Dear Heavenly Father:  Thank You so much for another great and wonderful day.  Thanks for the printer that You sent us last evening and for the food that arrived.  Thanks for the rains of today and for the storms that passed by without damage.  Please, dear Lord, be with the Saylor family, and Lord, be with Eleanor as she rehabs.  Lord, be with Patsy and also Burt.  Be with both Barbara's.  Thanks for watching over families.  I pray today for Curtis and ask Your hand upon this little one.  Lord, please help the young girl from Palmyra be found safe, as Lord, she has been gone one year today.  Oh, please, Lord, help this family.  Lord, thanks for hearing our prayers and seeing that our president has not shot off missiles at other countries.  Lord, again I pray for our president and I pray for his soul and I pray this nation strikes down abortion.  Help this country to rise up and bring up our moral standards.  Now, Lord, if You will please guide my ind and hands as I work for You this evening on a message, I sure would appreciate it, and then please dispatch it for me.  Oh, Lord, and help me learn this computer.  All  honor and glory to You, Dear Jesus, and may we honor You by living a life for You.   In Jesus' name, I pray.  Amen.

Good evening, my dear brothers and sisters.  I am so blessed, so very blessed.  I am sorry that I am late today again, however, it was a good thing today.  Jeff, our son-in-law who owns Mummert Plumbing, was here today working on some repairs in the food pantry.  We had some work done just a few years ago when we put new shelving in our  food pantry, and what the contractor did at the time was done wrong (some dryer venting in the ceiling) and it all had to be taken out and done over.  That is now corrected!!  Also, I must share this, as you know I have been having computer problems and then printer problems, and while we had purchased a new computer, we still had printer problems.  Last evening, Bill and Joni showed up at our home with food for the food pantry and a brand new printer for the ministry.  I am excited about getting it out of the box and getting it up and running.  I did not get to that today because of the other work going on.  Maybe tonight yet.  I need to share this with you.  As you know, we love dogs, and the largest of our dogs, a big Yorkshire, was really dragging today.  I called our vet and told her what the problems were and she instructed me to give him one spoonful of gasoline.  I questioned that, for I had never heard of it, and she assured me that it was okay.  So I gave the dog the gasoline and he perked right up, ran around the house time and time again and then just fell over.  Dolores asked me, did he just die?  No, no, I said, he just ran out of gas!!  Okay, I need to get to the message.

Matthew 11:27 - "All things have been committed to me by my Father.  No one knows the Son except the Father and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses  to reveal Him.  28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, once again I feel that God is giving me a message that points right back at me because I have been so tired and weary lately.  Also, all last week I hammered on Moral Authority and all about how this country is, and now this week God has me working on the good  stuff, and what all He will do for us, if we truly, truly love Him.  Monday/Tuesday it was about Peace in Turmoil, yesterday it was all about Salvation, and today about rest.

Over the years, I am sure we all have become weary over different things, and the Bible tells us we are to cast our burdens to the Lord.  We are not to worry, but to me that might be the very hardest thing to do.  I know in the past I have taken my burdens, my worries, my troubles, to the altar at church and gave them over to the Lord.  I have prayed about it, I was on my knees, and I handed it all over to the Lord.  Then I got up off my knees and picked up all those worries and burdens and carried them back to my seat and then out the door with me.  I mean, this is hard to do.  WE worry about our children and for you who have children who are still in school, if you think the cares and worries stop when they get out on their own, no,  no, folks, you get more and more concerned, for we all want to see all of our children and grandchildren do better than we did.  Am I right on this one?  But truly, our Lord Jesus does want to help us, and we do need to cast our burdens upon Him and indeed if we do that He will give us peace of mind.  Over the years on this prayer line we have prayed for many of our children, our kids, some we would not reveal the names by request of parents, others the names were posted.

We try not to worry, but we do have concerns and they run deep.  This week you might join us as we pray for Dino and Leann.  Leann is our daughter, and she is at bike week at the shore, and yes, she rides her own Harley.  The Bible does give us instructions, and we should have peace in that.  In the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, Jesus is telling us to come to Him.  Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, Jesus tells us, and then He states I will give you rest.  And brothers and sisters, it is not just rest for the body, it is also for the soul.  Jesus tells us that His burden is light.  Gosh, for all the burdens that I lay on Him, I would think it would be heavy, but Jesus carried/carries the sins of the world, not just mine.  He carries yours also, and He wants to carry them all.  Maybe tonight, whatever night it might be after you read this message, try laying in your bed and just turning everything on your mind over to Him, and let's see if it is easier to fall asleep.  Will you try that with me, dear brothers and sisters?  Let's take a minute right now and give Jesus our burdens and cares, and then let's try hard not to pick them back up.  And please, do it again and again and really before you go to sleep each night.

Dear Father in Heaven:  Forgive us of our sins, forgive me of my sins, and here they are, Lord, my burdens, my cares, and my load.  Please carry it for me.  Please and thank You.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings with others, and know I love you and you can pass that on.  Love ya.

Pastor Dan
