April 1, 2011 Are You A Good Guy? 5

"Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert in the law replied "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise." Good Friday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. I was going to start with an April Fool Joke this morning, but when you are writing for the Lord and writing about Salvation and also being a good neighbor, I just could not find a joke in it today. So watch yourself, guys and girls, please check yourself out before leaving home today. Double check those shoe laces, and men, check your zipper for for sure someone will tell you before the day is over, "Your fly is open." Yes we have heard them all, but there is no joke about the six inches of snow that fell on our driveway. Thanks again to Mr. Neil Enloe for guest writing for me yesterday. I had one gentlemen even call me from South Carolina last evening to tell me just how good it was and how he liked it. Blessings, Neil. Please pray today again for Kathleen Sansoni who has cancer, a lot of cancer in her body. And pray for Tom, her husband, as he stands by his beautiful bride. Friday is the day we pray for all those who are working for our Lord in the fields of Harvest. Pray for your pastors, and pray for Dolores and me and pray please for Wayne who is the director at Sonshine Ministries, he has been very sick, for a long time. Are You A Good Guy (Girl)? 5 Luke 10:36 - "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" 37 The expert in the law replied "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise." (NIV) Folks, in wrapping this parable up today I want to just tell you how easy it is to be a Good Samaritan, if you just do one thing. Follow those two great commandments. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind. And love your neighbors as yourself. So, folks, if you really do love God and love your neighbors you will indeed be a good Samaritan and it will come as natural as, well, tying your shoes. Brothers and Sisters, after all these years of writing I close most every day about the same way... Someplace in the closing I ask, or even tell you to share your blessings and I tell you that I love you. I am very serious when saying about sharing your blessings and yes, folks I really do love you very much. Folks, if you share your blessings or share God's love, for that is sharing your blessings, since your blessings come from God, and if you truly love others, if you can put your arm around a man or woman regardless of your sex and hug them and tell them you love them, then you are a Good Samaritan. You do not need to find someone who was in an accident or robbed or beaten up. Just love God and your neighbor and that is all that God really expects of you, for those two great commandments really do COVER IT ALL... Amen. Sometimes we want to make it seem hard, when it really is not, God sent His Son, His Son died for us, we just need to accept it and love God and all of His children, for indeed all of God's children are our neighbors. Amen. Dear Father in Heaven, teach us all to love, first to Love You and then to Love others and teach us to share our blessings that all come from You and to help us share Your word. In the name of Jesus I ask that You heal Kathleen according to Your will for her... in the name of Jesus, Amen. Now go forth and share your blessings, and love others... and remember this, I love ya... Pastor Dan.
