Good Friday 2012

Luke 23:32 - Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with Him to be executed. 33 When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified Him, along with the criminals, one on His right, the other on His left. 34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are dong." And they divided up His clothes by casting lots. ------- 39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at Him. "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" 40 But the other criminal rebuked Him. "Don't you fear God," he said. "Since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom." 41 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." (NIV)

Good, Good Friday, my dear brothers and sisters. This Friday we are going to center our Prayers on all of us, for I think all of us need to go to the cross today, on our knees, my friends, to pray and thank Jesus, and we need to do this on our own. New on the prayer list today, "Sharon." This Sharon is from Ohio (we have several Sharons on the line). Sharon had a stroke and now has pneumonia. Please keep praying for Pastor Larry as he recovers from his heart issues. Also pray for Jen Sterling, for health and other issues. An update on Dolores, she is still in the Holy Spirit Hospital, with a bad infection in her right knee that was replaced for the third time. I will keep you updated.

Good Friday 2012: Please, please take time to get your Bible out and read from Luke 22:47 through the end of chapter 23: I just cannot type all of that out for you.
I did use the examples of these two criminals on the cross and what happened to them. One denied Jesus, and the other stood up for Jesus and asked to be remembered, and Jesus did more than that, He took him to Heaven that same day. "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." What I am saying here and I am not going to labor the point today, we know Jesus was spit on, cursed at, beaten and had thorns on His head, beside giving His life for us on that old rugged cross. Like those criminals on the cross we have a choice, this is but another example that Jesus is giving to us. What is the example, Come to Me, and I will take you to heaven.

John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)

Romans 10: 9 - That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (NIV)

We have had warning after warning, after warning, you might not get that last chance close call like the criminal, the one who went to heaven, who almost "missed his ride home." You need to get this done today... He was beaten for us. He died for us, and now it is up to us to make the next move... Come on, let's go to Jesus right now, come with me, I will lead the way for you to His feet right now.

Dear Father in Heaven, we are sinners, I am a sinner and I need cleaned and helped with repenting of my sins. Jesus, I am coming to You right now, I pray others are coming with me, some to be washed again, and some first timers. Hear our cries to be cleaned and saved, dear Lord, for we do believe in You, Jesus... Help us, and Lord, please help those on the prayer lists today. In Jesus' name, and all honor and glory and power is to JESUS.    AMEN.

Now go forth and have a good day, and it should be called Good Friday, Good for us, not so good for Jesus. Now share those blessings and have a great weekend... Love ya,  Pastor Dan.

And if you are in the area of the Bridges, we are singing at 2.00 PM today.
Sunday Morning Sonrise service at Bethel United Methodist Church, Route 850 out of Marysville Pa. I will be preaching at the 6.30 AM service and then at the 10:00 AM Service at the Bridges... you are welcome...
