Dear Father in Heaven: The last day of another year is upon us. Tonight many people, and a lot of them Christians, will give in to Satan's best drink, alcohol, and maybe even smoke pot and do other dumb stuff. I pray today that they will think about what is going into their bodies today and each day. I pray that You will watch over them and protect them in their stupid things they do. And Lord, thanks for watching over all of us when we do stupid things and sin and mes up. Help us to act and be in step with You. Lord, I love You and I pray that even on this last day of the year through this line some lost soul will be led in and confess their love for You. Please bring peace to the world tonight and into the new year. Please help me now with the daily message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray and also give praise for all you have done for me and those under this roof during this past year. I love You, Lord. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, as we leave 2015 and head into a new year, I want to thank all of you for your love and prayers and for standing by us as we struggled with health problems this past year. We thank you for praying over and over again for Matthew and ask that you keep him in your prayers. As we enter the new year, I plan on being at the keyboard at least five days a week. After so many years doing this, I really look for ways to keep the messages new and interesting. However, with that said, what I write now and forever, as long as our Lord God lets me do this, I am going to write about The Cross and about Salvation through Jesus on the Cross and write so that more and more people will join us at the Cross and then someday we can all get together in Heaven for a really big peaceful reunion with Jesus. That is what it is all about. Amen!!!
Once again I want to tell you all that I love you, I really do. More than that, I love Jesus. The message today that God is just now planting on me will be a message about dumping our burdens upon the Lord and then going into 2016 without picking them back up. Let me get to the message now.
Thursday: December 31, 2015: The Big Trip (Day Eighteen)
Galatians 6:1 - Brothers (sisters), if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him (her) gently. But watch yourself, or you may be tempted. 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (NIV)
We know that we are to give our burdens over to the Lord, so why then am I pointing this scripture out to you today? Well, first God pointed it out to me. So often once we are saved we can slip and trip and fall. Others who are saved, meaning spiritual, should be running to those who have messed up and try and pick them up and get them back on track. Most often what happens is one Christian will find something out about another person, saved or unsaved, and instead of helping them, they go and step on them and put them down even more. Now how does someone step on a person who is down? I feel the number one way is by gossip! You know it happens, and in large offices or break rooms that can be a breeding ground for this. I want to bring this out. If you mess up, and all of us do!! You only need to confess it to our LORD JESUS. The more people who find out you messed up, the more the gossip grows. Sometimes we must watch that our "best friend does not become our worst enemy."
Also in this scripture I want to pint out about this part. "But watch yourself, or you may be tempted." Let me say if you at one time had a real drinking problem, and through the power of Jesus Christ and you becoming saved, you have been cleaned of your problem. Then you hear of a brother or sister who is going to bars and drinking heavily and you want to help them kick the habit. One thing you must watch would be going into the bar to help them. This could bring on a pressure to you that you could not handle and you might slip and fall. I think you all understand that. We need to help each other, hold up each other and not stomp on them.
Psalm 38:4 - My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear. (NIV)
Here in this scripture we can see how sin can overwhelm people. Some to the pint that the guilt is too heavy for you to bear on your own. On this your answer is to get on your knees and go to prayer and give this over to God and talk it over with Him. You might need to do this over and over again. And if this is about maybe breaking a law of man, you might even need to unload that burden to the police. I want to bring this out, there is NO SIN BURDEN TOO BAD THAT GOD WILL NOT FORGIVE IT, EXCEPT DENYING CHRIST! Also no sin is that bad that one should take their own life.
Now look at this scripture.
Psalm 68:19 - Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior who daily bears our burdens. (NIV)
God will carry our burdens and trust me, He knows them before we get them. Even when we feel overwhelmed, He is already on-board helping we who are trusting Him to help us daily. Over the years I have wondered who those non-believers turn to when they are over-burdened. When a non-believer has a death in the family, who do they turn to? Many things have happened in my life, and I am learning more and more to lean on Jesus. More and more, as we grow older, we grow deeper and deeper in love with Jesus. Tomorrow we are going to talk about some "rest for the weary."
Tonight, go to God, not to a bar. No hanger in that!! Now let us lean on God.
Dear Father in Heaven, we need to learn to lean more and more on You each and every day. Please help us with that and help me to get the messages out about doing that. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth, counting your blessings from last year, serving Jesus and loving Him and praying for a wonderful and blessed by God new year. Love ya.

Leaning On The Everlasting Arms (Rev. E.A. Hoffman, A.J. Showalter)
What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms:
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms.
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.
Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms:
Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms.
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.
What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms?
I have blessed peace with my Lord to near
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms.
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms.
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.
