Praise Report, Praise Report. From Alabama, the five year old, I believe six years old today, was rescued yesterday. Praise God for answered prayers, not just ours, but hosts and hosts of people. Praise Report, the one we prayed for for traveling safety arrived safe at their location.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Yes, we received snow last night, just as it was pointed out by God. We had red skies in the morning. I also asked if someone knew the scripture, and while I know more than one person knows it, only one took time to respond. Ministry partner Wanda Crocket sent in Matthew 16:2/3: 2 - He replied, "When evening comes, you say 'it will be fair weather, for the sky is red, 3 and in the morning, Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times." (NIV)
No new prayer requets for today, so how about just praising God for He is good!! Let me get to the message.
Heroes 2/5/13 Day Two:
First let me take a look at a few more of those earthly heroes from when I was a kid. I remember how my buddies and I would tie our coats around our necks by the sleeves so that the coat was like a cape and we would play Superman or Batman and Robin. I could never be Superman for I could not change clothes in a phone booth fast enough. Speaking of which, where does he go to change clothes now, no more phone booths! If can also remember Roy Rogers and Dale Evans ... now who can remember the name of Roy's horse? I loved the jeep, after all, I am a car guy, and on the Roy Rogers show, the jeep was Nellie-Bell. "Happy Trails to You." But so much for those heroes from the past. I want to look at my heroes of my present.
Now what is so funny about this, is to get my heroes of the present, I must go back much, much farther into the past. Let me go right to the Bible and to the very, very first verse to find one of my heroes of today.
Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth. (NIV)
Yes, like yesterday when I pointed out to you that one of my heroes of today was Jesus, today I am going to start with God The Father. I could go throughout the Bible and mention scripture after about God and of course Jesus, but you know who I am talking about. Jesus in Genesis alone, God is mentioned over and over again as He created the Heavens and the Earth. He was also the best speaker ever. I want you to think about that, there are good speakers, in fact a lot of people will say that our President is a good speaker (if he has notes). But God spoke and all that we have was formed except man. Yes, over and over again and again the Bible records this ...
AND GOD SAID!!
So let me move on to another of my present day heroes: Adam!! Now why in the world would I make Adam one of my heroes of today for after all he was a sinner? Yes, Adam was a sinner and that is my point here, I am also a sinner. I am not proud of the fact I am a sinner, but I am very proud of the fact that I have come to Jesus to be forgiven. But when I look back to Adam, I can see me, and if I would pick just good guys or girls from the Bible, I might have trouble in relating. By the way, ladies, I REFUSE to blame my sins on others, as Adam did, another reason I look at Adam the way I do. You see, Adam points out to me some things I don't want to be, I was there, I did that, I blamed my sins on others. No more. However, when I mess up, I discuss it with God the Father through Jesus the Son. For the account of Adam and Eve, read Genesis chapters 2 and 3.
Okay, just one more for today. He, according to the Bible, was the very first "boat builder." His name was Noah. And he is one of my heroes of today.
Genesis 6:9 - This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time and he walked with God. (NIV)
Of course for more information on Noah please go to your Bible and read the full account of Noah starting with Genesis 6:9. This man was righteous and he walked with God, and for that he was rewarded by God here on earth by getting to work for God. I want to point that out, for so many people, so many people think once you come to Jesus, once we hold hands with our Lord God, Jesus Christ, that we have heaven won. No, we must go to work for Him. We must pick up our nets and follow Jesus, we must set out and tell the good, good news about Jesus. Often when our ministry team is together we give thanks to God for trusting us, trusting us to do His work. Dolores and I pray that same way. Those of you who are pastors or great singers and on the road singing for Jesus, don't just thank Him for your talents, remember to thank Him for trusting you to go forth in His name.
I want you to think about this. If God would ask a man like Noah to build an Ark, could they get the job done? Just an hour ago I tried to talk to the township zoning officer to see if a building permit is needed for a shed. And it is not, however, I do need a permit to bring the shed on the property (missed that one with Santa's House). Now no one answered the phones and I went through the recorder three times until I got a live person, who then forwarded me to another person, where I was to leave a message, however, their music never shut off and I could not leave a message. So I will go to the township building and get it.
If you look at the work that Noah was assigned and the measurements of the Ark, I mean all the directions and in cubic measurements, I would have had to ask, "what's a cubic, God?" But the size in feet, 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, 45 feet high. Consider the football field, including both end zones and that would be a tad short. And wide, consider the distance between those side hash marks and 45 feet high. I wonder if you could build one like it in that place where the super bowl as played? No worries, God is not going to destroy the earth again!! BY WATER!!
Yes, Noah is one of my heroes of today, that came from the past. Come back tomorrow, one of my heroes from the Bible, one of my heroes of today might have looked a lot like me! Do you want to guess who it might be? I might lose my head over this one!
Dear Father in Heaven, You, Your Son Jesus and The Holy Ghost will always be number one hero in my life today and forever more. Thanks for forgiving me and taking me back from when my heroes were earthly. Thanks for the message today, Lord. Please be on this line with us daily, and again, thanks for trusting me to do work for You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Monday 2/4/13 Heroes
Praise Report, praise report ... In from Barbara who said her cold is clearing and she thanks us for prayers. Praise Report, praise report ... I woke up today and I am on the green side of the grass!! Praise report, Ruby is back home safe from the sunny south.
Prayer requests for Joyce who has a lot of stress to the point it is changing her bone marrow. Traveling mercies for Art and Elaine ... Please note, I will no longer be using last names on traveling safety requests. The reason, if the email would fall into the wrong hands, a bad guy could tell whose house might be without someone present and be ripe for picking.
Monday and the day we pray for our leaders in Washington, DC, and in our state houses and also veterans, military, police, and all who work hard to keep us healthy and safe. As for our president, please pray for his soul and safety. And now a new subject ... HEROES.
2/14/13 Heroes: Day One
When growing up, how many heroes did you have? Gosh, I had a lot of them, one might have been a "hero" sandwich,but I don't know if they made them back when I was a kid. But like most of you, I did have some heroes back then. Let me name a few today, and yes, each day I would like to name a hero or two from my past and then name one or two from the present. Let me get started.
I have told you many, many times that I had good God-fearing parents, so let me start out by saying that back in the day, my number one hero was my late mamma. I can remember one time in Sunday school when I was still wearing short pants (I hated short pants) and our Sunday school teacher was trying to tell us that we should Jesus above all others. I can remember telling him that I loved my mamma more and his answer was it was a different kind of love. My mamma was one of my heroes and my pop was one also, but by far my mamma was ahead of pop. I also had some other heroes like my big brother and Hop-along Cassidy. Of course as I got older I soon learned that my one hero would be Jesus. Sad to say, I held Him as a Hero some days, and other days I would seem to forget about Him. Today of course He is my Hero, the one in the top spot, the very top spot. Do I have any other heroes today? My answer just might surprise you, but brothers and sisters, to find out if I have more heroes you will need to come back tomorrow. I will tell you this much, as for my heroes I will tell you more about them and why I like them so much. I will also tell you about some heroes who left me down. I am also going to support some of my heroes with scripture so you can see just why they might be hero for me. But none will be above Jesus, not now, not ever. Why? Just read John 3:16.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)
Dear Father in Heaven, I love You and ask this day that You forgive me of my sins. I thank You for answered prayers, even, Lord, when the prayer is answered differently than I ask, for I want it to be Your will and not mine. Lord, please be with all those on our prayer lists, and thanks for being with us on this line. Lord, please keep blessing this line and thanks for the messages day after day. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Be blessed. Oh, and about that groundhog. He cannot tell the weather, neither can the weather folks. If you want to know the weather, look in the Bible. Friday 2/1/13 When You Pray 5
Good Salvation Friday, my dear brothers and sisters. Well, this is the second time I am writing today's message. I just went to send it and wiped it right off my screen. I must have had something in it that the Lord did not approve of. Anyway, Salvation Friday and the day we pray for the lost, those who are not saved, and also the day we pray for those of us who are saved to take God's word into the fields of harvest. Please keep praying also for those that have been on our prayer list. Please let me know when we have "praise reports." That will come out more in today's study as we wind up the Lord's Prayer. Next week, we might be still working on prayer, unless of course God changes my plans.

When You Pray 2/1/2013 Day Five.
Matthew 6:9 - This, then, is how you should pray: "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen." (KJV)
Let's now take a look at the next part of this wonderful prayer that our Lord Jesus taught us to pray. "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." Folks, this line, this part of the prayer I want you to really understand what we are praying and what Jesus wanted to get into our brains as He gave us this prayer. First let's look at the word "debts" which, folks, does not have anything to do with how much money we owe to others. The word "debts" in this case means trespasses and/or sins. I think if we look at it as "sins" it might help us to understand it more.
As we are praying this prayer we are asking God our Father in Heaven to forgive us of our sins, but we are not asking Him to forgive us of all of our sins, or at least not in so many words. What we are asking God to do is forgive us, in the same manner and/or the same amount as we would forgive someone who has sinned against us. So here we go, and I am going to put it to you just as I understand it coming from the Lord. You have someone who did you dirty or caused you a lot of trouble, maybe even put out an untrue something about you and got a big old rumor started. And you are really mad at them, but deep down you know and understand that if you want to move on with your life you must forgive them. So you forgive them a little bit, but you are still really upset and you hold some back, deep down you, well, you just hold onto a grudge. So when you are asking God to forgive you, are you really asking Him to just forgive you some, but you are saying, Lord, it is okay to hold a grudge against me, for I am holding one against others. We are praying to our Lord Jesus to forgive us, forgive us, Lord, but Lord, we are not willing to forgive all the things others have done to us. So what if we go to the Lord and the Lord would only forgive some of our sins, even if we have cleared the sins of others against us? Fear not, for God will forgive all of your sins, if indeed you have forgiven others. Hey, I did not make the rules, I am just telling them to you. Please, please, take all your prayers seriously and of course please pray in faith, for it is indeed the faith that will open heaven's doors. As in all our prayers, I believe we should ask God to forgive us before we ask for anything else from Him. In other words, ask for Him to clean you and then ask to be healed. Moving on ...
Now for the next part where we ask for our Father in heaven this, "And lead us not into temptation."
Do you remember how Jesus let the devil lead him up on the mountain and then the devil tempted Jesus about different things? Of course Jesus did not bow down to the temptations, but would we be strong enough to not give in? So we are asking Jesus not to put us into that temptation and why did Jesus put this in the prayer? I think He just wants us to pray to Him about the temptations and He will keep us away if we ask. Now folks, there are times when we might be led into temptations by our Lord if we are indeed working for Him. We might answer the call to go onto streets and talk to people about Jesus where drugs are sold and that those ladies of the evening might be working. And can we handle it? It depends. Sometime back, in Harrisburg, a Catholic priest was preaching in a downtown pub. That, folks, is a man whom you might consider is being led by Jesus into a path of temptation. And for sure if you were one who wants to reach out to others and you have just come clean from drinking you sure would not want to be led into that temptation. Are you getting the picture? In other words, the temptation would be too great for you to handle. Let's move on.
Let's look at the next part, "but deliver us form evil." This Jesus lined up to be with that last line, as we are really asking Jesus to deliver us from the evil one, and sticking with the last subject where the priest went into the pub, this line is telling me that if I have a problem like drinking, then Lord, deliver me from it. Help me get rid of my addictions. We are asking that God take us away from anything that is evil or bad or in the best way I can put it, if it does not please God. Folks, if it does not please God then I think it is evil. Amen. (By the way, the priest did good.) Now let's move on ...
The end of the prayer goes into a praise type prayer, "For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever." What are we telling God in this great prayer? We are telling Him the Kingdom is His, and He has all power, and we will give Him all the glory or we should give Him all the glory. That, folks, is why we need to get praise reports out. I know of other pastors that plead with folks to let them hear the good news also.
Brothers and sisters, we do not praise Him nearly enough, nor do we thank Him nearly enough. So let's do a tad of that right now ... Thank you, Jesus, praise You, Jesus, I love You, Jesus ... I do love You, Jesus, I really do ...
Now let's wrap it out with this closing - "Amen" - which means in this case, "so be it." Let's pray.
