Monday: Sept. 5, 2011 The Days America Was Hit!

You shall not murder!

Good Labor Day Monday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters... Labor Day, and people get a paid holiday. Labor Day to me means working even harder for our Lord. Let us labor for the Master from Dawn to Setting Sun. Today I ask you to pray for our leaders and those working men and women who do not get a day off, who labor for this country in one way or another. Yes, our President (he will surely labor on the golf course). Our fine men and women of The United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, State and Local Police, please pray for those in your state and local area. Pray for the Sheriff and US Marshalls, and those from all of the letters... FBI, CIA and WFG.

Brothers and Sisters... At the end of this week some of you might be upset with me, and some will agree with me. But God has planted messages on my mind this week that you might not think are coming and you need to read all week. Yes, you can forward it if you wish, but God will supply you blessings if you do or don't. You know that, of course, and we get all those things that say send this to ten people and the one who sent it and you will be blessed. If you are reading this you are already blessed for God has given you another day of life and of course eye sight and yes, a computer.

A praise report. Dolores is back in rehab, the blood clot is under control, her fluid has been drained out and she is doing much better. She is fired up for the Lord and is ready to work hard in rehab. However, it is labor day and all those in the hospital in rehab get to NOT GO because all the rehab people are given the day off.

Let's get started and we need to start today with prayer.

Dear Father in Heaven, You have talked to me all weekend about the messages of this week, and Father, it will be hard for some to understand, but with Your help to open the messages to me and Your help in me getting them out, it will be great... Lord, guide now my mind and my hands. Be with all those on our prayer lists. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

The Day America Was Hit. Day One. Exodus 20:13 - "You shall not murder!" (NIV)

All of you know and should remember some of the dates I am going to be writing about this week, but one of those dates stands out more to me than others. Of course this coming Sunday is September 11, 2011 and that is ten years since those planes hit our trade centers in New York and hit the Pentagon and the one went down in Western Pennsylvania. Many lives were lost that day, and moreso a big hit was taken on our freedom... What might happen on this 9/11 as we have learned to call it? But before I talk about that, I want to go back to my days of childhood, back to just a few months after I was delivered into this world by loving parents who loved the Lord.

I was born on May 16, 1941, just a few short months before the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and killed so many. How could this have happened? I can't say I remember the bombing, but I do remember what came after that. I guess my memory starts at about 4 years of age, and I can look back and remember those Air Raid Drills. Back in those days we would have blackouts, the sirens would ring and they scared me, for I did not know what was going on. Then you would see an Air Raid warden walking up and down the streets. The power company turned off the street lights, and we had to turn off the lights in the house, and I mean turn them all off. Completely in the dark.

I can also remember some daylight drills where once again the sirens rang out and if driving you got off the road, and if you were near a shelter you went to it... I remember in school how we would line up in the hall and put one arm over our eyes and the other behind our neck. Sometimes I was so scared I would hold hands with a girl in the class (ok, I wanted to hold her hand). I remember how some would cry and the teachers would tell us it is a drill. Well, we went to war over all of this and it was called World War 2, and folks, back then our TROOPS WERE SUPPORTED.

I want to talk to you a bit about Murder, as it is one of the original ten commandments from God. It is very simple, this commandment just says this... as found in Exodus 20:13 - "You shall not murder!" (NIV) Boy that is right to the point. I want to bring this out from Matthew.

Matthew 5:21 - "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' (NIV)

I just wanted to bring out to you about the judgment if you murder, and the judgment being talked about is not the judgment by man, but by our Lord Jesus on Judgment day. Of course there are judgments to have for crimes here in America, however, often Murder is, well, overlooked... Murder overlooked... Yes, murder overlooked, people turn their heads, and even in some case support the murder of others.

Now, folks, as I wrap out for today, I want you to go back in your minds and in your history thinking and think about The Days America Was Hit. How many can you think about and what are the dates? How many were killed, and was it an act of war or just murder? I mentioned two dates so far and need to just let you think about it... Wow, there goes that Air Raid Siren, and oh, never mind, I am not in fifth grade anymore and cannot use that to hold some girl's hand. But hey, I am blessed, I have my dear wife and I can hold her hand, and even better I CAN HOLD THE HAND OF JESUS. That would be one with the scar on it, left or right, you can hold the hand of Jesus.

Now go forth and share your blessings and remember, be here all week, as it is going to get hot before the end of the week... Love ya, Pastor Dan.
