Wednesday 4/3/13 Loneliness

Dear Father in Heaven, what a beautiful day, thanks so much for it, and thanks for taking care of us.  Dear Lord, I want to thank You for answering prayers regarding Helen Thomas, thanks for the no cancer report after her operation.  Praise You, Jesus.  Thanks for all You do, thanks for watching over our family and friends and all the people on this line.  Please anoint me to write for You this day.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Good afternoon, my dear brothers and sisters.  We do have a praise report, Helen Thomas got a GREAT report back from the tests taken after her "female surgery".  NO CANCER ... Praise God, praise God.

At the end of the message today, after my sign-out, I want you to please read about houses that are caving in.  Thanks.  Tomorrow is to be beautiful, thank God in advance for it.  Now off to the message.  About Loneliness.  Are you lonely tonight?  No, I am not singing the song ...

Wednesday 4/3/13 Loneliness:

Isaiah 41:10 - So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  (NIV)

Have you in your life ever been lonely?  You know you do not need to be alone to be lonely.  I know years ago there was a period of time when I was down and I was lonely, and I was lonely even when I was with some others.  I also get very  homesick and at one time it was about three days I could be away from the house but now it is about six or seven hours.  Being homesick is a form of being lonely so I can relate to this. I also see a lot of people at retirement homes, not just where we pastor but also where we sing, and some of the people are very lonely.  Most of the homes have activity people and staff to keep them busy, but still they long to see family.  Maybe some of you can relate to these things.  Maybe you have lost family land you really miss them.  That can be a form of loneliness for those that has happened to.

I would think that a lot of our military people are very lonely, even if they can see the people on the computer screen now as they talk to them.  I would think it would be more so for new recruits and also those in the war zones.

Brothers and sisters, our answer to loneliness is in our Lord Jesus.  You see the scripture from Isaiah about we are not to fear for He is with us.  He tells us not to be dismayed, and that will strengthen us.  Brothers and sisters, when you are lonely, please call upon the Lord.  When you are lonely, get out your Bible and read some scriptures.  One really good scripture to read over and over again when you are lonely is the 23rd Psalm.  I am not going to write that out for you.  As I close out today, please remember this, you are never alone, for God is always with us, always, day and night, night and day, on weekends and  holidays.  He stands ready always to hug and hold us.

Thanks, Father, for being with us always and forever.  I give You the honor and glory.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings, and remember this, when someone is lonely, you can talk with them, if you are lonely also, get together with another person who is lonely and the three of you ... You, the other person, and Jesus ... I love ya.  Pass it on.  Pastor Dan.  Please read on.  Thanks.

This is just an update about house cave-ins that we see around the country, and a lot of cave-ins even in our area.  Most of us do not know what is under our home.  Recently a bedroom caved in with a man in his bed.  The man was never found.  Harrisburg has had many, and we in this area seem to get them regularly.  Hershey/Palmyra area has many.  Homeowner's insurance does NOT cover the loss.  Yesterday I called my daughter Danelle who is my insurance sales person and asked her to check on the cost of this coverage.  Unlike flood insurance, it was not expensive.  In fact, I right away added it to my State Farm policy, and it cost just $41.00 per year.  That is $3.00 change per month.  Think about it, folks ...
