Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Please wash my sins away and please keep Your hands on me healing me to repent of sins. Please be with Robert and Gale and help work out their marriage. Please be with Danelle as she has surgery on Thursday. Please be with Jean and watch over her. Dear Lord, thank You so very much for neighbors that stand together and pray right in our driveways. Please keep protecting our homeland and thanks for blowing that missile out of the way. Lord, please protect all those in the flood areas, and please, Lord, put a stop to the riots in our country. Lord, also, please lead us to the lost so we can reach out to them to be saved. Lord, please help me now with the message and then help me to dispatch it. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: It is Wednesday, and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line, the day we pray for the lost and that God will use us to lead the lost to Jesus to be saved. Did you see the news of the missile that was headed for Israel? It was missed by two ground-to-air missiles from the "Dome of Protection" that Israel has. Then a gust of wind blew the missile out of the populated area. GOD IS GOOD!! With that said, we need to keep praying for our homeland. We also need to be praying for our Christian brothers and sisters all over the world as the killing of them is growing. Also pray for the riots to stop. Seems there was a problem between a black teen and he was shot to death by police. Now a lot of folks are breaking into buildings and stealing televisions, tires, and wheels, etc., and burning businesses, thinking this is the right thing to do. That is so wrong. You want to know why we do not have a lot of stores inside our big city limits, just watch the news on this. Please pray for Danelle (Lehman) Davis, our daughter, who is having surgery tomorrow for some female problems. Pray also for Jean who lives in a retirement home and now has stopped eating. Please pray that she is saved. Please pray for our nation and our President and our military. Now let me get to the message, Judging Others.
Salvation Wednesday: August 13, 2014, Judging Others (Day Two)
Matthew 7:3 - "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" 4 "How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plan in your own eye?" (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, I just love Salvation Wednesday, don't you? I just want to bring that up as it does blend into the message today. I ask this today of all of us, and I want you to note please that I said us, and that means not just you, but me also. You know our Lord Jesus spoke these words when He was walking the earth over in Israel, our homeland. Of course this is why I am asking for you to pray for Israel all the time for it indeed is our homeland, the place which was made by God and then where Jesus was born of a virgin mother. It is also the place where Jesus walked and talked, where He healed folks, and yes, of course, where He was put to death on the cross for us. It was also the place where He was risen from the dead, and also the area where He rose up into Heaven.
Now you know why I call it our homeland and ask for prayers.
So we see in the scripture of today that Jesus said: "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" So, brothers and sisters, I am asking all of us, including me, why do we do this? And what does it really mean? First of all, we all know that this is an example that Jesus used. What Jesus is asking all of us is why are we judging a man or woman of their sins, when we are also sinners and maybe our sins are more in number than the one we are talking about. Again, all of us are sinners, and while I have been taught a "sin is a sin is a sin," meaning whatever the sin is, it is not what the sin is, for they are just all sins in the eyes of the Lord. It is the number of sins. Once again I want to point out right now that we are instructed to love one another, and that means regardless of the sins of the others, but we are not to love or agree with their sins. In fact we are to help teach them to repent. Maybe this is a good time to bring out the gay marriage issue. I, like many others, and if you are indeed a Christian, you should hate the act of gay marriage, but we still should love those who are gay, but not the marriage, for that is the sin. We do not support the sin, we hate it, but we must love the sinner. Why? Well, because God loves us and we are sinners. By the way, being gay is not a sin, it is acting our or the action of the gay marriage that is the sin. I think you know where I am going on that. Will they get into heaven? Watch it now, here is where we are not to be judging. In other words, clean your own plate before you talk to others about theirs. God will judge all of us. Let's look at the next verse of our scripture for today.
Matthew 7:4 - "How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?"
So how can we do this? This is a very simple answer. WE CAN'T! While we think we can, we just cannot, so why do we even try? There is an answer for this, but sorry, folks, you need to come back tomorrow to find this out, as I have gone on long enough for today. Time to say:
Go forth now and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on that love.
