Monday: Thanksgiving 1

Let us come before Him with Thanksgiving..

Good Morning my dear brothers and sisters. For this week, I would like to set aside those normal prayers for the groups, you can do that on your own. Monday, our Leaders and military, Tuesday, Schools day, Wednesday, Salvation, Thursday, Families, and Friday, those who work the fields for Jesus. Why am I doing that? This week I would like to just list the prayer requests that come in, but mainly use the week for just saying thanks for what we have.

Also I want to invite all who live in the area to our Thanksgiving Eve service... 6.30 PM at the Bridges. It will be an anointing, and communion service. Let's get started.

Thanksgiving 1: Psalm 95:1 - Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before Him with Thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song. 3 For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. (NIV)

Folks, let me start out by saying that we can build long, long lists of what we are thankful for and that each one of them, EACH ONE OF THEM, God has His hands on. There is not one thing, not one thing that you have that is good that God did not have His hand on. If you think there is, please by all means take time to tell me. Today I am going to just tell you about a few of the things God has done for me that I am thankful for. These are not in any kind of order... except for the very, first one.

I am thankful for my Salvation through our Lord Jesus, who is the one and only one who can give you Salvation. Jesus was born to die! Think about it, we are born and we will all pass from this earth, and Jesus died for us so that we may live. Notice I did not say we will die. We will pass from this earth and have everlasting life. Now why in the world do you think God would send His One and only Son to die for us? Why? He made us and He loves us so much that He wants us back home with Him. Think about it... God gave us all free will, He turned us loose so to say, but He sent His Son to save us and then the Holy Spirit to comfort us. Think of our families. As our kids get older they leave the nest, ok, some we sort of had to push out. But don't we all like to see them coming home for a VISIT from time to time? And don't we all want to be together someday in the end? Folks, you are all my brothers and sisters, for God is our Father. I want to set a date with all of you... Some day when it is over here on earth, let's meet at the feet of Jesus and sing in the choir.

Folks, I just want to stop here for this day and direct you to read...
John 3: 16/17 and Romans 10: 9/10 and think about it. Let's pray...

Dear Father in Heaven, this week we are going to try and ask for nothing except that You forgive us of our sins and make us whole. Lord, this week we just want to say thank You for things and today we want to thank You for Jesus and for sending Him to us. How wonderful a Gift, You gave to us... Your Son. Thanks for Him... In His name I give those thanks, Amen.

Please remember, if you have a prayer request to send it and we need to keep up with that, but for the most part this is going to be Thanksgiving week. And remember one of the big things about Thanksgiving week is sharing your blessings. Thanks to all of you who have gifted us with Turkey slips at the Giant food stores, cases of food, carts that are being filled in churches. You are wonderful and we are so blessed, but however, all glory goes to God... Love ya, dan.
