Monday 10/6/14 Building Our Faith 3

Dear Father in Heaven:  Thank You, thank You for watching over us this day.  Thank You for protecting me this day, dear Lord.  I love You, Lord.  Please forgive me of my sins.  Dear Father, please place Your healing hand on Glenn, and Lord, please travel with them to the VA hospital.  Lord, please be with our little Mickey and heal his ear.  Lord, thanks for watching over Dolores this day.  Lord, please help us to keep building our faith.  Lord, please watch over our President and all those in our military.  Please also watch over our police and firefighters.  Please help calm Martin and watch over him.  Lord, please help me now with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched.  Also, dear Lord, please help me seek out some good prices on soup and veggies for the food pantry.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, God is very good, and I was very blessed again this day.  I had another very bad fall, and it was like God just reached out His big hand and laid me down easily.  God is so good.  I was walking with my cane and they have hard rubber tips on them.  I was pushing down hard on the cane and it hit a leaf, yes, a leaf, and on our garage floor that made the cane go right out from under me.  I hit solid down on both my knees, but God spared my head and face.  I cried some and Dolores heard me and came to my rescue and moved a few things so I could get up.  Please pray for our nation, our leaders, our military, and please pray for WW2 veteran Glenn Gamber and his family as they travel down the PA Turnpike to take Glenn to the VA doctors.  Please also pray for the family of the young man hit and killed by a train in Mount Holly.  Also pray for the trainmen.  The man was laying on the tracks.  Please pray again for our nation.  And please pray for my message and let's pray for the Lord to return.  Brothers and sisters, I LOVE YOU.  Let's do some faith building.

Monday:  October 6, 2014:  Building Our Faith (Day Three)

Mark 5:  New International Version (NIV)

21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around Him while He was by the lake.  22 Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at His feet.  23 He pleaded earnestly with Him, "My little daughter is dying.  Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live."  24 So Jesus went with  him.  A large crowd followed and pressed around Him.  25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years.  26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.  27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His cloak, 28 because she thought, "If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed."  29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from Him.  He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"  31 "You can see the people crowding against you," His disciples answered, "and yet You can ask, "Who touched Me?'"  32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.  33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at His feet and, trembling with fear, told Him the whole truth.  34 He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you.  Go on peace and be freed from your suffering.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, I will be working on this scripture both today and tomorrow, unless Jesus leads me in a different direction tomorrow.  Anyway, once again we are looking at faith and our faith, our personal faith, having a lot to do with the healing that we are asking God to do for us.  The neat part about us being healed by Jesus is if we have faith we can count on Him healing still this day, meaning this day and age.  Why?  Because the Bible tells us that He heals and points out many examples in the Bible and then gives us this scripture, one of the ones I love so much.

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.  (NIV)

I want to point out also that sometimes we are healed before we got what Jesus healed us from.  Did I lose you on that one?  Let me try again.  The flu is going around and we do not get it!  Our Lord God protected us from it.  Today, for example, my cane slipped on our garage floor, a simple thing as a leaf on a sealed floor and that cane went out from under me really fast.  I came down hard, landing on both of my knees, and the tears started to flow.  My cane was in my left hand and in my right hand I was sort of pushing a case of dog food along the floor.  I had it standing on an edge.  My chest landed on that and that stopped my face from hitting the garage floor.  So my pretty face is still intact and so is the garage floor.  (I knew you were wondering about that.)

I have also been told that God cannot heal my knees because they need cartilage and of course my answer is, did He not make the cartilage in the first place?

In the scripture today, it tells us about the sick woman who was bleeding and she had faith, thinking "if I could just touch His clothes I will be healed."  I want to point out it did not say, if I could just touch His clothes I MIGHT be healed.  She had enough faith in Jesus' healing power that she would be healed.  Also as we look at the scripture we can see that Jesus felt the healing power going out and asked the question, "Who touched my clothes?"  Jesus did not ask this because He was upset, but He wanted to assure her that the healing was a final healing, it would not trouble her again.  The very neat part about the lesson is once again we find Jesus telling someone that it was their faith that healed them.  Listen up.

Mark 5:34 - He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you.  Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."  (NIV)

Years ago I went on a bus trip to Baltimore.  It was after my motorcycle accident and my back was really barking at me.  We went to a "Benny Hinn" gathering.  I tried to get down to the circle to get Pastor Benny to lay some hands on me.  I watched his staff working the crowd, and I was soon ready to go and sit in the bus.  I know that some people have that gift of healing, they do, and that is pointed out in our Bible, as Jesus sent His disciples out to heal in the name of the Lord.  However, I trust that when Jesus is ready to remove the pain from my body it will be done according to His will for me and my faith in Him.  So I just want to keep building on my faith and keep working for Him and have you folks building your faith in Him.  Again, the  most important thing you can be healed of is your sins.  Someone say amen to that, please!  Tomorrow we are going to watch as Jesus even raises the dead.  I believe in that also.  Does He still do that today?  Of course.  If you do not believe that, read this again, please.

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.  (NIV)

Now go forth and keep your faith and share your blessings.  Love ya.  Please pass on my love to others.

Pastor Dan
