Friday 9/27/13 Love (5)

Dear Father in Heaven:  Thanks for another great day.  I love You so much, Dear Father.  Thanks for the messages about Love, and thanks for teaching us through Jesus how to love.  Please, Dear Father, please forgive me of my sins.  Thanks,Jesus, for going to the cross for me so that my life can be completed by Your Love for me and others.  Dear Father in Heaven, please be with our president and those in Washington, DC, and  help them get their heads together.  Please help them understand that without You our nation will surely fail.  Please be with our veterans and our military troops, Lord, and watch over them.  Also our police and firefighters.  Lord, all these men and women of our police, firefighters, and military are willing to lay down their lives for us.  Bless them, Lord, and protect them, Lord.  Now, Lord, please help me to finish out the series on Love, and may my words come from You this day.  And then after that, please help me to dispatch the message and print it for mailing.  In the Name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, what a great day to be alive in this world, but what a shame to watch what is going on in Washington, DC.  Please pray for those folks to get our country back in touch with God,  or please VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE!!  Did I really say that??  Yes I did!!  Pray, warriors, pray, for them to get their heads together.  Please keep praying for the safety of our leaders, and pray even harder for our military and our police and firefighters.  Pray for pastors, all of them, to get the Bible out and preach from THE WORD, and not try to soft-soap a person's way into heaven.  I have been writing about love all week, and the bottom line is, if you do  not love everyone, YOU do not love GOD.  So come on, you cannot even hate or dislike one person.  You can hate or dislike the lifestyle and the sins, but brothers and sisters, you got to get to loving on everyone.  Look, sounds like I got a jump on the message, let me get to it.

Friday, September 27, 2013, Love (Day Five).

John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."  (NIV)

Did you see on the news today or maybe it was yesterday a man was texting and walked off a subway platform onto the tracks?  Several people jumped onto the tracks and pulled the man to safety.  "No greater love has one than they be willing to lay down their lives for even a stranger."  Now that is my quote, folks.  You remember the Good Samaritan, right?  These folks were willing to lay down their lives to  help someone they did not even know.  Police and firefighters do it daily, and it goes without saying our men and women of our military have always done this.  Do you remember the events of 9/11/2001 when we watched as police and firefighters ran into the towers as others were running out?  Sure you do.  Do you remember those who took down the plane in Somerset, PA, to save others?  Everyday people willing to give their lives for others.

So let me ask all of you today, how far would you go to save or try and save the life of a friend?  Okay, next question, would you go the same distance to save the life of a stranger?  Okay, one more time.  How far would you go to save someone who you do not like at all?  Hold it on that last question, for that is a loaded question indeed.  If you were to think about laying down your life for someone you hated, you better remember that if you really laid it down, you, according to the Word, would not make it into heaven.  For you must love everyone.  So I think if you were willing to lay down your life for that person, then you did not hate them to begin with.  Now the fact that the person whom you might have been willing to lay down your life for does not like you, makes no difference as long as you love them.  However, we need to be teaching that person the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Lord Jesus Christ laid down His life for us, for all of us, and yes, all of us even today, and lots of people hate Him, but He loves them all.  It makes no difference to our Jesus when it comes to loving, our loving Him is not required for Him loving us.  However, it is required if we want to spend the hereafter with Him.  Are you understanding me today?

Love is so important, there is a song, Love Makes the World go Round.  You know that is correct, for God made the world, He made it go round, and He Loves us.  So maybe we should sing it.  God's Love makes the world go round, world go round.  God's love makes the world go round.  Brothers  and sisters, we need to tell others how much we love them and more, so we need to show them how much we love them by our deeds in this world.  Love, God's Greatest Blessing.  SHARE IT!

Dear Father in Heaven, help us to love others and help us to follow the lead of Jesus and show love to others.  Walk with us this day and stand us up when we slip and fall.  Now go with us, Lord.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Go forth and share your blessings, and please share the love of Jesus with others.

Love ya.  Pass it on.  Pastor Dan
