry about not having a message on Friday. I went for some tests to get ready for surgery and when I got home I was, well, just worn out. So I took a nap, made dinner, and then laid across the bed to rest with Martin Martin Jr., Angel, Marvin, and Missy, and we all fell asleep. Glenn Gamber needs our prayers and while you pray for him, please include his family.
Help needed! Dolores and I could use a little help. What we need would take three or four people about an hour or two. We have what was a wooden porch in our back yard and it needs ripped out, sawed up and placed in trash cans. Our cats are getting stuck under it. It is also rotten and if stepped on one could break a bone or two. I have the tools to do the job, but my old body will not get it done. Then it would be nice to have steps made to get out of the house through that door if we had a fire or something.
Let me get to the message, Open Line.
Luke 6:27 - "But I tell you who hear me, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." (NIV)
I just love looking back. I can remember in my days of childhood going to my Uncle Lester and Aunt Romaine's with my dad and mamma. Pop and Uncle Lester were brothers, and God bless her heart, my dear Aunt Romaine is still on the green side of the grass and causing people to smile even though she has dementia. As I recall they had one phone in their farm home and it was a wall phone. And like our phone at home it was a party line. If you watch those old reruns of Sheriff Andy you might recall that he picks up the phone and talks to an operator, I believe her name was Sarah. Sarah, get me the diner, or Sarah, please connect me with Barney. Well, we did not need to ask an operator to place a call, but we did need to wait for an open line. Before you would dial you needed to listen to see if someone was talking on the phone. (My brother and I listened in on some neighbors' calls until mamma found out.)
Those lines were called "party lines" and almost everyone had party line phones. We shared our line with three other families, making it a four-party line. I think my Aunt and Uncle's was a six-party line. At one time if we wanted to call the other person on our line with us we had to call 1191 and hang up. When it stopped ringing we would pick up and have that neighbor on the line.
On Friday's one radio talk show host has Open Line Friday and of course his name is Rush Limbaugh. Now if you ever tried to call host Rush Limbaugh you know that most often the line is busy or you get put on hold for hours. Today when we call a business or a government office most often you are put on hold after going through a lot of pushing different buttons. I wonder what it might be like if God ran heaven like our government runs the phone system. Let us try.
1-800 Call God: Dialing. Ring, ring. Hello, you have reached Heaven. Please listen closely as our numbers have changed.
If you are calling to talk to the front gate, press one now.
If you are calling to talk to Angel Gabriel, press two now.
If you are calling to talk to Joseph, press three now.
If you are calling to talk to the Virgin Mary, press four now.
If you are calling to talk to Jesus Christ, press five now.
If you are calling to talk to God The Father, press six now.
To repeat this menu, press seven now.
For all other calls, please press zero now.
Or please call later as lines are busy now.
Well, that is what happens when you call the government or some businesses but that is NOT what happens when you want to call on God The Father. Now we know that Heaven has a party line, a big party line, but the line is never jammed up, the line is never busy, but it does require one thing. To talk to our Father in Heaven, we must place the call through Jesus Christ His Son.
Here is why.
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)
Some people pray directly to God, others pray through the "Blessed Virgin Mary" and would you believe it, some people do not pray at all. When I went to write about Open Line and praying, the first scripture that God pointed out to me was one about praying for those who mistreat you, praying for those who might want to come after you. You know it is easy to pray for those you love, but praying for people who hate you, well, that can be hard to do.
While we had six party lines, some even eight or more on a party line, God has millions on His party line, yet He has that Open Line and it is not just on Fridays. God's line does not shut down for the weekend nor is it just opened from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is open around the clock and all year round. And while God rested on the seventh day when He created the Heavens and the Earth, He never shuts off the prayer line.
So when you want to call on someone who always has an Open Line, please call on God and do it through Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Dear Father in Heaven. I love that Your line is always open to hear our prayers, and I am so happy that You never tire of hearing from us. So hear our prayers this day as we place them in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Now please go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Thursday 9/24/15 Saints
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. I also appreciate all that You do for all of us each day. Thanks for watching over us this day. Again I pray for safety here in the United States with all the events going on. Please, Lord, watch over all those who are watching over Pope Francis, and protect Pope Francis and all the Christians who are going to see him. Please, Lord, help me now with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks and lift my prayers. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, please keep me in your prayers tomorrow as I go through some tests that need done so I can be cleared for surgery. Most of the tests are heart related, although I must stay up a tad late tonight to study for my urine test.
Today Dolores and I watched Pope Francis speak on Capitol Hill. He gave a nice speech but I was surprised that he did not speak out against abortion. It would have also been great to see him make a "call for Salvation" while in the House of Congress and with all those TV cameras on. Salvation, that is what this is all about or did I just miss something? Anyway I promised yesterday I would write a few words about being a saint.
Thursday: September 24, 2015: Saints
John 3:3 - In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again." 4 "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" 5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'" (NIV)
When we become born again, when we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we become a Saint. No person or persons on this earth need to declare you to be a Saint. Follow this now.
Romans 8:26 - In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. (NIV)
The Spirit or the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, is within us after we are Born Again, the Spirit is the Comforter that Jesus left with us. The Holy Spirit and God are so close to one another that the Holy Spirit's prayers do not need to be audible. And when we get confused, as one of God's Saints, one who has been Born Again, the Holy Spirit will intercede for us in prayers and we are the Saints the scripture is talking about.
Psalm 16:3 - As for the saints who are in the land they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight. (NIV)
The saints who are in the land. Yes, the saints are not all in heaven, and there are a lot of them here on earth. I am a saint! I am a saint because I have been born again, although there are times I don't act like a saint. What about you? Are you a saint?
Sing this chorus with me please.
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Lord, I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in.
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Lord, I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in.
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Lord, I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in.
When the saints go marching in!!
Dear Father in Heaven, I thank You for dying for me, and thanks for forgiving me. I pray that today many, many will become saints by accepting Jesus as their Savior. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks and pray. Amen.
Please pray for God to give me a new subject for tomorrow.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.
Pastor Dan
By the way, we Christians do not need a religion, for we have a "relationship," a relationship with Jesus Christ. AMEN.
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Lord, I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in.
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Lord, I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in.

Salvation Wednesday 9/23/15 Blood (3)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for being my hands today, all glory and honor to You for being with me each step of the way. Dear Father, as I keep praying for protection for all of our Catholic brothers and sisters, I confess I do not understand all of this bowing down to a church leader. Please also this day be with our Jewish brothers and sisters as they celebrate Yom Kippur. Today, Lord, on our Salvation Wednesday, I pray that this line might be used to lead someone to Your feet, with all the glory going to You. Lord, help us as we serve communion and talk about Your blood and body today. Please help me with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I give You praise, honor and glory and pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, up early today to take Dolores to her doctor, then I took her to breakfast to get some pecan pancakes. Arriving home I decided to tackle a repair on our old GMC Plow truck. It needed an alternator, and while my brain tells me I can do these things, my body tells me no. So down to the truck I went and got out the tools, and then I prayed and prayed and prayed. Then Jesus and I went to work and there were times I just needed that extra hand and Jesus was right there. About 45 minutes later I had that alternator lying on my handicap scooter. Then off to the parts store. No, I did not go on the little scooter. That trip took about an hour, getting home safe and my wallet a tad lighter. Then back to work. Again I started out with prayer, I did not wait until I was stuck, I started with prayer, and after about an hour I was finished. The hardest part was getting that big belt back on. I called on Jesus over and over again for I just needed that extra hand. It was like He was reaching over my shoulder and helping me. Job done, I will put the tools away another day. All honor and glory to Jesus, for without Him I could not have done this.
Over the years I have started so many jobs and did not pray first, but waited until I got stuck and then I would pray. Today I got it right ... PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD.
Salvation Wednesday and I want to get to the message, and as promised I am going to lead all of you in communion. I pray you will join with us. Tomorrow I want to talk about becoming a saint. I tried to sit and watch the Mass in Washington, DC, today as Pope Francis declared a Fryer a Saint. Tomorrow into the scriptures as I tell you this right now. WHEN YOU COME TO JESUS YOU BECOME A SAINT.
Salvation Wednesday: September 23, 2015: Blood (Day Three)
I am taking the communion service today from the book of Luke. All scripture will be from my New International Version Study Bible (NIV) unless otherwise noted.
Luke 22:7 - Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover Lamb had to be sacrificed. 8 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover." 9 "Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked. 10 He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11 and say to the owner of the house, 'The teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 12 He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there." 13 They left and found things just as Jesus had told them, so they prepared the Passover.
Now let me go over a few things up to this point. I love the way Jesus always knew in advance what is going to happen. You remember how Jesus sent two disciples ahead of Him to fetch the donkey colt that was never ridden and how they found that just as He told them. (Luke 19:28, The Triumphal Entry.) And that was then and this is now and Jesus is the same (Hebrews 13:8) and He knows everything we are going to do even before we get started. He knew in advance that today He was going to help this old man fix the truck. Scary, right? That is one reason we must have a reverent fear of God. So Peter and John set up the room. Do you think they used a long table and one side was open or is that just the way it was painted so all faces were seen? Well, that does not make a difference, it was what happened in the room. The Upper Room as it has come to be known. Let's get back to the Word.
Luke 22:14 - When the hour came, Jesus and His apostles reclined at the table. 15 And He said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the Kingdom of God."
Let us take a look at a few things here. Jesus was eager to eat this Passover meal because it was His last one until, until He comes for His Bride. This was also the last time a lamb would need to be sacrificed, for Jesus Himself was about to be sacrificed and it would be one time for all time and for all people who have faith and believe. Praise God, Praise You, Jesus, as You become the PERFECT "LAMB OF GOD." Today as we celebrate with communion, I want you to think ahead to the time after Jesus returns and we get to eat the Passover with our Lord Jesus. PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD.
Luke 22:17 - After taking the cup, He gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the Kingdom of God comes."
At this point Jesus passed a container of the fruit of the vine and I would think each poured out some at their own place. Today in most communion services the fruit of the vine is placed in small cups in advance before it is served. Some do it differently. Don't get lost in how it is done, please just remember WHY it is done. Let us now take the communion.
Luke 22:19 - And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them saying, "This is my body given for you; Do this in remembrance of Me."
Take your bread now and break it. Remember how Jesus was broken, His body broken for us.
Dear Jesus, Your body was broken over and over again for us, and Jesus, I for one appreciate what You did for me. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
Now take the broken body and eat it remembering Jesus.
Luke 22:20 - In the same way, after the supper He took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
The New Covenant, what is that Covenant? It is the promise of what was done on The Cross and if we follow Jesus and confess ourselves over to Him as we talked about the other day, then we will be saved. Please read (John 3:16, Romans 10:9/10).
Please don't be afraid to print this out, take some bread and grape juice to your coffee break room and ask others if they would like to "break bread with you." That is just a suggestion of a way to others for our Lord Jesus.
Dear Father in Heaven: Please bless all those who are working in Your fields of Harvest, and please help us to have the courage to witness for You at any time and any place where You place us. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks. Amen.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Tuesday 9/22/15 Blood (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for being the Great Shepherd and watching over us, over me. Thanks for watching over all those who use this line. Please be with Sally Myers in the home-going of her husband, Earl "Big Red" Myers. Please watch over the events going on in the United States, and please forgive all those who are bowing down to others, other than You. Praise God for Mary Lou being covered by Your Blood. What great and wonderful news. Please help me with the message and please help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, today I watched on the news as the Pope arrived in Washington, DC, in a plane called Shepherd One. When I heard this I was wondering if He was going to arrive in the arms of Jesus FOR JESUS IS SHEPHERD ONE. Now with that said, they could h ave turned that around and called the plane "one shepherd" for indeed that would be what the Pope is, a shepherd, one who leads his flock. So far I have not heard one word about Salvation, or one shout out saying something like "Praise the Lord." Oh, and you heard this first now from me. If you are going to hear the Pope, by going to a "mass," you might be better off to use "mass" transit.
With all that said, please keep praying.
Praise the Lord. Mary Lou Weiss told me she is covered by the Blood and was just baptized in water. Mary Lou, a really great school bus driver. By the way, tomorrow is Salvation Wednesday and a good day to have communion online. And communion talks about the blood. Bring your juice and bread to the keyboard tomorrow.
Today a man fell off the roof of a building downtown. He was not hurt at all. The man was wearing his new "light fall suit." Yes, tomorrow is the first day of fall. Now let me get to the message, Blood.
Tuesday: September 22, 2015: Blood (Day Two)
1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light as He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and The Blood of Jesus His Son, purifies us from all sin. (NIV)
1 John 1:5/6 talks about God being light and in Him there is no darkness. It also talks about if we claim to walk in the light but we are walking in darkness then we are lying. It goes on to say we do not live by the Truth. And we know that Jesus is the way, and the Truth and the life. (Please read 1 John 1:5/6.)
In verse 7 above it tells us if we walk in the light, because He is the light we will have fellowship with each other, meaning others who also walk in the light and it tells us that The Blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin. Now let's look at those two three letter words. The Blood of Jesus purifies us from ALL SIN. Not just one of your sins, not just one of my sins, but all of them. All of them. So how about it, are you washed in the Blood? How about joining me in some singing today? This will make Pamela happy.
Are You Washed in the Blood? (Elisha A. Hoffman, 1839-1929)
Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in is grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you washed in the blood,
in the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you walking daily by the Savior's side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you washed in the blood,
in the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Monday 9/21/15 Blood (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for trusting me to work for You. Thanks for permitting me to witness for You this day. Lord, I pray today for peace, peace across the world, peace in our cities. I pray for those who are carrying Your cross and helping lead in the lost ones. I give thanks for family and friends. I ask Your healing hand on my dear wife and I ask that You carry some of her pain. Please, Lord, help me with the message today and then to get it dispatched. And Lord, thank You for shedding Your blood to cover our sins. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, today I had an early morning doctors appointment at the cardiologist to be cleared for surgery coming on October 5th. I was NOT cleared. I need to go back on Friday for a stress test and some other tests. Please pray that those tests go well. I really need the upcoming surgery. We have put it all in the hands of God, and I know He hears prayers and also heals, and maybe He will just heal this hernia and my knees and I will not need this surgery.
Please keep praying for the safety of the Pope. Also please pray for safety in our cities, and please pray that all the shootings in the cities come to an end. Pray please for our police, firefighters and all who work to keep us safe. Pray for rain to put out the fires in the west. I guess what I am really saying is please take more time to talk to Jesus.
New subject today which I am just going to call "Blood."
Proverbs 6:16 - There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to Him. 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood. (NIV)
Yes, today I want to talk to you about Blood, so I have brought that out in the scripture that is above. But first I want to bring out a few things. First, and I learned this a long time ago, when we peel back the outer wrapper, our skin, we all bleed red. Most of you will remember old Archie Bunker and his ways. I remember one time he needed blood and to make a long story short, he was given blood from a black lady. Yes, we even have the same types of blood. Over the years I was blessed to be able to donate blood and even though it was not much, I donated over 3 gallons before cancer made me stop. Last week I mentioned a person, not by name, but one who had/has a giving heart. This person has donated over 10 gallons. I also know that during one of my back surgeries, I had laid back four pints but had to be given a few more from the blood bank. I do not have a clue whose blood went in me, but this one thing I do know. I KNOW WHOSE BLOOD COVERS ME. Someone please say amen to that.
In our scripture we see that our Lord hates hands that shed INNOCENT blood, meaning that if one who has shed blood of another in war or maybe in their work such as a police officer they are covered, He does not hate that. Let me put it another way, God hates what is going on today with all the murders, our cities are just out of control. Fighting over drugs, drive-by shootings, brother against brother, children being caught in the cross-fire. And over the weekend another shooting in a church.
One thing that can cause people to fight and shoot at each other or cut each other is when they get to drinking too much. And what is being billed all over the place, more places to drink. Yes, more happy hours, more booze, more places to purchase it. Even our food stores are starting to open places where you can sit down and GET DRUNK. And if you watch the news, it is on all the time, the chefs putting together a meal and yes, of course a mixed drink to go to with it. Oh, now I like a mixed drink now and then. Try this one. One half glass of milk, and the other half, diet cherry Pepsi. Oh or this one. Two scoops of ice cream in a glass with milk over it.
This week we are going to look at scripture that talks about the Blood, and we are going to look at some old hymns that sing about the blood. Speaking of blood, I can remember years ago, back when I was about 10 or so, we would take a pin and stick it in our fingers, and rub that blood with a playmate and we called it being "blood brothers." I can think of a much better way to use the blood to become blood brothers or blood sisters. We go to Jesus, get washed in His blood and then confess our lives over to Him, be born again and become BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST. Now I know all of you have blood in your veins, but I ask you this, ARE YOU COVERED WITH THE BLOOD OF JESUS TODAY? I would love to hear from you, please let me know. Are you washed, are you washed in the Blood?
Dear Father in Heaven, I pray that all are covered with the blood of Jesus, and I pray for those who are lost that they will come in for their blood bath. I pray in the name of Jesus and give thanks for the "blood shed on Calvary." Praise You, Jesus. Amen.
Now go forth loving Jesus and getting covered with His Blood. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Amen.

Sunday 9/20/15 Names
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for loving me, thanks for loving all of us. Thanks for forgiving us of our sins. Thanks for dying for us on the cross. I love You, Jesus, and I really appreciate all You do for all of us. Thanks for planting another subject on my heart today. Please, dear Lord, help me with the message. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, today again I ask you to cover Pope Francis with your prayers. We need to do this, but I also want to get a few things straight as we pray for Pope Francis. With that I will get straight to the message, Names.
Sunday: September 20, 2015: Names
Isaiah 9:6 - "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and His name shall be called ..................... "The Prince of Peace." (KJV)
Today Pope Francis was referred to as "The Prince of Peace." I want to tell you that Jesus Christ is "The Prince of Peace" and no one else should be called by that name other than our Lord Jesus. I might upset a few people but I must get it straight. Pope Francis, while a great man of God and maybe a good church leader, is not and never will be "The Holy Father." Our Father in Heaven is "The Holy Father." That spot is taken.
Hebrews 3:1 - Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Jesus Christ. (KJV)
A few years back I did a funeral service at the request of a man whose wife had passed away. His wife was Greek and her brother was a priest in the Greek Orthodox Church. He also had the title of "Father" and he was also sharing the service with me. While others were calling him "Father" I told him that I, with all respect, would be calling him "Pastor" as the title "Father" was reserved for our Heavenly Father. He respected me for standing firm on what our Bible tells us.
Matthew 3:9 - "And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.'" (NIV)
Here we see words spoken by John the Baptist and when referring to Abraham as a father, the word father, like our earthly father, is with a small "f," unless of course it is at the start of a sentence.
Matthew 5:16 - "In the same way let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds, and praise your Father in Heaven." (NIV)
Here in the very words of Jesus, He refers to our "Father in heaven." And yes, that would be with the capital "F."
One other thing, will calling a religious leader by "Father" keep you out of Heaven? The only thing that will keep you out of Heaven is not being born again.
I want to be very clear, we need to respect the religion as it is a Christian religion and if they are "Born Again" then they are our brothers and sisters in Christ. I would hope that all people would show their respect to the Reverend Billy Graham, Reverend Jimmy Swaggart, and leaders of all Christian religions.
One last thing. A lot of times the word Christian gets a bad rap. Our president tells us that he is Christian. Christian means Christ-like. I like the term Pastor Tim Beitzel uses, a "Follower of Jesus." Amen.
Tomorrow, Lord willing, "The Blood."
Now go forth, and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Saturday 9/19/15 Gifted (4)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for watching over family and friends and thanks for a great day with Camp Hill High School class of 1952. Thanks for letting me be able to witness again back at Allenberry Playhouse. Please heal and protect Jere and Diane Heinze and all of our friends from the past. Please be with those bikers as they head home from bike week, and Lord, please be with Pope Francis as he travels in Cuba and the United States. Please, Lord, protect all of Your children. Please, Lord, help me now with the message and the help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: Please pray for Jere and Diane Heinze. Jere, along with his brother John and sister Jane, own Allenberry Playhouse and Resort Inn, which was put on the market to sell. Dolores and I were back at Allenberry where we did Santa and Mrs. Claus for about 12 or 13 years. Today it brought back memories, memories of how Jere always permitted us to witness to people coming to the Christmas play. Now Jere has Parkinson's and his wife Diane just fell a few days ago and broke her ankle in three places. Please also remember to keep our Catholic brothers and sisters in your prayers over the next week or so. Pray for all those also running the security details. Pray also for the unsaved and that many will come to Christ, come fully to Christ. Now let me get started with the message, Gifted.
Saturday: September 19, 2015: Gifted (Day Four)
1 Corinthians 13:17 - When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain; Faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (NIV)
By the way, when I look back and it talks about when I was a child and then look to the present a lot of things come to mind. Over the past few years I have been told I have "A Fib." Years ago, my mamma would tell me about the same. Danny, that was "A Fib." Monday I go get tested at my cardiologist. Years ago I was taken to the bathroom and had to "eat soap."
The Bible talks about "When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me." Some of us did not put our childish things behind us when we came a man. One joke we would ask our friends when we were in our twenties was "what do you want to be when you grow up?" In verse 12 above it tells us we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror. Today I was asked to give the prayer before the meal at Dolores' class reunion. Of course before the prayer I addressed the class just a tad. I stated to them this. We all know where we have been, but do you know where you are going? And then I went into the prayer.
As we grow in Christ our visions of Jesus will become clearer and clearer to us. Someday we are going to see face to face our Lord Jesus and then and only then will we really understand the complete mystery of our relationship with Christ. Today we know in part, and we learn more and more as we study the Bible, and when we get to Heaven we will fully know, fully know about Jesus. PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD.
The Bible tells us we will then fully know even as I am fully known. Yes, Our Lord Jesus, our Lord Jesus fully knows about us, clear back before we were in the womb. The Bible tells us that God knows every hair on our heads. (In that department He does not need to remember me as much as my hair is departing my head.)
Over the last few days we have been talking about all the gifts and we talked even about that gift of love. Of all the gifts we have had or will have, our greatest gifts are Faith, Hope, and Love. Out of those three again the Bible tells us that the greatest is love. We need Faith to believe in our Lord Jesus. We have Hope that all the promises in the Bible will be there for us when we arrive in Heaven. And we have Love and the greatest part of Love is not our love of others, or even our love for Jesus, the greatest part of Love is how Jesus loves us, loves us enough to die on the cross. There is a beautiful song that Carry The Light would sing when Joanne Fortney traveled with us, and she did a beautiful job of singing "He Loved Us With the Cross."
Brothers and sisters, I am praying for God to give me a new subject starting tomorrow. To wrap this one out, let me ask you this: Do you love Jesus above all else, even above your spouse? Above your children? Do you understand that Love is a great four-letter word that is not sex? Love God, Love your neighbor, and yes, love yourself. Is today the day you will come to Christ? Will you pray with me today to be forgiven?
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me this day, take away my past, wash it away for I believe in You, I believe that Jesus died for me on the cross and was risen from the dead. I believe that Jesus is alive and today I want to be alive in Christ. Help me, Father. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share and love Jesus. Love ya.

Thursday 9/17/15 Gifted (3)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Father, I am so blessed and all those blessings come right from You. Thanks for watching over family and friends, and Lord, please watch over the lady I call "Teach." Lord, please be with and lay your healing hand on Burt and Patsy and their family. Lord, be with John who had the double lung transplant and please drive the infection out of those new lungs. Lord, thanks for ending strangers to help me when I am loading things at the stores. Please, Lord, help me now with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters. Sometimes I just need to set the record straight. When I sign off each writing with "Love Ya. Pastor Dan," I really do love all of you. Some people on this line I have never met in my life, and still I feel very comfortable telling all of you I love you. Again I ask you to keep praying for our nation and for safety for Pope Francis when he is in our country. I am not Catholic, however, we need to cover all people in prayer, for we know there are people who want to kill Christians. Let me get to the message, Gifted.
Thursday, September 17, 2015: Gifted (Day Three)
1 Corinthians 13:1 - If I speak in tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a sounding gong or clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love I am nothing. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, I went over a lot of gifts yesterday and they are reviewed in these verses of 1 Corinthians 13. If you see people who claim to have one or more than one of those great gifts listed above and yesterday and they really do have love, you should be able to look at them and see a big Jesus smile on their face.
I want to tell you about this lady that we know. She received the email writings long before I ever got to meet her and her husband. Her name is Patsy and she is in a retirement/nursing home. She spends most of her time in a bed or in her room and she never stops witnessing for our Lord Jesus. People, including other residents of the home and also employees, stop into her room so she can pray for them. This lady, and she is just that, a lady, and her dear sweet husband, are more concerned about others than their very only problems. When I was off the line back a few weeks they called me to find out what was going on. She does not have a computer so she gets the messages by United States Mail. This family has a lot of gifts, but most of all she has this great gift of "Love."
Over the years I have married a lot of people. Okay, don't get ahead of me, yes, I have been married more than once, but I am talking about people I married, or remarried as a pastor. Here is one of the scriptures that I use in all the weddings.
1 Corinthians 13:4 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, if we loved like this we truly would be like our blessed Jesus Christ. And if all those who were getting married would live by this scripture it would sure help in their marriage. While you can read all of these for yourself, I want to point out the part that tells us "It is not easily angered." Remember that when Jesus walked this earth He was not easily angered, but I do remember the readings where He cleared out the temple chasing the money changers out. However, right after that in the same verse the Word tells us, "It keeps no record of wrongs."
When Jesus was angered and He cleared the temple, it was over and then He would forgive people and move on. When we as humans anger sometimes we do not get right over it, and sometimes even if we do forgive that person we might bring it up again later. We who truly love should also "hate." What did I just say? I said "we who truly love should also 'hate'." Yep, I said that. What should we hate? Look again at verse 6 - Love does not delight in evil. So it is evil we should hate and even try our best to stay away from it. Amen. More on Gifts tomorrow.
Dear Father in Heaven. Please teach us to love, love everybody, and to try our very best to follow Your lead in all we do. Thanks for being a God that forgives us. Thanks for all the times You have forgiven us, forgiven me. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks and pray. Amen.
Now please go forth and share your love and share Jesus with others. Love ya.
Pastor Dan
P.S. I am getting ready for surgery. If I miss a day now and then, just keep me in your prayers. I will give you the date later as soon as I am cleared, then you can cover Dolores and me in prayer. Thanks, ladies and gentlemen, for your prayers.

Salvation Wednesday 9/16/15 Gifted (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I give thanks this day for You loving me. Lord, You have answered so many prayers for us. In fact I know You have heard and answered all of them. Help me to learn that no is sometimes an answer to prayers that we do not like to hear. Lord, we know that You know what is best for us. Dear Lord, please be with those folks at Young's United Methodist Church as they bring school children in to their church for a released time ministry. Lord, it seems people do not want You in public schools, so it is wonderful that You have opened the doors at some public schools for the children to leave and go to a church for studies about Jesus. God, please bless those involved, and may this ministry grow. Today, Lord, it is Salvation Wednesday on this line. Please help us seek out the lost and lead them to Your feet. Lord, please put a message on my mind on the subject You have given me. Help me to write it and then please help me to get it dispatched. In the name of Jesus, I give praise and ask my prayers. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, within 20 minutes after I finished the message yesterday I received a call from a dear friend with the email address of Dr. Ben Carson. All honor and glory to God. Please remember t let me know what gift from God you might have. Please cover Young's Church on their wonderful ministry with God's children. Let me get to the message, Gifted.
Salvation Wednesday: September 16, 2015: Gifted (Day Two)
Proverbs 18:16 - A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great. (NIV)
I used this scripture yesterday to just open the door about gifts. I want to look at how a gift can be used in some ways that are wrong. Here are just a few examples and since we are hearing so much about politics lately, let us look at those gifts given by lobbyists to our folks in Washington, DC, and in our State Capitals. Recently Donald Trump admitted that his money has purchased him many things from politicians.
I want to walk you back a few years when a salesman walked into my office at Central Dauphin. He showed me this really good looking watch which maybe was worth $10. He opened the box and said, "How would you like to have this watch?" I said that would be nice and he closed the box and handed it to me and I put it inside my suit coat pocket. Then he said all I had to do was buy a 55 gallon drum of his brand of cleaning product and I could have it. Now that became a bribe. Yes, that gift became a bribe, and I wanted nothing to do with it. So I told him he should leave and I was not ordering any of his product. Then he asked for the watch back, and I said no, you gave it to me as a gift. And he left and never returned, and I gifted the watch to someone else.
Acts 20:35 - In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus Himself said; "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (NIV)
I want to tell you about a person whom I know very well. Their gift from God is to help others by supporting them in a Christian way. By supporting them not wanting to be thanked, therefore I will not use their name. This person knows that they will be blessed even more by God, because you cannot out-give the Lord when you give for Him from your heart. They will receive rewards in Heaven also.
While it is nice to receive a gift, do you not get a better feeling when you are giving gifts to others?
Let me talk a tad about spiritual gifts.
1 Corinthians 12:27 - Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is part of it. 28 And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have the gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But eagerly desire the greater gifts. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, take a good look at all those gifts. Is there one of you who would lay claim to all of them? Let me answer that one for all of us. NO!! I do know of people who have more than one of them. In a church setting, many people make up the church, no one person can do it all. Some churches, some churches do not even believe in all of them. I wonder what would happen if a person were sitting in one of those big, big Lutheran churches when they received the power of the Holy Spirit and they would jump up and speak out in tongues. So which gift or gifts might you have? I told you about one person already and they have the gift of being able to help others. I would say that most of our firefighters, police, etc., would have that gift also, for there are many ways of helping others. Tomorrow we will look even further as there is one gift all should have, and if you do not have that one, well, let us save that until tomorrow. Anyone want to tell me what that gift is that all should have?
Today is Salvation Wednesday, and it is a gift, a real gift, to be able to talk to people about Salvation, then pray with them, leading them to Jesus and then help them find a really good church.
Now please go forth, working for Jesus and trying your very best to lead in one or two lost sheep. Love ya.
Pastor Dan
Love ya.

Tuesday 9/15/15 Gifted (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for talking to me just minutes ago, and praise to you that I listened. Thanks for watching over us this day and every day. Dear Father, please be with all those "bikers" heading to bike week at Ocean City, Maryland. Please keep them all safe. Again, thanks for all You do, and please now help me with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, I am so excited about what just happened I want to get to the message. Before that I am requesting you pray for all those mountain firefighters working so hard in the west and for all those folks who have lost all their earthly goods and for the families of those who have lost their lives. Also pray for those in the school bus accident today. I did not get the location, however, it was a bad crash as the bus was hit by a car and rolled off a bridge. Two children have been killed. Pray, warriors, pray, and yes, pray for that "yellow bus" daily. In fact, each time you pass one on the road, just pray this short prayer.
"Lord, please protect that bus and all who ride in it. Thank You, Jesus. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen."
Okay, I said I was excited about this, so let me get started.
Tuesday: September 15, 2015: Gifted (Day One)
Proverbs 18:16 - A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great. (NIV)
Years ago, and I mean years ago, Dolores gifted me with a never-ending calendar. The calendar is called "Men of Character," and I had it on my desk for a few years and then set it aside. It has been lying on a shelf beside my bed for a long time. Before I came to the keyboard today I had to go and lay down. My body was really in pain. I was talking to our Lord Jesus and asking Him for a subject. Then I saw the calendar and turned to September 15th and here is word for word what it said:
"I am not afraid of anything as long as I think of Jesus Christ and my relationship to Him and remember that the One who created the universe can do anything. I also have evidence--my own experience--that God can do anything, because He changed me." Ben Carson (Gifted Hands)
Brothers and sisters, this is Dr. Ben Carson, the surgeon who has the gifted hands and who is also running for President of the United States of America. I know this man is now working for God, but like a lot of us, we did not always do that. Please note in Dr. Carson's writing where he states "that God can do anything, BECAUSE HE CHANGED ME." Well, brothers and sisters, he changed me also. Dr. Carson has separated joined twins and I believe while they were in the womb.
We, all of us, have been gifted by God, and I am not just talking today about the gift of Salvation. I am talking about other ways God might have gifted you. He has gifted all people, but some do not use the gift to advance the work of God. Some people have told me I have the "gift of gab" but I am talking about a real true gift of God.
Would you share your gift with me and let me know how you use it to promote God's work? If you have a great gift and are not using it to promote God, maybe I can give you a few suggestions. Also, can I quote you, if I only use your first name?
One of my gifts from God, which came through Miss Elizabeth Railing, my high school typing teacher, is I can type without looking down at the keyboard. And I held that gift in me for a long time before I put it to work for God. Please met me hear from you.
The gift talked about in our scripture is a gift used as a bribe. Is there a way we can use our gifts from God to bribe others to come to Jesus? I think so and will talk more on that tomorrow, God willing.
One gift we all should have and it is the greatest of all gifts, is the gift of love, shown to us by Jesus Christ as He shed His blood for us. Do you have that gift of love?
Now please go forward serving Jesus and sharing His love. Love ya.
Pastor Dan
P.S. If anyone can find me an email address for Dr. Ben Carson, I would love to share this with him.

Monday 9/14/15 Planning (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, and I really appreciate all You do for all of us. Thanks for the safety You provided this day for us. I pray today for the family of the trooper who was gunned down during the night, and I pray also for the family of the shooter as both have suffered in these events. Please, dear Lord, bring peace to this crazy old world we live in. Please help me with the message today. May what I type be from You, and please then help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: Another police shot dead last night while doing his duty protecting others. This one in Kentucky. And listen to this one. A police officer on patrol in Philadelphia, PA, stopped at a Starbucks and walked in, in uniform, and asked to use the restroom, and he was told that it was for paying customers and they turned him away. More than likely on a police officer's salary he could not afford to purchase coffee at Starbucks. Please pray for our police. Oh, and did you see the news that happened right here in our area? A school bus caught fire and really burned up. The driver got all the children out. PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. Planning pays off. Speaking of planning, I told you that today I would write on a "Plan of Salvation." So let me get to it.
Monday: September 14, 2015: Planning (Day Two)
Brothers and sisters, today I will list one scripture at a time and we will talk about that one.
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (NIV)
In this scripture we find out who needs salvation which only comes through Jesus. My answer to that one is very simple. Only those who want to go to Heaven.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NIV)
Don't you just love this, it is telling us that the wages of sin result in death, not talking dollars here but if we are laboring all of our life and have not come to Jesus all of that labor is wasted. However, there is a gift from God which is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord. I want to talk just a minute about a gift. A gift requires two people, the one who gives the gift and the one who receive the gift. Our Lord Jesus left us all a gift, and they must be picked up by each of us, as it is a personal relationship that you must have with Jesus. No one else can claim your gift from Jesus. I will say Amen to that one. Will you?
Matthew 9:13 - "But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (NIV)
How often do you go to your doctor when you are healthy? Not often. However, when you are sick, off to the doctors you go. Our Lord Jesus, when He walked this earth, went to the sinners, those who really needed and wanted His touch. The righteous, or self-righteous, needed His touch also, but they did not realize it. I just wonder how many self-righteous people sit in a church today and are not saved? Do any of you church-goers fit that bill?
The bottom line on Matthew 9:13 - WE NEED TO REPENT OF OUR SINS.
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (NIV)
This is part of the greatest love story ever recorded in history. God loves us, each one of us in the world, that He gave us His Son, His Son Jesus, who died on The Cross for all of us. That is what is meant by World, Jesus did not die for the world but for all the people who make up the world. To show you just that let me now add in ...
John 3:17 - "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (NIV)
God did not want to condemn the world. He already did that once with a really big flood. He wants to save the world. Again, meaning all the people of the world.
Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (NIV)
You need to understand that God died for us back then, "When He was on the Cross, I was on His mind." Yes, that is from a song and right now I cannot remember the title of the song. I am sure someone will send me that title. I do want to point out one of my favorite scriptures right here. On the Cross is where Jesus paid for our sins. The Cross, brothers and sisters. The Cross.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)
Just so you know, brothers and sisters, while we might change, change daily even, Jesus does not. He indeed is the same.
Romans 10:9/10 - 9 That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, there you have some planning of what must be done to be saved. I know it was long, but well worth it for me to write it, if it just finds its way to one person who is lost. AND YES, YOU MAY FORWARD ANYTHING I WRITE. Use it for God, please. Brothers and sisters, we do not need a religion, we need a relationship, a relationship with God. Yes, it is faith-based, and now that you have the plan, are you ready to act on it? Will you please pray this prayer of confession today, pray for Jesus to come into your heart and live? This is up to you, I can only lead you.
Dear Father in Heaven, I come to You this day confessing my love for You and asking You to forgive me of my sins. According to Your Word if we confess with our mouth that You are Lord, dear Jesus, and believe in our hearts that God raised You from the dead, we will be saved. I so confess this today, asking You to save me according to Your Word and asking You to place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I love You, Jesus, I love You and pray in Your Name. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, if you prayed that in faith, you are indeed saved.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Sunday 9/13/15 Planning (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much and I appreciate all the plans You have laid out for us, long before we were even in the womb. Thanks for a great church service this morning coming right into our very own living room. Thanks for watching over our family and our friends, and we would appreciate it, dear Lord, if You would continue that blessing. We also ask that You would watch over our flock on this line. Please help me now with the daily message and then to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus I give thanks and pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: Years ago I sat in my homeroom at John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA, watching the clock. We had to go back to our homeroom to be dismissed. The period from 2:55 PM to 3:05 PM seemed to last forever. How I wanted out of school to get in my car and head to work. Seems like that was just yesterday and last year we had our 55th reunion. Where did all that time go? Along the lines we did a lot of planning about a lot of things. Today I want to talk to you a bit about planning.
Sunday: September 13, 2015: Planning (Day One)
Proverbs 14:22 - Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness. (NIV)
Growing up as a child I did not need to worry or be concerned about plans and planning as my parents would take care of that. I did not plan much in school either, and that led me to take the Submarine course. Yes, I think we had that for all my grades were below "C" level. All kidding aside, others would plan the dances, others planned the service, Danny just had to plan a tad, I just had to be there. Most of the time I just planned on going to work, the only school dance I went to was my senior prom.
After I graduated (thanks to the help of Patricia Wells Pierce) planning became more involved. It seems like I was always planning something and that has not changed.
When working at Central Dauphin School District heading up the transportation department, planning went on year-round. And safety drills, thanks to Bob Coburn, my assistant for a lot of years, we had some of the best planned drills a district could have. We rolled buses over and had drivers watch and the first responders, fire companies and ambulances would drill with us. One drill I will never forget was when we showed drivers just how long they had to get kids out of the bus if there was a fire. With drivers watching, Bob lit a small brown paper bag like a lunch bag and laid it on the seat of one of our old buses. Within a minute the seat was on fire with heavy smoke in the bus. In less than ten minutes the heat was so high in the bus that the windows were breaking. Yes, of course the gas tank was removed as safety came first, even in drills. Planning and planning.
This morning I was watching a news show before our church service and they were talking about how much planning is going into the Papal visit later this month. I might add here to all of you that we need to cover our Catholic brothers and sisters in prayer that there is not a major hit on them. While I do not refer to a priest as "Father," I just refer to them as pastor, as other than our earthly father the only one we should be calling "Father" is our Father in Heaven. However, they are a Christian-based religion and we, regardless of our church affiliation, need to cover them in prayer.
Tomorrow I want to write more on Planning and what I want to write about, God willing, will be a Plan of Salvation, with all the scriptures to show each one where they come from.
Please, as we pray for the events that are coming with the visit of Pope Francis, pray that they are all "Born Again" and the Holy Spirit overwhelms all those going to the event.
Our scripture of today asks this question. "Do not those who plot evil go astray?" And yes, they do. Those who plot evil, just like Satan himself, have no future to look forward to, only the fires of hell. The scripture also states, "But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness." Which side of this fence do you want to be on? Your choice. Just as you have a choice of going to Heaven or Hell.
Tomorrow the Plan of Salvation.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Friday 9/11/15 When All Else Fails (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Dear Lord, thank You for police, firefighters, first responders, our men and women of our military, and please bless them each day as they put their lives on hold to protect others. Lord, please be with Firefighter, Chief Robert Lee Coburn and bless him and watch over him and his family. Lord, looking back and seeing what happened 14 years ago is a real reminder of just how much we need You. Again we ask blessings on America, and I pray more and more people come to You for salvation. Please help me now with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I give praise and offer up my prayers. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, please pray for our first responders, our police, firefighters, military, and all others who work to keep us safe. Please pray for President Obama and his family and also please pray for our former presidents and pray hard for President George W. Bush. Regardless of what you think of this man, he was a great leader for our nation and history will bring that out. He did not lie about weapons of mass destruction. They were hauled away before we went in. They are being found now. Pray hard again today for our nation and add our schools to that list. Now let me get to the message, When All Else Fails.
Friday: September 11, 2015 / 2001: When All Else Fails (Day Two)
1 Samuel 12:23 - As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters: This morning I did about what I did 14 years ago. I got up early as I always do, I made breakfast and sat down in the same chair I was sitting in 14 years ago when the attacks on our nation hit. I got a chill over me, a real chill as I watched as they replayed the events of that day. You could hear it like it happened as people cried out. Some would yell "holy s---," others would be saying "pray for our country." You could see people jumping from those buildings, you could see people helping people and it did not make a difference what they looked like, meaning the color of their skin. They helped each other, arm in arm sharing water and getting a breath of fresh air off the masks of firefighters. As those folks were running out, one thing was very clear, FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE were running in. That happened then and it still happens today. Our firefighters, first responders, police, and military are still running in while others run out. One thing different, sometimes they are getting shot at as they respond to help others. Brothers and sisters, we need to cover these men and women with prayer daily, not just now and then.
Today I listed one firefighter, Chief Robert Lee Coburn, Colonial Park Fire Company, and now a dear brother of mine. As I sat and watched this morning I not only got chills but I cried and cried. Then I gave "Bob" a call and thanked him once again for what he did and still does. Oh, Bob and the Colonial Park Fire Company were the ones who gathered me off the street on December 24, 1990, coming up on 25 years. This, another event I will never forget, really made me appreciate what these men and women do. While those brave heroes from New York City were and still are brave, they were paid. Most all of our firefighters and first responders across this great land DO NOT GET PAID. They are volunteers, they do it for the love of their communities, they do it because they can help others and they save lives and property, and if they are saved and have come to Jesus I am sure they will be honored in Heaven.
I look back and must wonder how many of those people were saved at their time of death on 9/11/2001 or how many might have "come to Jesus" as the stood together in those burning buildings. Our scripture today points out that FAILING to pray is a sin. So I ask you this day. Do you take time to pray? Today I am going to use a scripture that I used yesterday.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Dear Father in Heaven, please hear our prayers this day for our nation and I pray this day our nation will come back to You, for it really seems to me all else has failed. In Jesus' Name, I pray this day, and Lord, help us all remember that failing to pray is a sin as pointed out in Your Word. And Lord, please hear the prayers this day from those seeking salvation through Jesus, I pray many come to You this day. Thanks, Lord, and again it is in Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
Now please go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.

Thursday 9/10/15 When All Else Fails (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please, Lord, bless me with a fresh start today. Thank You for watching over those we have been praying for, and all glory to You for a blessed event in Myerstown, PA. Again, all glory and honor to You. Lord, please be with our country each day, and we do pray for the events of tomorrow on this date that some in America have already forgotten. Lord, help people to return to You as they did after that event. Please help me now with the message and then help me to get it dispatched, and may it always be written to please You. In the Name of Jesus, I pray and give thanks. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, please, please pray for our nation and for people to come back to Christ. The events in Myerstown that we prayed for went well. All honor goes to our Lord Jesus. Please also pray for our cities and towns. Harrisburg, PA, my hometown, needs lots of prayers. Let me get to the message, When All Else Fails.
Thursday: September 10, 2015: When All Else Fails (Day One)
Psalm 89:28 - I will maintain my love to Him forever and my covenant with Him will never fail. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, back in the days of my childhood, "when the streets were still dirt," I grew up in Harrisburg, PA, and went to city schools. I started first grade at Melrose School, and was moved to D.A. Marshall in fourth grade when that school first opened. Back in those days school opened with the reading of the Bible and a prayer. Starting in fourth grade we had to read from our own Bibles. Our Jewish brothers and sisters read from their Bibles, our first testament, and our Catholic brothers and sisters read from their Bibles. I could not read and when it was my turn to read it was either Psalm 23 or Psalm 100 which my dear late mamma helped me learn and memorize. I would go up and open my Bible and recite the scripture. It did not hurt anyone to hear the Bible, pray, and then pledge our flag. Along the way something happened!
We threw God out of school! Now let us fast forward to today. Take a look at our schools! What a mess! School shootings over and over again and it has happened a lot. And when it does, what happens? People, even the President of the United States, calls on people to pray. YES, WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, we call on God, we call on our Lord Jesus for comfort and support, and we should, but WHY NOT DO IT FIRST? Why not get enough people to form a circle around that school and pray for God's protection? Oh, I forgot, that would not be politically correct, that would offend someone.
On September 11, 2001, our country was hit by the terrorists on our World Trade Center buildings in New York City and our Pentagon in Washington, DC and where that plane went down in Somerset County, PA. Then there was a call out for God. People were called to prayer by then President George W. Bush and people responded. Churches were filled, people started going to church or back to church. Yes, WHEN ALL ELSE FAILED, we went back to our Lord God.
Now we see it again, church attendance is down compared to those days after 9/11/2001. Must we wait for something else to happen again to call on help from our Lord? Hey, you don't need to just look at the big events, sometimes we just need to look over our own selves. Do we pray to start the day? Or do we wait until things start to go wrong? When all else fails, we tend to go to God! Why not go to Him, our Lord and Savior, before something fails? Or better yet, let us do as David did in our scripture today. I will bring it down for you.
Psalm 89:28 - I will maintain my love to Him forever and my covenant with Him will never fail. (NIV)
It is time that we all make a covenant with Him, our Lord and Savior, and do our part so it will NEVER FAIL. To do that it will take daily prayer, a lot of daily prayer.
Proverbs 11:14 - For lack of guidance a nation fails, but many advisers make victory sure. (NIV)
Our nation is failing, and why, we have walked away from God as a nation. Our country needs many advisors, but I ask you now, how many of them seek out God before they do things? How about the agreement going on with Iran? They are going to get a nuclear bomb, a big one for sure. Americans, Christians, we need to stand arm in arm with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel for that is OUR HOMELAND. Come on, brothers and sisters, and pray!
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Let us pray and let God heal our land. Amen.
Will you join me today and make a covenant with God and do your very best to stick with it?
Dear Father in Heaven, today, today I want to make a covenant with You to love You until the very end. I want to walk with You daily and talk with You daily, and more so I want to listen for what You are telling me to do and honor You by doing those things. In Jesus' Name, I pray and make this covenant. Amen.
Now go forth and pray and pray and pray while you serve Jesus. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 9/9/15 Lost (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for hearing our prayers. Thank You for loving us so much You gave us Jesus to die for us and The Holy Spirit to comfort us and live in us. Thanks for sending Missy home to us. All honor and glory to You, Lord. Please forgive me when I mess up, and please know I do love You with all my heart. Please head up this home always. Please help me today, on this our Salvation Wednesday, with another message that can only come from You, and then please help me to get it dispatched. In the loving Name of Jesus, I give thanks and pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, after writing last evening, we again searched our home, looking for Missy with a flashlight because her eyes glow in the light pointed at her. She was not found and I suspected she might have been under that old step that I cannot get to. We headed to bed, Dolores with Angel, our female Yorkshire rescue and me with Martin Martin Jr., our white Yorkshire, and Marvin, our other really big house cat. About 12:30 AM I woke up (potty time for an old guy) and with all the other animals secured, I went to the back door where our house cats can go into the play yard and opened the door and in walked Missy! I shouted PRAISE THE LORD, and I could hear Dolores say praise God, she is home safe. Like my example from yesterday, a shepherd never stops looking for one of his lost sheep or in this case a lost cat. Thanks for all the notes I received on this writing. I really appreciate those notes.
Please remember it is Salvation Wednesday on this line, so please pray for the lost and try even harder to lead people to the Lord. Now to the message:
Salvation Wednesday: September 9, 2015: Lost (Day Two)
Jeremiah 50:6 - "My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains. They wandered over the mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place. 7 Whoever found them devoured them; their enemies said, 'We are not guilty for they sinned against the Lord, their true pasture, the Lord, the hope of their fathers.'" (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, with a special attention to all pastors who follow this line, which of course includes me. According to the scriptures we who have been assigned a flock by God and/or His church are going to be held accountable for that flock. Again God has trusted us with His sheep, the people of His pastures, and we need to really work at keeping them near to Jesus even as we welcome in more and more sheep to the flock. While I do not want to name any different religions, there are some that are leading their flocks in the wrong direction. One I will mention is the Unitarian Church. It seems that anything is okay with them.
Brothers and sisters, if your pastors are not preaching SALVATION, get up and run, get out of that church and find one that teaches what happened on the cross and why it happened. One that teaches the forgiveness of sins and believes everything in the Bible. In some denominations, one church will differ from another, and the pastor will lead the flock. Again, be sure the pastor is leading you toward the cross and not away from it. The best way to be sure is to CARRY YOUR BIBLE and follow that and cross-check your pastor with The Word of God. When the shepherd lets his flock wander away, this is what happens. "Whoever found them devoured them." That is from Jeremiah 50:7 and if we were talking real sheep, the other animals would get them and eat them, as sheep are defenseless. When we wander away from our Shepherd, we are also defenseless, and Satan and his evil workers will "eat us up."
As earthly shepherds we need to protect our flock from Satan and the only way to keep evil from "eating them up" is to teach them the Word of God so they have the protection of our GREAT SHEPHERD, our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
Pastors, will you pray this with me today?
Dear Father in Heaven, please help me as a pastor not to lead my flock away. I want to always work for You and be leading the flock in and not drive them away. Help me with that, dear Lord. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now brothers and sisters, it is Salvation Wednesday and I must take this time to lead all who might be lost to come to Christ. This according to the following scripture.
Romans 10:9/10 - That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (NIV)
I cannot pray this one for you, only lead you. Please come to Christ, or come back to Christ or just renew in Christ today.
Dear Father in Heaven, according to Your very own Word, I want to confess to You my love and my sins. I do believe in Jesus and that You, Father, raised Him from the dead. I believe it and have faith in You. Please place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life today and reserve my place in Heaven. I love You, Lord, and pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Please keep praying for America as we in two days are looking at another anniversary of 9/11/2001. Pray, warriors, pray!!
Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.

Tuesday 9/8/15 Lost (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me as today I started out without talking to You first. Thanks for listening when I finally remembered. Lord, please help us locate Missy. Lord, thanks for the three new lives that touch us. Please bless Emit, Kian and Grace, and we give thanks for these new babies, these new gifts from You. Please help me now with the message and to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters. Regardless of your religion, please pray for safety when Pope Francis is in Philadelphia, PA, later this month. You know all Christian religions are under attack from terrorists and there will be a million or more people going to see the leader of the Catholic Church. Pray for a peaceful event, and pray for people to remember that he is not Jesus and they should not bow down to anyone other than our Lord Jesus. Please pray for us to locate Missy, our one beautiful big house cat. Yes, it is our hunting and hunting for her this evening that God has me taking a look at the subject, Lost. So let me get started and see how this works out.
Tuesday: September 8, 2015: Lost (Day One)
Luke 15:3 - Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home." (NIV)
One of my favorite pictures of Jesus is the one where Jesus is shown with the lost sheep in his arms. That picture hung on my office wall at the Central Dauphin School District Transportation Center from 1984 until I left the district in 1993. This picture reminded me and still reminds me of the fact that I was once a "lost sheep." Yes, the scripture is a parable telling us that we who were lost are welcomed in the arms of Jesus and also there are more lost out there to tell about Jesus. In other words, we become the shepherd of the Lord and we are to seek out the lost sheep. And while in most cases we might not put one of those people lost in our arms, we lead them in, in a different way.
Today our dear house cat Missy is missing and she has done this before, and I pray she is not outside for she has been declawed. I pray she is not stuck under some broken pieces of our old wooden back steps that I cannot get to. I don't know how many times this sweet thing has gone missing, and each time we find her we rejoice and praise God. So why am I talking about my cat on this subject? It is not just the cat, it is how many times we welcomed her home and Jesus, our Lord Jesus will welcome us back time and time again. Each time we slip and fall and come back to Christ there is rejoicing in Heaven. So if you are a person who has slipped away from God, please, will you come back today, regardless of how many times you have walked away? WILL YOU COME BACK NOW? Please, if you are lost, please pray this sinner' prayer with me. Come home, come home, ye who are weary, come home! Today I am back with Jesus, and I have been for a long, long time, so today I am leading you who are lost in this prayer. Please come back today.
Dear Father in Heaven, I confess this day that I have walked away. Please, Lord, I want to come back. Forgive me, Lord, I do believe in You, and I confess myself to You again this day. Thanks for taking me back. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Please cover me with prayers for awhile. I have been in pain since a 1990 motorcycle accident and the pain level is out of control. I will also need at least one surgery in the near future. I will keep you posted. However, with that said, I am going to work for our Lord Jesus some way each day. NO TURNING BACK.
Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.

Love ya.

Monday 9/7/15 Laboring (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me for sins I have done even if I did not know I did them. Thanks for watching over this line and all that use it. Thanks for the baby girl born to LeaAnne and Brian and all glory to You for their health. As I pray this day I ask that You protect people on this holiday and also protect all those services that will be coming this week as we have services for those who lost their lives years ago on September 11th. Father in Heaven, please help me now with the message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, God has blessed LeaAnne and Brian Clugston with a beautiful baby girl. LeaAnne is the daughter of Grant and Wanda Crockett and I was blessed to marry LeaAnne and Brian a few years back. I had a request from Pat Stauffer that we pray for a memorial service coming on September 8th in Myerstown. That has my mind saying we need to be really praying for our nation this week. Even moreso than we do daily.
Two police officers ambushed last night. One was shot, the other CAUGHT THE SHOOTER. In Harrisburg, PA. A gang of young punks tore up a store and lots of cars on Saturday evening including the police chief's personal car. One of the young kids shot himself. He was not hurt bad but will not talk to police. Another person was shot on the 400 block of Market Street in downtown Harrisburg. PRAY FOR PEACE, brothers and sisters, please pray for peace. Let me get to the message, Laboring.
Labor Day Monday: September 7, 2015: Laboring (Day Two)
Note: When I wrote yesterday about laboring, I had no knowledge that LeaAnne was laboring to deliver their baby.
2 Thessalonians 3:6 - In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you have received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, LABORING and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. (NIV)
Let's look at the scripture God gave me for today. Brothers and sisters, it tells us we are to stay away from those who are idle, meaning those who will not work. Let me say there is a difference between those who will not work and those who cannot work. We need to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves, but those who just will not work, we should stay clear of them. The Bible is clear about those who WILL NOT work, saying they should not eat. Here in America we are nearing the point where we have more people in the cart than pulling or pushing on it. So on this Labor Day I say to all of you that are in the car, try and get out and help pull it or push it. Most everyone can do something!!
Dear Father in Heaven, give us the strength we need to help take care of ourselves and also help take care of some who cannot take care of themselves. Please watch over Your children on the roads today. And Lord, bless this house please and help us always let You stand over it. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth serving Jesus. Love ya.

Sunday 9/6/15 Laboring (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins this day, and thank You for a great message sent by the way of cable right into our own living room for church services this morning. Thanks for watching over us throughout the night and again into this day. Please be with those still on the road traveling. Be with those that are on the road delivering vehicles from one point to another and protect them. Please, Lord, bless me with the message and then help me to get it dispatched. In the name of Jesus, I give You praise, honor and glory and lift up my prayers. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, tomorrow is Labor Day, and most people do not labor. I know it is a holiday set aside for all those who labor daily. Please be safe in what you do!! Praise God our military, our police, firefighters, etc., stay on the job. Oh, I just heard the news this morning, 105 murders so far this year in Washington, DC. Mr. President, please park "our" big jet and you and those in our houses of Congress, why not stay in Washington and take care of that problem first?
All around this great land we call America, a country trillions of dollars in debt, and in cities going bankrupt, people will gather around to see fireworks sent to the sky. I wonder if for just one year, one year, we did not have fireworks on holidays and after ball games, etc., and we used those same dollars to feed the hungry and house the homeless, how much better we would be. Let me get to the message, Labor.
Sunday: September 6, 2015: Laboring (Day One)
1 Corinthians 3:8 - The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's Building. (NIV)
Did you ever stop and think about what might happen if the men and women who plant our fields and water them would take off days at a time? Did you ever stop and think about what would happen if the drivers of those big rigs hauling food would all stop driving for a long time? New York City would run out of food in just days without those daily food trucks coming in. What would happen if those who drive those fire trucks all took Labor Day off? Well, folks, the Bible tells us to take a day of rest, and I have decided that as for writing I would use Saturday.
However, with that said, to me working for Jesus is a "labor of love" and regardless of our age I myself want to "labor for Him" from dawn to setting sun. What about you?
Verse 9 above states we are God's field, and if you recall the Bible tells us His harvest is ripe but the workers are few and we are to go into those fields and work that harvest. Let's look at that scripture.
Matthew 9:37 - Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." 38 "Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest fields." (NIV)
Over the years plans change, people change, but Jesus does not. Going from experience Dolores and I have had to slow down, we have had to make changes due to health and I am sure God understands. We pray and pray for new directions and you folks can do the same. Think about some ways to go into the fields and help. It is not all up to your pastors, they need your help. Going back to that verse 9 it also say is we are God's building. To me that means we must stand strong for Him and not let things distract us. Over the years I have prayed for a lot of people in the food store, and yes, I asked them first. Not many who are struggling will turn you down. In other words, Labor Day is not a day for a Christian not to labor for our Lord Jesus, for every day we should labor for Him.
Dear Father in Heaven: Help us each day to labor for You in some way or another. I know if You send us out according to Your will, You will also give us the tools to get the job done. Help us, Lord, to always try our hardest to do Your will. And Lord, if someone on the line is not saved, I pray this is the day that they will come home to You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.
