Dear Father in Heaven, I love You and I love Jesus and also I love the Holy Spirit, and Lord, I am trying my best to love each person here on earth even though I hate some of the things they do or stand for. Lord, forgive me, please, when I fail You by sinning and even not following all of Your commands. Lord, help me get better in all things that I do, and Lord, I do not want to do anything anymore that does not point people to You. In other words, dear Father in Heaven, I want to serve You with each breath I have. I need Your help, Lord, to get this done. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Brothers and sisters, I never stop believing that our Lord God still heals, and He still saves, and He, Jesus, is our one and only way to get into heaven. Well, praise the Lord, it is raining a tad here at the Southern Location of the North Pole, and that means I do not need to have Dolores go out and shovel it off the driveway. It is indeed a great morning here at the Claus ranch, and I just need to stop and look around at all the blessings that have been lent to us by God and to share with others. Not long ago I was asked what I would do if I was given a million dollars or won a million dollars. The answer was very easy, I would feed more people and give each one more food and also other dry goods like toilet paper. Today, Monday, and the day we pray for our leaders, our veterans, our military, police and firefighters, and of course all the others who work to keep us safe and healthy. Near the end of last week, the Loganville Fire Department fire chief, Rodney Miller, was run over and killed by a hit and run drunk driver. j Please pray for this fire chief's family and all his brothers and sisters that are firefighters.
God Still Heals: (Day One)
2 Kings 20:1 - In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the Lord says: 'Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.'" 2 Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, 3 "remember, O Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with whole hearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly. 4 Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him: 5 Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.'" On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord. 6 I will add fifteen years to your life. (NIV)
Psalm 6:1 - O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. 2 Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am faint. O Lord, heal me for my bones are in agony. 3 My soul is in anguish, How long, O Lord, how long? (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, over the next few days I will talk about healing and I will point out to you where I find this in the Bible. As you know, I believe all that is in the Bible, from the very beginning to the very end of this wonderful book of books. We will look in the old testament as we are today and we will walk with Jesus as He heals and we will look at the scriptures where He gives us instructions on praying for healing and who should pray with us. There are still people today that believe that the Bible was for then and this is now ... Not so, folks, and this scripture, which I use often, will point it right out to you ...
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)
Yes, and that should be a comfort to all of you for indeed our Lord healed when He walked the earth and I am sure, 100% sure, He is still in the healing business today. We must have faith, and we must pray that it is God's will. Now let's dig into those scriptures that I wrote out for you.
We see in the first part of the scripture that Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the Lord says: 'Put your house in order, because you are going to die.' It seems that the prophet Isaiah was sort of like the middle man between God and Hezekiah. Isaiah was given the word that Hezekiah was going to pass. God gave a warning, get your place in order, get your things together.
About three years ago I received a call from a gentleman whose wife resided at The Bridges in the Garden section. This is a dementia unit and a really good one, I might add. Anyway, the husband called me and said his wife was given just a few days to live and he and his daughters wanted to talk to me about doing the service. A funeral director was contacted. I went to The Bridges and sat bedside with the family. I anointed this wonderful lady with oil and was starting to pray for her and to release her to God as the family requested I do. First, please note that we are in God's hands, but releasing them is a term I use so as a family can get ready for this. Anyway, I anointed her in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and leaned down really near her and could hear this faint singing. She was singing Amazing Grace just as clear as clear could be, word for word. I prayed and prayed and then sang with her. Over and over again, she sang. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, and as I asked God to heal her I could hear Him speak to my heart. "I am not done with her on earth yet." So when done praying, I turned to the family and told them this. I believe God is not done with her here on earth, He is not ready for her yet in heaven. Each week this lady sat in the front row in church with her husband holding her hand, it is so dear and wonderful. Just before she had turned ill and they thought she was going home, I did a remarriage service and they got re-married. Now she resides at another retirement home, but still going to church and doing well according to her husband Bob who just had surgery to have a pig valve put into his heart. He is doing well. Yesterday we did our service in song, and many folks who have dementia sang each song, no book, just sang from memory. Folks, I feel God is working on memories and I do believe that those whose memories start to fail, God in His humble wisdom and love leaves them with the best parts, the good things in their life to remember. Think about that, folks. Folks, God is good, and God still heals, please never give up. I will tell you other examples of healing this week, both from the Bible and also from some that we have prayed for on this line. GOD CAN HEAL YOU OR YOUR FAMILY OR BOTH. HE CAN TAKE AWAY YOUR SINS AND THAT IS A GOOD STARTING PLACE. Heal your heart first. I don't know why God heals one and not the other but we will someday find that out. If we go back to the scripture and look at it some more we find this:
Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, "remember, O Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with whole hearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
We see in this scripture that Hezekiah turned to the wall and prayed to the Lord. I would think just burying his face in the wall and talking to God ... and Hezekiah reminded God that he was a good guy, he lived for God. He told God he was faithful and devoted to God and had done what was good in the eyes of the Lord. And he wept bitterly.
Have you ever laid it out to God in prayer? Have you lived for God? Can you remind God of your good living or are you one who always needs those prayers for forgiveness of your sins? Brothers and sisters, we do need to repent, I believe that is a good way to start when we are asking for healing. So let's take a minute right now and pray to be forgiven. I cannot pray it for you. So in faith, will you please pray with me ...
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins, and Lord, help me to repent. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Dear Lord, now I ask and all on the line ask that You please heal, please, please, heal those young men with Cerebral Palsy and touch them. Straighten out the spine of Dolores and heal her of her pain. Anoint the doctors, dear Lord, that work through Your hands. Lord, please, please, heal our wounded warriors, those coming home from was with many injuries, and Lord, I cry out for healing for my dear wife as her spine is also twisted with scoliosis. Lord, thanks for healing Peggy and Bob Everhard, the lady at The Bridges, and thanks for the support she gets from her husband Bob, and Lord, thanks for the inspiration that comes to me from You, through her. Heal also Burt and Patsy, and Barbara. And Lord, touch my pain also. Again, we direct our prayers through our Lord Jesus, who is the only way to the Father. Amen.
Yes, folks, pray through Jesus for He is the only way to The Father. (John 14:6) And go forth now walking in faith that God will hear all your prayers and remember this, God heals many times in our lives when we are protected from getting sick ... God heals us in advance ... Amen.
Now go forth sharing those blessings. Love ya. Please pass that on.
