Thursday 8/9/12 Salvation Week (4)

Romans 5:8 - But god demonstrates His own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  (NIV)  (New International Version)

Dear Father in Heaven, once again we give You thanks for taking us through another night, and once again we ask if You would please forgive us of our sins and help us repent so that we might start this day clean and with You.  We give all honor and glory to our Lord Jesus for this ... and I pray in His mighty Name.  Amen.

Happy Thursday on this Salvation Week, a week when I am writing and talking about Salvation through our Lord Jesus.  Question:  Who needs Salvation through Jesus?  Answer:  Only those who want to go to heaven.  PERIOD!!  Beside praying for Salvation, please pray for Vicki as she has a plate full again.  Also pray for our son Matthew, who is still missing.  Prayers for the family of Carol Harris who went home to be with Jesus.

Thursday is also the day we pray for families, churches and their flocks, and our schools.  Folks, it is time to start stopping by your local schools and praying over them while sitting on the parking lot.  And folks, pray over those school buses also.  We need to get God's safety hand on them.  Now let's get to the message!!

Salvation Week (Day Four).

Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates His own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, long before we were born God saw us, in fact the Bible tells us He knew us before we were in the womb.  He also knew we were/are and always will be sinners, even though we try and repent.

While Jesus did die for our sins, He was sent by God the Father to die on the cross so that His blood would clean us of our sins and that we would have a way to get into heaven.  This, folks, is the very best gift you will ever receive in your lifetime here on earth.  It is the gift of Salvation, that keeps you from dying and moves you right onto heaven.  Folks, it is time for me to point out to you that there is no way you can work your way into heaven.  You just cannot do that.  Jesus paid the price for you when He died on the cross, and this gift is free to all who come forth and ask to receive the gift.  And brothers and sisters, regardless of what anyone tells you, the only way into heaven is through Christ Jesus.  For this, I want to show you in scripture so that you can show others ... Jesus is the way and the only way ...

John 14:1 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; Trust also in me.  2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  4 You know the way to the place where I am going."  5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"  6 Jesus answered, "I AM THE WAY AND THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.  NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME."  (NIV)

I want to say this over and over again and again.  Jesus is the way to heaven, Jesus is the way to heaven, Jesus paid our debt of sin when He died on the cross and gave this gift to me.  There is NO OTHER WAY TO GET INTO HEAVEN.  This is also a very personal thing between us (the sinner) and Jesus, our Savior. Again, repeat after me ... THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO HEAVEN!!  Let me repeat this verse ...

John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.  (NIV)

Someone should be shouting out right now with me ... THANK YOU, JESUS, THANK YOU, JESUS, PRAISE YOU, JESUS ... and then add a few of these ... AMEN, AMEN, AMEN.  Tomorrow, my dear brothers and sisters, we need to talk salvation and take the last step.  Then next week, we find out how to work for Jesus, how to be a fisher of men.  I think it would be nice to have communion tomorrow, so bring your bread and juice and we will have communion and the come clean with Jesus asking Him into our hearts.  Don't miss tomorrow.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks again for the messages, keep us safe while we are apart from each other today and help us stay in touch and in step with You by walking in Your light.  I love You, Jesus.  Please act on our prayer requests according to Your will for us.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Tomorrow, communion, and confession, and either renewing with Jesus or coming forth for the first time ... We could call this an 'ONLINE ALTAR CALL".  Now go forth sharing your blessings and loving on Jesus.
Love Ya, Pastor Dan.
