April 8, 2011 I Don't Know You! 5
"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to." Good Friday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. We are having a nice rain this morning, and we thank God for that, for we will soon be having those May flowers and the trees will be bursting in all their glory. PRAISE GOD FOR NEW BIRTH!! Dear Father in Heaven, Again I just want to start the message by talking to You. So often I wait till then end of the message and wrap it up asking for You to do a lot of things. Well, Father, I want to change the layout just a tad and open with the prayer and just thank You for things... Thanks, Lord, for those healings You already have taken care of in our very own bodies while we did not even know we were sick. Thanks for waking us this morning and giving me something to eat. And thank You, Lord, after all these years You and You alone are still putting words on my mind to write... All honor and glory to You this day, Lord, for indeed this is the day that You, and only You have made. In the name of Jesus, it has been an honor to just talk to You, dear Father... Amen. That Big trip, week 16, Day 5: Luke 13:24 - "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to." (NIV) So, dear brothers and sisters, how wide is that narrow door, and just how strict do you think Jesus will be on Judgment day? Ok, how wide is the narrow door? Is it small enough to keep out Satan and his workers and wide enough to let in Jesus and those who follow and truly love Him? And remember when you arrive you might need to strip because you came into the world with nothing. Just kidding on that one, folks, as you know we are working on a parable, or an example that Jesus used to teach us. But the first line is fact, it is small enough to keep out Satan and his workers, and wide enough to let you in, if, if, IF, Jesus knows you in advance. Now that second part of the question. Just how strict will Jesus be on Judgment day? I think He is going to go by what He has been telling us each and every day. I do not think we need to be surprised, I think we all know what that answer will be... But for a quick review let me go to the book of John. John 3:3 - "I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again." (Jesus) John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (Jesus) John 14:6 - "I am the way, and the truth, and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father except through me." (Jesus) Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrated His own love for us in this. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 10:9/10 - If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Mark 12:30/31 - "Love The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this; Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater then these" (Jesus) And one last one for today... And look hard at this one... Mark 16:15 - "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." (Jesus) Now go forth and carry out the scriptures lined up for you and let your Jesus light shine. People should be able to see that you are born again just by the way you carry yourself... And remember these two things that I tell you each day... Share your blessings and I love ya. Pastor Dan.
