Wed/Thur 10/3-4/12 Thy Will

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory FOREVER.  Amen.

Good Evening, dear brother and sisters.  It is a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  Lots of rain today, a lot of it, and we are so blessed as the wells get filled up, the lawns get watered, the creek gets water in it, the springs take on fresh water, and we did not need to shovel any of it ... GOD IS GOOD, AMEN.

Prayers today for Vicki, as her plate is very full.  Prayers for Tom Sansoni about a job.  Prayers for our upcoming election, and yes, this writer votes life, please consider voting life.  Prayers for our president and also for Mitt Romney, and as you pray, please pray God's will to be done.

Wed/Thur 10/3-4/12 Thy Will Be Done!

James 4:13 - Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."  14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.  What is your life?  You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.  15 Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."  16 As it is, you boast and brag.  All such boasting is evil.  17 Anyone then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins!  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, God is giving me this message to tell you that you should not put off until tomorrow what you can do today.  Yes, we do not even know if God will bless us with another tomorrow when it comes to working for Him or anyone else for that matter.  We do plan for our tomorrows, and yet, we just do not know about tomorrow and what His will is for us on that day.  Will we even have a tomorrow?  Or might He call us home even before I finish writing this message?  Might the page go like this ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- but no come back, the page stays blank?  So right now, will you just stop with me, stop with me and pray to be saved, should God decide to call us home today or tonight ...

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us of our sins, help us to repent and help us to come to You full time.  Please, Lord, as we plan ahead, let us do it in respect for What Your will might be for us, help us, dear Lord, help us, save us, dear Lord, save us ... In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now I feel a tad better.  God's will is what we should pray for and also what we should do each day.  Please note, I used the prayer our Lord Jesus taught us to pray.  The prayer we call the Lord's prayer, and you can see where I made it bold that we are praying "Thy will be done."  And yes, once again we find it in our scripture for today, in

James 4:15 - Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."

In just wrapping this up for today, look at

James 4:17 -  Anyone then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins!

So we know if we are not doing what is God's will for us, and we have prayed and know what His will is for us, then we are sinning.  Have you ever in your life looked at sin as just not doing God's will?  Even if it is not a bad thing, even if it is a really good thing, if it is not His will for us, then it is a sin.

Father, forgive us when we sin, and forgive us when we do not follow Your will, for indeed we love You.  In Jesus' Name, we pray.  Amen.
