"Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near."
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and welcome to family day on The Carry The Light Ministries prayer and message line. Prayers today for families and let us keep the Saylor family on the list along with the Idlers, and prayers also for Vicki and her family, for the Campbell family and prayers for Ronald Leibfried... Ronald is in Health South Rehab and with hospice. His wife reports he is very, very sick with a lot of cancer and also a liver that is shutting down. Also today let us pray for each other's families.
Building Bridges 4: Yesterday I talked about how we build bridges and at the same time we also take some of them down. I mentioned about how we build our bridges with love as we should but we also take some of them down with gossip. What about when we are building a bridge to get into heaven and we start taking it back down? Can that be done? I think so, and while the Bible does tell us that once Jesus has us He will not let us go, I think that while we are building the bridge we can be taking it apart at the same time. Let's say we are building a bridge with a deck of steel. We put in two supports and then take one out. We put in a couple more and take a couple out. How do we do it and why? The first part is easy, we are taking down our bridge to heaven as we build it because of sin. We pray to our Lord God to be forgiven of our sins and we indeed our forgive we put in some posts for our bridge to heaven, and then we sin again and take some out. So in short it is sin that takes our bridge apart. Why does this happen, it is because we are weak and we try and do things on our own and sure enough when we go out on our own, we sin. So how do we correct this bridge building and wrecking? We repent and confess...
From Matthew 4: 17 - From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." (NIV)
Notice here Jesus is not saying if you have time or if you care to, please repent. No, not our Jesus, He is just telling us to REPENT... and why He is telling us this? FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS NEAR. Again this is another commandment of our Lord. Some seem to think there are twelve commandments, but the truth is there are many, many more than twelve. I have told you before the first commandment came in the garden when He told Adam and Eve not to eat from that one tree.
Tomorrow the real good news about building bridges... and how we must build the bridge to heaven, or, or, is there another answer? Oh, you are catching on, yes indeed the Bridge is already in place. Tomorrow we just go and look at it. Who built The Bridge? We know Noah built the Ark, but who built The Bridge to heaven?
Dear Father in Heaven, it is family day, and today I pray first for the family of God, Your family, Father, that we all need to 100% in with You. Help us to repent, Lord I ask this often and I am asking today, Lord we need to walk tight with You. We need to walk in your light, and we need to lean on You. Lord please, bless the Saylor family and the Idler family and the Campbell family and yes, our family in the White House, and the families in the State Houses and Lord, bless the families that use this line. Lord, please touch those families that struggle keeping the family together. Lord, I pray for our family at The Bridges and Lord, I ask blessings on the families that come to our food pantry and ask that You keep filling the shelves. Thanks Lord for the bread of yesterday. Lord, I love You, and want to thank You for this line. In the name of Jesus, I pray ... Amen.
Men, lead your family under God of course... Ladies, pick it up if the men do not do their job... Parents, learn to share your blessings and teach them to your children... When school starts if you are packing for your children, find out if there are kids with no lunch and put an extra serving in your kids lunch bag for someone else... Share, share and share and God will bless, bless and bless even more. Love ya, dan.
