Monday: Lost Things

Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one!

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Monday and the day we pray for our leaders, our veterans, our current military, our police and our firefighters and all those who work so hard to keep us safe and/or free. Please pray today for the families of all those lost in wars, and in military training, and those families of police who have been gunned down on our streets, and for the families of firefighters who have given their lives in service including the two who died just yesterday in the wild fires of California. Please pray also today for Oliver Ogden who was taken to the hospital over the weekend. Oliver is home but the problem has not been located yet. I am praying that God was in there first and already did all the healing. Please pray for Tom and Kathleen Sansoni. Kathleen has cancer. Tom is working with a prison ministry. Also please pray for jobs for Mark and LeaAnn, pray God will put them where they can truly work for Him. Also pray for Sue and Gina, the reasons here I must keep to myself, just trust me and pray.

Lost Things 1: One day when I was just a lad, yes, back when the streets were still dirt, my mother gave me two dimes, one for Sunday School and one to spend on myself. On the way to Sunday School I was flipping a dime in the air and it hit the ground and rolled down a storm sewer. My thinking back then was "darn it, God's dime just went down the drain." Since that time I have even seen that one in joke books.

Luke 15: 8 - "Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?" 9 "And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.'" (NIV)

As I get older in life I find myself losing more and more things and I find myself spending hours upon hours looking for these things. Car keys, my wallet, tools, a screwdriver or my ratchet wrench, or my big breaker bar. About the only thing that I keep losing and find right away is the hair on my head, for it is on the hair brush. I think you get the picture here and I am not making this up. I have looked for hours for my keys to the car and find them in some very dumb places. And when I find them I rejoice and call out to Dolores I found them, praise the Lord. I rejoice in finding lost things, I really do, and maybe that is why I enjoy so much working for our Lord Jesus. Yes, we who work for Jesus and are really doing what He wants us to do in this work know the bottom line is we are looking for the lost so we can lead them to Jesus. Here is just one place in the Bible where we find the orders from God... Jesus was talking to then His eleven disciples, but now through those same words He is talking to all of us for we indeed need to be disciples of His...

Matthew 28: 18 - Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. and surely I am with you always to the very end of the age." (NIV)

Do you see where Jesus is telling us to do this, not just pastors, but all of us, and we are to be baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. If a lost coin is so important to be used as a Parable by our Lord Jesus, just think how He feels about His lost children. Tomorrow more on this subject. Folks I am trying to keep messages shorter and that is why I am asking God to give it to me in series.

Dear Father in Heaven, please before we even pray about anything else, I ask that You wash us free of our stains of sins, even those that just came overnight in our thinking. Lord, then put us on course to seek out the lost and by doing that, Lord, help us to look deep into our own heart and soul to be sure that we are not one of the Lost. Lord, please keep us tight to your breast. And Lord, today I pray for our leaders and all the others on our prayer list. Lord, heal my friend Oliver and Lord, please, please help Mark and LeaAnne with jobs, open doors this day and let them walk in, in Your name, Jesus. Father in Heaven, be with those families who have lost loved ones regardless of how they were lost, and thanks, Lord, for those who gave their lives in the military, in police service and in fire service and also those who lost their lives in service for You. Bless their families Lord. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Go forth sharing and sharing and sharing and do it in faith and stand tight with God as He just floods you with more blessings... God is good... love ya, dan.

Friday: Blessings 5

"Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who wash their robes!"

Good Friday Morning, my Dear Brothers and Sisters. It is Friday and as RJ Harris tells all on Friday Morning, it is Blessed Friday, and that my friends is a fact. Friday and the day we pray for all those going to work in the fields of Harvest for our Lord Jesus. And please as you pray for God's workers look past your pastor and into all who work for the church, and yes I have said this before and I am going to say it again and again, WE ALL NEED TO BE ON THIS PRAYER LIST...

Ongoing prayer list: Anna Troutman, Don Saylor and his family, Pastor Charles Idler and his wife Katherine, Vicki, those in our military.

Thanks for all those who wrote in a blessing list yesterday. I was starting to believe that no one was reading the messages. However, I must tell you that I write them because God has directed me to do them, and as long as he tells me to write, I will keep honoring Him by trying to do my best in what He wants me to do.

I must tell you this, I have been accepted into our Pennsylvania State Police Academy and will be starting school in Hershey Pennsylvania at the Academy on Tuesday September 8th and runs for seven weeks on Tuesday evenings. No, at 68 I am not going to be a State Trooper. I will be attending a citizen school about our wonderful police unit. Why would I do this? I have been praying about being able to work with the police, state or local, as a Chaplain and this just might be God opening a door. Pray about this for me. You see I have been blessed again.

Blessings 5: Revelation 22: 7 - "Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book." Revelation 22: 12 - "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done." Revelation 22: 14 - "Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city." 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (NIV)

Did you ever have a really bad day, one that seem to start bad and go downhill from there? Of course you have! Some people seem to think that we who love and follow Jesus do not have bad days or should not have bad days, but that is not a fact. This is a fact, even on our very worst days we are still blessed, because we have Jesus and He will see us through all of them. On our very worst days we still have those blessings that most have sent into me. Jesus, family, friends, food on the table, a roof over our heads. Brothers and sisters, counting our blessings on a good day is easy, it is counting them on a bad day that we really need to do. I had to remember that yesterday as it took one of those kind of starts. A very dear friend of ours lost her job, and we got that call early. The person was crushed, and we really could feel their pain. Please pray for this person, and yes, I am holding back the name for now. This person loves Jesus above all else and I am sure God will open another door that is much better.

As people who love Jesus, love family and friends, we do indeed feel the pain and hurt of others, and truly want to help carry their burdens, and indeed we should do that. We all need to turn to Jesus daily, on good days and bad, and give Him our burdens daily, and as Christians we need to help others with their burdens. Listen to this brothers and sisters... It is hard sometimes but we need to help others, and NOT JUST our family and friends, we need to help those who hate us also. Yes we need to love our enemies.

What is our greatest blessing, or our greatest blessings? Of course we think of food, or I do anyway, and we think of water and air and clothes. We think of family, friends, our pets, our home and wow, I really like cars and trucks. In my opinion our best, our very best blessing is this, it is the forgiveness of our sins. Yes, our best blessing Jesus died to give us. Listen to this and learn from this example. On our Lord and Savior's very worst day, a day when He was beaten, spit on, cursed at, mocked, nailed to a cross, had thorns put on His head, and was stabbed in the side, we received our very best blessing... FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS. Amazing Grace, and it is truly amazing...

Now I want to close this way today. When we, and we again means you and me, when we are having a really bad day, a really bad day, let us try our hardest to do this and it will be very hard to do. On our very worst days, let us try and be a blessing to someone else. Put aside our problems even for just a minute and help someone else. I am very serious about this, and I am looking at this as an example from Jesus. He is placing this on my heart, and I never looked at it this way before. When Jesus was dying on the cross, we were receiving and still receive our very best blessing. Salvation through Jesus, forgiveness of our sins... So again and this is worth repeating... On our very worst days, or even just bad days, let us rejoice in knowing what Jesus did for us on His worst day and really bless someone else. Use it for good, and besides being blessed over and over for doing it, because that is the way Jesus works... It sure will make Satan mad. AMEN

Dear Father in Heaven, Our best blessing came to us on Your worst day. Thanks Jesus, let us today be blessed again by asking You to once again Wash our robes, clean us of our sins, forgive us. That is all I am asking today for us, just that, for even on a day when we pray for those going into the fields of harvest, Your best blessing to us is just washing us in Your Blood. Lord, I am claiming the victory of You on the Cross today. Thanks for dying for me. Forgive me, Lord, for sinning against You. In the name of Jesus I pray... Amen.

Now go forth and share those blessings... share and share and share... and brothers and sisters, if today you go to your food pantry and have just one can of something in that pantry, give it to someone and then watch what God does for you... Blessings will come... Love ya, Dan.

PS. If you have just one can of food on that shelf, after you give it away... call this number
717 691 8200 or 717 991 0754 to get some of God's blessings through the hands of others...

Thursday: Blessings 4

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is 1:30 AM and I am having one of my I can't sleep nights. I want you all to know that if you go past our home at 16 Dewalt Drive you will not find my flag at half staff as ordered by our President due to the death of Senator Kennedy. You will notice that our American Flag is flying high with the Christian flag flying even higher... "One Nation UNDER GOD". As for us not lowering the flag as ordered by our President, I WILL NOT LOWER THE FLAG FOR ANYONE who supported abortion and gay marriages. I must take a stand. Our brave men and women of our military fought so I can fly my flag, and my Lord Jesus died on the cross so I can fly that one. Believe it or not, I have not been questioned about it for a long, long time. "One Nation UNDER GOD"

It is Thursday and that means it is family day on this line. Please pray for the family of God and that it grows and grows and grows. And yes, please pray for the Kennedy family in their loss. Pray for the Saylor family, Vicki and her family, our family at the Bridges and this online family. Also pray for your family and mine.

Blessings 4: James 1: 12 - Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (NIV)

When I started writing about blessings this week I expected to hear from a lot of you about your blessings. According to what I have received, I could cut my mailing list from over 400 to about 10. The fact is we are all blessed, and I could tell about the air we breath, the clothes we wear and all those really neat things, and I did touch on that, but it is all the other blessings we receive...

Like this one! Yesterday, Wednesday. I was blessed to be out in concert with Dolores, and our ministry partner, Pamela Bower, and our trusty little Yorkshire Martin Martin Lehman. But the real blessing was I got to sing to my last remaining Aunt who resides where we sang. And she looked wonderful. I was so blessed to get a hug and she smiled as we sang and was even singing along on some of the songs. When I was but a little guy (and trust me, the streets were dirt by her home), I would go to see my Uncle Lester and Aunt Romaine along with my cousins John and Martha. I was blessed then and you know in my eyes she is just a pretty as back then. She was and still is a very kind and gentle lady as was my mother and when I looked into her eyes I could see her love of Jesus. Am I blessed, you can count on it.

Folks, you notice how we are told over and over again how we are blessed by our Lord when we persevere when others try and take us down for loving Jesus. You know we are so blessed, and WE HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING YET. When Jesus comes and takes us home we will find out what real blessings are. Listen to these words and REJOICE in them.

James 1: 2 - Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV)

And brothers and sisters, if you do want things here on earth, try asking God for them. No, not the lottery, but again let me go to the Bible, staying in the book of James.

James 1: 5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, HE MUST BELIEVE AND NOT DOUBT, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord. (NIV)

As in all things when talking to the Lord we must have faith, we must believe and not doubt. If we pray for someone to be healed, please expect it to happen. I pray for a lot of people to be healed and I believe in my heart and in my soul that Jesus will heal them. I pray each day for Jesus to take away the pain that Dolores carries and for that matter the pain I have, I EXPECT THAT JESUS WILL HEAL US BOTH. I pray for Pastor Charles Idler (stroke) to get up and walk and preach again. I pray for him to be healed and I believe it will happen. If you do not have faith that God is going to hear your prayers and answer them, then why pray? And folks, if God does not answer your prayer the way you want it answered, keep praying. Remember the bottom line, THY will be done. Have faith, God still answers prayer, He is still in control, and He still loves you and me. And brothers and sisters, can a blessing get any better than having Jesus love us? Come on Christians, WAKE UP, Jesus is coming back...

Dear Father in Heaven, THANK YOU for Jesus! Jesus. please head up my family. and I am praying right now that many people will pray this in faith today. Jesus, please head up my family. Heal those on our sick list, and thanks for the many blessings that we receive each and every day. And Lord, help us to share our blessings. In Jesus name, Amen.

A quote from Pastor Dr. Richard Denison, "we are blessed to be a blessing", and folks, from little old me... "Please share your blessings, love ya dan".

Wednesday: Blessings 3

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and welcome to SALVATION Wednesday. Oh yes, Mid-Week prayers for the unsaved and for we who are saved to help bring in the lost. Folks, this is not just a request from me for you to help with this, it is a COMMANDMENT from our Lord Jesus. Mark 16: 15/16 - 15 - Hi (Jesus) said to them (His disciples which we are if we love Jesus) "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be SAVED, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." (NIV)

Prayers also today for Pastor Tony Mayeski and his dear wife Ruby. Pastor Tony has trouble seeing and is "slowing down". He is truly a pastor's pastor, one who a pastor can sit down and talk to and pray with. Believe it or not, pastors need lots of prayer and other pastors to talk to and share with. Please also pray for Pastors Larry Hale, Kevin Brown and Rich Cline, also pastors that I can sit down and talk to. For Pastors Larry, Kevin and Rich, they are in good health as far as I know, I just want to flood God with prayers for them. Pray today for the Kennedy family in the death of Senator Ted, and pray for a believer in life will get appointed to his seat in the Senate.

Did you see the news today, beer companies are making beer in cans with college names on them. Are schools of higher education just a big place to drink? Our beloved Penn State is the number one college in the nation. Oh, I left this out, it is the number one PARTY college in the nation. Think about it, most all on the campuses of our schools of higher education are underage to drink.

Blessings 3: Romans 12: 14 - Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. (NIV)
Romans 12: 17 - Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. (NIV)
Romans 12: 26 - "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. (NIV)
Romans 12: 21 - Do not be overcome by evil, BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD.

Brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters, loving your enemies and those who curse you might be the very hardest thing that we are commanded to do by our Lord Jesus. But brothers and sisters, if we do not do this we are really not showing love for your Lord Jesus. As a child I was taught by my loving mamma and dad that I needed to do this and also anything that we did was a reflection on them. Listen to those words again from my parents. "anything that I would do would be a reflection on them." If I showed love, others would see it, if I showed hate, others would see it. If I were to curse and others would hear it they would think and even say to each other, "did you learn that at home." Yes brothers and sisters, how we act is a refection on our upbringing and how our children act is a refection on us. Even if you raised your children correctly and they go wrong, it is a reflection on us. So let me plant this in your mind today... We go out and tell everyone that we are Christians, and then we are heard cursing or we are out drinking and getting drunk, people will look at us and say to each other, "if that is how a Christian lives, I surely do not want to be like that."

Now I want you to really think about that. We are to witness for our Lord Jesus and there is no place in the Bible that I find we can take a day off from being a good witness. Even on the day of rest, a day our Lord set aside for us to rest up our bodies, it does not free us from being a good witness. How many people go to church on Sunday morning and then after church drive like a NUT on the highways? Have you ever been cut off in traffic by someone with a Jesus bumper sticker? And yes, even being a Christian I will think or say to Dolores if she is with me, look at that person, they claim to love God but show no respect to others on the road. AND IF YOU are not showing respect to others you for sure are NOT SHOWING RESPECT FOR JESUS. Just the other day I took a few people to a viewing. In the car one dropped the "F" bomb and another cursed using the name of the Lord. Both said they were sorry to me, but what about Jesus? It is He who hears ALL we say and SEES all we do.

Folks, to get back to the message about blessings, it is maybe the hardest things our Lord wants us to do and that is to bless those who really hate or dislike us, those who curse us, those who gossip about us. And brothers and sisters, we need to really work at giving them nothing but good to say about us, but we do slip once in a while and that is what those who hate us will pick up on... OR they will go back to before you were saved and changed and try and bring up your past and throw it in your face. God has forgiven you, but others will bring it up. I have heard many a person say this about me... "I remember him from way back" or "I remember his past." And then, and most of them say they are Christians, they start to tell the others about my past. Oh it sure would have been nice if I would have listened to my parents and the way I acted sometimes after I left the homestead would not please them and was a reflection on them. But think about our Lord, please, please, when you are about to do things, run it through your mind and say this to yourself, will this please God? And if it pleases God, that should be good enough for all others. So today please, please BLESS OTHERS BY loving them and by doing things that will please God. If someone curses you, and you hear it, say this to them... "I am going to pray for you today," and then do it. Then consider doing this, send a hand written note to them that might read like this... If I offended you in the past, I am sorry, if I have upset you, I am sorry, I truly am. And be sincere about it for most people can see through someone who is not sincere and for sure God can see through it. How many people have said to Jesus "I love You" when they really do not?

Dear Father in Heaven, help us to love those who hate us, who gossip about us, and try to destroy us just because we love You. Help us to grow deeper and deeper in love with You and to help bring those who spit out evil to come to You. Lord, most of all keep us from going to them, for Satan would just love that. Protect us this day and all the days to come. Lord, bless pastors Tony, Ruby, Larry, Kevin and Rich today and let them know that they are truly loved. Lord, heal up Pastor Tony so he can still be teaching and preaching. And Lord please, please heal his eyesight so he can see the words of Yours in his Bible. Lord, how these folks love You. Lord, be with Don Saylor and his family and with Vicki and her family and Lord, be with Leslie and her family. Lord, help us in concert today and please Lord touch my dear Aunt Romaine so that she can understand things again and hear us today as we sing for You, for others and for her. Lord, thanks for protecting this line, and I ask that You keep blessing us with that protection.. Lord, how we love You, and Lord, help us to to live so that it reflects good on You and let me ask for a clean slate today to get that started. Yes Lord, forgive me of my sins today for I know that I am a sinner saved only by Your wonderful grace. Help us this day to work Your fields of Harvest bringing in the lost to Your feet to be saved. Lord, we know we can save no one, but we want to work for You, from dawn to our own setting sun, work for You until You call us home. In the name of Jesus, I pray... Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings, and brothers and sisters, I ask you this today... Please share your blessings with someone you know who does not like you, or someone who has put you down. Bless a neighbor with some home grown veggies or something you made, maybe a neighbor who does not talk to you or does not talk to you very much.. Take a bottle of water to someone at work or at your break area. Carry an extra bottle of water with you at all times, rotate them so it is fresh, and give it away. Offer it to someone at break. Do it like this. Before you open yours, offer your bottle to another, if they say no, tell them you have an extra. Share those blessings and reflect good today on God for if you share in faith, He will bless you even more... love ya, dan.

Tuesday: Blessings 2

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want."

Good Tuesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is schools day on this line, and let me say thank you for praying for the Central Dauphin School District and their bus drivers. Their jobs are secure for right now. Please keep praying and pray for all schools and all who enter the doors and remember those who work for the schools and do not go in or go in very often. Who are they? Well, the bus drivers and the crossing guards and a lot of time the school docs who go to the sporting events and take care of the kids, but do not often get into the buildings except for those group exams.

Blessings 2: Psalm 23: 1 - The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want. (NIV)
Each year we plant a small garden, we plant flowers around our Rock of Hope, and also a few tomato plants. This year we also planted string beans and three kinds of squash. I just love squash. I still find it amazing how God works these things. One small seed from a tomato and you get a little plant and you put the plant in your garden and up comes a big plant and lots and lots of good tomatoes. We planted about eight tomato plants and all are doing good, plus I have another eight or nine plants coming up wild, for I toss my spoiled tomatoes on the ground and they grow up wild each year. It is amazing to me. A small seed from a veggie or flower just grows and grows and grows. It reminds me of this story... and it comes from the Bible, Mark 6: 30/44. It is the story of how Jesus fed five thousand people with just 5 loaves and 2 fish... Now I could type out the story, but today I want to put it in my words, what it might have been like sitting with Jesus... Come with me please.

We are sitting on the ground waiting to hear our Lord Jesus speak. We are way out in the boondocks and we are far away from any McDonalds or Burger King. We are waiting for our King... Then Jesus comes and we hear Him talk about Heaven and how we must live to make it to Heaven. We here Him say "REPENT for the Kingdom of Heaven is near." We listen, but like all of us do in church from time to time on Sunday Morning our minds wander off to lunch, that big old buffet. The ham, steak, burgers, chicken, and fish; the veggies, hot and cold, soups, salads and all the desserts you could eat. So our minds are wandering as we are hearing Jesus... We start to think about food, and we are far, far away from those places to eat. There is not even a hot dog truck in the area, none, zip. Then Jesus said, I know you are hungry and we have here two fish and five loaves of bread. Jesus prays over it and blesses it and then He stands and divides it and sends out his staff with it. Oh my, mine tasted like fresh trout, and the bread was so sweet that it did not even need butter...

When all of us were done eating we helped gather up the leftovers. Twelve baskets were gathered just like the Bible said, and we took the leftovers along and gave them to a mission for the homeless. Brothers and sisters, if you don't think that happens today you are so wrong. Think of the millions of people that GOD FEEDS DAILY. Oh, and the helpers, well they are getting less and less, and I am talking the farmers here. Yes, GOD STILL MULTIPLIES the food. From the little tomato seed in my garden to all the tomatoes I can use and even give away. Yesterday I made sauce, for just eating... I had meat balls in it, and fresh squash, fresh tomatoes, fresh celery. And it was and will be so good. Count your blessings, folks, and share them and what God make them grow... Folks, if God was not in your garden, your garden would not grow. If God did not multiply our food supply, we would all STARVE. Next time you eat out, only take what you can eat. And the next time you go to the food store, buy a few extra cans and give them away. Think about it... I know we are. Our food pantry is growing each year, we help more and more families thanks TO GOD and a lot of His workers, and we have leftovers... God is good, don't ever forget it.

I hear some people who complain all the time, we need to get those people counting their blessings, and not the things that are wrong. Yesterday I heard from one on the line, her name is Leslie and she is a wonderful God fearing lady. She loves Jesus and her family... Oh did I say that she is a farmer's wife and they milk about 2,300 head of cattle three times a day... and I love milk. She also told me yesterday that she needs to count her blessings more often as they make us really think how many more blessings we have than things we have going wrong. Hey, things are going to go wrong here on earth, but if we keep looking at our blessings and at our Lord Jesus, you know, we really do have it pretty darn good. WAKE UP AMERICA, GOD IS REALLY ALIVE AND WELL. I just wish all those non-believers would learn this. God is going to supply your meals, enjoy them and know that they do come from God. How could anyone think differently? When you find a non-believer, take your lunch and share it with them, and do like Jesus did... feed His sheep. Remember this... the non-believer is still a child of God, they are just not willing to admit it yet and that is our job to get the message out. AMEN.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for the really big plate of tomatoes and the mayo that I had on them last night, they were so good. Thanks for supply our food, and Lord, thanks for the next breath of air. I want You to know, Lord, that I would give that next breath of air up for You, because I love You Lord and I know You gave up your air for us. Be in our schools and school buses Lord. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

Blessings, yes, we have them, and we need to share them. Trade veggies with your neighbors. Give some away... put some up for winter. Oh, God is so good. Time to go, I have blessings to share and I am going to do it! You have blessings also, are you going to share yours? Love ya, dan.

Monday: Blessings 1

"Go forth and share your Blessings."

Once in a while I write letters to the newspaper, today one was printed in the Patriot-News. It's copied below.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. And this week we are not just going to list prayer requests; we are also going to be praising God for our many, many blessings that He gives us daily. And folks, I want to hear from you about your blessings. How have you been blessed and how are you being blessed today, and what might you expect tomorrow? Today is Monday and the day we pray for our leaders, all of them, folks, even if we do not like them, we need to love them and pray for them And also for all those who work so hard to keep us safe (police, firefighters, etc.) and free (military, and of course our Lord Jesus). Also, please pray for Anna Troutman, for Lillian Martin, for Vicki and for the Saylor family.

ALSO REMEMBER Schools are opening, watch out for those big yellow buses and kids running near them. When you see a school bus, pray for it's cargo and operator.

Blessings 1: Genesis 12: 1 - The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people, and your father's household and go to the land I will show you." 2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (NIV)

Folks, when you look over this scripture what does it really say? What is it telling us? Yes, it is history, but what is it really telling you today? While we could look at the history of this today, I want to look at what God is telling us through this.

Here we find God talking to Abram, and folks, let's start right here. God talks to us today, He really does, but do we listen? God speaks to our heart, but is our heart open and ready to hear? Your ears are not the only place that is made to hear, we hear with our brain and our heart. In fact our ears just pick up the sounds. Our brain and our heart sorts them out. So the first thing this passage is pointing out to me today is that God speaks to us. And what is God telling Abram? Gosh, to leave your home, your family, your people, even your country. Listen folks, God still speaks to people today and tells them the same things. Think about it... I can tell you now that it has happened to many followers of God over the years. I want to talk to you about a few men who did just this, and folks, they are still doing it and it has been over 50 years of doing it...

Leave your family? They did that! Leave your homes? They did that! Leave your people? Yes, they did that! Leave your country? Many times over the ones I am talking about have done just that! Where God sent them, they went! I know them, they are called The Couriers, and the group is still doing that, and so are the guys who got it started... And some along the way who were with them are still going where God sends them. Yes, Duane, Neil, Dave, Phil, Tim, Larry have left their homes, not just when they were youth, but even today they leave their homes and hit the road for God. They leave their people, those in their home churches, to go out and seek others for the Lord, they even leave their country for this work. It must have been a big step for Abram to leave all this and go with God. And I am sure it was the same for a couple of teens or guys in their very early twenties when God called them into the ministry and said to go to Central Pennsylvania. It took trust and faith in God to do this, and it still does today And folks, these guys have been blessed over and over again and if you do not believe this just go to a concert and hear them and then ask them... Would you do it all over again? I know their answer...

My question for you. Would you be willing today to pack it up and start out with just your Bible and God? Now God does not ask all of His people to leave home, but folks He is asking each and every one of us to "follow Him". Are you ready to do that? Today as we start talking about blessings we will all count the air we breath, the clothes we wear, the food we eat... But our best blessing, the one we should count first is Jesus. This week we are going to look at more blessings and we are going to bring back the "Fish"; yes we are. Count your blessings, name them one by one.... Count those many blessings and see what God has done. And share them and watch them grow. Tomorrow we talk about growing your blessings.

Dear Father in Heaven, we are so, so blessed... Thanks for our many blessings. We just want to give You praise today. While we pray for those on our lists, we want to give glory for You having all of these folks in our lives. Bless them Lord. In Jesus name, in Jesus name, help us share our blessings... for we know that true blessings come from You. Thanks again... and I give thanks in Your name Jesus, Amen.

Do I need to say it this week.... yes of course... SHARE YOUR BLESSINGS. love ya, dan.
PS - let me hear about your blessings and what you think of my letter to the editor.

Instill teachers' dress code

With regards to dress codes in our public schools, I think the dress code must start at the top.

School administrators and schoolteachers should be required to dress as follows: Men should be required to wear suits, white shirts and ties. No sport coats, no just slacks and only white shirts.

When a male teacher or staff person would be in their classroom or office their suit jacket could be hung up, but when out of the office, in the halls, etc., the coat is on, no exceptions.

Ladies should be required to wear either dresses or skirts with a blouse or sweater and no low necklines.

Office staff also should follow the same dress code. Cooks and food helpers should be dressed alike. And hear me on this, no dress-down day.

Yes, many problems in schools start at home, but we must give our kids in schools people to look up to.

This dress code for teachers is nothing new, it is how my parents went to work, and it is how the teachers I had dressed when I went to the Harrisburg City Schools (John Harris, class of 1959).

If our teachers of today want respect, they must earn it, and they must set an example for the students to follow and to look up to.

Friday: Building Bridges 5

When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified Him, along with the criminals, one on His right, the other on his left.

Good Friday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Friday and the day we focus our prayers on those working for Jesus. Also please pray for Donna, Sandy, Beverly, and the rest of this wonderful family. The family needs God's help in dealing with an aging parent. Also pray for Sandy and her husband as they work with their son. Please keep the Saylor family in your prayers, and please pray for Anna Troutman who fell yesterday at the Bridges. Also please pray for my wonderful wife as her pain level keeps going up and up. She is a trooper and keeps on keeping on for Jesus, but I can see the pain in her eyes and her body as she does this. Also today pray for Tim and Larry who are The Couriers as they sing the gospel. Pray that God opens doors for them like never before.. These young men are solid with the Lord in all they do, and they have been blessed with voices like you just want to hear...

Building Bridges 5: Please, if you will, take a plain piece of paper and on the left side draw a mountain looking thing. Do the same on the right side of the paper so there is a valley between. On the left side mark your paper Earth, on the left mark it Heaven, and the valley, letter that one Hell.

Today we are going to look at The Bridge that gets us from Earth to Heaven. Oh, the neat part, that Bridge is already in place. We are just going to go and look at it... come with me.

John 3: 16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (NIV)

Luke 2: 6 - While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the Inn. (NIV)

Ok, brothers and sisters, the very first of The Bridge is now in place as God gave us His Son and this Son was born... A baby Bridge, those are my words of course. Now if you have ever ridden on the Steam Rail Road at Stroudsburg Pa. you would hear the conductor telling about the Punkinville Turnpike Bridge. This small bridge is just 16 feet long and goes over a dirt road that the Amish folks use for their working the farms. The conductor tells everyone to lift their feet to take the weight off of the train cars to lighten the load on the bridge. This old joke I heard so many times as we vacation on that railroad about ten times a year. Now this bridge differs from The Bridge we are talking about today for This Bridge was sent to carry the weight of the world... Listen up here...

John 3: 17 - For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him. (NIV)

You see, here Jesus was sent to carry the weight, the weight of the world, the weight of OUR SINS.

Now as Jesus grew He walked the earth teaching and living the truth, and telling others, and showing others how to live... Jesus taught by example and those examples are still true today. Yes, my brothers and sisters, Jesus is our Bridge from Earth to Heaven and there is no other way.

John 14: 6 - Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, there is no other bridge. When we cross the rivers or streams we find many, many bridges. Just in the Harrisburg Area there are about seven bridges to get across the Susquehanna river. Listen, we have the turnpike bridge, the South Bridge, Market Street Bridge, Harvey Taylor Bridge, Amity Hall Bridge. Plus two active railroad bridges, one is the Rockville Bridge the worlds longest stone arch bridge. But there is just ONE Bridge to get to Heaven.

Now we all know that there are a lot of bridges that you must pay the toll to cross. Going to the Jersey shore you can cross some of the bridges without paying but coming back you pay twice the rate. Also the other bridges are covered by tax dollars so we really pay to cross any bridge, be it by toll, taxes or both. HOWEVER, the toll has been paid for The Bridge to Heaven... Jesus paid this toll with His Life...

Luke 23: 33 - When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified Him, along with the criminals, one on His right, the other on his left. (NIV)

Then Jesus even forgave those who put them on the cross... Listen to these words from Jesus:

Luke 23: 34 - Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." (NIV)

Now there are things we must do. We must believe that Jesus was risen from the dead and we must confess that Jesus is Lord.

Romans 10: 9/10 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (NIV)

When must we do all this confessing and believing? Well before we die of course. But the sooner we do it the better our lives will be. We can get on The Bridge and have the earthy benefits of knowing Jesus. This is one thing we do not want to put off till the end, since we do not know when the end is. Not always is life easy for the believer, but when we believe our Lord does get us through it, as He has promised He will. Most often we do not let Him carry our loads. Again, I do believe that a person can come to the Lord just before his last breath and he will make heaven. I call it a bedside conversion... here is my proof from the word of Jesus... Jesus was talking to the criminals on the crosses beside him... One denied him, the other said this.

Luke 23: 42 - Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." 43 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." (NIV)

You see this also tells me that just after Jesus died on the cross He escorted the criminal to heaven... Not many make that point, but I sure do.

Ok, let's finish our Bridge... We are now going to go to our paper and put in The Bridge... No covered bridge or suspended bridge here. Let's just start with a straight plank across the valley we have labeled Hell. Wow, that is a long distance to just have a plank or log across, it might break in the middle. Let's put in a brace... go to the middle of the area we called Hell and start right in the bottom of that pit and bring up another plank coming up to the Bridge and beyond. Oh, my gosh, we have built a cross. Now we could put Jesus on the cross just to remember that He died for us on the cross, but today He is not on the cross, He is alive and well and in Heaven waiting to judge us. We just need to come to Jesus, and we will receive The Bridge to cross into Heaven. The price has been paid, the toll has been paid, the taxes have been paid. Crossing is just for believing in Jesus.

Let's pray... Father, I believe in The Virgin Birth, I believe in Your dying on the cross to save me of my sins, and I believe You have risen from the dead and are waiting for me. Forgive me today. I want to be welcome in Heaven some day. Let me be on The Bridge the rest of my life, living only for You... In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Ok, one more scripture.

John 14: 1 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME BACK AND TAKE YOU TO BE WITH ME THAT YOU ALSO MAY BE WHERE I AM." (NIV)

There you have it brothers and sisters... The Bridge. Please share it with others, tell them about The Cross and how Jesus died on it. It is the GOOD NEWS that Jesus has commanded us to tell others. Share those blessings. love ya, dan.

Thursday: Building Bridges 4

"Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and welcome to family day on The Carry The Light Ministries prayer and message line. Prayers today for families and let us keep the Saylor family on the list along with the Idlers, and prayers also for Vicki and her family, for the Campbell family and prayers for Ronald Leibfried... Ronald is in Health South Rehab and with hospice. His wife reports he is very, very sick with a lot of cancer and also a liver that is shutting down. Also today let us pray for each other's families.

Building Bridges 4: Yesterday I talked about how we build bridges and at the same time we also take some of them down. I mentioned about how we build our bridges with love as we should but we also take some of them down with gossip. What about when we are building a bridge to get into heaven and we start taking it back down? Can that be done? I think so, and while the Bible does tell us that once Jesus has us He will not let us go, I think that while we are building the bridge we can be taking it apart at the same time. Let's say we are building a bridge with a deck of steel. We put in two supports and then take one out. We put in a couple more and take a couple out. How do we do it and why? The first part is easy, we are taking down our bridge to heaven as we build it because of sin. We pray to our Lord God to be forgiven of our sins and we indeed our forgive we put in some posts for our bridge to heaven, and then we sin again and take some out. So in short it is sin that takes our bridge apart. Why does this happen, it is because we are weak and we try and do things on our own and sure enough when we go out on our own, we sin. So how do we correct this bridge building and wrecking? We repent and confess...

From Matthew 4: 17 - From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." (NIV)

Notice here Jesus is not saying if you have time or if you care to, please repent. No, not our Jesus, He is just telling us to REPENT... and why He is telling us this? FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS NEAR. Again this is another commandment of our Lord. Some seem to think there are twelve commandments, but the truth is there are many, many more than twelve. I have told you before the first commandment came in the garden when He told Adam and Eve not to eat from that one tree.

Tomorrow the real good news about building bridges... and how we must build the bridge to heaven, or, or, is there another answer? Oh, you are catching on, yes indeed the Bridge is already in place. Tomorrow we just go and look at it. Who built The Bridge? We know Noah built the Ark, but who built The Bridge to heaven?

Dear Father in Heaven, it is family day, and today I pray first for the family of God, Your family, Father, that we all need to 100% in with You. Help us to repent, Lord I ask this often and I am asking today, Lord we need to walk tight with You. We need to walk in your light, and we need to lean on You. Lord please, bless the Saylor family and the Idler family and the Campbell family and yes, our family in the White House, and the families in the State Houses and Lord, bless the families that use this line. Lord, please touch those families that struggle keeping the family together. Lord, I pray for our family at The Bridges and Lord, I ask blessings on the families that come to our food pantry and ask that You keep filling the shelves. Thanks Lord for the bread of yesterday. Lord, I love You, and want to thank You for this line. In the name of Jesus, I pray ... Amen.

Men, lead your family under God of course... Ladies, pick it up if the men do not do their job... Parents, learn to share your blessings and teach them to your children... When school starts if you are packing for your children, find out if there are kids with no lunch and put an extra serving in your kids lunch bag for someone else... Share, share and share and God will bless, bless and bless even more. Love ya, dan.

Wednesday: Building Bridges 3

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Praise God, Praise God, Praise God. Praise reports in this morning... Do you remember praying and praying for Baby Ali? You remember this beautiful child of Jim and Beverly Orner who was born with Down Syndrome. Ali is now two years old and she is walking with a walker. Jim and Beverly are going to send us a place on the web where we can look and see Ali. Please keep praying for this family. Jim is having some spine issues and needs our prayers.

Another praise report.,. Awhile back we prayed for Jim Alemisis, a gentlemen who works for Michaud bus service in Brentwood, NH. Jim HAD cancer, and please note the word HAD... it is gone, out of there, zip, goodbye and we will give all the glory to our Lord Jesus. God is good, and like Jim, I am also healed of cancer, and so is my dear friend Bob Beard... Zip, gone due to Jesus.

Another praise report here... The Michaud family is a supporter of Carry The Light Ministries, and a very good one. Back in June they came to Hershey Pennsylvania for an Antique Bus Museum event and I had one of our Antique Buses on display. When I went to leave I found one of the bays just loaded with food that this family brought to us for the food pantry. God is so good, and He blesses all of us daily. Take a few minutes today and look at how you have been blessed. People say we need to take time to smell the roses, let's change that to say we NEED TO TAKE TIME TO COUNT OUR BLESSINGS. I have been blessed this morning already. I am up, awake, and writing for God, and Dolores just brought me a cup of coffee and set it beside my very big glass of chocolate milk. God is good. I am blessed and SO ARE YOU... count them up today.

Well good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Wednesday and that means it is Salvation Wednesday. Why do we have Salvation day in the middle of the week? It is where God wants me to have it. Maybe it replaces those Midweek prayer meetings at church. We need to hear about God more than just once a week. I am telling you right now, if God would ever trust to me a church (I pastor a retirement home), the church would have something going on every day of the week. A day of rest? Of course, you just rotate some of the staff. Pray today for the unsaved and for God to use us all in the fields of harvest to help seek out the lost and bring them to the feet of Jesus..

Prayer request today for Ali Smith, a sixteen year old girl who is very, very ill. I do not know the cause but know she is on feeding tubes and the family said "Things do not look good". Pray, warrior,s pray. Also for Sparky (nickname) who is maybe in his mid 30's and has about six years ago had surgery for a brain tumor, and this past week has had a stroke. The stroke appears to be minor, but this man is young and needs the healing hand of Jesus (as we all do). And please keep praying for Vicki for her health and for Don Saylor for his health.

Building Bridges 3: Genesis 1: 1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (NIV)

Now later on God gave us a way to get from the earth where He in all his wisdom placed us, to get to the place we call Heaven...

John 3: 16/17 - 16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (NIV)

John 14: 6 Jesus said: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, you can start to see the Bridge I am going to be working on that will get you to Heaven, and again it is a Bridge that is built with Love. But let me just not get ahead of this series and tell you another real bridge story. How many of you have watched and waited over the years for a new bridge, one that is to help with the flow of traffic? In our area not long ago a bridge was started on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, a brand new bridge over the Susquehanna River near Harrisburg Pa. This is a very large bridge, nice and wide, six lanes plus wide shoulders.. and it was to replace an old four lane bridge... Now while this new bridge was being built, I contacted our local people at the state house for the old bridge was to be taken down, blown to bits.. Wait a minute, why not use it for local traffic. It is well known that an extra bridge would do good in this area, but of course that would mean less traffic on the new bridge which has tolls. Long story short, new bridge up and old bridge torn down.

So why do I bring this up? Have you ever noticed people, and maybe in the past you have been one of these people, who have worked hard to build a bridge to friendship to someone only later on to come back and do something that would either damage it or take it down? We are to love all of our neighbors and we are to love them forever. Sometimes people seem to only have room in their lives for one or two friends and if they get a new friend (neighbor) an old one gets dumped on.

One of the very best ways to tear down a bridge is not by those powerful explosives, it is not, one of the very best ways to take that bridge down is by, you are not going to believe this one. Yes, here it is, it is GOSSIP, yes, going behind one's back and talking about them. How often has this happened among friends, how often has a good friend of someone been trashed out by their very best friend? Has it happened to you? Or have you done it to another? And maybe you do not even realize that you are doing it... Gossip is a sin, and folks, sin will destroy the very best of bridges. We will be learning how sin will destroy a bridge that you need to get to heaven. Coming tomorrow folks, building a bridge to heaven and then destroying it... can it be done, how do we build the bridge in the first place? It is going to get interesting....

Dear Father in Heaven, Building Bridges can be fun when we build them with Love, and yes even sweat and tears, but taking them down with sin is not, yet we confess we have done it in the past and we want to stop that today. Help us this day to build up love and not take it down. Lord, we give You Praise for the life of Baby Ali Orner and also for Jim Alemisis and thank You for having Your hand on them at all times. Bless them over and over again. And Lord, now we add another Ali in for prayer and ask that You heal this teenager and bring her back to full health, as also we pray for Sparky. And Lord, we pray the same for Vicki and for Don Saylor and his family. Lord, bless and keep them. And Lord, today we pray that we can help bring in the lost to Your feet to be saved. Lord, use us, use us, and help us to work for You daily, not just once in a while. Lord help us. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Time to go, I am being blessed again today, I am heading to the food store to pick up the bread that goes out of date today. It comes back to our food bank and goes into our bread freezer to be given to the needy and hungry. And it comes at a good time as that freezer is all but empty... God is good. Praise and thanks to Jesus and to His helpers, Grant and Wanda for lining us up for this. Got to go folks, I am going to share my blessings today, are you? Get sharing please... and today we will be singing at home, at 2.00 PM today we will be AT THE BRIDGES. You are welcome to come and hear us. love ya, dan.

Tuesday: Building Bridges 2

"Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me."

Good Tuesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, yes Tuesday, and it is schools day on this line. The day we pray for our schools and all who pass through the doors and all who have anything to do with our schools. We need Jesus in our schools, so you parents with school age kids be sure you teach them it is ok to pray before their lunch, it is ok to pray before a ball game, it is ok to pray before a test. They just cannot stand and lead prayers. It is also ok to belong to Christian clubs that meet after school. Let's keep Jesus in our schools and the heck with the ACLU. The ACLU needs put out... any willing to say amen on this or do you think I am out of line? Let me be a cheerleader today, after all football practice started in our area yesterday... ready, I am the head cheerleader, Hip, Hip - Give me a J, Give me an E, Give me a S, Give me a U, Give me another S. What does it spell? JESUS, JESUS... Jesus who? Jesus Christ! Who's He? Our Lord and Savior, and the only one who can save our schools... Go, Jesus Go... (I am not going to put the jump on the end, you can).

Please pray today for the Saylor family and for Don. Don is very weak. Also pray today for Vicki and for her many health issues to be healed by Jesus.

Building Bridges 2: John 14 1 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house there are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you." (NIV)

One of my biggest fears in life is height, I mean I get scared when I wear my cowboy boots with the high heals. Ok, not that bad, but after three steps on the step ladder I am worthless, and that is a fact. So how then does a person who is so scared of height get on a motorcycle and head to the Jersey Shore and need to cross one of those very, very high suspended bridges? Let me tell you I have been up on them and I am scared even in a car. I put my eyes into tunnel vision and go in the middle lane, looking straight ahead. Dolores and I have been up on them when the wind was up and the rain was coming down, and yes, I was really scared. The whole way over the bridge I am talking to Jesus. Help me, Lord, help me, Lord, and of course He did. But Jesus also loaned a lot of talent out for those bridges. Think first of the ones who design them, the engineers and remember they must design them but also must design a way to build them. Where does one get started? And then you need men and women who will climb up on them and build them.

Yes, from those covered bridges of years gone by to the big mass of steel, concrete and cable bridges like the Golden Gate Bridge, they marvel me. If I had to make my living working up on one of those bridges, my kids would have been very, very skinny. I have a neighbor who is an engineer and I must sit down with him sometime and have him show me how you put them together and make them hold all that traffic. People must really have a love for a job to do that kind of work. Now how does all this relate to our lesson today?

First of all, when we come to a bridge, be it a covered bridge or one of those biggies, we need to put faith and trust in the ones who designed it and built it. We need to trust and have faith that each and every member of that team worked together and did not short change their job. The concrete must be just right to be put down, the steel must not have any bad pieces, even the paint must be done perfect to keep the rust down. A bolt must be tightened perfectly, no short cuts here, and when we pull up to the bridge we have faith in all that workmanship.

When we look at what Jesus is telling us and not just in these scriptures but throughout the Bible, we need to have faith. Jesus loves us so much and how do we know it? We must have faith that He does, we can read the Bible, like we might read a book on how that big bridge was built, but the bottom line is we must have faith in Jesus. Here we find Jesus telling us, and yes He is telling us for He is the same today as He was some 2000 years ago, and for you younger readers, He will be the same tomorrow and forever... So we have faith in the fact He is telling us that in His Fathers house there are many rooms. Now think about it, it must be really big, and we get a room in The Mansion and I have faith in our Lord Jesus that He will be living in The Mansion with us... no absentee landlord here. Also I want to use one more scripture today in closing and ask all of you to read it before tomorrow morning and really think about God's engineering on this... Genesis 1: 1 - In the beginning Cod created the heavens and the earth. (NIV) Think of it, all the stars, planets, the sun, moon, all moving around and not hitting each other. We will talk about it some more tomorrow, as we build another Bridge. What kind will we build? Before the end of the week we are going to look at building a bridge between earth and our Heavenly home.

Remember again, that Love is the best bridge builder of all... Let's pray.

Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for the Love You give us each and every day of our lives even if we don't appreciate it. I love You, Jesus, and I appreciate Your love, and I appreciate also how You are teaching us to love You and also love others. I pray that we can bridge with Love all the evil that tries to get into our way. Lord. we want to bridge over the obstacles that are not from You. Lord, please be in our schools and be with our leaders and, Lord, as I am praying to You, I ask that You be in the school also where the principal and coach were arrested for praying before a meal. Lord, please, please be in our schools. It is time we take them back from evil and from the ACLU. Lord, it is time we stand up for You, as someday we are going to be before You and need You to stand up for us. Lord, thanks for forgiving us of our sins, and Lord give us the strength to stand before evil and ban it from our lives. Lord, please heal Don Saylor and be with his family. Lord, I pray also that You heal Vicki. May she wake up tomorrow healed as only You could heal her. Lord, please be in our school buses also and keep our kids safe. In the name of Jesus, AMEN.

Ok, folks, let's get praying for our schools, and for our teachers and kids and let's get Jesus back inside. It is time we Christians stopped taking the back seat. It is time to get brave, it is time to let our hearts NOT BE TROUBLED, and get busy for God. Start it today, please, and yes, you could start by sharing your blessings... love ya, dan.

Monday: Building Bridges 1

"Love your neighbor as yourself."

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Wow, it is Monday again, another week, can you believe it, summer is almost over and the kids are heading back to school. Did I just hear a few mothers giving a loud cheer? Today being Monday is the day we pray for our President and his family and all of our other leaders, those in authority over us. Please pray first for their salvation through our Lord Jesus and then pray they lead by taking things to God before, yes before, they bring them to us. It is high time we start taking things to our Lord, before we mess up and not always be running to God to get us out of the mess. Let's start with God... AMEN!!!! Also it is the day we pray for our veterans and for all of our military and for our police and firefighters and all others who work so hard to keep us safe and free.

Building Bridges 1: Have you ever gone on a Covered Bridge Tour and looked over some of the few remaining covered bridges that are still standing today? Over the years many have rotted and also been washed away in high water, and still others have been burnt by vandals. If you look at the Covered Bridges you will see some really neat ways of building bridges, good sound building practices. So why were the those old bridges covered? Some will tell you that the roof over the bridge would keep the weather off of the bridge deck, keeping the ice from forming and helping to keep the rot from the weather away. Others might tell you it was to keep the horses from being spooked and jumping off the sides of the bridges. I don't really know why they were built that way, but I am sure I will hear from my dear friend Oliver Ogden who just loves history and studies Lancaster County and will weigh in on this. For me, I would think the main reason the bridge was built was to get from one side of the creek, river, gorge, etc to the other. As for the covered part, I would think a lot had to do with early engineering and offer strength to the deck. And there are many Bridges and for many reasons. This week I am going to talk about some of the bridges we see daily and some we might use that we never see. Come on, let's take a look.

Building Bridges 1: Mark 12: 30 - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." 31 " The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.'" (NIV)

Yes that was Jesus giving us the Greatest Commandments, and I want to build this week on them...

My dear late mamma was a great lady of God, she loved Jesus with all her heart and I never, never heard her say a bad thing about anyone... never. My Mamma would tell me to love others, and she had this statement, you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, and that does work and you will never see a fly strip hanging in a house that has vinegar on it. What she was telling me was to love, be nice to people and they will like you, but even if they don't, keep loving them anyway... Be nice to them. Just this past week in a small town not far from us (Shippensburg Pa) there were two neighbors that have been fighting and it must have been going on for a long time... Last week things got way out of hand and now one is dead and the other in jail. Two families ruined all because, well all because they did not listen to Jesus and learn to love your neighbor. Do you have a neighbor or maybe even a family member that you just do not hit it off with? Why not build a bridge over the problem, maybe you might even call it fence mending, but let's just let me today call it building a bridge. Now how in the world would we build a bridge over a problem? You do not need to hire, Johnson, Smith, Hanks and Washington Engineering Firm, you just need to ask Jesus to help you. You do not need 6 to 8 years of higher education like you might need to design a bridge across a major river, you just need the Master Engineer, you know the one who designed and built the universe, and you just need to read about Love in the Bible. Love was then, is now and always will be, the best bridge builder when it comes to covering over problems. Love will cover all things... and we will be digging into this more this week. Folks, when I sign off each day with a simple "Love ya, dan", know it comes from my heart, for if I did not love Jesus and love you, I would not be spending hours upon hours for all these years typing this. It is a mission of love.

Dear Father in Heaven, how I love You and I know how You love me, and Lord Jesus I ask You to help us to understand the deep Love You had and still have for us today, and that You will have tomorrow and all the tomorrows. Love is good, Lord, and we ask that You help us today to start loving more and more. Lord, help us know the real meaning of love and know that love making is not a sex thing. Real love making is working for and with You to help others. Help us this day with that. Lord, please be with the Saylor family and touch them Lord, and for Anna Troutman, Lord, and touch her. Lord, bless our leaders today and also our military and all those who are working so hard to keep us safe and free. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Go forth now sharing your blessings with others, and also know that sharing your love with others is a great way to share your blessings. Remember to share a hug... at the Bridges there is one elderly lady who when she sees people she will say, "I need a hug" and to this I want to add... don't we all? Give someone a great big hug today and if it is me you see, yes, I will take that hug. Love ya, dan.

Friday: YES

For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God!

Good Friday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and welcome to the day we pray for all those working in the fields of harvest for our dear Lord Jesus. How often do I need to say this? We all should be working in the FIELDS OF HARVEST for our Lord Jesus. Jesus said, and it is recorded in Mark 16: 15, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." And He also said this as recorded in Mark 16: 16, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." As you can see, if your eyes are open at all, that we need to be working for Jesus and working hard and long and we need to be working it in with all we do. Please keep praying for the Saylor Family and for Don Saylor. Prayers also for LeaAnne as she continue her studies to advance her knowledge in senior care... LeaAnne works at the Bridges.

YES! All week I have been writing on the subject "Has The Time Arrived?" and today I put up the answer which is Yes! So what am I now talking about, what time has arrived? Well, all those things that we have talked about this week, all the sin that is really taking over and how people are not keeping God as head of the household, and even churches are not putting Jesus in the front... I remember dear friends of mine leaving a church saying "There is no Jesus there", and at that time they were right. Same church denomination still supports abortion according to their book of discipline.

YES! The time has come. 1 Peter 5: 17 - For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"

Folks what does this really mean? I think there are people who think that once we give ourselves over to Jesus to be saved, we still will not face judgment. That is wrong, and this scripture backs that up. We will be judged, and it will be fair, and we will stand before our Lord Jesus someday and be judged. And those who do not love Jesus or do not believe will also be judged, and all will get a fair judgment as our Lord Jesus is fair of course. In fact, He already paid the price for we who believe according to His word. But Judgment will come, and according to the Bible the time has arrived. Do you know we are being judged daily by the non-believers? They are looking for us to fall, they want to be there to step on us, to put us down. "See, they say they are Christians but they are sinning also." And yes, we do slip and we do fall, and folks, those of us who follow Jesus need to be going out and helping our fallen brothers and sisters back up and getting them back on the right track. We should not line up with all the evildoers and step our brothers and sisters into the ground. And believe me when I say the Christian Army is good at doing just that, and you know it and I know it.

Let me share these words to all of you who are working in the fields of harvest, and I know that for a lot of you the road gets long and hard and the dollars are short. But listen to these words and have faith... 1 Peter 5:2 - Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be, not greedy for money, but eager to serve 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, those who have made a commitment to serve God in the fields of harvest will not get rich in dollars, but will be rich in blessings. And listen to these words as I once again go back to 1 Peter 5: 4 - And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. (NIV)

YES, Has The Time Arrived? Yes, and the time I am talking about today is the time has arrived to come to Christ, fully come to Christ, stop playing with it, stop looking at it as religion and look at it as love that will last till the end of time and beyond. We need to come to Christ and stop this backsliding as we know it. We need to stand solid with Jesus and take up the cross for Him.
We need to STOP PLAYING CHURCH and get solid with the body of Christ. WE NEED TO PUT ON OUR WEDDING GOWN and get ready for the return of the Lord. If we knew that on Sunday night at midnight Christ was coming back, how would we live these last three days? Well folks, we need to live each day like it might be our last day for we are indeed not sure when the last day will be. I mean we could get hit by a car while walking in the parking lot of our food store, we could get run over by a get away car outside our bank. A tree could fall on us in a storm. Or we could just have a heart attack when we have just been given an exam and told our health is good. OR, OR, hey, Jesus might just come back this Sunday at Midnight, we just do not know. So yes the time has come. Are you ready to do this with me today, are you ready to give it all over to Christ, really give it all over? I am talking all of you, pastors, singers, those on the mission fields and those who are sitting back letting others do the work of the Lord. YES, I think the time has arrived for us to stop playing with our walk with God and put it on the front burner and keep it there. It is time we stand up for Jesus and be counted. I am serious about this, and yes, Jesus is talking to me about it also, all of us. He has laid this on me today, not just for you, but for all of us, including me. Are you fully trusting God, or are you just trusting once in a while. Today, I want you if you are ready, to pray a sinners prayer to be forgiven and then I ask that You pray with me in faith a commitment prayer that we will go forth walking with Jesus always, that we will put Him ahead of all else. If we have something planned like a vacation and God calls us someplace else, we go with God. Ladies and gentlemen, I think The Time Has Arrived... Yes I do. It is time to stop playing and get serious about working in the fields. It is time to stop just looking for the dollars and work for God and trust He will provide and He will. It is time to "STEP INTO THE WATER" AND "WADE OUT A LITTLE DEEPER". Yes, the time has arrived... for we do not know the day or the hour, but we know He is coming for He promised that... John 14: 3 - "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME BACK AND TAKE YOU TO BE WITH ME THAT YOU ALSO MAY BE WHERE I AM". Does the promise get better than that? Not really, He has promised to clean us of our sins, He has told us the way, and now He is telling us He is coming back for us. So don't you think THE TIME HAS ARRIVED to get serious about this and come to Him? Here we go, and please in faith only, for it is the only way home, faith in Jesus...

Dear God, Dear Father in Heaven... I am ready, I am ready to come to You full time, I am sick and tired of this not going the whole way and still clinging to earthly stuff. I am ready to be with You, here on earth and ready now to be with You if this is the day You call me. From now on Lord, I want to be with You, I want to work with You and for You, I want to walk with You and talk with You, even when I am working on the things on Earth, I want to be doing them for You. I love You, Jesus, and I need to come clean today. I am a sinner, and I need forgiven, I need to lead my family better, I need to lead my flock better, I need to get on the street and work for You, I need to get on my knees before You, I need You full time Lord Jesus, come in today and save me and help me to repent and be with You full time... Save me Lord and help me. In the name of Jesus... Amen.

Group prayers don't cut it when it comes to being saved... standing in church and just praying a written prayer does not cut it unless you are praying it from your heart. Go to God, my prayer above is just an example, go to God and give it ALL OVER. YES, THE TIME HAS ARRIVED. All the things in the Bible are playing out, but what I am talking about is The Time Has Arrived for us to come fully to God. Yes, I am repeating myself, God has put me on a mission today... someone out there is not paying attention. Put down petty differences and take up Jesus. And folks, also believe this, if you share your blessings in faith, you will be rewarded over and over again, so find a way to share them and do it. THE TIME HAS ARRIVED, can you afford to put it off another day?

This, folks, from my heart, what God has given me, and I pray it gets you thinking. You folks on this line are indeed part of the flock that God has entrusted to me. I pray I am getting it across.
I really, really do love you folks, I do, and when I say Love ya at the end of a message, I really mean it... so let me close by saying Love ya, dan.

Thursday: Has The Time Arrived? 4

You shall have not other gods before me, you shall not make for yourself and idol, you shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Honor your father and mother, you shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not covet!

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Thursday and that is family day on this line, and we really need to be praying for families. Do you know what is missing from a lot of families today? Good Parents! How many parents today follow the Bible when it comes to raising their children? How many dads are leading their homes under God? How many parents put God first and then their children? I want you to think about this... we have people coming to Carry The Light Ministries food pantry for food... Nothing for those little ones to eat, and what do they want most for the kids? Mac and Cheese, hot dogs, cans of spaghetti O's. Last week at our local Giant food store, store brand Mac and Cheese was selling for 45 cents per box. I have asked one parent, do you know that if you give up one pack of smokes you can purchase 12 boxes of that Mac and Cheese your kids like, or you can buy a three pound package of hotdogs? This is the way families need to line up their lives. God first, then comes the family and parents need to be parents and we need to pray that way and we need to be helping parents. Yes, when folks come to get food, we help them, but when I smell a car full of smoke, or see the smokes in a pocket, I get them aside and pray with them and tell them about how much money they can spend on the kids if they give up that habit of smoking.

Has The Time Arrived? 4: I am not going to type out my opening lines word for word today, but I do invite you to go to Exodus 20 and read that short chapter. It is the ten commandments, and I ask this question today, how many of them are broken daily in the United States of America and how many times? Without looking up numbers I do know this, more people are murdered each day in the United States than are killed in the two wars we are fighting and that does not count the murder of our unborn babies. More people are killed by drunk drivers in the United States of America each day than are killed in the two wars we are fighting. Think about it folks, none of us like war, but this is happening right here in the United States of America and we seem to just say it is ok. Oh you better not have a DUI checkpoint for that might step on someone's toes, right? Excuse me, but I have the right not to be hit by a drunk driver again and if it takes a checkpoint to get them off the road, so be it...

Psalm 33: 12 - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose from His inheritance. (NIV) Psalm 1: 1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. (NIV)

How often have you gone to a ball game or to a support our troops rally or a big event of some type and you join in the singing of God Bless America, which is really a prayer in song? God Bless America, Land that I love! We stand and sing this song over and over again and at the same time we do not live for the Lord. The Bible is very clear about this a nation who loves the Lord will be blessed, and people who love the Lord will be blessed. Some of the same people asking God to Bless America are some of the people who are not living for our Lord God. So I ask again today, Has The Time Arrived? ... Tomorrow it will get exciting for tomorrow I am going to bring forth to you or try and bring forth to you about what to do and if indeed the time has arrived. See you tomorrow...

Dear Father in Heaven, When we learn to let You lead our lives, let You lead our families and let You truly lead our Nation, then we will be blessed over and over again and we know that... So instead of me asking You today to bless us and our Nation, I am asking that if You will help us come back to You, one person, one family at a time... Lord, we must face the fact that our President is not a god of any type yet so many people are worshiping him and the ground he walks on. Lord Jesus, please help us to heal this Nation according to the Word of God which we find in the Bible. Father it is time we pick up our Bibles again and join the Christian Army and fight for You. You indeed are our savior and that is one really big blessing we do not want to lose... Help us, to come back to You... in the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Walk with our Lord, let Him lead your family, let Him lead our nation, stand up for God and don't be afraid, and by all means do not be ashamed to tell the world these few words... I love Jesus! Put it on your shirt. Why wear a beer shirt, what has a bottle of beer done for you? Stand up for Jesus, for in the end HE IS GOING TO BE THE ONE TO STAND UP FOR YOU... and folks, please remember to share your blessings, for God indeed will replace them over and over again... love ya, dan.

Wednesday: Has The Time Arrived? 3

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and WELCOME to Salvation Wednesday and the day we pray for the souls of the lost, and we pray that our Lord God will use us to help bring in the lost.

We are to help with the harvest. Remember that it is God's job and only His to save the lost soul, we can only work to get people to Him to be saved. You see, Jesus went to the cross for all of us, our job, get that GOOD NEWS out to the world.

Prayers also today for Tony Malone who has left for the Navy. Please pray for his family also for they are having trouble letting him go. Tony just came out of high school. While we are praying for those sailors, please pray for our grandkids Daniel and Brittany who left for the Navy two weeks ago. Prayers are also needed for Pastor Carol who is having lots of pain after hip surgery, she fears she might need to go back to the hospital. Also please keep praying for the Saylor family. Also pray for Pastor Charles Idler that he keeps growing stronger and stronger. Pastor had a stroke and is recovering at The Bridges. Pray that God will let him rise up and preach again.

Has The Time Arrived? 3. I am not a pastor that is looking through the Bible and trying to figure out when our Heavenly Father is going to send His Son, Jesus, back to get us believers. Frankly we just have too much work to do for Jesus then to be trying to figure out when He is returning. It should be good enough for us just knowing He is coming back and to be working to get the word out about salvation through Jesus as we are doing today. However with all of that said, when you look through the Bible things sure do seem to be lining up. How long will our Heavenly Father put up with what is going on down here on earth?

Romans 1: 18 - The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. (NIV)

Once in a while I will talk to people who think getting into heaven is a given, that all will make it and it is because we have an all-loving God who in the end will just throw the gates open and let all walk in. Not so fast folks, that is not the way it works, in the end all will be judged and only those who came to Jesus and worked for Jesus after coming to Him will be saved, and the rest are going to go to HELL. Can I say it any plainer than that? There are two locations where we can spend our eternal life! We can spend it in a city that is full of good things, a city where the streets will be paved with gold, and we can spend it in a city where we will be living in a mansion and we can spend it in a city where we can sit with Jesus. That city we call heaven and I pray that all of us will be able to call it home. Then there is the other choice, the place we call hell, and folks, there is no other place.

Some people do not believe in the wrath of God, but folks here it is in scripture..

Has The Time Arrived? So has the time arrived? Look around you and tell me what you see, do you see families going into church together to truly learn about our Lord Jesus and the truth about Him and salvation? Or are people going to church to be entertained? Think about it, those great big churches with all the spot lights and big, big sound systems, and folks there is nothing wrong with those big churches, but are people going to there to learn about Jesus or to be entertained? I hope it is to learn about Jesus. I know that all those things, the lights, the sound systems and even those smoke machines can be used to bring in people, but does the pastor really follow it up with salvation messages? I think a lot of them do, but again I ask, have our churches gone into the entertainment business? I can remember how I first felt when the church I was attending had in a group and you had to BUY A TICKET to get into the show. So what about that poor person who can't even afford to feed their families, do they not get to see this group who might just reach them for Jesus?

But it goes deeper than that. Our Bible is very clear about things that are wrong, yet some pastors at some churches say it is ok. Yesterday I used scriptures that talked about men going with men, and today if we take a look at -

Romans 1: 26 - Because of this God, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversions. (NIV)

Could the wrath of God in some of these cases be AIDS? Think about it folks, and there are churches that not only say this behavior is ok, but they are even pushing for the marriage between men and men and women and women, and in some states in this great Nation it is already legal. IS AMERICA GOING DOWN THE OLD DRAIN, so to speak? I just watched on the news today where a school principal and the athletic director/coach were ARRESTED for praying for a meal on school property. Yes, the ACLU was behind the arrest, and these men now face jail time for praying. Now listen to me on this, it was a meal for a group of people who had a fund raiser to build a field house for the school and the kids. This was not on school time nor were their any students at the dinner, it was a reward type dinner for those who funded the field house. The principal just asked his friend to pray over the meal and he did...

Has The Time Arrived? If you cannot see this old world changing, you do not have your eyes open, and folks, we who follow our Lord Jesus can expect, WE CAN EXPECT to see more arrests coming if we really speak out for Jesus. Let me ask you this... If today you were arrested for being a Christian, could they find enough evidence against you to make a conviction? Think about it folks, do you love Jesus enough to stand up for Him even if you were threatened with arrest? He gave His life for us, what are we giving back? More on this subject tomorrow... If it were not for God making a promise that He would not destroy this world again with water I might be suggesting that we start building a big boat. So I am suggesting the only thing that will save us in the end... I am suggesting that it is time to get on board with Jesus and stop playing religion. It is time to get serious about it, get Him locked into your heart, and repent of sins and get working for Him. The only way we are going to avoid the wrath of God is being locked tight with Him... AND SOMEONE SAID AMEN!

Dear Father in Heaven, forgive me of my sins today and take me in as one of Yours, help me to follow all of Your footsteps and all of Your commandments and Your laws for living and help me to work for You in all I do. Save me now, Jesus, so I am ready for Your return, and until then, put me in the fields of Harvest to be working to get in the Lost. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Please folks, if you did not pray that prayer in faith, if you just mouthed it out or read it, stop and go back and really pray it, or pray for salvation from your heart, for as it tells us in Romans, we must confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that Jesus died for us and was risen from the dead. Believe it, folks, and let's look around us, all the shootings, all the murders, the drunk drivers, all the sex on TV and in the movies, all the cursing... Be ready, my brothers and sisters, be ready, for we know not when He will return, but we do know this -- HE IS RETURNING.
Now go forth sharing your blessings. Love ya, dan.

Today at 2.00 PM, Carry The Light will be singing at Perry Village in New Bloomfield Pa., and you are always welcome. Most of our concerts will now be mid week.

Tuesday: Has The Time Arrived? 2

Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanders nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God!!

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is Tuesday and that means it is schools day on this line. Please as you pray for all schools, please pray for the Central Dauphin School District, for last night at a board meeting they sold their bus fleet to an out of state bus contractor. Now is the time to really be praying for our schools. Also pray for LeaAnne Crockett. LeaAnne works in the activities department at The Bridges and is a wonderful young lady. LeaAnne has gone back to school to get a degree in Elder Care to help her with her job. She is doing this on her own. I think it is wonderful when people go out on their own to get education to help them with their jobs. LeaAnne also filled in at the piano when Dolores has been off for knee surgery and she does this on her own time. God bless you LeaAnne.

Has The Time Arrived? 2. I touched on this a bit yesterday about how our churches have changed, but it is not just the churches, it is in the thinking of all those who go to church, but also those who don't. I think more and more people are trying to find a "shortcut to heaven". I think people really want to get into heaven, all people, for I never really talked to someone who really wanted to go to hell, and folks, there are but two choices we can make. And let me be right up front here, it is our choice, each one of us. God sent His Son to save this world (John 3: 17) but so many are turning from God or turning to God when it is convenient or under their terms and not God's.

Even some of the churches have been divided because of differences in the church. Folks, if your church is doing things that are not in the Bible, if they are going against God's word, may I make this suggestion... RUN, GET OUT OF THAT CHURCH. You know, I have told you over and over that we all need to be attending a GOOD church, but we need to know what that church stands for. If you are attending a church, find out what they believe, and not if you just feel good, in fact if the pastor is really preaching the word, all of it, you might find yourself thinking he is preaching to just you. Oh yes, I have sat in a church thinking is this preacher just preaching to me, what does he know about my background? Do you feel that way in church or does your pastor try and make everyone feel good? We now have pastors that say it is ok to be gay, and let me get this straight right up front, we need to love all people, just hate the sin. I just right now want to give you a scripture where these things come from and during the course of the week we will go over this scripture...

From 1 Corinthians 6: 9 - Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanders nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God!! (NIV)

Now look at all those things that will keep you out of Heaven and that is just a start. But folks, as I stop for today I just want to point out that if you have been living in that life of sin, there is hope through Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 6: 11 - And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, you know and have seen all that news about our President sitting in a church where the pastor even damned God. Brothers and sisters, do not sit in a church where the pastor is preaching hate against anyone, even the sinner... again I say we are to love our neighbors but we are to hate the sins. We are to be telling the good news. How can you sit in a service where the pastor or pastors preach what is not true according to the Bible? GET UP AND WALK OUT.

If you are in a church where those things are going on and you are putting your dollars in that collection plate, then you are indeed a part of that problem. Yes, remember when you give your hard earned dollars to a church and/or a charity you are indeed supporting their work, right or wrong, you are supporting it. Folks, when you are in church or even following this line, you check out what is being said... look up the scriptures that I am giving you and cross them over in your Bible. KNOW WHAT IS BEING SAID... CHECK IT OUT ON YOUR OWN...

Tomorrow more on this subject and who we should unite our body with... coming tomorrow.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for the message of today. Lord, we want to put our trust in You and look to You for guidance here on earth. We need You to help us sort out finding brothers and sisters to be with, to find a church to worship at, to find good followers of You to make as our friends, and we need to arm ourselves with Your help so that when we go into the fields of Harvest to work for you, we will not become the prey for the others to eat up. Lord help us, and Lord be in our schools, I pray today for LeaAnne and ask Your help for her as she studies to learn more about how to help our seniors, a group of people that she loves so much. Bless her Lord, and help her study. Lord, I pray for all of our schools and pray that those going will take You with them. The government might try and put You out, but we who follow You want You in our schools, so help us get You there. Lord, thanks again for the message and for keeping this line open... in the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth, sharing your blessings and walking with Jesus, for if you truly walk with our Lord, He will be right there with you. It is hard some days but if WE, you and me, stay on point, we can make it... we really, really can and we can make a difference. "Live for Jesus, for He died for You".

Love ya, dan.
