Tuesday: Back to the Basics 7

And God spoke all these words!!!

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Tuesday and that means it is schools day on this line, the day we pray for our schools and all who go through the doors, which includes but is not limited to, parents, students, employees, and remember all employees, for sometimes people think about just the teachers and forget who runs the school (The Secretary) and those who keep the school clean and the ones who feed the kids. Also remember those who work for the schools and some never enter the doors, well except for the doors of those big yellow buses. Yes, pray for the ones who work on them and drive them. Please remember this... We have teachers who have trouble controlling children with just 15 or 20 in front of them, and in some cases just a couple and sometimes with assistants in the room... then when the bell rings we send them on the road with a bus driver, load the bus up to 90, yes I said 90, kids and expect the driver who has their back to them, to be able to watch them and the traffic both. Pray warriors pray... and with that said, know that the safest way to travel per passenger mile is by bus and the safest of the safe is by school bus. Think safety in travel, think BUSES!!!! Over the road, charter, city transit, or school bus... pray for all those drivers today.

Also today please pray for this dear friend of mine. He has been an inspiration to me since I met him years ago. His name is Douglas (Doug) Boyer, funeral director from New Bloomfield, and Duncannon Pa. Gospel singer and the backbone of Brotherhood Native America Outreach. Doug had a stroke yesterday. I understand it was mild and he will be transferred to rehab today... Pray warriors, pray... Just a side note on Doug... Doug came to Jesus years ago in the living room of his house watching the Couriers on TV.

Back To The Basics 7: Exodus 20:1 - And God spoke all these words. 2 "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 13 You shall not murder 14 You shall not commit adultery, 15 You shall not steal." (NIV)

Let me cover three of the basics today from those ten commandments that we have been doing. These, my dear brothers and sisters, are so basic and believe it or not there are laws on the books about all three of these... You shall not murder. It sound so simple and think why would one person want to kill another, yet just the week before last one of our military killed over a dozen of his fellow military in what I truly believe was a terrorist hit on America. It seems we have concern over those we lose in wars, and folks we should, don't get me wrong here, but we lose so many, many more in murders. Look up the numbers yourself. God tells us there will be wars and rumors of wars and we are not to be concerned, but He also tells us not to murder. Oh and remember after you count all the murders in all the local papers across the country, remember to add in the murder of our unborn children. Folks, I know that those who commit murder can and will be forgiven by our Lord Jesus if they come to Him in faith and ask, but I know I would not want to be in the shoes of all those MURDER DOCTORS, YES, MURDER DOCTORS AND NURSES who are killing off our unborn children, and folks, our PRESIDENT IS JUST AS GUILTY for he supports it... and if you support it, you have blood on your hands also. Yes, I said that, and the churches that support it like THE UNITED METHODIST, have blood on their hands also, and folks, if you are putting money in the collection plate you are supporting what the church stands for. Think about it, folks, and if you who are United Methodist think I am wrong, look in your book of discipline. Sisters and brothers, if you have been involved in an abortion, I invite you to get on your knees and ask to be forgiven... Jesus will forgive you and make a way for you to get into heaven.

Now let me move on to You shall not commit adultery. Yes, in some towns and in some states this is still on the books as a law. But it has always been on the book from God, our Bible, as one of the commandments. So those who have broken this law of God, I also invite you to get on your knees and ask to be forgiven. Jesus does forgive, my friends, and He went to the cross to show that to us.

Last today is You shall not steal. How many of us can truly say that we have never stolen anything? This is very basic, my friends, and if you have never stolen anything you are indeed an excellent person on this commandment. I want you to look back over your life... Did you take out a gun and stick up the bank? More than likely not, did you rob the gas station with a gun? More than likely not, did you rob the corner with a gun in hand, more than likely not. However, did you go home from work with tape, pens, and other of those small office supplies, did you who worked in the shops take home a tool and not return it? When I owned service stations, I would let employees use my shop off the clock, and would not charge them for tape, screws and things like that, but some would change oil if I was not there and not pay for the filter or the oil. Some would steal gas, they got fired. Folks, but the biggest thing stolen today, and hear me on this one, the biggest thing stolen today, and this is my opinion of course, the biggest thing stolen today is... Oh, I think I will make you wait till tomorrow. No, I will tell you and again it is my opinion. The biggest thing that is stolen today is time. People go to work, no more than in the door they clock on and head to the coffee pot. They get a drink of coffee and stand and talk for a while. Then comes the breaks and how long do they last? And the personal calls and the cell phone calls and texting and folks, if you are reading this on company time, unless you are the OWNER, you are stealing time. So if you get the message at work, be sure you have permission and then please, please read them on your time, go in early, stay late, read them on your lunch... or better yet, give me your home email address.

So a quick review of those basics for today... Do not murder, do not commit adultery, and do not steal. Pretty basic to me, but trust me, I have been on my knees to ask to be forgiven for breaking commandments in my life. Yes, when we break them, they are sins, and we all sin. Thank You, Jesus, for forgiving me, and all others who ask. In fact, let us go to Jesus today just to ask for forgiveness...

Dear Father in Heaven, you think we would have learned early in life not to sin, yet we sin and need forgiven. Thanks for sending us Jesus and thank You Jesus for dying so we can have a way to be forgiven. Please Lord, forgive all those asking right now, including me. Father, I pray for Doug Boyer today, I pray that you heal him and bring him back whole. Lord, also be in our schools blessings all who go there, be they like it or not... bless them all. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Go forth now, trying your very best to repent and getting back to the basics with Jesus, and one of the basics, sharing your blessings... love ya, dan.
