Wed. April 4, 2012 Signs of the End 2

Then He said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places and fearful events and great signs from Heaven. But before all this they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons and you will be brought before kings and governors and all on account of my name."

Dear brothers and sisters, it is a beautiful Salvation Wednesday here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Salvation Wednesday and the day we pray for the unsaved, those only born once, and for God to use we sinners who are saved and born twice, to help bring the once born in to be born again so they also may be born twice. Remember we cannot save anyone, we can only bring them in.

Please pray for my wife Dolores, some of you know this, but most do not. Yesterday morning I called an ambulance to take Dolores to the hospital, she was burning up all over, a tad confused, and could not put any weight on that right knee, and that was really hot to the touch.

She has been admitted to the Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill Pa. and is being given lots of tests. I will tell you all I know, but it is not much. She does have an infection, they are not sure where it is coming from but the guess is that new knee. She does not have a blood clot (praise God), but it is beginning to look like the right knee has failed again. I will keep you updated.

Tomorrow is Maundy Thursday, so as I talk to you about that "last supper" we will have communion. Come to the computer prepared to take communion with God and me.

Praise report, my Aunt Romaine came though her surgery for that pacemaker update and was sent home the same day. I am not real sure of her age, but I am thinking mid-nineties. Please keep praying for the others on our prayer list, remember Paula who had a fall out of her car (it was parked),  and also keep praying for Pastor Larry.

So folks, let's take a look at the scripture and see if some of these things are going on today. Nation will rise against nation! Well, I guess it is happening, and we, the United States of America, are and have been involved in many of them. There will be great earthquakes. Well, I guess some of those are not in the areas where they most often happen. I just heard of a 9. something someplace, but yes, the earth is quaking. Famines, do we have hungry folks in this world, yes, we see the ads of those kids that seem to be skin and bones, but wait you only need to look in your neighborhood to find people who are hungry, which is why we started a food pantry years ago. Now one more, how about those pestilences? Just a couple of years ago, we had a new bug show up, and it is called the stink bug. And they have friends. Last Christmas we got embarrassed when at the bottom of a box of stuffed animals that we had taken to a day school to give out, reached the bottom and there was a stink bug. One little boy saw it and said, wow a stinky. So those new things are coming and it is all in the Bible. Yes, you can pick up a stink bug and say it is in the Bible... (and depending where your Bible was laying that day, one real one just might come out).

But before all of this happens we will be persecuted because of Jesus. And folks, that has been going on for a long long time... Brothers and sisters, get ready and get helping others, do not spend time on trying to figure out His return, just go to work for Him.

Dear Father in heaven, forgive me of my sins, dear Lord, I am just an old sinner that messes up from time to time. Dear Lord, take care of Dolores for me. And Lord, please honor our other requests, all of them, even the one for Dolores, according to Your will and not mine. Help us to get Your Word to the people so they can be saved by You, Jesus, and I do pray in Your name, Jesus. Amen.
