Wed. 10/31/12 Storms 3

Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for stilling the storms down to a whisper.  Thanks for clearing our area, and we pray that as others clean up from the storm they remember who is in charge of the weather.  You and You alone control the storm, the paths, the beginning and the end of them, and Lord, I for one would not want it any other way.  Lord, comfort those families who lost loved ones, please help all to recover and Lord, as we all recover from the storm, may we all look over our lives and live more and more for You each day.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, Good Morning to all of you from the Southern Location of the North Pole, where on November 2nd, this Friday, we will dedicate Santa's House to the Lord.  Yes, we are going to go forth with this work for God.  The service will be short with some singing and food, bring the kids, a small toy will be given to each with better things to come when they visit Santa nearer to Christmas.  Although we understand Santa and Mrs. C will be here to help.  Please do not eat first, we will have plenty, no cooking that night.  We are going to start the service at 6:00 PM, regardless of weather.  We will  have the door up to the food pantry and we will be eating afterward.  Please try and arrive a little early.  Location, 16 Dewalt Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA.  The road along the creek will be open, the flood waters gone.  There will be heat in the food pantry if needed.  Thanks to all who took the time to say "I am okay."  Trust me when I say I care about you.

Please keep praying for those who are out of their homes, even lost their homes, have no electric, no heat, and no food.  Also for those who have lost loved ones, and of course all those who are working on cleaning up the mess, and to those running the shelters, etc.  Please pray for the linemen, the tree service people, our troops, all of them as we see them spring into action here at home.  Also remember the election, please, keep praying and praying and listening to God for your answer.  Let me get to the message ...

Psalm 107:25 - For He spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves, 26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths, in their peril their courage melted away.  27 They reeled and staggered like drunken men, they were at their wit's end.  28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and He brought them out of their distress.  29 He stilled the storm to a whisper, the waves of the sea were hushed.  30 They were glad when it grew calm, and He guided them to their desired haven.  31 Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, I invite you to dig into your Bible and read Psalm 107, all of it.

Some people say that the Lord does not cause the storms, they say we have an all-loving God who would not do this.  To those I say, please read the account of Noah in the Bible.  Also read the scripture of today.

Psalm 107:25 - For He spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves.

Listen to me, folks, God spoke all creation into being except making Adam and Eve, and I am sure you believe that, so with that said, He surely can speak up a storm now and then.  Big ones like this, and you do remember Katrina a few years back.  Yes, God spoke up that one, even if so many people tried to blame it on President Bush, and I think our Lord is telling us things when He hits selected places.  I mean the gambling  places and all that sex stuff was on Bourbon Street, and they were humbled for awhile, but is is back, look for that area to be hit again and again.  But what about this time, this big wide area?  Let's look at just a few reasons.  Abortions, small children being beaten, a football coach has sex with young boys, New York just approved same sex marriage, or had the defense of marriage act declared unconstitutional in state court and one or two of those other states also up in New England area have approved same sex marriage.  I think God is telling us that we need to all come to Him, or come nearer to Him if we already have Jesus in our hearts.

You might say, but all those people, not all could be bad.  You are correct, but over the years have not warnings been given?  Please read Genesis 19 about Sodom and Gomorrah and how they were destroyed by our Lord.  Warnings were given first.  Even in this storm, warnings were given first, people had time to get out.  However, the warnings I am talking about are found in our Bibles, taught in all GOOD churches, and while I could go through all the warnings, the one we really need to get out with each message is the warning that is really the GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.  Most pastors preach it, but all should, and all we who preach, teach, sing for Him, will be held accountable for what we say, sing, or do.  What we have seen here on the east coast is a ripe harvest field of the Lord being taken out by Him.  Why?  "His will," folks, that is all I can tell you for sure.  This storm, who some called the perfect storm, was angry, and since our Lord caused it, maybe He was angry, upset, upset with all of us.  Folks, we need to do more, we need to get nearer to God, we need to get the word out.  Over the years our government has so many people TRAINED to have government wait on them, they don't go out on their own.  During Katrina, President Bush took the blame for not having the United States Government in to help early on, yet the mayor at the time left the school bus fleet go underwater and the people stood and waited to leave.  Notice was also given on that storm.  Able-bodied people could have walked out before it hit, buses could move people, the warning was not taken.

BROTHERS AND SISTERS, I COULD GO ON AND ON.  Today, let me give all of you this warning given by our Lord Jesus.  TAKE HEART, FOLKS, AND LEARN.  John The Baptist said, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near."  Jesus said, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near."

John 14:1 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me.  2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME BACK and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."  (NIV)

Revelation 22:12 - "Behold, I am coming soon!  My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done."  (NIV)

Dear Father in Heaven, please help us to get Your word out, the Good News of Your return ... Lord, help us to repent, repent, repent, and turn from sin and work for You.  In Jesus' name, I pray.  Amen.

Confess your sins to God, ask Him into your hearts, go to work for Him sharing your blessings and the Good News of Salvation through Jesus ... and this, folks, is the warning Jesus is sending through me ... Here it is ... HE'S COMING BACK, HE'S COMING BACK, HE'S COMING BACK.

I love you, folks, you have been warned.  Pastor Dan.

Tomorrow, the calming of the sea ...

Tuesday 10/30/12 Storms 2

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for bringing us through the storms of yesterday, and thank You that we have power, and thank You for a message this day.  Lord, please be with all those who have lost power, and even their homes.  Be with all those who must go out and work in the storm, be with those linemen and our National Guard units.  Most of all we ask that You be with Your children, and give us peace in the midst of this storm.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters.  We made it through yesterday and the night.  I have still not been outside to check on things.  However, I just know we have been blessed as I have watched the weather and news all day yesterday, and many have lost homes, including the fire in New York that burnt 50, yes, 50, homes.  Folks, we must use our knowledge and wisdom that God gave us.  Yesterday, and this was on the news, yesterday, one of the fire companies in our area had to rescue a lady who fell into one of the flooding creeks.  Why was she in that water?  "She was trying to save a duck."  Please keep praying for all those who must be in the storms and for all those who are away from their homes, lost their homes, lost loved ones.  And please keep praying for the upcoming election.  Again I tell you and ask you to pray about it - As for me and my house, we vote life.  Please be safe.  Now forward to the message ... And please as you get power back, if you are okay, LET ME KNOW.  Just put it in the subject line ... WE ARE OKAY.

Luke 8:22/25 - One day Jesus said to His disciples, "Let's go over to the other side of the lake."  So they got into a boat and set out.  23 As they sailed, He fell asleep.  A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.  24 The disciples went and woke Him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!"  25 "Where is your faith?" He asked His disciples.  In fear and amazement they asked one another "Who is this?  He commands even the winds and water, and they obey him."  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, yesterday I wrote a short message expecting the electric to go off even while I was writing.  I wrote about how God spoke to Job from the storm and how He can and even will speak to you and to me if we just ask Him.  Of course along with Him speaking to us, requires us to listen ...

With that said, yesterday as the storm picked up, I was a mess, yes, I confess I was a mess, I was very concerned about our family, our ministry team, our flock at the Bridges, and yes, our little Danny Boy, our baby goat.  I have been unable to get to the goat house since yesterday morning to check on him and the other goats including our little Crockett ... I walked back and forth, I tried to calm the dogs and cats as they wanted out and I would not let them go out.  Dolores even asked me.  "Why are you afraid today?"  Often I would pray, but still I was a mess.  We talked to our kids, we talked to our ministry team, I checked on our flock, and all was well, still I was a mess.  I prayed  more and more, and then I heard coming from the piano, "Peace in The Midst of the Storm."  God was speaking to me from the storm, through the hands of my wife on the piano.  My blood pressure was up, it came down.  I was calming down.  She did not know at the time that God was speaking to me through her, she was just practicing for using this song on Sunday.  She would play it for awhile and then do something else, and then back to the piano, and the song came again.  You see, when you talk to God, you need to listen for Him, not always does He just speak to your heart directly, often He uses the hands of others.  Am I concerned about those things I mentioned?  Yes.  Am I concerned that we will not be ready for Friday when we dedicate Santa's House to the Lord?

Okay, I was falling asleep as I was typing so I took a break.  I woke from a call from Grant and Wanda checking on us, they are fine, no loss of power.  Our son Keith called, he was on his way to work, he was okay.  At this time, being already dressed for when we have a storm like that, I stay dressed in case we would need to get out, I even had my teeth in!!  I put on a big coat, the rain had let up some and the winds were down, so I went out around the piece of property that God has granted to us to use while we are here on earth.  EVERYTHING IS FINE.  All our animals are fine.  We are safe.

Now we must, we must, turn our concerns to those in New Jersey and New York and all those around us.  We must pray for those folks we have not heard from, that list for me would be long, but we are praying.  We must truly turn to God and know that Jesus is still in control, and like in the boat with His disciples and the storms came up on the lake, Jesus calmed the storm, and folks, as bad as it seems i all these states where the storm hit, you will see more people coming to Jesus.  You watch and see how people pull together.  God is so good, He really is, we just need to have faith, and I, folks, was humbled and reminded yesterday to have more faith, and God humbled me.

God is so good and He indeed is still the same and again I will use that scripture ...

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.  (NIV)

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.  (NIV)

Dear Father in Heaven, we put this storm in Your hands for Your care according to Your will.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Now go forth sharing the love of Jesus and your blessings.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Monday 10/29/12 Storms

Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for taking us through the night, and now, Lord, I ask again that if it is Your will, turn the storm to the ocean, but if You will it to come in, protect Your people.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Good Morning, dear brothers and sisters.  Yes, it is Monday and I am going to try and get this out before the power goes down.  The winds are now on the increase after a calm night in our area.  Please keep me posted on how you are, but remember once the power goes down, I might not get a message out.  We do have a generator, but more it will be used to keep our meat freezers going.  It is Monday and the day we pray for our leaders, veterans, military, police, firefighters, and all those who keep us safe, pray for the river rescue units also, and please, please pray for those first responders.

Job 38:1 - Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm.  He said:  2 "Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge?"  3 "Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me."  (NIV)

Have you been praying a lot about the storm on the East Coast?  I am telling you we have been.  We have been praying that God would turn it to the sea if it is His will, but if not, we HAVE NOT prayed for it to turn to others instead of us.  But as we pray we again need to listen for Him to answer us.  We can see in the scripture above that the Lord answered Job out of the storm.  Now let me put in another scripture just to remind you of something.  I am sure you know what it is.  Sure you do!

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.  (NIV)

So today all of you who are praying for our Lord Jesus to help us through the storm, be sure to listen for Him as He indeed can and will speak to people out of the storm.  I can boldly say this because I have the word of our Lord to hang my writing on.  While my writing today is more about God speaking to us from the storm than what He really said to Job, we might take a quick look at that and look at what we are going through these days.

Jesus said, "Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge?"  You see, God was tired of Job's complaining and raging against Him when it was not justified.  Fast forward to today, folks, how many of our rant and rave against God from time to time and do not have the deep knowledge to understand what God is doing?   We might be going to question the Lord on why this storm is bashing the Northeast with so many lives are on the line.  Could it be that God is upset with us in this area?  Like it or not, brothers and sisters, GOD IS IN CONTROL, and I for one would not want it any other way!  God is so good, and God will take care of us, and He will take care of all of you.  He has over the years taken all of us through many storms, storms of weather, and of course storms of life.  I want to keep this short today so I can get it out before the power goes down.  Let me just leave you with these things today.

Pray for God to take care of you and ask Him what you can do for Him in return.  And if you make a promise to God to get you through the storm, please make good on your promise!!

When you pray, listen for God to talk to you.  God gave you a brain, use it, pray for wisdom in the storm.  Don't wait for the bus, then the fire truck, then the boat, then the chopper, to find yourself at the feet of Jesus after drowning.  We Christians need to help God, not just wait for God to help us.

Someone shout Amen to that one!

Dear Lord, protect Your people, and let we Your people help to protect each other and ourselves.  And Lord, protect the first responders and all others who work the storms, and thanks, Lord, for being there for us, for truly, Lord, you are our Peace in the midst of the storm.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings, and if you live near water, GET TO HIGH GROUND.

Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday 10/26/12 Happy Days 5

Dear Father in Heaven:  We give thanks this day for all things good, for we know You bring to us all things good.  We also praise You for having all things work for good, according to Your will for those who love You.  Lord, it is Salvation Friday on this line, and I give thanks for Jesus going to the cross to save us, to save me.  Please, dear Lord, help us as we work for You bringing in the lost.  I pray for all who are lost and pray that You would help us to bring the lost to Your feet to be saved.  Lord, according to our weather folks, there is a major storm going to hit us direct.  Lord, I pray the storm would go to sea, but if it is Your will it hits this area, I will not pray for it to hit elsewhere, for I, Lord, do not want to push the storm to others as we are all children of Yours.  But I do pray that the damage is slight, the power stays on so that food will not go bad.  Lord, I guess what I am asking is, just protect us.  Lord, bless those heading out to witness for You, keep them safe from those who want to hurt Your people, and there are many.  Lord, please watch over the election and Lord, as for me and my house, we pray for life, so we are praying for the one who supports Your unborn children.  However, Lord, we ask in the name of Jesus that Your will, Your will is done in all things.  And Lord Jesus, I pray for our dear friend's daughter Abigail Bendzin, for her medical problems to be healed by You.  Lord, You know what those problems are, in the name of Jesus, please heal her.  I ask my prayers be sent to the Father through His Son, our Lord Jesus, and I pray in His name.  Amen.

Dear  brothers and sisters, a bad storm is coming this way.  If we lose power, I can't write and send it, so if my messages are not there, just pray we are all right, as we also will pray for you.

Now this special request, ON TUESDAY GET OUT AND VOTE regardless of the weather, YOUR VOTE COUNTS ... Please pray first, and as I said before, as for me and my house, we vote life, and that means we are voting for Mitt Romney, who is also a Christian.  We pray you are safe, so let me get to the message, which I am writing Saturday morning.  I have some moving of things so they do not go down the street.  To the message.

Happy Days 5, 10/26/12.

Romans 14:17/18 - 17 - For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of Righteousness, peace and JOY in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.  (NIV)

Dear brothers and sisters, when I talk about Happy Days, the Happiest Day of your life should have been the day you got saved, and if you truly are saved, you should have more, many more happy days than sad.  Yes, there will be some bumps in the road.  In life we will have bumps as we have free will.  But let me go back to my early days when I got my driver's license and drove on some paved roads and some still dirt.  There were many bumps in the road and my 1950 Ford would take a bump and then ride smooth again.  I guess if we really looked at it, would we really appreciate a good smooth road if there were not a bump in it once in awhile?  Funny now, some places people need to put bumps in the road just to get the attention of drivers to make them slow down.  You have all seen those speed bumps.

I think it is the same in life.  I think if we never had a bad day in our lives we would not appreciate those good days.  If God would let us live a life free of any problems, would we indeed come to Him for anything, including being saved?  Although over my younger years I went to church, I did not know Jesus, meaning I did not lock Him into my heart through the Power of the Holy Spirit.  I truly came fully to God, taking Jesus into my heart at one of the lowest points in my life.  I wonder how many of you might have had that happen to you.  If you never were sick in your life, would you truly give thanks for never being sick?  Would you over the years have come to God?  If you never had a problem, I mean never, would you ever take time to pray, or just say thanks to Jesus for never having a bad day?

With that said, I do believe that God protects us so often from things that would have hurt us.  Think about it, how many times have you driven on the roads having people cut you off but you were not involved in the accident?  How many times has Jesus blocked the flu, how many days have you  had the flu in your life, compared to how many days you did not?  Are you getting my point?  And I do challenge you in life to go forward the very best you can for Jesus, push forward in the name of Jesus and pray each day He will carry you through regardless of your health issues.  God is good, and He WILL STAND WITH YOU, CARRY YOUR BURDENS, AND HELP YOU.  You just need to pray, listen, have faith, and live each day for Jesus and walk in His footsteps, let Him be your light.  Now let's pray about where your heart should be.  I think we could all use a fresher picker upper, a good cleaner from God.  Let's go get a bath from Jesus, it sure is better than Tide soap.

Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for Jesus and for all He has done for us, for me, including saving us, saving me from our sins.  Clean us this day of those stains of just this week, even this day.  Lord, please use we who are saved to help in Your fields of Harvest and help bring in the lost.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Now go forth loving on Jesus, sharing your blessings, and chasing your trash cans down the street ... I just had to say  it  ... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

BE SAFE, BE SAFE ...

Thurs. 10/25/12 Happy Days 4

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for the messages of this day, and Lord, thanks for the day, thanks for family and friends and a great ministry team.  Lord, I pray this day for the message, also for Vicki, for Ruby, Luella, Sterling, Stanley, for Barbara, who has one really bad leg.  For Patsy and Burt, for comfort to the family of Les who has passed away.  For the family of Ted Tosheff who has also passed away.  Lord, thanks again for watching over family and friends and our flock at the Bridges.  Thanks for a great sing-along on Thursday morning, and now, please, Lord, carry me forward with the message of today.  In Jesus' name, I pray.  Amen.

And Dear Lord, please protect Your people from the storm coming up the east coast, please be with those whom we know in the area in South Florida where the storm is about to hit.  Dick and Nicki,  Bobbie, Tom Sansoni.  Please, Lord, consider turning the storm to sea.  Thy will be done, Lord.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, back to some really serious writing today, and I need you to follow the message to the end.  It was a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole, just beautiful, and an update on Danny Boy, he is doing well now, just over three days old.

A big storm coming up the coast, please pray that it turns out to sea and does not come on shore and do heavy damage.  Please pray also for God to protect all people, starting with those little babies, for God really loves the little children, all the children of the world ... red, yellow, black, and white, and all mixes between.  Let me get to the message.

Happy Days 4:  8/25/12.

The following scriptures will be used today, again follow the message to the end please.

Jeremiah 1:5 - "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."  (NIV)

Luke 1:44 - As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.  (NIV)

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.  (NIV)

Setting the background for this ... Recently a pro-life person who is running for a seat in the House made a statement about a rapist and how the rape victim should have the child, and went on to say that God caused the rape.  Stop and follow me on this.  God DID NOT CAUSE THE RAPE, while according to scripture He did know this would happen.  I did say this because of the scripture.

Jeremiah 1:5 - "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."  (NIV)

In my opinion, God could see this was going to happen, He knew but did not stop it this time for God had given free will to all of us, we are not on strings.  I also think that the day is coming and real soon when God will have His fill of it and come back and get we who have been in love with Jesus to take us to where He went.  Others, like the rapist, will also be forgiven for that sin, if indeed they come to Jesus and ask to be forgiven.  I also know that God has stopped things like this over and over and over, but of course we don't hear about many of them.  Once in awhile someone will talk about being ready to commit a crime and they heard the voice of God speaking to their heart which turned them from that crime, whatever the crime might be.  Also, I fully believe that a person who doe the crime, even though they are forgiven by God, still needs to do THEIR FULL TIME IN PRISON!!

Going forth with this statement, and it is NOT hard for me to say that once the child is in the womb the child is a living being.  My example of this comes from ...

Luke 1:44 - As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.  (NIV)

This scripture tells me also we need to let the child live.  Yes, I am pro-life, and while some will say, it is my body and I say what goes on!  WRONG, we are all children of God and we are His sheep, the Sheep of His pasture, and we still belong to God.  Now let me put this in here so you know, if you have had an abortion, that sin will be forgiven if you ask in faith and let Jesus into your heart, but Jesus talks about what happens to us if we harm a little child.  That scripture I will hold for another day.

Now over the years, children have been born to unwed mothers, and some have even raised them on their own.  Some parents in this case were very upset about their daughters "getting into trouble" as we called this while I was in school, back when the streets were dirty.  There is no unwanted child in the eyes of God, and while on today's market it seems to be some people have children to get more dollars from our governments, God's people need to step in and help.  We also need to stop rewarding people for having more children they cannot afford on their own, this would come through education.  I want to point out one more scripture today.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.  (NIV)

While I do not know numbers, I know of people who love those grandchildren that were born after a young girl, raised in church so to speak "got into trouble" and they look back to Romans 8:28.  I have talked with some and told them to hang in, God has His hand on things.

As for government taking care of people, it has gotten way out of hand.  People who need help should be furnished basic help only, food, clothes, and a roof over their heads, not TV's, cell phones, and smokes and drinks.  And folks, pulling together under God, people can feed lots of people ...

Trust me, I know this one for a fact.  Yesterday, we went to a store where mac and cheese was on sale.  We placed an order for one thousand boxes.  Feeding the needy is an outreach of Carry The Light Ministries, and the more people come for food, and the more we help them, the more God has put back on the shelves.  More on this later ...

It is indeed a Happy Day when we first see that young child, it is indeed a Happy Day when working together we can take care of each other.  Working together is what God wants us to do.  You do remember those great commandments, right?  You know the ones, Love God and Love your neighbors.  And your neighborhood is the world ...

Dear Father in Heaven, help us to help others, help us to help people learn that all children belong to You, even those in the womb, regardless of how they got into the womb.  Lord, also teach us, when feeding the bodies of people with food, to feed their minds with Your love, and to try and get them to Your feet to be saved.  We need You, Lord, in all things.  In Jesus' name, I pray.  Amen.

Now go forth, sharing your blessings.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

P.S.  Get ready for the storm and be safe.

Wed. 10/24/12 Happy Days 3

Dear Heavenly Father, thanks for a great day on Wednesday, and thanks for being with us from start to finish.  Thanks for blessing all the events that went on on this very busy day.  All honor and glory to You for taking us through it.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Good Thursday Evening, my dear brothers and sisters, and yes, it does say Wednesday on the top of the page, for I really need to get this message in.  Since we are past Wednesday, I will list the prayer requests in Thursday's writing that will go out after this one, God willing!  Let me get right to the message.

Happy Days 3:  10/24/12

Psalm 33:3 - Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully and shout for joy.  (NIV)

Let me address this in two parts.  Psalm 33 starts with "sing to Him a new song."  While this song might not be new, it does take a few of our readers and also me back in time.  So those who know it, please join us in singing to Him, and remember it is okay to "make a joyful noise."  Ready, hit it!

I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart, down in my heart.
I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart to stay.

I have the peace that passeth understanding down in my heart, down in my heart, down in my heart.
I have the peace that passeth understanding down in my heart, down in my heart to stay.

I have the love of Jesus, love of Jesus, down in my heart, down in my heart, down in my heart.
I have the love of Jesus, love of Jesus, down in my heart, down in my heart to stay!  (Repeat it for more singing fun!)

Thanks to Tom Sansoni for putting that tune into my heart to stay for awhile ...

Now let me get on with the next part of the scripture.  Psalm 33:3 ends like this.  Play skillfully and shout for joy.  Oh my gosh, where do we start with this one?  If you did not read  my message for Tuesday talking about all the blessings of the weekend and about our new kid, you should go back and read that one, and it will talk to you about our dear, dear friends Grant and Wanda Crockett.  As you folks know by now, these folks work hard for Jesus and once in awhile, well, they might "play hard".  Let me fix the set for you, so to speak.

Dolores and I love animals and have eleven dogs, most with special needs, as some are blind, some cannot hear, others walk cross-legged, and so on.  Nine of those dogs are like us, senior citizens.  We also have four cats, one pet chicken, and up until Monday night we had five goats and then Danny Boy was born.  Now we have six, and while some say eight is enough, we have decided that six or maybe seven will be enough.  (Our Sarah might be in the motherly way, we are not sure yet.)  With that said, our billy goat, here after named Johnny, will not be a billy.  Okay, here we go, and get ready to start laughing ...

Dr. Heather came by one Wednesday to do, well, what a great veterinarian does to make the billy into an ex-billy.  Now enter Grant and Wanda, who, by the way, are, well, I never tell ages, but they are a tad past, well, you just need to know they are a tad past ... okay, when Grant had his last birthday we called a fire truck to put out the candles.

Now Johnny had to be caught so that Dr. Heather could give him a shot to make him lie down and be a good billy goat.  Seems Johnny must have heard someone say neuter as in that one dog commercial, for he started to run, and run he did along with Jere, Sarah, and little Crockett.  Janie and Danny Boy were penned up in their half of the goat house.  Now if you have never been in a goat area, well, goats are not like people, they do not use these things that flush, they just put those little round things all over the ground.  Now the fun begins, as those three tried to catch Johnny.  Now while I was in the pen for awhile, I decided that I was not in running shape and got out.  After a lot of chasing, they got Johnny by using an extra fence panel and worked him to the corner where a harness was placed around his neck, over his great big horns.  The three of them got Johnny out of the pen, and now with him caught, Grant looking like a Hulk Hogan, without the chin growth, pinned Johnny to the ground, Wanda held the rope while Dr. Heather shaved off the hair under Johnny's neck and gave him a shot so he would relax.  Grant still had to hold him down some while Dr. Heather set up her field operation table.  Now at this point you need to know that the place took on the look of a surgery hospital while things were cleaned off and then the operation, which I will not talk about, began. After the surgery, and while he was still on the ground in recovery outside the pen, our team of Dr. Heather, Grant and Wanda, went back in the pen to catch the rest of the goats one at a time to give them their meds.  I think they were watching what happened to Johnny and wanted no part of this team.  I watched as Wanda did a slide like a good ball player taking a headfirst dive to home plate, only she was not on dust, she was, well, in the goat pen.  Then Grant was down, then Wanda, and it reminded me of mud wrestling except, well, it was not mud.  I felt bad that I could not be in there with them as it looked like such fun (yeah, right!).  Anyway, after awhile, all was done, and Grant and Wanda went right back to working while I settled with Dr. Heather (a very, very fair price).  Then Dolores, Grant, Wanda, and I sat down to eat, Grant and Wanda outside and Dolores and I inside.  Just kidding about that, we all washed up and sat down to another great meal by Santa.

Folks you can see how I picked this scripture, for indeed while Grant and Wanda played skillfully, while Dolores and I shouted for joy.  Amen.

Folks, God gave us a funny bone so we can laugh and sometimes we just need to lighten up and have a good laugh, sometimes you might even laugh so hard it brings out TEARS OF JOY!  It sure did make my day another HAPPY DAY.  Now in a few minutes I will be back to write again, so let's pray.

Dear Father, thanks again for giving us a way to laugh and a way to spend time with good, dear friends.  Thanks for Dr. Heather and Grant and Wanda. Thanks also for Pam and all others who support the Ministries of Carry The Light.  In the name of Jesus, I give all the honor and glory for all things good, and for giving us a way to laugh in times when some days the news is so bad it is hard to really laugh.  Again, all glory and honor to You.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Now go forth and sing and laugh as you share your blessings that God entrusted to you.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Tuesday 10/23/12 Happy Days 2

Dear Father in Heaven.  Thank You, Thank You, Praise You, Lord, I give You all the glory for our newborn and ask Your blessings upon him.  Lord, You worked all things out so perfectly, and to You all honor and glory.  Please keep watching over Vicki, Ruby, Patsy, Burt, and Barbara.  Again, we give You honor and glory as we give praise and pray in the wonderful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.  Amen.

Good Tuesday and I think it is evening after a long, long couple of days.  Dolores and I have been blessed again with another kid.  This little guy was named after me, he is indeed our "Danny Boy Lehman".  Please read the message today to find out just how God has blessed us.  I will get to the message; it is late.

Psalm 118:15 - Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of righteous:  "The Lord's right hand has done mighty things!"  (NIV)

Happy Days 2:  10/12/20.

It was and is a true Happy Day for Dolores and I as we indeed have a brand new kid and indeed we have named it "Danny Boy Lehman".  As I tell  you how this story unfolds, I do want to tell you that the above scripture will play out.  Truly, "The Lord's right hand has done mighty things!"  Pay attention to this true story that brought forth this Happy Day, here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.

On Sunday after our church service at the Bridges, Dolores and I took a drive to Hershey, PA, where we placed a "donation can" at the side of an antique pickup truck that the museum folks will be filling with food and toys for Carry The Light Ministries.  God's right hand was already on us, and even though the food drive did not start until Monday, the truck already had food and toys in it.  Count the blessings as you go through this, please.  We were going to stop to eat but instead decided as we drove just to come on home and make our lunch.  God's right hand was on our trip as we made it back safe and sound and we had plenty here to eat.  Please keep counting the blessings as we lead up to our new "Danny Boy Lehman."  After eating I took a rest and put on my television to watch a little auto racing.  Yes, I like to watch cars make four left turns.  However, the rest did not last long as I wanted to hook up our truck to our trailer to get ready to deliver food carts on Monday.  So I went out and hooked the two together and all the lights worked from the truck to the trailer, another blessing because the lights on the old, old trailer worked.  Then I looked at the trailer, which was under the trees, and it was just too dirty to be shown doing God's work, so He gave me the strength to wash it, and while I was at it the truck also.  Done at last ... Are you still counting the blessings?  Then I went up and looked over our animals, and yes, and now the truth starts to come forth, our little Janie was looking like she was going to give birth.

I came into the house and put in a call to Grant and Wanda, knowing they were on the road singing and would return my call when they arrived home.  Keep counting blessings, and yes, you may count those of Grant and Wanda for the concert and the safe ride.  Now Grant was planning to come to the Southern Location of the North Pole on Monday and we were going to work on lights needing to be done to finish the work on Santa's House, for the upcoming dedication of the building to the Lord.  When Grant called me back, I told him there was a change of plans and we must work on another building on our lot, one that houses Janie, Johnny, Jere, Sarah, and little Crockett.  And I asked Grant to bring some nails and such.  We said goodnight, and I laid back and talked to God and fell asleep.

Monday morning I rose at 3:00 AM as I wanted to get out the message, clean up the house some, and get ready for the arrival of Grant.  When Grant arrived, he along with Dolores and myself got into the truck pulling the trailer and set out to deliver most of the food carts to places where food would be collected for the food pantry.  Six carts were placed and we headed home.  Are you still counting blessings?  We arrived back safely and Grant and I went to work getting this building ready.  (Grant worked, I carried tools and got in the way.)  Now please keep counting the blessings, as we go forth.  An inside support wall had to be removed but first we built a new wall, these walls go halfway up in the building, and Grant worked very hard, as I held things, and did the best I could not to mess up his great work.  God has truly given the Crocketts a gift of working with wood among other things.  By the way, Wanda was busy taking a friend to the doctor so Grant had to put up with me as a helper, and trust me when I say, my gift is not with a hammer and saw.  Okay, the building is finished and we went and sat down for a lunch of a put-together Santa meal, and folks, that is a gift God gave me.  Keep counting blessings as we give all this glory to God.  Grant left as he had singing practice, and I did some cleanup and came in the house and laid across the bed for an hour.  Then I went out to check on Janie and she was pushing some, so I called our animal veterinarian and alerted her I might need her help.  So I went about getting an extension and a light that would not burn hay.  Hey, I don't want to burn hay.  I came up and when I got near the pen I heard this slight cry.  I went in the building and went into panic mode.  There was our baby kid (now you know) and it was laying on its side and a mess and I thought she had trouble.  I called our vet, she told me to get towels and get into the pen and wipe the baby down and keep it warm and she was on her way.  I did as she said, I got those towels, and headed for the building, Dolores coming after me.  When I arrived, God's right hand was on the baby, mother had it all washed up and we just watched.  Soon our vet arrived and examined them and helped board up the outside door to the pen, so as to keep our little one in.  Dr. Heather picked up our kid, turned it over, and we named it Danny Boy Lehman.  Are you still counting blessings?  What joy, what a happy day when we saw that little one breathe in God's air, although the smell of God's air is altered a tad in the goat house.

Now that ended Monday night, and you are still counting the blessings, right?  Now, Johnny, Jere, Sarah, and Crockett had to spend the night outside as Janie and Danny were shut in the house.  It was not to rain, but folks, weather people only try and guess what God is doing, and it rained.  Tuesday morning, Grant and Wanda came to see Danny Boy and sprang into action and they put in another wall in the building so the others could get in out of the rain.  They had appointments and so did we so we gave each other hugs and Dolores and I headed out to one of her doctors, trailer in tow, and when done at the doctors, we set off the remaining food carts and returned home.  Safe, sound, and tired ...

Oh, by the way, our kid "Danny Boy" was up and walking in forty-five minutes, and his little tail was going like a windmill, as he was eating away.  Now please pray for our little guy, for as you know, the first days are the toughest, and in just a week or so, he will be with the others.  (Unless I can talk Dolores into letting me keep him and his mamma in the house.)  Don't laugh, Sarah and Crockett were both in the house for awhile, however, our food pantry has grown and there is no more room so he must stay in the barn.  (Gosh, where have we heard a story like that?  No room, sent to the barn!)

Gosh, I love our Lord God, and I want to repeat this scripture again ...

Psalm 118:15 - Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of righteous:  "The Lord's right hand has done mighty things!"  (NIV)

Praise be to God, Thanks to You, dear Jesus.

Dear Father in Heaven, we give thanks for Your Son and His right hand being on us all day.  To You all honor and glory in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings as I have just shared with you, just a few, a very few of the last couple days.  Rejoice, it indeed is a HAPPY DAY.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Monday 10/22/12 Happy Days

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for waking me this morning and granting me a restful night.  Thanks for watching over our families, our friends, and all those on this line.  It is true blessings that you give to us each day, may we rejoice in them and love You more and more.  In Jesus' Name.  Amen.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters.  It is a beautiful early morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  Please keep Carry The Light Ministries team in your prayers as we push forward for several big events.  Praise report, we have a pledge of 25 turkeys toward our goal of 100 for our Christmas food distribution.  Also, God has been good to our checkbook also, as we have been receiving donations.  This will be a trying year as you have all watched food prices go up, but when you TRULY trust and have faith in God, we know it will all come together.  Please keep walking in faith.  Please pray for the family of "Lee" who passed away.

Please try and watch the debate tonight, and please pray and listen to God before you vote.

God has talked to me and has pointed out to me, Joy!  Sounds like fun, let's have some "Happy Days."

Happy Days!  10/22/2012.

Happy Days!!  We who are older will look back and see the joy we had in our youth (yes, I can remember that far back).  While it seemed to us to be a more joyful time than today, and back in those days we did not need to lock our doors, but if we did, it did not do much good as one key fit most doors back then.  And then there was the television program called "Happy Days" which by the way I still like to watch the reruns.  While I thought I was cool when I was growing up, I could not have been "The Fonz".  I could not hit things and make them work!  I could not have been Richie as he was a tad smarter than me.  Okay, more than a tad!  Maybe I could have been "Ralph", for was his name Ralph "Mouth"?  We watched each year as the little girl,  Joanie, grew up and even got married.  And while we did not have "Arnolds", we had "Barbeque Cottage" and the "Blue Pig" or was it the Pink Pig, I forget what the pigs place was.  It was a happy time, and that music, well, it is still good as far as I am concerned.  It indeed for the most part was music filled with joy.  I even liked country back then, and I guess I fit that description of being country before country was "cool."  But some country is not full of joy, but very sad.  You can always tell a country song, for it talks about beer, pickup trucks, and someone's mamma.

Let's look at scripture, for God does want us to have all of our days being Happy Days ... He wants us to be joyful and not running around always complaining about things.  Our scripture for today tells us to go "out in joy".  While we might take that in more than one way, let's put leaving this earth out of the picture today, even though if we know the Lord as our Savior we will go out in joy, let's talk about our daily living.  Each day we should get up, go to the bathroom and look in the mirror and try our very best to put on a smile.  This morning when I went to the mirror to "shave", I took a good look, put a smile on my face, and decided as I have for about 40 years, not to shave.  (Yes, I do have a tiny growth of hair on my face.)

The Bible in the same scripture also tell us that we should be led forth in peace.  Now if we are going to be led forth in peace, do you know who you need to be your leader?  If you said Jesus, you are right, for He and He alone can give you peace, real peace, and real joy.

The Bible also tell us "the mountains and hills will burst into song."  Do you remember this song sung by Julie Andrews in the movie "Sound of Music?"  "The hills are alive with the sound of music."

That was a really good movie, and yes, I remember the song.  The Bible also tells us the "trees of the field  will clap their hands."  Have you seen this?  If you say no, then you have never gone for a hike in the mountains when a breeze was blowing and the branches were slapping back and forth and the leaves were slapping each other as if clapping their hands.

God willing, this week we will keep the messages joyful.  I will talk a tad about praying and voting but will try and keep it joyful.

Dear Father in Heaven, forgive us of our sins and take us forth this day in a joyful way.  In Jesus' Name.  Amen.

Now go forth, singing and making a "joyful" noise unto the Lord and sharing your blessings.

Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday 10/19/12 One Way

Dear Father in Heaven, forgive us of our sins this day so we may start fresh, and Father, hear these words of praise this day.  For the man we prayed for that was hit by a car in Florida, thanks to Your healing hand, he is headed home to Pennsylvania, please keep Your hand upon him in travel as he rehabs at home.  Also for bringing Cindy through arm surgery and she is on the mend, all glory and  honor to You, dear Lord, in all healing.  Thanks for always hearing our prayers.  Thanks again for our daily needs and taking care of us.  Thanks for watching over this line, please keep it free of bugs or whatever things that cause the crashes on computers.  I love You, Jesus, and I pray in Your name, Jesus.  Amen.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and welcome to SALVATION FRIDAY on this line.  Thanks for reading and being part of each day with us.  Remember, two weeks from today Carry The Light Ministries is having dedication of Santa's House and rededication of our food pantry.  The time of the dedication is 6:00 PM.  Please arrive early, and then hang out, no need to cook as we will be serving up hotdogs,  hamburger BBQ and turkey chili corn carney (no misspelling, there is some corn in my chili).  Plus we will have cakes and pies, coffee, water, and soda.  This event will go REGARDLESS OF WEATHER.  The Southern Location of the North Pole is 16 Dewalt Dr., Mechanicsburg, PA  17050.

Prayer list today, for Stanley (stroke), Luella (needs full care in nursing home).  Beverly (depression), Michael (marriage problems).  Beth and Craig (for a healthy baby which is due very soon).  Beth is the daughter of Grant and Wanda Crockett from our ministry team!  For Vicki (who has a plate full of health issues).  Also being Salvation Friday we need to pray for all the unsaved and pray that God will use us who are saved to help bring in the lost.  Also on Friday we pray for all those who are working the mission fields.

Starting Monday we will have a food drop off point at the AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey.  An antique pickup truck is in the lobby for both food and toys.  Last year we emptied the truck four times.  This truck will remain in place until December 23rd.  Now for the message.

One way!  10/19/12.

John 14:6 - Jesus answered "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."  (NIV)

I am sure you heard about the young man who was driving on a one way street and going the wrong direction.  A police officer stopped the young man and said, "Do you know this is a one way street?"  The young man gave this answer to the police officer, "Sir, I was only going one way!"  And of course at that point Officer Friendly got out his ticket book ... NO, I was not the young man, thank you!!

You know, in life, we get lots of choices, lots of them, and we must all make those choices and then after they are made, we must live with our choice.  Sometimes the choices are hard, and like my example, may have to do with traffic.  Sometimes we are in the wrong lane and say we want to go straight but find ourselves in a right turn only lane.  Some people choose to hold up traffic while they make a correction and have others wait and cause a safety problem, while others will go around the block and make a safe correction.  Sometimes it might be a wrong line at the checkout counter.  You get in the short line and something happens to the only person ahead of you and price checks are needed, etc.  The longer line moved out right away.  We have choices of lots of things, after all, we live in a free country!  (Except when it comes to paying taxes.)  The truth is, there is not a lot we do not have a choice in.  Someone once said we only need to do two things in life, pay taxes and die!  Let me put an end to that.  In life we have lots of choices but one is that we DO NOT NEED TO DIE.  We even have a choice there.  We can choose between Jesus and eternal life, or sin and really die.  As for the part about taxes, well, if you are going to buy anything, you are going to pay taxes on it.

Now let me go back to the "one way signs."  On the road they are going to be pointing one way or the other, but always either to your left or to your right.  Or straight ahead or if you are going the wrong way, they are pointed behind you.  Now I want you to take that one way sign and do this with paper if you want, point one up and one down.  Getting my message?  On the side of our van we use when singing, we have one way arrows on each side and they point up.  In the middle it states "one way".  Of course our one way is to go to heaven.  Again here you are free to make your very own choice.  You can go "up to heaven" or "down to hell".  No other choice when it comes to the end of our time here on earth.  Now here we go again with the one way thing.  Listen to me here.  Listen up, folks.

If we really do want to go to heaven, it is a ONE WAY choice again.  One way, and here it is from the Bible ...

John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."

You do see it, right?  Jesus answered, and while He was talking to Thomas and His disciples, we know that we are the disciples of today (some of you even have the name Thomas).  So let me state it this way.

Jesus said to all of us:  "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."  And folks, as far as I am concerned, the way I see it, it is not just to be saved, no, it is when we pray, do we talk straight to the Father?  Yes, for Jesus did teach us the Lord's prayer and it starts with Our Father Who Art In Heaven.  However, He also told us that the only way to the Father is through Him.  So when you are calling on the Father, please be sure to send it "home to the Father, through His Son Jesus".  For He, Jesus, is the one and only way to the Father, He is our one way sign pointed up.  And brothers and sisters, Jesus still answers prayers, sometimes we forget to listen and sometimes He tells us NO, and sometimes it might take more than one prayer, but please remember this part of it ... THY WILL BE DONE!  For even when Jesus prayed the night before He was put to death, He prayed to His Father, our Father in Heaven, "Thy will be done."

Not saved today?  You can start by going with we who are saved to prayer asking Jesus to talk to His Father about us, and inviting Jesus into your heart and life and to live for Him daily in all you do.  Not just saying I love You, Jesus, but by working with Him and having faith in what you are praying and doing.  Let's go to prayer.

Dear Father in Heaven, I am a sinner, needing Your touch and the Blood of Your Son Jesus to wash me clean.  Wash me, Lord, wash me clean and help me repent and work for You.  I love You, Jesus, and I pray each day I will walk with You.  I pray today in the wonderful name of Jesus, the one who died for me.  Thanks, Jesus, I love You, Jesus, and I pray in Your name, Jesus.  Amen.

Hey, go forth and have a great weekend, enjoy it and walk with our Lord Jesus, and please, please, share your blessings that have been given unto you.  You do remember that when you give in faith, truly give in faith, your giving will be rewarded by our Lord Jesus.  In faith, and only in faith, you can test Him on this one.  Love ya Pastor Dan.

See you on Monday.

Wed 10/17/12 Pants on Fire!

Romans 1:16 - I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.  (NIV)

Mark 8:38 - "If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of  him when he comes in His Father's glory with the holy angels."  (NIV) (quoting Jesus)

"I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ."  And you can quote me on that one ...

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for another day, thanks for waking us this day, thanks for taking care of our families, our friends, and those people that we love, and Lord Jesus, that should be everyone.  Please teach us more and more each day how to love people, even though we hate their sins.  I pray as a sinner that You cover my sins and that today You will forgive all those who ask in faith.  I love You, Jesus and pray in Your name, Jesus.  Amen.

Praise Report:  Eleanor Saylor is home from the hospital, thanks for your prayers.  All glory and honor to God.

Good day, my dear brothers and sisters.  The first scripture above was sent to me by my dear friend Tom Sansoni after he read over my message of yesterday.  What a great scripture.  Then I quoted Jesus with the next scripture, and then my own quote.  I pray, I truly pray, that all of you can sign onto these scriptures, and that you are truly not ashamed of Jesus.  Now I want to get right to our next scripture.  Please keep praying for those on our list from yesterday.

Pants on Fire:  10/17/12

1 John 2:22 - Who is the liar?  It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, have you ever heard this term, "Liar, liar, pants on fire?"  I have heard that one clean back to when I was a child.  I was also taught not to lie, and when I did, if I got caught, I  had to eat a lot of soap!  My mother made homemade soap and it was called lye soap, and I thought she named it just for me and it was "lie soap."  I know it was rendered down from pig fat, but trust me, it tasted nothing like bacon!  But I brought this subject up today for as I watched the debate last night, and I pray all of you did also, I would yell at the television, you are lying, you are lying, and sadly, it was our president that I had to be yelling at.  Those who know me well know that I am somewhat of a "news junkie."  I keep informed on what is going on around us.  Fact checks going on today confirmed what I was saying last night as fact, and I hate to say this, but our president is an out-and-out liar.

But why in the world would I use the above scripture where it states "Who is the liar?  It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ?"  First of all, if you made it to the end of the debate last night you would have heard Governor Romney state that "he loves God."  People are not talking about these statements today but he also stated that even though some single parents do a good job of raising children, a two-parent home works best.  He was stating that when talking about our inter-city troubles.  Regardless of the Governor's church, he is a Mormon, he confesses to love God, and he has raised his family according to God's standards.  By the way, he also stated that for ten years he was a pastor in his church.  Now I am going to say this, and I want you to listen really well, YOUR CHURCH IS NOT GOING TO GET YOU INTO HEAVEN, IT IS JESUS.  Read these words from

John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."  (NIV)

I am also not going to try and say that Governor Romney never lied while seeking out the highest office in the land, I am not saying that at all.  In fact, I wish that all those running for office had to take an oath to tell the truth or be taken out of the running.

I do not know the doctrines of all churches, but I do know this, none of them will get you into heaven.  However, if you follow the doctrines of the churches and NOT THE TEACHING OF JESUS, then you are not going to make it to heaven.  I have told you many times that you should "fact check" what your pastors preach about by looking it up in the Bible.  I have also told you before if you find yourself in a church where the complete truth based on the Bible is not taught and preached you should get up and RUN.

Now I have been hard on our president, and we do pray for him daily and on this line weekly.  If you recall, most often we pray for him, praying that he would take things to God before he brought them to the people in America.  I also ask that you pray for his soul and that if he is not saved he would come to know Jesus.  Now, folks, going back to yesterday, I talked about how one presents themselves so people could see Jesus in them.  What I have seen over the last years is a president bowing down to foreign leaders.  The Bible tells us only to bow down to our Lord.  Our president, who when he went to church sat in one that the pastor "damned the Lord."

Sadly, it seems that over the years LYING IS ACCEPTED, and it becomes the norm and listen, I am not talking about those little stories we all grew up with like the tooth fairy.  Hey, last night I put my teeth under my pillow and got five dollars for them.  Just kidding, of course, but you know where I am coming from on these things.

In closing today, again I want to ask you to pray and pray for the upcoming election, and pray also that God's will is done, as we should always pray.  Then I ask that you listen for God to speak to your heart and vote that way, and not on a promise from any candidate just because they promised you something.  Remember, please, our needs come from God, not Washington, DC.  You must have faith in God above all else.

Dear Father in Heaven, please guide us each day, please help us with the upcoming elections and help us to sort out the facts from the lies, give us the knowledge and wisdom to do this, please.  And Lord, help us to be nearer and nearer to You each day.  And Lord, please, please, help us to repent and follow You and only You.  Thanks for hearing our prayers this day which I offer up in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings.  Oh, more than likely I will not be writing tomorrow.  I have a really early start tomorrow and then some things that must be done.  If I do write, it will be in the evening.  Keep your faith, brothers and sisters.  GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Tuesday 10/16/12 Politically Correct

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us of our sins this day and help us to march forward as a warrior for You.  Thank You so much for all the blessings You bestow upon us and all You have done and still do for all of us.  Thank You, Lord, for our daily bread with enough left over to help hundreds of others.  In all things, dear Lord, we give honor and glory ... In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Good Evening, my dear brothers and sisters.  Yes, a late start again today.  I just do not know where the days are going lately.  The good, good news from our house, we are on the green side of the grass.

Tuesday and the day we pray for a cure for diseases.  Also please pray today for Eleanor Saylor as she has been admitted to the hospital.  Please keep praying for Vicki, we really need to cover Vicki in prayer.  Please remember to pray for the election, pray and listen for God to tell you who to vote for.  Again, as for me and my house, we will forever vote for life!!  Let me get to the message ... I do want to get this out before the great debate ...

Politically Correct - 10/16/2012.

Titus 1:16 - They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him.  They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.  (NIV)

Hey, those words sound strong, but they are right from the Bible, and yes, I have used them before.

Dear brothers and sisters, we are not Christians by default.  Seems sometimes the news people seem to put people in groups, and they call some people who have done bad things Christians, even if that person might have just committed a very major crime.  Christian means to be Christ-like, so when you see people saying they are Christians and going in the opposite direction as Christ, then they could not be Christians.  With that said, we all sin, but we do not set out to do it daily.

Years ago, after coming to Christ, some folks where I was working at the time said, "he acts like Jesus.  He prays for people who are sick and expects them to be healed.  He has prayer meetings in his office and somehow gets away with it." ... Now these folks that made the statement thought it would upset me.  The truth of the matter is if we truly are Christians then people should see Christ in us.  We should never, never, take the glory away from God, we need to be sure in all we do the glory goes to Jesus.  The above Scripture is from Titus 1:16.  They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him, tells me that we should act the best we can to be Christ-like and people should see Jesus in us.

I can remember when a dear friend of mine left a church, he said, "There was no Jesus there."  The pastor was not preaching the truth as it came from the Bible and no calls for salvation were given.

The politically correct part comes in for so many this day are afraid to talk about Jesus in public because it is not politically correct.  We have many, many Christians working at places where they cannot just come out and say to others, you need to have Jesus in your life.  But they can live the life of Jesus and when one-on-one, they can always find a way to get their message to the others.  Folks, if you deny God, you just might find out that in the end, when you stand before Jesus for judgment, you might be denied also.

But with that said, do not let people put you on a guilt by saying if you do not forward something they wrote or sent you, you are denying God.  I do not get involved in those "chain e-mails.

Move forward each day, in the name of Jesus, and work for Him all the time, and you can do this by living for Him.  If you are at a place where you cannot speak out loud, but please remember, EVEN CHRISTIANS HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN THIS COUNTRY, even though sometimes it is not politically correct!!  Remember also if they take you to task for speaking out for Jesus, you are in good company.  Jesus died for it!  AMEN.

Dear Father in Heaven, I love You dearly and pray others on this line love You dearly also.  Please watch over Your children, dear Lord.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings and serve our Lord Jesus Christ.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

BREAKING NEWS, THERE HAS JUST BEEN AN EARTHQUAKE IN MAINE.  It is in the Bible that this would happen.  What is not in the Bible is someone will blame it on former President Bush.

Sorry, I just had to say that.

Monday 10/15/12 Entitlements

Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for another day of life here on this beautiful planet called Earth.  Thank You for the fact that I am a Christian, born again through the blood of Jesus whom I love very, very much.  Thanks, Jesus, for setting examples for all of us to follow, and forgive us, please, when we don't, and help to put us back on track.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters.  It is Monday and a really nice day here on the green side of the grass at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  Let me clear the air on something.  I am deeply in love with a man, I have confessed this before, and I have even told my wife.  The man's name is Jesus, and I love Him dearly.  I pray you all love Him also.  Today being Monday it is the day we pray for veterans, and folks, this morning on the news I saw a sad but really neat news clip.  It showed President George W. Bush dancing with one of our female veterans who gave a leg for our nation.  Praise God for our veterans and for our current military.  Today we also pray for our current military, our police (all types, even your local sheriff).  Please pray for firefighters, and folks, those would be the brave men and women you see running into a burning building as others run out.  Prayers also for Vicki as she has a full plate.  And Monday is also the day we pray for our President and other leaders, and PLEASE, PLEASE pray for our upcoming elections.  And please as you pray, listen for God to tell you who to vote for.  Please do not vote for the ONE WHO WANTS TO KEEP KILLING BABIES.  Please remember that the baby in the womb belongs to God.  It is a child of God.

Entitlements:  10/15/2012.

Psalm 23:1 - The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.  (NIV)

Entitlements:  More than likely I will have some people drop off the line for writing this, but I must give it to you as God gives it to me.  Have you talked to people about the upcoming elections and asked people why they would vote for a certain person - this not just in the presidential election, but even the local elections?  It seems a lot of people vote for the person who they think will give them the most.  Longer unemployment pay, higher wages, free lunches for kids, free breakfast for kids, free supper for the kids, food stamps, free health care, and I could go on and on.  Some people see ads on TV or hear them on radio about getting free meds, and even free scooters.

Brothers and sisters, there are NO FREE RIDES, someone must pay for these things, and all so often those who get up and go to work in the morning are paying for people who are NOT disabled but just too lazy to get out of bed and go to work.  I am telling it like it is.  I also know people who need our help and most of us know the difference.  I have been blessed over and over again to know a family where a mother, son, and daughter live together.  The kids even though they had some disabilities went to work daily, DAILY, and they worked hard and earned retirements, they took care of an aging mother and father, and still even after their dad went to be with the Lord, still take care of their mother.  These folks are truly in love with Jesus and worked hard all their lives, a great example for all to follow.  While on the other hand there are people out there who think the government should supply everything, regardless if they worked or not, and some of them keep having kids they cannot afford.

This morning when Dolores and I were praying and after thanking Him for taking us through another night and watching over our family and friends and our animals, we started asking for things.  It went like this ...

Please, Lord, thanks for another day of life and thanks for watching over our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, thanks for our ministry and thanks for our flock at the Bridges.  And Lord, we ask that You please keep watching over our kids and please be in charge of our next election, etc., etc.

And then I closed in the name of Jesus, of course.  Just a side note, when you pray, please close it up through Jesus, remember, Jesus is the way to the Father.  I hear people closing prayers saying, In His name, and I am thinking, do they know Jesus, why not pray in Jesus' name?

Anyway, as I prayed for a message for today it came to me, not only do a lot of people think that benefits that are given to them by our governments are "ENTITLEMENTS" when indeed they are not entitlements, they are benefits afforded unto people who need them.  And some people who do not need them are kept on them.  Remember, nothing is free, someone pays for those benefits.

Let me talk just a minute about ENTITLEMENTS.  We are entitled to nothing, nothing, I say, but we do have a promise that is the nearest thing to an entitlement that I can think of.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I SHALL NOT WANT!!!

I want you to really, really think about this, folks, as you pray, and yes, it is okay to ask God for things, but be sure, be sure you remember to give thanks, and if I am guilty of this, my please, Lord, list is always longer than my thank You, Lord, list.  Also, folks, it is good to help others, and if others who you help really did not need the help but lied about it, they and not you will answer for that in the end.  God will sort out all of this.  Let me tell you that each of us needs to address our own self and see if we are working right in the eyes of our Lord Jesus.  Do you remember years ago when we had the saying WWJD, or What Would Jesus Do?  We need to start that one up again and keep it as our guideline.  Would Jesus expect our government to supply us things?  You answer it ... I trust Jesus for my daily needs, for He will, as promised, take care of my needs and He even does good on my wants.  I think you are getting the picture.  What do you think, folks?  Do you think you are entitled to things that you do not pay for?  Folks, I am not talking retirements and Social Security where we paid into, we should expect that we get at least back what we paid in, but should we expect more and more?

As for ME AND MY HOUSE WE ARE TRUSTING THE LORD JESUS AND NOT OUR GOVERNMENT ... HOW ABOUT YOU?

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for the message, I pray I got it right as You wanted it, please, Lord, and here I go again, hear our prayers as we listed them, and Lord, thank You for all things good and thanks for setting good examples for us to follow.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now go forth and share those blessings.  And remember as you share them you cannot out-give our Lord Jesus when you indeed give in faith.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Salvation Friday 10/12/12 Are You Hated?

Dear Father in Heaven, it is Salvation Friday on our line, and we ask You this day to forgive us of our sins and to help us to repent of sinning again and again.  We do confess we need help in doing just that.  For those of us who are Born Again, we want to renew today and just keep praying You will use us as we renew with You to help bring in the lost to Your feet and we pray that they will come in faith and be saved.  Lord, I want to talk to You about our upcoming election here in the United States of America.  HELP US, LORD, PLEASE HELP US.  We have a President and Vice President in office now that think nothing of killing an unborn child and also approve of gay marriages.  Lord, we humbly come to You seeking You to intervene in this election and according to Your will, install someone in office that will call on You to get this country back on track.  We Christians need to unite under Jesus and we should have never walked away.  You have been put out of places, Lord, and I for one want You back in.  Please, Lord, and we will honor Your will, hear our prayers for the sick and hungry this day and help us to put feet on our prayers.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Good Salvation Friday Evening, my dear brothers and sisters.  Please, please, pray daily for our upcoming election, and brothers and sisters, I will tell you right now, as for me and my house, we love the Lord and we love life and we will vote life.  Brothers and sisters, we have people coming for food that think that we are handing out food that comes from President Obama ... WE TAKE NO GOVERNMENT SUPPORT, AND WE NEVER HAVE!!!!  I have never seen anything like this, it seems that those in the White House now are trying their best to buy all the votes just by keeping people on welfare.  Even free cell phones now ... But putting it all aside, we need to humble ourselves and pray for God's will and then put feet on your prayers by listening to God and voting what He places on your heart and not what someone might be trying to put in your wallet.  Now I have spoken my heart.  PRAY, WARRIORS, PRAY, AND PRAY AND VOTE.  Now for the message!!

Are you Hated?  10/12/12.

John 15:18 - "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.  19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own.  As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.  20 Remember the words I spoke to you:  'No servant is greater than his master.'  If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.  If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.  21 They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me."  (NIV)

My dear brothers and sisters, if you are a true disciple of Jesus, not just in name, but if you are a true disciple of Jesus, meaning you are willing to work for Him and take the Good News of Jesus to where He sends you, then, my dear friend, be prepared to be hated by others.  Deep down I think all of us want everyone to like us, but the fact is when we speak out for Jesus we are going to have people who don't just dislike us but deeply hate us and who and what we stand for.  The Bible tells us that some might even be our very own family.  But hey, if we are hated, we are in good company, for they first hated Jesus ...

John 15:18 - "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first."

Today as we know, people are trying to "kick Jesus out" of everything.  No prayers in school, no Bible reading in school, gosh, I was told I could not even pray to open board meetings at the Museum of Bus Transportation where I was a board member and even appointed Chaplain.  A new board member complained and the board voted in a "moment of silence."  MY LORD JESUS WILL BE SILENCED NO MORE ... Someone shout AMEN ... Not being able to do anything about this and still loving those at the museum, I did what the Bible tells me to do ... dust off my shoes and move on.  Oh, just to point out something, within a year after stopping those prayers, 70% of the antique buses went underwater in a major flood.  You say one had nothing to do with the other?  Think again.  Take a look at our schools since we put Jesus out, have they improved or did they go downhill?  You answer that one.  If you are working for Jesus and putting out the truth, expect some to hate you and dare I say, wear it as a badge of honor!!  Please remember if someone hates you, please never stop loving them, even if you dust off your feet and move on.  Remember we must love the sinners, because our Jesus loves us and we are sinners, but we must also hate their sins, because Jesus hates sin.

My dear late mamma told me back when I was in school that we should "overwhelm people who hate us with love for them."   Folks, please do that, not for me, but for Jesus this day.  Walk with Him, talk with Him, and love Him, and know that because of all of this, you will be hated by many.  It is okay, for we are in good company.  Remember, Jesus was persecuted, so expect the same thing.  Folks, it is worth it, for those who stand together in the name of Jesus will stand together very strong and some sweet day will stand together in Heaven.

Jesus is also telling us to remember, for those who listened to Jesus, they also will listen to us ...

John 15:20 - "Remember the words I spoke to you:  'No servant is greater than his master.'  If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.  If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also."

Be a true fighter for Jesus and His Word ... And brothers and sisters, the very best way you can witness for Jesus, the very, very best way to witness for Him is to live for Him and let others see Jesus in You.  In other words, set a good example by the way you "carry yourself."

And remember this, better to be hated for loving Jesus than to be loved for hating Him.

Now go forth, my dear brothers and sisters and share those blessings and remember that Jesus loves you very, very much, and I love ya also.  Pastor Dan.

Tuesday 10/9/12 Fear God!

Dear Father in Heaven.  Good Morning, Lord, thanks for another day, and Lord, I am sorry I missed yesterday, no excuse, Lord, I just did not get all things fit in.  Please forgive me for this, and Lord, forgive others who did not do their work You have asked them to do.  Forgive our sins this day, Lord, and help us to repent of them and walk daily with You.  Hear our prayers this day for healing of those who have cancer, heart problems, kidney problems, addiction problems, and humble all to our knees to worship You.  In Jesus' name, I pray.  Amen.

Good morning, my dear brothers and sisters.  It is a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  Here is a date for you to remember ... Friday, November 2nd at 6:00 PM we are going to dedicate "Santa's House" to the Lord.  Come early, please, come straight from work, we will be having "Turkey Chili Con Carney" Hamburger BBQ, and the All American favorite "Hotdogs".  NO booze, drinks, and lots and lots of desserts, cake, pie, pie, and cake, and more cake and pie.  We have heard, shhhhh, but we have heard, Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming.  We are also going to re-dedicate the food pantry to the Lord (after all, He stocks it).  Please pray for Vicki, she has a full plate again.  Pray for God to heal h er, so she can get a job and get back to work.  This alone will help her feel better.  Let's get to the message.  FEAR GOD!!

1 Peter 1:13 - There, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope full on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.  14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.  15 But  just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.  16 For it is written:  "Be Holy because I am Holy."  17 Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear.  (NIV)

Proverbs 1:7 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.  (NIV)

Proverbs 8:13 - To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.  (NIV)

Proverbs 16:6 - Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord a man avoids evil.  (NIV)

Fearing God.  A friend of mine told me one time he did not fear God for we have a loving God.  And yes, we have a loving God, and we need to fear Him.  The Bible tells us Reverent Fear.  Let me roll you back to the days of childhood, yes, back when those streets were dirt.  By the way, that is not a saying - when I lived on South 27th Street as a child, the side street, "Woodlawn Street", was indeed still dirt as was the alley behind our house.  Anyway, growing up in a home with very lovely parents, both of whom were school teachers, I did learn a few things, "taught by the tune of a hickory stick," so to speak.  I loved my parents, and I knew they loved me, yet I did have this fear of punishment if I was a bad little boy, and I was indeed a bad little boy sometimes.  Okay, more than sometimes.  I can remember one time I hung a dart board on the inside of our garage doors so as to throw some darts.  Now I was not the brightest bulb in the socket, for the garage doors, double doors, had windows in them, and I hung the target between the windows.  Well, you can guess what happened.  I missed the target and the dart went out into the alley, yes, through the window.  Now, I knew I would need to face my daddy that evening when he got home from Pine Grove where he taught school.  How in the world was my daddy going to deal with me when I tell him I broke THREE windows in the garage doors?  Come on, folks, I just had to finish the game!  And before we were done, I had taken out not one, not two, but three windows.  Let me see, a book in my pants?  No, plead stupid?  Well, yes, but he would know that right away.  Tell him I would pay for them?  That was it, and that worked.  But trust me when I say from the time I broke the windows I had this fear of what was going to  happen.  Let me put this in my words, if you want to dance, you need to pay the band, or so to speak.

You see brothers and sisters, oftentimes because of my love for and also fear of my parents doing the punishment thing, I really did stay out of trouble.  I never smoked or drank, and once I had a car, I was sort of an angel because I did not want them to take my car away.  I had that fear.

So with God having so much love for us that He gave His son for us, should we not fear God The Father and Jesus His Son, who will by the way judge us?  I do not believe we are to be scared of Him, no, no, just have fear of His punishment for us, and yes, folks, we will be judged.  The fear is called Reverent Fear as stated in the Bible.  Dare I say it could be respectful fear, as I had for my parents.  I respected them enough that I wanted to act like they taught me to act.  Yes, I failed my parents and broke a few windows, and yes, I h ave over the years broken a few of God's windows also, we call that sin.  (I understand that when Jesus puts out the all for me, he is going to either get rid of the dart board, or board up the windows.  Yes, I am kidding.)

Maybe one more example ... Again from my childhood, I was taught by my mother how to cross streets, in fact before my first year in school, mamma walked me to school and showed me how to cross each street.  Look both ways, I want you to be safe, she taught me not to be scared to cross the street, but to have enough fear of being hit by a car that I would take time to look.

Do you see where I am coming from?  Have enough reverent fear of God not to break His laws and commands.  Have enough reverent fear to REPENT, FOR SURE THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR ... Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for loving us, thanks for loving me ... be with us, walk with us and help us have reverent fear of You, and have it out of respect for Your love for us.  Help us also stay away from sins. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Now go forth and share those blessings.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Monday 10/8/12 Living Hope

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for another day here on earth, and thanks for watching over us.  Lord, please be with our leaders this day and please, Lord, bless them and keep them safe.  I pray today for our upcoming election for a president for America and also for those others running for office.  We really want a president that supports life, Lord.  Lord, I am not going to try and twist Your arm, I am just praying, Thy will be done, Lord.  Lord, please be with our veterans, our troops, our police, and firefighters, and all those who work so hard to keep us safe and healthy.  In the name of Jesus, I give praise today for Your supplying our daily needs in full.  In Jesus' name, I pray.  AMEN.

Good Monday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is a good day, an excellent day, a perfect day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  Please pray for the Carry The Light Ministry food pantry, as our shelves are getting low, and there are more and more families coming for food.  Praise be to God, we have never, NOR WILL WE EVER turn anyone away.  And why?  Well, we have Living Hope.

Living Hope 10/8/12.

1 Peter 1:3 - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.  (NIV)

Living Hope, yes, we have a Living Hope, which was given to us through the death of Jesus on the cross and His being risen from the dead.  We also have a Living Hope because even when things are tough He will take care of us.  We have a Living Hope because we have JESUS CHRIST.  Dear brothers and sisters, and I expect to hear from some of you on this statement, if you do not have Jesus in your life, you have NO HOPE at all.  With Jesus you have hope, hope for today and hope for all the tomorrows that God might grant upon you.  But without Jesus, even if you live years and years, until you are well over 100, without Jesus, you still have NO HOPE.  For it is through Jesus Christ that we have faith and that we will gain heaven, where we will live with Him forever and ever.

I hear so much talk about what one might inherit here on earth from family that has passed.  I have seen and heard of families fighting over their inheritance and that one might have gotten more than another.  Brothers and sisters, I am telling you right now, the best thing that you can leave for your family once Jesus calls you home is your getting all of them to come to Jesus Christ for Salvation.

Let me be very clear about this and say it again.  With Jesus you have hope, and without Jesus you have no hope.  It is simple, clear, and brothers and sisters, it is free.  I did not say it comes cheap, for Jesus gave His life for us, but is free for all who just reach out for Jesus.  Once you receive this free gift of Salvation, then we must get to work for Him sharing the good news with others.

The inheritance of Heaven that you will receive through you being born again will not perish, spoil, or fade, it will be waiting on you safe with Jesus.  Your earthly inheritance, if indeed you do receive any, will fade, perish, spoil, rust, get stolen, etc.  Just remember this last statement, if you save up and buy gold on earth, you must buy a safe to put it in to keep it from melting in fire or someone stealing it (more than likely they will steal the safe and all).  But when you get to heaven, you are just going to walk on the gold.  How about that?

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins, please help me repent, and please, Lord, put my name in Your book of life so when my time comes to leave this earth, I pray I can be with You in Heaven.  Thanks, Lord.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday 10/5/12 Salvation Friday

Dear Father in Heaven ... Thanks for another day on this old earth.  Please forgive us, for me of my sins as I go forth this day and please help me repent and to try my very very best not to sin again.  Thanks, dear Lord, and thanks for all You do for all of us, and thanks for all the blessings You trust to us.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and yes, I have it dated on Friday but am writing on Saturday morning, running a day late.  Guess I missed the bus.  So today is October 6th, Happy Birthday, Karen!

Salvation Friday and the day we pray for all those working in the fields of Harvest and pray that they can turn some soul for the Lord.  Yes, I have the word spelled correctly, soul, not soil.

Salvation Friday and what a day it was!

James 5:19 - My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, 20 remember this:  Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, when God commanded us to go into all the world and preach the Good News, He did not say to preach it to just Christians or people who call themselves Christians (there is a big difference).  We are expected by God to be preaching that Good News of Jesus Christ and salvation through Jesus Christ to all people, and folks, please remember that all people, red, yellow, black, and white, and all the mixes, are all God's people.  And please remember this, regardless of their religion, it is our job to tell about Salvation through Jesus Christ.  Please also remember that there are a lot of denominations out there that do believe in Jesus as their Savior, and there are some that do not.  Also out of some who say they believe in Salvation through Jesus Christ, and who say they are a Christian Denomination they are trying to sell their flocks on lies.  That is why I will tell you and many, many pastors will tell you to CARRY YOUR BIBLE and check out for yourself what you are being told.  Be sure what you are being told and taught is coming from THE WORD OF GOD.  Case in point, there is no place in the Bible that tells you that a man can marry a man or a woman can marry a woman and it is okay.  No, if a church is teaching that or even accepting it, it is a lie.  To accept something that is wrong, listen to me and hear me on this one.  To accept something that you know is wrong is really approving of it.  If you are going to a church that supports what is wrong, I have one suggestion for you, RUN.  Get out of that church and get to one that is preaching the truth after you try what I will be telling you later on in the message.  You would not purchase gas from a gas station that is "adding some water to the gas", so why in the world would you go and hear messages that are "watered down"?  You would not purchase meat from a butcher shop where the butcher lays his finger on the scale to make it look heavier than it is.  So why would you go hear messages that are not weighted correctly according to the Word of God found in our Bibles?

Let's take a look at the scripture for today.

James 5:19 -  My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, 20 remember this:  Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.  (NIV)

If you wander from the truth, someone needs to come after you.  If you go to a church and you are sitting there and your pastor is wandering from the truth, before you RUN take some other members of your church and go and talk to the pastor, for if you can bring him back you will be blessed over and over again.  The same with members of your church or your family and friends.  There are also times when you will find if you are going to stand for Jesus, you might be standing there with some of your friends walking away, but fear not, you will never stand alone when you stand with Jesus.  Folks, when we go out to work for the Lord, we are to be taking the Good News, the Truth about Salvation Through Jesus, we are to be taking these words with us ... "REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR."

Everyone should ask this question of their pastors and the elders of their church ... Do you believe in Jesus as your Savior and are you "Born Again"?  And this one, do you believe in EVERYTHING in the Bible?  Folks, it is important that we believe all that is in the Bible, for if you do not believe all of it, then answer this question for me.  How do you believe any of it?

Dear Father in Heaven, we want to believe all that is in Your Word.  Please open it to us, and help us to be able to read and understand it.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Now go forth, repenting of your sins and teaching the Good News of Jesus Christ, and while going forth, please take time to "share your blessings."  Love ya, Pastor Dan.
