Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I give You praise and honor for another day. Thank You for watching over families and and friends and the Carry The Light Ministries and those who support the ministries that You have laid on our hearts to handle for You. Please forgive me of my sins this day and continue to watch over this line. Your love is strong and I ask that You hold me up with Your unfailing love. Please keep watch over Dave and Jeff. Also please watch over Patsy and Burt. Also watch over Ruby and heal also the eyes of Glenn and also Patricia. Please be with our troops, police officers, firefighters, and all others that are on the front line keeping us safe. Lord, please help me with the daily message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, again I would like to start out by making a statement. Above all else, Dolores and I love Jesus Christ as our personal savior. We also love all of you very much. We also want to serve the Lord in all we do. We also believe in the Word of God as found in our Bible and we believe in it from the front to the back. In other words, we stand on His Word and we believe He died and was risen from the dead. Our complete ministry team believes the same way. My writings are based on the truths found in the Bible as given to me by our Lord Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit. I attest my name to this. Pastor Daniel W. Lehman.
Now please let me get to the message, Waiting.
Tuesday: December 2, 2014: Waiting (Day Two)
Isaiah 30:17 - A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away till you are left, like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill. 18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who WAIT for Him! (NIV)
Isaiah 64:4 - Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, who acts on behalf of those who WAIT for Him. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, let me go over these two scriptures. In Isaiah 30 we are told that our Lord is a "GOD OF JUSTICE." He also has told us that those who "WAIT FOR HIM" will be blessed. And while God blesses all people, even those non-believers, we who are willing to REALLY WAIT will be blessed even more. PRAISE THE LORD, PRAISE THE LORD, glory be to God, well, GLORY!
I love this, look deep into Isaiah 64 and look at this. "No eye has seen any God besides You." People, even believers, have said they have never seen God, and I want to tell you that I have and if I tell you how I have seen God, maybe you would then say, yes, Pastor Dan, I have also seen God. Let's start in the spring, after that long hard winter we see the face of God showing up in the flowers coming up through the ground, the "rebirth" starting to come. As the sun warms the air and the Son warms our bodies, we see the trees starting to bud, and we see the birds coming back and building nests. We see that wild animal in the woods, the deer and even those tiny little wildcats having their young. Then summer comes and the fields are green and the grain fields are golden brown. The wheat is ready for harvest as is the Lord's harvest. Then we look at Easter and relive the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus in our minds and hearts. Next it is fall and the leaves in the woods are turning color and then winter comes and the old dies off and/or goes dormant WAITING for God to wake it all up again. Beside that we have the birth of children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I see the Holy Spirit coming over us and prayerfully coming over you also. There is not a day goes by, NOT ONE DAY goes by that I can't see God, if I really take time to WAIT upon Him to show His face to me.
So now I ask you this, HAVE YOU SEEN GOD TODAY? If not, just go outside and open your eyes and look. God is there, He will never leave us or forsake us. Look at this.
Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord our God goes with you; He will NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. (NIV)
I just love backing up things with scriptures. It brings out the truth in the messages and the teachings God gives to me. Now let's look at this one last scripture for today.
Acts 1:4 - On one occasion, while He was eating with them, He gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but WAIT for the gift My Father promised, which you have heard Me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with The Holy Spirit." (NIV)
Here in the Words of Jesus we are being told that we will be Baptized with The Holy Spirit, and brothers and sisters, we need to have that happen to be "Born Again." This does not mean that we will be speaking in tongues, it means we will be filled with Jesus, filled with the Holy Ghost, and we should have changed over what we once were. If you have not been filled with the Holy Ghost, then start praying for it and start confessing yourself to God. You can see He told His disciples to Wait for it and we must remember we are His disciples of today. SOMEONE SHOUT PRAISE THE LORD.
Now go forth and share your blessings and then wait upon the Lord for He will be sending you so many more blessings. Love ya. Please share my love with others.
Pastor Dan
