Friday 3/21/14 Goals 4

Praise You, Jesus.  Thank You, Jesus.

Dear Father in Heaven.  What a beautiful day You have given us on this first full day of spring.  Thanks, Jesus, for the great report today from the heart doctor, the cardiologist.  Wow, all glory and honor to You.  Lord, I love You.  Please forgive me of my sins and  help me with this message today.  Please, Lord, watch over David, Patsy, Burt, Vicki, the Saylors, Grant and Wanda and their family.  Lord, help these fine people, please.  Please, Lord, help me with my message for Sunday morning and please help Dolores as she readies to play.  Help those who are coming for food tomorrow and keep them safe.  Help us to get a crew together to  help pack food and also to distribute it.  Now, dear Lord, please help me with the message and then bless it as it is dispatched with Your hand upon it.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, what a great big wonderful day this first day of spring has been here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  Let me please bring you up to date on a few things.  We still need help on April 5th for picking and packing and on April 12th to pray for folks coming for food and also to help load cars.  Update on me.  As you know, I did what I called a header out of the food pantry and landed on my head.  My face was busted up some and our neighbors, Art and Elaine, came over and helped me up and cleaned me up.  The next morning I felt like I was run over by a bulldog, one on the hood of a mack truck.  Also for a long time now I have been having chest pains and I have not said much, just gave it to God each day.  Yesterday, Dolores told me I just had to go and get my left hand checked as it was about twice the size it should have been  Okay, my left hand is broken, and I now have a cast that makes it very hard to type.  She put on a real cast that, believe it or not, I can take off.  So my hand is now on the way for God to knit my bones together.  My glasses were also bent up and one lens was messed up.  Well, glasses were covered by a warranty and a new lens is on the way.  Then off to the heart doctor, and I just knew he was going to send me to the hospital.  GOD WAS THERE FIRST.  PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR ALL HE DOES.  I had a perfect checkup at that doctor's, and my tests were perfect.  No need to change or add meds, my heart is great, and God is so good.  Okay, so I have a broken hand but a good heart.  Sounds good to me.  I love You, Jesus, and brothers and sisters, thanks for praying for me.  I love all of you.  Don't ever tell me that God doesn't heal.  Now I will watch as He knits my bones together.  Okay, let me get going on the last day of GOALS.

Friday:  March 21, 2014, The first full day of spring, Goals (Day Four).

1 Timothy 1:3 - As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer 4 nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies.  These promote controversies rather than God's work, which is by faith.  5 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.  (NIV)

1 Peter 1:8 - Thou you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even thou you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with inexpressible and glorious joy.  9 For you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.  (NIV)

As we set our goals in life we should be setting goals for working for God and those goals should be above all other goals we set in our lives.  Our goals should be to repent from sin, come clean with Jesus, follow His commands of keeping God first and loving our neighbors, but not to limit our goals to just those two great commandments.  Our goal should be to tell others all about Him and to tell them they really should be doing what we are doing for Him.  In all things we do, we really should put Him first.  In your very own family when raising your children, your goal should be to raise them in the name of Jesus.  Make your goal to always have Jesus first in your life.  And if you look at our scripture from 1 Peter, we have not seen Him now, so we make our goal to walk in faith, and the reward for us making our goal walking in faith will be salvation through Jesus Christ and being able to see Him face to face some sweet day.

So brothers and sisters, set your goals high, set them heavenly high, make them Godly goals, goals that will please our Jesus, our beloved Jesus.  And in life watch out for the old goal tender named Satan who wants to block you out.  Also set goals to live daily for God and to talk to Him a lot and to always read my message.  (Just kidding on the last one, but it would be nice.)

Now go forth and share your blessings.  I love ya.  Please share that love.

Pastor Dan
