Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for a really good year. Thanks for carrying us through this year, taking care of our every need, and helping us to help You take care of the needs of others. Lord, I love You very, very much. As I start this new year, please forgive me of my sins and start me out fresh and clean. Lord, I pray it is a very safe night across this land and that people will remember You and not just be going out drinking. Please help keep the drunks off the road, dear Lord, and protect Your children. Protect our military, our police, firefighters, and all others who work to keep us safe. Please watch over President Obama and his family. Lord, it is Salvation Wednesday here at Carry The Light Ministries, and Lord, I am excited, and all glory and honor to You that You gave me a chance to lead someone to You this very last day of our year 2014. Please watch over Erine and help her with her walk with You. Please bless Pastor Bob as he will work with her, I am sure. I love and appreciate all You do for us. Please take care of families, and please watch over our wayward son Matthew. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
My dear brothers and sisters: Today is Salvation Wednesday and God gave me the chance to talk to someone about Salvation today and that person invited Jesus into her heart. Please cover Erine with prayers. This young mother of four was referred to us by a pastor who knows the family needed food. This is the way our new food pantry is set to work. And for our last food delivery for 2014, we had a real chance to do what Carry The Light Ministries is to do for our Lord, FEED THE BODY AND THE SOUL. And this young mother has a brand new birth date. 12/31/2014, she was "Born Again." All honor and glory to God, and I am going to just shout it out. WELL, GLORY, GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST. PEACE ON EARTH -- AMEN & AMEN.
Now let me get to the message, the last one of this year.
Salvation Wednesday: December 31, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Sixteen)
The Magi Visit the Messiah
Matthew 2:1 - After Jesus as born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, "Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star when it rose and have come to worship Him." 3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. 5 "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written: 6 "But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means lest among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a Ruler who will Shepherd my people Israel.'" 7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the Child. As soon as you find Him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him." 9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, I had asked the question how many kings were at the manger when Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary. I had a few answers. The second part of the question was how many kings (magi) delivered the gifts and what were the gifts.
For a point of reference we are going to be working out of this scripture for the next few days. The answers to the questions:
How many kings were at the manger when Jesus was born? Only one, that would have been "King Jesus." I want to point you to this scripture:
Matthew 27:11 - Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked Him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. (NIV)
That is proof enough for me that Jesus is our King. And we say Amen to that.
Now a lot of people think that the Wise Men, also known as kings, magi, or astrologers, arrived and visited Jesus at the manger. That did not happen. Here is my proof from the Bible:
Matthew 2:11 - On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
My next question was what were the gifts presented to Jesus and the proof for that is found the same scripture.
Matthew 2:11 - On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
So now we know there were three gifts, proven by scripture. Now, just one more question, how many kings delivered the gifts? My answer is more than one, but the Bible does not really tell you that there were three. Maybe it was, it sounds good, but again going by the Bible, and that same scripture.
Matthew 2:11 - On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
"They" would be more than one. So now let me ask you a question for tomorrow. I bring up this question because some people say that the Star that went up over where Jesus was did not move, that it just sat there. And it was a bright star that was always in the sky. What is your opinion on this? Did those who were bringing the gifts really just follow a star that was always there, or was there a "special star" that led them to Jesus? Yes, that is for tomorrow. And that is enough for today.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Your greatest blessing you have is Jesus, so please take time to "share Him" with others. Love ya. And please share my love with others also.
Pastor Dan
HAVE A SAFE, HAPPY AND BLESSED NEW YEARS EVE. AND I PRAY THAT GOD WILL BLESS YOUR EVERY MOVE THROUGHOUT THIS COMING YEAR.
HAPPY 2015
Blessings from Dolores also.

Friday 12/26/14 The Big Trip 15
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for a wonderful Christmas. All honor and glory to You. Please forgive us of our sins and start us fresh this day. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters: At the start of the trip, the Big Trip, I asked a question. According to the Bible, when Jesus was born, what were the three gifts brought to the manger and who brought them? Also, how many kings were at the manger?
As for a message today, I am just going to pray all of you have a blessed and wonderful weekend and tell you I love you. I am going to take a few days off from writing. Please share your blessings and pass my love on to others.
Love ya, Pastor Dan

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2014
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for Jesus, and Jesus, thanks for dying to save us all from our sins. Come upon us this Christmas Day, Holy Spirit. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks and pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters: May your stockings be stuffed with lots of good things, and your dinner be just the way you like it. May your joy be that of a newborn baby. And remember all those blessings that will need shared. Remember to stop and give thanks for that "Baby" is the one who this day is about. Not sure about your salvation right now? Please pray this with me.
Dear Father in Heaven: Please forgive me of my sins. I believe in You and trust in You. I confess that with my mouth and believe it in my heart. I believe you were born of a Virgin Mother, suffered on the Cross and died and were risen from the dead. Please write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Happy Birthday, Jesus.
Merry Christmas 2014.

Wednesday 12/24/14 The Big Trip 14
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, and I give thanks to You for all things. Thanks for carrying us forth for another Christmas Eve. Please be with pastors, priests, and all who have Christmas Eve services, helping them to remember that Christmas is not just about the birth of Jesus but also about Salvation. Please help me with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, it is Christmas Eve, and I want to get right to the message. It is a special Christmas Eve. Do you know why? It is also Wednesday, meaning it is Salvation Wednesday Christmas Eve. It is also a very hard time Christmas Eve. Please pray for peace. Please pray for police and first responders, and please pray for our military. Also please pray for those who are unsaved, and if you are not sure about them, pray for them anyway as if they were not saved. And please pray for our son Matthew, wherever he may be. Let me get to the message.
Salvation Wednesday: Christmas Eve, December 24, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Fourteen)
The Birth of Jesus
Luke 2:1 - In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a Child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the Baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a Baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests."
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the Baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this Child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, let's get this bus up and running. Old 36 is working well. Settle in now, things happen fast. As we left yesterday, Joseph had just settled in the stable with Mary. I will be pulling scripture down as we go. All the scripture will be from the NIV as shown above unless I quote it differently.
Luke 2:6 - While they were there, the time came for the Baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
Look, brothers and sisters, Mary is giving birth, and Joseph is helping her, but more so she has a stronger Helper, for we just know with this Child being delivered, the Power of the Holy Spirit will be right in there helping. As we watch I am so impressed with the way Joseph is handling all of this. Remember, Joseph is the earthly father of Jesus, and until this time he has not had any contact with Mary other than to help and take care of her and this Special Child. Let's watch some more. Joseph now has Jesus in his arms. Now brothers and sisters, turn your heads for a minute as Joseph hands Mary her Baby Son, whom she is about to feed. Think about it, brothers and sisters, I want to point out to all of you men right now, and yes, you women also. God built women like He did so they could feed their little ones. Don't you really think that before Jesus was placed in the manger Mary would have fed this Special Child? I think so.
Okay, Mary has now handed Jesus back to Joseph and he has placed Jesus into the manger. AND THE WORLD BECAME CHANGED FOREVER!! The sky got bright with a Holy Light, for indeed it was the Birthday of our King. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS!! The Baby was wrapped in cloths and placed in the manger. Where would they get clothes in a barn? More than likely Joseph and Mary packed these things, knowing the time was near, or maybe the innkeeper gave them some things to take to the stable. For me, I want to think of it this way. "Every need supplied." "Every need supplied." That still goes on today if we love our Lord God, he will supply every need. Someone say Amen.
Luke 2:8 - And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
The shepherds were located near and watching their flocks, and we know here it was night. An angel of the Lord. More than likely it was Gabriel since he has been dispatched by God throughout all the announcements. It is neat also to see how bright it got, for the GLORY OF THE LORD SHONE around them, and they got terrified, they were afraid. Here are shepherds, who stand watch at night, protecting their sheep from robbers and other animals, and they were not afraid of that, but let the Lord show up and light the place up and they get afraid. While we are to be in reverent fear of our Lord we surely want to be ready for when Jesus does return, for He will return in "a cloud of light" and since that will happen fast, if you see that light, you might not have made the cut. More on that after Christmas.
Luke 2:10 - But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a Baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Once again we see the angel tells them not to be afraid. Also we see here the angel telling them that he brings the GOOD NEWS. Do you remember Jesus talking about the good news?
Mark 16:15 - He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the GOOD NEWS to all creation."
Then the angel told them it would bring great joy to all the people and that the Savior was born to YOU, meaning us, brothers and sisters, it is very clear the Baby Jesus was born for us. Also said by the angel who is the messenger here, that he was just relaying words from God. "He is the Messiah, the Lord." And it was a sign to them, again meaning us this day. The sign, a BABY. So we find out the GOOD NEWS IS THE MESSIAH, THE LORD, AND IT IS A BABY. Oh my gosh, it is great. Let's look in some more. Anyone want a break? I didn't think so!
Luke 2:13 - Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests." 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the Baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this Child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
And Gabriel came with friends. As soon as the shepherds were told a great company of heavenly hosts appeared with the angel. Heavenly Hosts, what does that mean? More angels, (look above in verse 15) the group, the great company were also standing by to rescue Jesus from the cross if He were to have changed His mind. Of course we know He did not change His mind. He was sent to do a job, save us from our sins, and He did just that. Once again here I want to tell you that this BIRTH OF A CHILD IS ABOUT SALVATION. Let's move on.
After the angels left, the shepherd said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem." I wonder if one or two of the shepherds stayed back to keep watch over the flock? I would think that they would have left someone back. Why do I think that? Let's look at it this way. Do you think our Shepherd, our Lord Jesus, would ever leave us unprotected? Now the Bible tells us that as soon as they saw this Child they did what? Come on, say it. Come on, say it, you know it. As soon as they saw what was going on, they went and told others. YES, THEY WENT RIGHT OUT AND STARTED TELLING THE GOOD NEWS.
"GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN"
Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere,
go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.
The shepherds did as they were told to do and they went right away and started to tell that Good News. And all who heard them were amazed at what the shepherds told them. Amazed, they have seen nothing yet, nothing, let's put that to a song.
Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound that SAVED a wretch like me!
I once was lost but now am found; was blind, but now I see.
Brothers and sisters, does that fit you? I know it does me. Yes indeed, once WAS lost, but now "I" am found. Yes, brothers and sisters, I was also blind, but God's Amazing Grace let me see the Light, the Light of Salvation through Jesus Christ who is indeed the LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
1 John 1:5 - This is the message we have heard from Him and declared to you; GOD IS LIGHT; in Him there is no darkness at all.
Now you see where the Light comes from! Hold on, no breaks now.
Luke 2:19 - But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
As we see in the scripture, Mary really was not talking, as we look in and see that she just treasured these things and thought about them. Please, she was "pondering them in her heart." Brothers and sisters, as we think about things, we should always take this from our Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, and we should be thinking things over not just in our brain, but we really should run all things through our heart. Yes, we should.
Luke 2:20 - The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
According to the scriptures, after the shepherds left and told all they could find, they returned back to the manger, the BIRTHPLACE OF OUR KING and there they were glorifying and praising God and for what? FOR ALL THINGS!
So as I close out this part of the Big Trip, I want to point this out, as you go out and tell others the Good News. Keep Jesus in your heat, for that is our way today of returning back to Him. I want to join in now with what the shepherds did when they came back, back to the manger. Come on and join me.
Praise You, Jesus, Glory to God, I love You, Jesus, I love You, Lord, I love You, Lord, I Worship You, Lord, and I sing praise to You this day. Well, glory! I lift my arms in Praise, Hallelujah!
Brothers and sisters, as I leave you for this Christmas Eve, I want to leave you with a few things.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever.
Jesus does not change, but we do, and I pray today that You will grow in Jesus, day after day after day. Today we park our ride, Dave's bus number 36, and say goodnight to his dear wife and mother. Beverly and Linda, someday we will join Dave in Heaven. Until then he would want us all to keep going forward. We send you both our love, saying this. Jesus loves you and so do we.
And so as I go I must say this. Go forth now and share your many, many blessings, enjoy your Christmas, and love each other. Yes, I love ya, and I would really appreciate your sharing the love with others.
Pastor Dan

go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.
Pastor Dan
Silent Night, Holy Night, all is calm, all is bright.
'Round yon virgin, mother and Child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent Night, Holy Night, Son of God, Love's pure LIGHT.
Radiant beams from Thy holy face,
with the dawn of redeeming grace.
Jesus Lord at thy birth, JESUS LORD AT THY BIRTH.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A BLESSED, BLESSED CHRISTMAS!!
Blessings from our home to yours: Dolores and I love you.
December 24, 1990
Dear Father in Heaven: Twenty four years ago, Lord, my life was changed and spared by You. I want to thank You again for that and for all that the accident taught me. Please be with Chief Robert Lee Coburn this day and all the first responders from Colonial Park Fire Company and keep them safe and bless them, Lord. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
To Bob Coburn, Chief, Colonial Park Fire Company, and all others who read this today. This is an extra. My Christmas message on The Big Trip will follow.
On December 24, 1990, yes, Christmas Eve. At about 1:00 PM, I climbed onto my big white Honda Goldwing, pulling a trailer full of stuffed animals and candy canes to toss to some kids and have some fun. I was dressed, well, in a Santa suit, and I was headed first to the Dauphin Deposit Bank near K-Mart to put in the deposit for the service station in the night deposit. I pulled out of my service station in Penbrook, PA, and headed out Jonestown Road. I was stopped at the traffic signal at South Houcks Road and was first in line. I was in the left lane, because I would be turning left, and traffic was very heavy. I rode about a block and traffic was backed up, so I stopped, put both feet to the ground and was holding in my clutch and hand brake. I had already shifted back to first gear.
It was then I heard the squealing of brakes behind me. Watching in my mirrors, I could see it coming, then there was a crash, and I was standing, and then the car that was hit, hit the back of my little trailer. From there everything went into slow motion. I was sent flying through the motorcycle windshield and onto the ground. I know the lanes of traffic on both sides of me were moving, and I was not hit by a moving car. (Thank You, Jesus.) My right arm went under the truck in front of me, rear tire, and the driver of that truck did not move, he heard the crash and just parked and got out to see what happened, had he moved, my right arm would have been crushed. (Thank You, Jesus.) I must have been out of it for awhile, but I came alert enough to hear a cry from the car that hit me. "Grandpa just killed Santa Claus."
From there I was taken by ambulance to the Community General Hospital. What I did not know at the time was "Bob Coburn," who I think was an Assistant Chief at that time, was on one of the fire engines out of then Station Two, who when other trucks were told to return that he would come on in, for he knew in his gut it was me on the street. (Some about he did not know any other person dumb enough to be riding when it was 20 degrees.)
From that time on, "Bob" took charge, he took care of my cycle and had it taken to the fire station, then called Dolores and then stayed with her being comfort to her, having the full reports when she arrived at the hospital.
A couple of things happened that day besides me getting beat up by a big old Oldsmobile.
First, I could hear as plain as day God speaking to my heart that He wanted me working for Him full-time.
Second, from that day I learned to really respect "Bob" and what he did all his life. He ran into buildings when others ran out. Today I want to "thank him again" for helping me up and helping me grow up. Today we can pray together and love each other like "Christian brothers" should do. He also gave up his Christmas Eve to help me.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, all who read this, please take time this Christmas Eve and on Christmas and each day and ask God to protect all of our first responders.
Thanks again, Bob, I love you. Please be safe and have a Merry Christmas, and I pray God will bless your every move.

Tuesday 12/23/14 The Big Trip 13
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Thanks for helping all of us that ask, and thanks for leaving us the comforter in the Holy Spirit. Lord, please place Your healing hand on Your servants Patsy, David, Dolores, and Grant on this day. Lord, please bring calm and peace in our cities. Lord, be with the Harrisburg mother whose son was murdered last night. Comfort them, Lord, please comfort them. Please, Lord, help me with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Wonderful Name, I pray. Amen.
My dear, dear brothers and sisters, I greet you in the Name of our Mighty Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom I love very much and pray you all do likewise. As a little side note here, I did copy and paste the scripture today, as my hands are not working smoothly today. Patsy Emig needs prayer. Patsy lives in a retirement home and is a great witness for Jesus. People come to her room for prayer. She is being checked for pneumonia. Dolores is still very, very tired and needs your prayers. She was at the doctor's yesterday and he just told her to "take it easy." I pray you are enjoying the big trip. Let's get moving on it.
Tuesday: December 23, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Thirteen)
(NIV)
A lot of the above scripture we have covered; however, for the next few days we are going to be using this same scripture. Let's get the bus warmed up and go on ahead of Joseph and Mary and watch as they come to Bethlehem. Let's watch. Be quiet now, here they come. I am going to shut the bus off.
Wow, there are a lot of people. The Bible talks of course about Mary and of our coming Savior, but think here, lots and lots of people got the word about signing up to pay their taxes. Look now, they are coming up to the Bethlehem Hilton (stop it, Dan) ... okay, to that little Inn, and Joseph is taking Mary down from the donkey. Look how petty Mary is even after that long ride, and look how gentle Joseph is taking Mary off that donkey. Remember Mary is about to deliver a Child. Look, they are walking into the Inn hand in hand, so sweet. Look, Joseph opened the door for Mary. I would think they would get a room and after Joseph takes care of Mary would come out and take care of the donkey.
Look, look, Joseph is coming back out now and look, Mary is with him. I wonder what went wrong. Look, Joseph is putting Mary back on the donkey, and they are talking about there were no rooms left for them. If all those who got rooms would have known that a Baby was about to be born and that Baby would be Jesus, The Savior of The World, they more than likely would have given Joseph their room. Let us watch where they are going. They are going around the back of the Inn, and going into "the barn," "the stable." Wow, the donkey gets to stay inside, and those other animals, the camels and horses are lying down outside. It is getting really quiet. Joseph is putting hay together making a bed for Mary. He must know the hour is near for the Baby to be born because He is now making a manger out of one of the feed boxes. After Mary is lying quietly we see movement. Mary is, wow, is Mary giving birth now? The animals are all still, the time has come. OUR LORD JESUS IS ABOUT TO BE BORN.
Time to sing, and on this song we are looking ahead. As we wait at the manger, let us sing about that day when we will meet Jesus face to face. Wow, What a Day That Will Be!!
There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye:
All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore.
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see
And I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace,
When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
no more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there;
And forever I will be with the One who died for me.
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see
And I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace,
When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
Tomorrow we will watch and learn. Here are a few questions. This is not a trick question. How many kings were at the manger? What gifts did the kings bring for the Baby?
Tomorrow, more on that Baby "Who was born to Die, So We Might Live."
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please share my love with others.

Monday 12/22/14 The Big Trip 12
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Thanks for another day, dear Lord. Lord, I pray today for peace, peace like it was right when Jesus was born. Peace on earth. Lord, please, please protect our military and all our first responders here in America. Please be with Carry The Light Ministries as we reach out to help others. Be with Dave Fortney and heal him, Lord. Carry Joanne as she stands by her man. Lord, thanks for keeping that airliner from coming down over Baltimore. Lord, I pray today for Reverend Al Sharpton and I pray that he would help bring peace and talk about salvation instead of trying to get people to kill police officers. Father, please help me now with the message and to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, I do want to get right to the message today. However, I want to ask you to storm heaven with prayers of protection for our MILITARY, OUR POLICE, AND OUR FIRST RESPONDERS. Also pray for Al Sharpton to preach Salvation instead of hate. Please also keep covering Dave Fortney and my dear wife Dolores with prayers for healing. Thanks.
Monday: December 22, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Twelve)
As we pull out today in our big old yellow bus 36, I do want to just remember my dear late brother in Christ, Dave Cernugel, who drove bus 36 for Central Dauphin School District.
You recall we were watching as Joseph and Mary and others are heading on the trip from Nazareth to Bethlehem where they must register to be taxed. And remember that some folks are riding animals, others are walking. Here they come now, on that second day of the trip. I wonder where they spent the night. Maybe they just spent it sleeping on the ground. Wow, other than going to register, and Mary going to have a baby that will be our Savior, the trip is more than that. While they are walking, I want to drive on ahead and talk to you some.
Luke 23:32 - Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with Him to be executed. 33 When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified Him, along with the criminals -- one on His right, the other on His left. 34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do now know what they are doing." (NIV)
Yes, I wanted to make a stop off at a place called Mount Calvary, or the Skull. It was here where our Lord Jesus suffered and died to save us from our sins. As He was being crucified He asked His Father in Heaven to forgive the ones that were doing it.
This leads me to ask you the question, do you forgive others who have done something against you? Regardless if they knew what they were doing or not, do you forgive them? Not an easy thing to do, but it is a requirement if we want our Lord Jesus to forgive us. We pray that way in the Lord's prayer. "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." These are things that all came out of the Birth of Jesus as our Savior. You do remember yesterday when I used the term. Jesus was born to die, so we might live. Let's look at one more scripture today.
Luke 23:42 - Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into Your Kingdom." 43 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise." (NIV)
Again, this Baby Jesus was sent here to die, and He was forgiving people and healing people right up until He died on the cross, and of course He is still the same today as He was back then. Still in the forgiving business! Here we find that when He was asked to forgave the one criminal, Jesus forgave that criminal right before He was put to death. I was talking to a Pastor a few years back and telling him about a person that I led to our Lord Jesus while they were on their "death bed" in a hospital. The pastor told me he did not believe in bedside conversions. I told him it was in the Bible, and here was my example.
Brothers and sisters, our little Baby, our Lord Jesus, will forgive us if we just ask, and while we don't want to wait all that long, if you ask before you pass this earth and you do it in faith, you are in, you will be saved, Born Again, as you are passing this earth!! The sad part about waiting so long is you MISS OUT ON ALL THE FUN OF BEING A REAL CHRISTIAN. Not always easy, but we do have a hoot, we really do.
Well, I see Joseph and Mary coming and they are looking pretty tired. I think it is time they stop and rest again, looks like a place here where they can water and feed the animals and also the people can get some food and rest. Look, how gentle Joseph is as he helps Mary off the donkey. Good time for us to swing around and get some rest and maybe give the bus some fuel.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love to others.

Sunday 12/21/14 The Big Trip 11
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for the blessings that You have given to us. I love You, Lord. Please, dear Lord, please be with the families of the police officers who were gunned down in New York and in Florida yesterday, and please protect these protectors of peace. Please help me this Sunday with the message and then help me get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters: Before I get to the Big Trip, please take time to pray for our police officers to be protected by God. Maybe a good time to pray for "total peace." Please take time to read the special I put out yesterday. All honor and glory to God for the help we could give others. Now let me get to the Big Trip.
Sunday: December 21, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Eleven)
Today as we fire up our big yellow bus 36 we are going to watch as Joseph, Mary and many others start their long walk to the City of David and that town of Bethlehem. As we jut lumber on watching them travel, I want to talk to you about some other things. Look, do you see that? Mary is riding sideways on the donkey. That just cannot be comfortable. Joseph surely is looking back a lot as he leads the donkey. Do you notice how quiet he seems to be?
Revelation 3:20 - Here I am! "I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, as we head to the birthplace of our King, I just want to talk to you about something. As we celebrate the Birth of our Lord Jesus, we need also talk about and hopefully celebrate our rebirth. That is really what Christmas is about, the Birth of our Savior Jesus, a baby that was "born to die so we might live." So we look at our scripture of today, Revelation 3:20. Jesus is standing at the door, and in the pictures it shows there is no door handle on the outside of the door. For our Lord Jesus, this great gift given to us, will not force His way on you, He will just knock. He will know you, but He will not break the door down. No battering rams or fancy kicks by Chuck Norris, who is by the way a Born Again Christian. The reason you do not see the door handle is that you must let Him in. Picture that door as your heart, your very own heart. Today He is knocking, every day He will be knocking until you either invite Him in or block Him from entry. He will be there for you, wanting in, really wanting in. You need to let Him in before you "check out" or you will go to Hell!!
There is a big choice here for you to make, do you answer the door now? Are you ready to do that? Or are you going to just sort of miss the chance again? The birth of our Lord Jesus in the manger is really also about The Cross.
Luke 11:9 - So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you." (NIV)
As we look at one more scripture today, I was led to this. It is again talking about knocking, only this time Jesus is inviting you to knock. So how do we knock? You just said Jesus was standing at the door and knocking for us. Yes, that is right, but here is Jesus turning that around. It is not double-talk, folks. It would be us knocking, and how do we knock? Follow me on this.
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins. Please wash me white as snow, and I want you to know that I have faith in You and believe in my heart that You died for me and were risen from the dead. I believe that, Father. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now if you did that with me, you have just done a couple of things. If you prayed in faith, you indeed knocked for Jesus and you indeed opened the door of your heart for when He was knocking. And if it as the first time you have it and you did it in faith, WELL, GLORY, YOUR LIFE IS ABOUT TO CHANGE. Yes, when we pray, that is our way of knocking for Jesus. When He knocks on the door to our heart, that is His way of showing the love He has for you.
Wow, look, while we were doing that, Joseph and Mary and the others are settling in for the night. Tomorrow we will fire up the bus again. We will watch some and also see what else this birth of Jesus tells us. I can tell you this, it will be about SALVATION!
Go forth now and share your blessings, and please really think about what I am telling you. Love ya. And please share my love with others.

Friday/Saturday 12/19-20/14 The Big Trip 10
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Please forgive me of my sins and start me fresh again with You. Please help me now as we move forward with the message. Please watch over our President and his family as they fly out tonight for their vacation. Please keep watch over families and please, Lord, please help pastors preach about Your Word and the Truth when they preach and teach to those who only go to church on Christmas and Easter. Please be with and heal the others we have been praying for and please show us where our son Matthew is located. Now Lord, please help me with the message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, please keep praying for Dave Fortney as after his bad fall, he had a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and is learning things all over again. Please also keep praying for Dolores, Patsy, Burt, Barbie and others we have listed. Please pray for our President and all others who will be traveling over the long holiday period of Hanukah, Christmas and New Years. I want to get on with the message. We need to get moving out. So let's fire up School Bus 36 and move out.
Friday and Saturday: December 19/20, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Ten)
Luke 2:3 - And everyone went to his own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem, the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. (NIV)
Today I want to warm up this bus and get ready for the big trip. Let's see what animals they are going to use for this trip. I asked Thursday about how long this trip might take. The short trip, about 70 miles the way the crow flies, might be about that distance today because of roads and highways. In a vehicle it would take about one hour now, but back then walking, three to five days. Today I want to watch as they ready for this trip. What animals do you think they might use and how many?
As we park and we watch we are seeing more than Joseph going to a stable to get an animal, remember the scripture tells us, "So Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth." In other words all the people were going to their hometowns while some would be heading to other hometowns and some would be coming to Nazareth or other places. But we are going to just watch those going from Nazareth in Galilee on to Bethlehem. Look, here comes a couple of men with camels, here comes another with a horse. Oh, here comes Joseph, and he is leading a DONKEY, and look at that, look at that donkey, it has a cross on its back. Let me just tell you about the donkey, you see each donkey has a cross on its back, yes, even today, you check me out on this one. If the donkey is dark colored there will be a light stripe from the back of its neck to its tail, and a stripe across the donkey from one front shoulder to the other front shoulder. If it is a light colored donkey the stripe would be dark. Check it out for yourselves, when it was called to my attention, I checked it out.
Look at that, Joseph is fixing a blanket on the back of the donkey. Now it looks like some of their things are getting put on the back of the camel, seems like some are sharing that load a tad. Don't get too near that camel, it will spit on you. Joseph is going back into his home. People are starting to gather now, could they carry enough food for this trip? Don't worry, God provided then as He does now. Look, here comes Joseph back and he is holding the hand of Mary, gosh, that is so cute. Will he open the door for her? Oh, I forgot, they are walking. Look, Joseph is lifting Mary up onto the donkey. He is such a gentle man and so very strong and that donkey is standing firm, no jerking around or jumping. Remember, Mary is in that motherly way. It is time to move out on the trip. Of course we are going to wait to get going on this Big Trip. I want to write on Sunday as we will need those days to make those miles.
Go forth now and share your blessings. Remember God loves you, and so do I. Please pass on the love of God to others, and you may pass on my love also.

Thursday 12/18/14 The Big Trip 9
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for another day here on earth. I love You very much. Dolores loves You, and I pray all of our readers truly love You. Lord, please keep Your healing hand on the Emig family. Each member of the family needs a healing touch. Also please be with Barbie and heal her breasts. Also be with Gina and heal her from cancer. Thanks for Your touch so far as she is coming back after treatment. Please, Lord, help me with the message and help me to dispatch that message. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, Dolores is still very tired. We are so blessed by the fact that she is home and that God turned her around, but she still needs to get rest and plenty of it.
Some people have offered to drop off food; thanks for the offers, but we are fine, we really are. I have cooked over the years and have things frozen. Dolores will be placed on a special diet, I am sure. Please pray today for the Emig family, all are in need of prayers. Barbie also needs prayers, as does Gina. We need also to be praying for peace, world-wide peace.
I heard on the news that President Obama met with Pope Francis for a day and a half at the Vatican. Now for what I think happened. President Obama met with the Pope and that meeting lasted for just an hour, then he stepped into a confession booth and he sat there for the rest of the time with a few priests rotating their time. It was still going on when Air Force One needed to leave. Okay, I made that up, but would it not be nice if on a trip like that he would fall in love with Jesus? Okay, I am not really judging, just inspecting the fruit, so to speak. With that said, please everyone, pray for President Obama and also Pope Francis regardless of your religion. Let's get moving.
Thursday: December 18, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Nine)
Remember I took the bus home last night to catch up on some sleep, so let's get loaded and move out. Wow, that did not take long to get back here.
Luke 2:1 - In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) (NIV)
So we drive today to hear the announcement made by Caesar Augustus. This is called a decree. Okay, a man is coming out with a scroll and is going to read it. "Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye (or something like that), Caesar Augustus has just issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman World." So what does it mean? Well, it means that everyone must go and register and do it in the city where they are from, their hometown. Do these things happen today? Well, yes, or they should, we all should be registered. But what about all those who are sneaking in? Could you hear it today in our country, in the good old USA? It might go something like this.
The press is summoned to the White House, for President Obama is going to issue a decree. Teleprompters are set in place and after a bit our President comes to the podium. I am here today to issue a decree that all peoples must go to their hometown to register. Mr. President, I have a question. I am sorry, no questions today, thanks for coming.
So let me point this out, if our hometown is Harrisburg, PA, I would need to drive from Mechanicsburg, PA, to the city, about 30 minutes, to register. My friend and classmate on this line from Florida, Barbara, would need to come to Harrisburg to register. And the same with my friend Tom Sansoni, now living in the mid-west (Missouri). I want to bring this out as a point just to give you something to think about as we start heading across the desert with Joseph and his family. From any one point in the United States you can get to another point in the United States faster than Joseph and his family went about 70 miles (as the crow flies) back in the day. Tom could fly home, Bobbie could fly home and do it in the comfort of a big airliner or a bus or a car, whatever, if you would take the fastest method you could make it home. In fact you could get by plane anyplace in the world faster back then.
So we have heard the decree by Caesar Augustus and I did an example about today. Now your question, what would be your best guess about how long it took Joseph and family back then? Remember, it was about 70 miles as the crow flies.
Tomorrow we will look in as Mary and Joseph get ready to take THE BIG TRIP.
Now go forth and share your blessings. I love all of you, and Dolores does also. Please share our love and thanks to everyone.

Salvation Wednesday 12/17/14 The Big Trip 8
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins and help me do a better job of repenting. It is great having Dolores home, Lord. Thanks also for Your hand on Dave. Lord, please keep us safe. Please, Lord, watch over our leaders and our military and also our police and firefighters. Lord, please watch over Chief Coburn. Thanks for Your healing hand on him. Protect him and others who run into buildings as others run out. Help me with the message on this day we call "Salvation Wednesday" and as You help me with that help us who are saved to lead the unsaved to You. Also, please help me to dispatch the message You give me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, it is Salvation Wednesday and the day we all need to be working even harder to lead the lost to the Lord. If you have questions on how to do that, please send me an email at icarrythelight4God@ms.com. We can work on that one on one. Yesterday I listed Dolores' recovery as a Miracle of the Lord. I should have listed Dave Fortney as another Miracle of the Lord, for indeed He was spared by God and is working his way back to his old self. Please don't ever give up praying and having faith in our Lord Jesus. Now let's get back on board "old 36."
Salvation Wednesday: December 17, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Eight)
My question from yesterday: Can you see three names for Jesus in the one scripture I listed? Here is the scripture again and I will highlight the three names.
John 14:6 - Jesus answered: "I am The WAY and The TRUTH and The LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)
Yes, our Savior Jesus Christ can be called The Way, The Truth, The Life.
Matthew 1:24 - When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son. And he gave Him the name Jesus. (NIV)
We are sitting in bus 36 while we took a side trip, so I am going to fire that big engine and let it warm up.
We are watching as Joseph woke up from the dream and he did just what that messenger of the Lord, the angel, told him to do. Look, here Joseph comes out of his home and he is making tracks, really going fast. Let's follow him. Look, he is going to the home of Mary and going in. Look, he is coming back out with Mary. Let's follow them now. Just as the Bible tells us, Joseph is taking her home. Now he is walking her in. The Bible tells us they are now married, but he did not have sex with her until after the Birth of Jesus.
Now I must do something else. I am very tired, yes, really, no joke this time. So when driving, you need to pull over and sleep. I right now am parking 36 outside our home and going to sleep for awhile.
Go forth now and share your blessings. I really need to get some sleep. Love ya. Please pass on my love.

Tuesday 12/16/14 The Big Trip 7
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Glory and praise to You this day, dear Lord for watching over Dolores and taking care of her and sending her back home here on earth. Thanks for hearing the prayers and healing her. I am so excited about this, Lord. Please keep Your hand upon her and also David as he is to be coming home also. Help Joanne take care of him. Thanks for all the help You have sent us. Oh, how I love You, Jesus, and it is still growing, yes, my love for You is growing more and more. Please help me now with the message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, we have witnessed a miracle, a healing by God. Dolores was told today after a lot of testing that they could find no reason for what happened, nor how could they provide a fix. Those of us who know her well know that she put out everything she had getting ready for this big event and in all she does daily. She had it lined up so wonderfully, her part of the event, that I truly believe God just rested her down. Also showing me it is also time to not push as hard. I want to thank all of you who took time to pray, for heaven was surely stormed. God heard our cries and gave her more time here with us. I am thrilled.
With that said, I must tell you that while she was gone, I had to call the plumber. It seems my toilet was broken. It was so strange, each time my backside hit the toilet seat, the phone would ring. Moving on. Time to get back to the message. Let's see, where did we park old 36?
Tuesday: December 16, 2014: The Big Trip: (Day Seven)
Yesterday we left our bus parked in front of Joseph's home. And I do want to point out the Bible called it home, and as I have said, it is a house until you invite in the Lord, then it is a home. I also asked the question, who was Jesus before He was born to Mary? I received one answer that was correct, but not the wording I was looking for.
Genesis 1:26 - Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (NIV)
There were Three involved in creation. I refer to the word "US" and "THEM" that I have highlighted. So we can look at all of this and know that ALL THREE were around before there was anything. What I was looking for was God The Father, God The Son (Jesus), and God The Holy Spirit.
John 1:5 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In Him was Life, and that Life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. (NIV)
The answer sent to me by "Leslie" as the "Word," which is also correct for indeed it spells that out. It also talks about the Life. "In Him was Life." It also mentions "Light of men." But wait, you are saying, this does not prove that Jesus was around from the start. Maybe this will show you.
John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (NIV)
Now do you see it? In the beginning was the Word ---- then The Word became Flesh. Then He made His dwelling among us. When did the Word become Flesh? At that very first Christmas. Joseph was told by the angel Gabriel to name the Baby, Jesus. And we are going to see this come to light more and more as we move forward on our Journey. We know because we do have the Bible for events after Christmas, so we have the advantage to know that Jesus did walk among us. Confirming He made His dwelling here. I do hope that you all understand that Jesus was NEVER THE ANGEL MICHAEL, as some religions, meaning their leaders, tell their flocks. But if that is not enough, let me give you one more little bit of proof.
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7 If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him." (NIV)
This should tie it together really well. In the words of Jesus, He first tells them, meaning us, that we need to go through Jesus to get to the Father, His Father, Our Heavenly Father. Then He tells them/us, if you/we "REALLY KNEW ME" you would know My Father. Okay, meaning what if we really knew Jesus or if we really know Him today, meaning us, then we will know the Father. Then Jesus said, from now on you know Him and have seen Him. You need Jesus in your heart to fully grasp this.
So there you have it. Jesus, The Son, was around from the beginning, and He was sent down to give us Light, and Life. Wow, we never moved the bus today. Tomorrow we will move it some.
Here is my question. Three other names for Jesus have just shown up. Can you see them in the one verse I used today?
Now go forth and share your blessings, and yes, my spell checker is working again. Love ya. Please pass on my love to others.

Monday 12/15/14 The Big Trip 6
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thank You for watching over Dolores and taking care of her. Thank You for watching over Dave and taking care of him. Lord, thanks for all the help You sent to us this past Saturday and thanks for guiding them, and for helping all of us serve the needy. Lord, my mind is scrambled some right now. Help me with the message and to get the things in the right order. I need You, Lord, daily I need You. Help me with the message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: Before I start up old 36 and travel on, I want to update you on Dolores. Most of you know by now that on Saturday at 4:00 AM I could not wake Dolores to get ready for our food distribution. I called 911 and our WONDERFUL Silver Spring Twp. Ambulance was on our driveway within five minutes. She was taken to the new West Shore Hospital, where she was admitted and still remains. She started waking up late on Saturday. She was much better on Sunday and permitted to be out of bed and eating. At midnight Sunday she called me. She could not sleep, her BP was over 190 and they were working to bring it down. Early this morning she called and sounded pretty good. I was not in today as she was going to be tested for different things. Thanks for your prayers.
The food pantry distribution went perfectly with lots of helpers doing the work and sitting in for Dolores. Our daughter Danelle went to the ER and took my place so I could stay at home due to all those coming in. When she had to leave, daughter Leanne came with two of our granddaughters. Son Glenn also came in to be with Dolores.
With that said, I want to get to the message but my spell checker is Dolores, so my spelling might be back to my old ways.
Monday: December 15, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Six)
I did not give you the answer to my question. Out of all the angels, thousands of angels, only two were named in the Bible. Who were they? Gabriel, as we have seen here, the messenger. The other was Michael (Daniel 10:13,3, Jude 9, Revelation 12:7). My source, my NIV Study Bible, footnotes. One person mentioned Lucifer, but he worked for the devil.
Matthew 1:18 -This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. 20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins." (NIV)
Let's pull our big yellow bus 368 to the front of Joseph's home and watch what is going on here. I went to the book of Matthew today to show how the angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream. I would think the angel Gabriel also was the one making this announcement, although he is not named. What I want to look at here is how when Joseph woke he carried out what the angel told him. He had faith, brothers and sisters. Mary was pledged to Joseph. Today people get engaged. The scripture also talks again about the Holy Spirit being the one responsible for Mary being in the "motherly way." I wonder how we would handle what Joseph went through. Pledged to be married. There was to be no sexual relations during a Jewish betrothal period. And brothers and sisters, there really should not be any during an engagement period now!! Moving on!! In verse 19 it refers to Joseph as being righteous, and that meant he would really be good at keeping the Jewish laws. So Joseph thought about not being with her until the angel talked to him in the dream. Joseph was told by the angel "do not be afraid to take Mary home."
Also please note in this scripture that Joseph was told to name his new Son Jesus and was even told why. He was told that Mary would give birth to a Son and you should name Him Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.
I want you to think about this as we let this bug parked for the night. This unborn child is going to be born to save all of us from our sins, including His very own mother and earthly father.
Now a couple of questions for tomorrow.
What was Joseph's earthly occupation?
Now this is not a trick question. Before Jesus was born, before He came to earth, WHO WAS HE?
Just talked with Dolores, and she said thanks for your prayers and asks you to keep praying. Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please share my love with others.

Saturday 12/13/14 Prayers for Dolores
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for all the help You sent us today at the food pantry. I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Please, dear Lord, touch and heal Dolores and please send her back home to me. All glory and honor to You for all things, Lord. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters. I want to update all of you on this final day of our food pantry operation. Dolores and I planned to get up about 4:00 AM to get ourselves ready and get our animals ready to be closed up for the morning. When I went into the kitchen and turned on the coffee, I called to her. "Hey, Sgt., time to get up." I did not hear anything. After a few more tries I went into her room and found her so sound asleep I could not wake her. I knew she was in trouble so I started to get the dogs into pens for I knew that I would need to make that 911 call and once I made it the ambulance would be here in five minutes. Long story shortened up, I got the animals gathered up and Dolores was loaded out and taken to the new West Shore Hospital. A call to daughter Danelle and she went to the hospital to be with Dolores and she worked the family end for me as we had 67 families scheduled to come pick up food. Then the call to our movers and shakers to let them know what happened.
When you put God in charge, things go very smoothly, and the food pantry work went great, a good crew working together without Dolores and me not too well because my mind was many places.
Now I ask all of you to pray and pray for Dolores. She is now awake and much improved. I thought God was calling her home this morning. She has been admitted to the hospital and she is very, very tired.
Brothers and sisters, she is in room 410 at the West Shore Hospital, and please, NO VISITORS except family until I tell you it is okay.
If you need information, you may call me and I will update you. Please go forth now sharing your blessings, and please fall in deep love with Jesus. Love ya, and please pass on my love to others.

Friday 12/12/14 The Big Trip 5
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for all You do for us. Thanks for covering sins with the Blood of Your Son Jesus. I love You, I love Jesus, and I love The Holy Spirit. Please help me to do a better job of teaching others the message. Please, Lord, be with Dave Fortney. Help him learn things all over again. Be with Joanne as she walks with her spouse and may You bring peace and comfort to them both. Lord, please be with all those coming to Your food pantry that we operate for You and keep them safe. Protect all our crew and all the guests coming for food. Thanks again for all You do and in advance for the good weather for tomorrow. Now if You would, please help me with the message and the delivery of that message. Please, Lord, protect Christians around the world. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, I want to do something just a tad differently today, so I am going to call it "Side Trip Friday" for just this one week. Oh, did you notice that tomorrow, our distribution day, is "12/13/14?" Anyway, helpers to be here by 8:30 AM, and I never know who is coming, we have just over the years "walked it out in faith." So let me get right to the message and see where bus 36 goes today.
Side Trip Friday: December 12, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Five)
Mark 8:34 - Then He called the crowd to Him along with His disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, He must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me and for the Gospel will save it." (NIV)
As we start up 36 today we are going to pull it ahead to yesterday and today. We are going to park and think about this. In the news this morning I heard (Fox Cable News) four CHILDREN, all 15 or under, were BEHEADED BY "ISIS." Why were the children beheaded? They were asked to deny Jesus and become Muslims and they WOULD NOT DENY CHRIST so they were beheaded.
The Bible is very clear that to get into Heaven we must believe in Jesus and we must even deny him/her self. We must follow Jesus and to follow Him it means we put aside things of the world. In our scripture Jesus tells us we must follow Him. To lay down our lives on earth to live forever with Jesus in heaven. Not all will need to make a choice as those children did. On this side trip, I want to ask you a few questions.
First: If you were confronted by a member of ISIS or any other person and asked you to deny as your Savior, would you deny Him? Only you can answer that.
Second: If you were hauled into court because you are a Christian, arrested for following Jesus, would they find enough evidence to convict you?
You think things like those beheadings only happen in other countries, then think again, it will be "Coming to America." In fact, if if my memory serves me, it has happened here in America, I just can't find that right now. As a Christian, a true follower of Jesus, we must build on our relationship with Him by repenting of our sins, and I mean truly repenting. We also need to trust and believe and walk with our Lord Jesus daily.
I need to close now and get ready for tomorrow. Please excuse me if I am a little scrambled today. My mind is really thinking about tomorrow.
So let me close today with a sinner's prayer, asking you if you are saved, and if so, maybe just renew with Jesus now. If you are not saved and are praying this for the first time, please email me and let me know and I will help support you through this new life for you will change. Remember, I cannot pray this one for you.
Dear Father in Heaven: I confess this day I am a sinner. I ask you this day to wash me white as snow. I believe Jesus died for my sins and was risen from the dead and I confess it with my mouth and believe it in my heart. Please, Lord, write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' Name, I ask this and pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love.

Thursday 12/11/14 The Big Trip 4
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for blessing our home this day and thanks for loving all of us. I love You also, Lord, I really do. Please keep us strong and working for You as we go with our final plans for the food distribution this Saturday. Lord, please bring us helpers and prayer warriors for the day. Lord, please help me with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, some had snow and some did not. To this day when the weather folks call for snow I am up all night looking out the window. Then I watch the school delays and closings. Once you worked for a school district in school transportation as long as I did, well, my mind just never leaves that driver's seat on those bad days. Keep those kids safe, drivers. Those kids are not eggs. You cannot go back for another dozen if you break any of these. Time to get to the message today. I will get old 36 running to get it warmed up.
Thursday: December 11, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Four)
The answer to yesterday's question: Did God The Father ever keep a secret from His Son? The answer is yes, one time for sure. The proof comes from the Bible and not my word but in the words of Jesus.
Mark 13:32 - "No one knows the day or hour, not even the angels in Heaven, nor THE SON, but only The Father." (NIV)
Okay, the bus is warmed up and we are ready to go. Somebody in the back check, I must back up, we are turning around for a bit.
Luke 1:13 - "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John."
Luke 1:18 - Zechariah asked the angel, "How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years." The angel answered, "I am Gabriel, I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. 20 And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time. (NIV)
I wanted to just look back after seeing how Mary handled the question from Gabriel that was sent from God. Remember Mary said: "I am the Lord's servant. May it be to me as you have said." Mary was blessed. So we look back and we know that Zechariah was in the temple at the time when the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said the following: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John."
Do not be afraid was said to Mary also. But after Zechariah heard the angel, he questioned the angel Gabriel, who was dispatched by God. He was told by Gabriel that he stands in the presence of God, or he was working for God. The news to Zechariah was good news, for he was about to be a father, but he questioned what God was about to do. And for that he was punished right on the spot, he could not talk, he was silenced. Now ladies, please do not tell your husbands to question the authority of God so God will shut him up. Or that could work the other way around.
This surely tells me of the power of prayer, for prayers had been asked for Elizabeth to have a child. Instead of this expectant father being thrilled about having a son, he questioned God's ability. God can do all things, folks, all things. Nothing is impossible with our Lord God. I pray over and over for my leg to heal each day. Will God heal it? I do not know, but I do know and understand this. He surely can if that is in His will for me. So as we put our bus away for today, I ask you this. Have you ever questioned God's ability? Be careful on that one, be careful. Did you ever stop and think about this power of God? Time to stop for today. Question for next time. Out of the Thousands of Angels in Heaven, according to the Bible, how many have been named?
Now go forth and share your blessings. Tomorrow we might take a side trip. Love ya. Please pass on my love to others.

Wednesday 12/10/14 The Big Trip 3
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for another day of life. I love You. Thanks for dying to save me from myself, for indeed my sins are my sins. Thanks for opening a new door to post the messages. Please, Lord, heal David, and we give thanks for how far he has come. Please watch over Pastor Larry and also Larry Ford as he travels into Glenvale Church for a concert. Lord, please send us good weather for Saturday's food distribution. All honor and glory for all things good to You this day, dear Lord. Lord, please be with Barb Paulus and heal those open wounds. Help Patsy as she witnesses to others from her room in the retirement home. Lord, it is again Salvation Wednesday, Lord, and we need Your help in opening doors so we can bring the lost to Your feet to be saved. Lord, please help me with the message and also to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, I am now posting the writings to Facebook via Central Dauphin Bus Drivers Facebook. CD bus drivers, welcome aboard Bus 36. Drivers, besides Dave, who else drove this bus? Was that once Vivian's in Colonial Crest? Anyway, thanks for coming on board. If you have questions or prayer requests, please send them to icarrythelight4God@msn.com.
Remember it is Wednesday and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line and the day we work extra hard to get the Good News about Jesus to the lost. Remember we are God's workers. We cannot save a soul, only Jesus, but we are needed to lead them in. Now onto the message.
Salvation Wednesday, December 10, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Three)
Luke 1:36 - "Even Elizabeth, your relative, is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God." 38 "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her. (NIV)
Okay, we fire off old 36 and get it ready to move to another place. As the bus is warming and the air is coming up for the brakes, we see Gabriel was finishing up his talk with Mary. He was telling her that Elizabeth was with child. Remember, Elizabeth is going to be the mother of John (John the Baptist). The Bible refers to Elizabeth and Mary being related. My Bible footnotes tell me that the relationship is not known, could be cousins, or Elizabeth might be Mary's aunt. This brings out to me that John and Jesus are related in some way. Just a minor detail for now.
Yesterday I closed with a couple of questions. One, how would Mary answer Gabriel and we see her answer in verse 38. "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." We do not need to be a Mary to have that same answer. When God asks us to do something, we need to answer the same way. "I am the Lord's servant." When you pray and God gives you the answer, do you listen and follow Him? Or do you just say something like that is not what I wanted so I am not going to work for God? We need to answer like Mary. "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said."
Okay, the angel left Mary and Mary is heading out. Let's follow her. Hold on now, we are on the move. Mary is heading to see her relative Elizabeth.
Luke 1:39 - At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah's home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. (NIV)
Okay, brothers and sisters, we are going to park old 36 here for awhile and see what is going on. Okay, I will turn the heat down!! Shhh!! Let's watch.
As soon as old Gabriel left, Mary hustled to the home of Zechariah and Elizabeth. I find it very interesting that the Bible refers to Zechariah as the homeowner, so to speak. I wanted to bring this out but more importantly it did say Zechariah's home, not Zechariah's house. Do you folks know the difference? Here is my opinion on this. You can have your entire family living in a building, a house. It becomes a home only when you invite Jesus Christ in to head it up. My opinion, what is yours on that one? Do you reside in a house or a home?
Now let's look at verse 41 again. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. The BABY LEAPED IN HER WOMB. Okay, here I go again, yes, it is a baby in there, a child, a living person, and the baby leaped. And day after day after day here in America and all around the world these babies are being MURDERED by a doctor doing an abortion. How many future presidents have been "dumped?" How many doctors, nurses, computer operators, home builders, and others have been "flushed" on this killing of the unborn children? How much longer will God The Father put up with this until He sends Jesus back?
The Bible also tells us that with that news Elizabeth became filled with the Holy Spirit, or as I also refer to this as the Holy Ghost. So as we close out for today, I do have a question or two for you. But before I get to that, my statement yesterday about could God cause another woman to give birth as He did with Mary. Yes, and that answer would be located in Luke 1:37. "For nothing is impossible with God." But with that said, I do not think it would be done, but if He would decide to do that, it would need to be a girl, for Jesus is His Only Son (John 3:16).
Now this question. Would God hold a secret from His Son? Think about it, your answer is on this page!!
Where will our bus be heading tomorrow? I do not know for God has not given me that as of now. Please go forth now and share your blessings. Love ya, and please pass on my love to others.

Tuesday 12/9/14 The Big Trip 2
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please start me out fresh this day by cleaning my mind to work for You. Thanks for yesterday and all the blessings that we received yesterday. Thanks for all You do for us, and thanks for clearing the computer. I love how You can work on things of today, I just love it. You are so perfect and all honor and glory to you for all things. Please help me on with the Big Trip and keep me on track so I can write and get the message dispatched. Please also if in Your will for me, help me to write a book about all the daily messages. Help me with this message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, we are so very, very blessed. Yesterday we were invited back to the Bridges for their Christmas dinner, and what a dinner. Wow, it was just great.
For those who keep supporting the ministry, we give thanks and praise. Please remember that this Saturday is Distribution Day. We are asking for helpers to arrive by 8:30 AM. Guests are scheduled for 9:30 AM, but if like other years, the driveway will be lining up beforehand. If they all come, we will have 67 families in a 2.5 hour period. Please dress warmly, and we really need PRAYER WARRIORS, people who will go from car to car and pray with folks, and people who are not afraid to ask, "are you saved, Born Again?" Remember, our mission is to feed both the Body and the Soul, and the Soul is the most important. Remember our Food Pantry is NOT closing, but is going to a different way to distribute food. This will be the final time "guests" will come to our home to pick up food. Now let's get on to the Big Trip.
Tuesday: December 9, 2014: The Big Trip (Day Two)
Romans 3:21 - But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for ALL HAVE SINNED and fall short of the glory of God. (NIV)
Okay, wake up, I am firing up that bus motor and old 36 is warming up, still parked at the same location. Yesterday I closed by asking you a question. Do you think Mary, The Blessed Virgin Mary, had ever sinned? Remember that God found favor with Mary. We 100% know and understand she was a virgin because our Bible tells us that, and remember, I use the Bible as my guide. If I use another book, I will state that at the time. But I will check it out in scripture. Speaking of that, you should also check on me, so please get out your Bibles. Okay, did Mary sin? My answer? Yes. And if you go to Romans 3:23 which is written above it tells us "ALL HAVE SINNED."
This is not a put-down on the dear mother of Jesus, not at all, just showing you where I come up with what I am writing. Let's get back to Mary now.
Luke 1:32 - He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; His kingdom will NEVER END. 34 "How will this be" Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" 35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God." (NIV)
I pray that so far you are enjoying the trip. Let's look at a few things now. Mary is being told by Gabriel that her son will be GREAT and be called The Son of the Most High. So let's look at this, we find h ere another name for God The Father. He is referred to as the "Most High." Which sets God The Father above Jesus. This scripture also talks about the Lord God will give Him, meaning Jesus, the throne of His father David. Now how can that be? God The Father in Heaven is His Father and Joseph, we know, will be His earthly father. So now we have David being referred to as His father also. That we will work on tomorrow.
I do want to bring this out today. Mary asked Gabriel how all this can happen since she is a virgin. So Gabriel explained to her how the Holy Spirit will come over her. This is the second time so far we have brought up the Holy Spirit, or the Holy Ghost. Remember that John The Baptist will be filled with the Holy Ghost right from birth. Here we find that Mary is going to be touched by The Holy Ghost. I want you to know that when we talked about the "Big Three" which I have called The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost is also a person. This is the same Holy Spirit that we put on board in our hearts when we become Born Again. Okay, so tomorrow we are going to look and see how Mary answered Gabriel. So now put yourself in those shoes of Mary again and ask yourself, how would you answer this?
Here is another question for you. What would you say if you had a daughter who came to you and said she was going to have a child and she is a virgin? Don't get ahead of me on this one. I would say, right, and would say that only happened once. But could it ever happen again? I do not know the answer to that, but I am sure of one thing. If God wanted it to happen, it would happen.
Okay, hold tight until tomorrow, lean back on those really hard bus seats and relax, and pray while you are at it for school bus drivers on these winter roads.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love to others.

Monday 12/8/14 The Big Trip 1
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. All glory and honor to You, dear Lord. As I get started on this series, I ask for Your help daily to bring this story out so all who read it will know and understand it better than they do now. This would also include me. Thanks, dear Lord, and also please help me to get it dispatched. I also need Your help with my computers as they are under attack again. Please block Satan and his evil forces from this machine. Also, Lord, please bring calm to the streets in the United States and protect our police officers. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, God willing I will be writing now to Christmas about the events leading up to Christmas and then beyond. I have written like this before, but I do not have past copies so it will be a fresh look. Over the years I travel along on this journey and have invited you to go with me. One year we went by motor coach, one year we went by motorcycle, one year I did it from the eyes of a donkey. I called myself Mr. Don Key. So what will it be this year? You know, I was not sure until right this minute, but God just gave me my vehicle right now. So if we are ready, I invite you to climb on board School Bus number 36 and travel with me for awhile. Why school bus number 36? This in memory of my dear friend David Cernugel, who went home to be with the Lord this past year. David drove bus number 36 for Central Dauphin School District and I had the privilege of being his supervisor for awhile. This is a big bus, and if three sit in a seat we can get 84 on board with me. For this ride, of course, we can put all of you inside. So welcome aboard, let's get started.
Monday: December 8, 2014: The Big Trip (Day One)
Luke 1:26 - In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, I want to encourage you to follow along in your Bibles, and in most cases I will be using my NIV Study Bible and be working from the book of Luke.
As we pull bus 36 up on our fist stop, we find the Angel Gabriel talking to the Virgin Mary. Now this happened when Elizabeth was in her sixth month of pregnancy carrying "John," who we came to know as "John the Baptist." While we are parked here I want to take time to tell you that when the Angel of the Lord appeared to Zechariah, Elizabeth's husband, he was told this.
Luke 1:14 - He will be a joy and a delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is NEVER to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth. (NIV)
I wanted to bring this out to show you that right from the start John was going to be filled with the Holy Ghost and also that he should be raised to never take wine or other booze (my term) that can cause one to be drunk. I also want to point out that John is older than Jesus by six months.
Okay, let's go back to Gabriel appearing to Mary. Now picture this, you are standing there, you are a young girl, when this angel appears to you and says "Greetings." How high would you jump? I mean you are scared, right? Then the angel says, "You are highly favored! The Lord is with you." What are you thinking? How would you act? What would you be thinking?
Luke 1:29 - Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of a greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a Son and you are to give Him the name Jesus. (NIV)
So we see the angel telling her not to be afraid. And also that God has found favor with her. As we sit here in our bus, let me run the engine and put the heat on a tad. Let's talk about this. Put yourself in the shoes of Mary right now. "Do not be afraid." I think this would have scared me a lot. Would you have been afraid? Here is the question I want you to think about until tomorrow. If God were to come right now, could He find favor in you? Had Mary, the Blessed Virgin Mary, ever sinned? What would your answer be to that? Did Mary sin? You might be surprised at my answer, but for now, just relax in the bus, or stretch your legs as this is where we are parking our ride for now.
Now go forth and share your blessings. And please pray and really pray hard for peace here on our streets in America. Pray for our police for the pot is being stirred and I fear for the lives of our police officers. Okay, I love ya. Please pass on my love to others.

Sunday 12/7/14 Pearl Harbor Day
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for dying for my personal freedom, and Lord, I want to ask You to bless our veterans of all wars and their families on this day, December 7th, 2014, just 73 years past when our Navy Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, was bombed. Thank You for all the brave men and women over the years who have fought and either died or were willing to die for the United States of America. Lord, I pray today that our nation would come back to You before it is too late. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
1 Corinthians 15:50 - Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For the perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY. O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, on this very special Sunday, we look back 73 years on what was a Sunday morning, December 7, 1941, when the Japanese bombed our military base at Pearl Harbor. I do not remember the number that were killed that day, but the youngest in the Navy was a sailor just 14 years of age. One of the ships that was sunk was the USS Arizona which to this day is still underwater. I do not know all the numbers, I was but 7 months old when this event happened. I do know this, the event changed the world, not just the United States of America, but the world, and it was the start of World War Two for America. I bring this up today so that people will not just remember the event, but I want you to really think about this.
I have been to military services, and I have even pastored military services. I have been graveside when those guns were fired and then the trumpet sounded taps and then afterward the body would be lowered into the ground. I want you to think about this. According to the scripture, and I have written it out for you, the trumpet of the Lord will sound and the dead in Christ will rise. Not just the graves in our cemeteries will open up, but also those lost at sea and the DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE. Then after that those remaining who are alive in Christ will be called up, all happening in the twinkle of an eye.
Think about this, brothers and sisters. You are in Hawaii and looking at the USS Arizona when God The Father tells Jesus His Son and our Savior, enough is enough, go back and get Your bride, yes, His bride, the church of Jesus Christ, those who loved Him and those who love Him now. Think of the ships cargo of about 1,400 sailors coming up out of the water, and if you are watching and see the whole thing, YOU MISSED THE CALL. Remember this is going to happen in the twinkling of an eye. Are you ready today if that would happen? This is not a joke, this is from the Bible and it will happen. When? I don't know, nor do you, nor does Jesus. At this point only God The Father. Please make sure to share this with your family, it could be a life-saving event. THERE ARE NO DO-OVERS IN THIS!!!
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please share my love with others.
