Sunday 9/18/16 Holding Hands

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You! Please help me to learn and understand a computer for each time I use it, it looks different to me. Please, Lord, help me with a message today and help me to get it dispatched. Please, Lord, place Your healing hand upon Linda Miller who has had to have heart surgery. Lord, comfort and heal her so she can keep reaching out to others in Your name. All praise and honor and glory for all things today, Lord. Lord, please keep Your hand on those traveling by motorcycle today and everyday, Lord. Please be with our son Matthew and watch over him. Lord, Your healing hands on the eyes of Mark and Dolores would be appreciated. Thanks for a wonderful service this morning, Lord. Please bless Jimmie Swaggart Ministries as they reach out to others. All honor and glory is Yours this day and everyday as we lift You in praise and place our prayer requests to God the Father in the Loving Name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters: One thing that's getting harder for me is using a computer. Each time I come to the computer it seems another update to it has been done and my screen takes on a different look and I need to learn it all over again. Please pray for God to help me learn the changes. Please add Linda Miller to your prayer list. Linda has been a strong supporter of Carry The Light Ministries for many years. She was to have a hip replaced and before that she went for stress tests. Long story short, she has had heart surgery on Thursday, September 15. Please also pray for the release time ministry at Young's United Methodist Church as they start another new year. Also please keep praying for the election, and please go out to vote. Please consider supporting the candidate that will support our homeland, which of course is Israel. If you are indeed "Born Again," you need to support our homeland. Now to the message God gave me for today, "Holding Hands."

Sunday: September 18, 2016: Holding Hands

Isaiah 41:13 - For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, when I look back in my life to the days of my early childhood, back when the Dead Sea was still sick, I can remember being sent to some kind of dance school. Yes, the boys sat on one side of the room and the girls on the other. "I am not going to hold that girl's hand, I might get 'cooties'." In elementary school we would sometimes be told to stand in a circle, boy-girl-boy-girl, etc., and we, the boys, did not want to hold hands with a girl. We did not want to get 'cooties.' Do any of you remember that term? Anyway, as I grew older it was the girl's hand I wanted to hold and I was no longer afraid of 'cooties' and I must confess to this day I have no idea what a cootie was. It is funny how we change over the years. Now I am willing to hold onto the hand of anyone who will let me pray for them. Just yesterday I was out near the mailbox and saw one of our neighbors. "Hi, neighbor, how are you?" I shouted. "I am not feeling good, school has restarted and this man, a teacher, has contracted a cold." I went across the street and asked him to give me his hand and I would pray for him. His first response was no, as he did not want to spread any germs. I talked him into holding my hand as I prayed for God to heal him. I pray for a lot of people in the food store and I hold their hands to pray with them. I do feel that God will protect me as I hold these hands. And so far He has always been faithful to me. And when Dolores and I greeted people at Allenberry Playhouse for Christmas plays we would shake the hands of all who came, and never once did either of us catch a cold. God is good!!! Amen.

But I do want to bring this out to you right now, the best hand that you can hold onto is the hand of our Lord Jesus Christ! Our scripture today tells us this. "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand." So folks, reach out your hand and hold onto our Lord Jesus and if you are not sure if it is our Lord Jesus, look for those NAIL SCARRED HANDS.

How long since you reached out for our Lord Jesus Christ? Will you join me in prayer right now reaching out for Him?

Dear Father in Heaven: Right now I am reaching out for Your Son Jesus, praying He will take my hand in His and hold me tight. I love You, dear Lord, for I am one who You died for. Hold me tight, Lord, please don't let me slip and fall. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now please go forth and share the love of Jesus with all those you can reach. Love ya.

Pastor Dan
