Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for a great day. Please forgive me of my mistakes and shortcomings. Please be with Allie and her brother Pastor Larry in time of decision. Please be with Grant and Wanda and help them as they help others. I pray, Lord, for Vicki this day. Guide also the new families coming in for food tomorrow. Lord, someplace out there is our son Matthew. Please keep watch over him. Please, Lord, watch over all families. Watch over our friends at The Bridges and our online flock. Please protect this line and also help me with the message and then to dispatch it. Please, Lord, be with Governor Corbett. And Lord, all honor and glory to You for the capture of the man who ambushed two Pennsylvania State Troopers, and I pray today for the shooter to come to You before he leaves this world. I pray for the soul of our President also and pray that he comes to You with our nation's concerns. Protect all those who serve You by serving others. Lord, please bless those who make a living hanging on the back of those trash trucks. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ: I want you all to know that we love you. Thanks to all of you who read and follow the line. Another new family coming for groceries tomorrow. Please keep praying for the ministries of Carry The Light. I forgot the joke at the end of the last message and a bunch of people said, "Praise God for that." Here is a question and the answer is in the Bible. "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" Now let me get to the message on Equipment.
Friday: October 31, 2014: Equipment (Day Two)
2 Timothy 2:20 - In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. 21 If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, make holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. 22 Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of pure heart. 23 Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they will produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead he must be kind to everyone able to teach, not resentful. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters: Once again we take a look at "Equipment" and there are other words for equipment, like tools, instruments, flatware, and many more. Since I love to eat, and also to cook, I want to just point out some of the tools needed to fix the meal. Gosh, we need a can opener, and a few pots and pans, some flatware (you use that to eat), and yes, some dishes. That is just a start of what is needed. We need some bigger things also. How about a stove and a fridge? I could get carried away, and say, we need a car to go and get the food. But I do not want to just labor on about cooking or I will need to get up and get a snack.
Let's look at some of the equipment, tools, instruments, and things that can be used in our walk with Jesus. First, our walk with Jesus should not just be Jesus and me, using me as an example. Once I come to Jesus one on one and are saved, my walk with Him should also be to serve Him. The best way to serve Him is of course to have faith in Him and to Love Him and share that love with others. So I just pointed out two instruments in that last sentence, "Faith and Love." I want you to see also that these tools, equipment, and instruments, are not all something you can hold in your hand, so to speak. The Bible is the best tool, or piece of equipment or instrument, that I ever had, but we also have song books. We use The Daily Bread and also get them for others. There are also prayer books. These you can hold in your hands.
In our scripture of today, it talks about articles not only of gold and silver but also of wood and clay. It says some are used for noble things and other used for not noble things. God has pointed out to me some of the same tools, the very same tools, could be used for either, for good or evil, for noble or non-noble. Even those who worship Satan will try and use the Bible against you. Gold and silver could be used for good and evil. Yes, wealth could be used for good or evil. The scripture tells us that we should "flee the evil desires of our youth." Flee, run away from repent from those evil desires. We are to pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, and we should also be with others who pursue those and call on the Lord. Some of the most important tools that we have or should have are not something you hold in your hand,, but something you hold in your heart. Think about it, folks, and the very greatest of all those tools that we cannot hold in our hands is LOVE. And yes, love can be used for evil or good. We need to use it for GOOD. This scripture also tells us that we should not get into foolish and stupid arguments. Are we not all guilty of that from time to time? I have seen some of the most foolish and stupid arguments inside the walls of the "churches." I have seen the arguments in those churches be over who is cooking for the meal that is going to be served. Christians often get caught up in these things. A lot of times God is wanting to change our direction, giving us some new equipment to use and we do not want to give up the old. One tool that we have been given is doors, they open and they shut. When we work for God, sometimes a door gets closed, and then He opens another. So this brings me to another really big tool that we cannot hold in our hands. Prayer, and that is just talking to God, and we can do that anytime. We need to know also that our number one tool, the one above all else, comes in three parts. "God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit." Without that equipment, let me call it "Equipment of Life," we are nothing and the other tools will not work. Think about it, what good is the Bible to you if you do not have the "Equipment of Life?"
What good is love if you do not have the "Equipment of Life?" In fact, it is impossible to really love without the "Equipment of Life."
Tomorrow, using the "Equipment of Life" to help others to receive said "Equipment."
Now go forth and share your equipment, tools, and instruments that God has given unto you. Love ya. Please share my love with others.

P.S. THE CHICKEN CAME FIRST. God put adults in the garden, not babies. What good would the egg be without someone to tend it?

Wednesday 10/29/14 Equipment
Our Father Whom Art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Praise God, Praise God, Praise God. Dear Father, thanks for the great prayer that Jesus taught us to pray. Thanks, Jesus, for dying for me. You have covered all of our needs and we appreciate it. Please help and heal Patsy Emig who has pneumonia again. Also, Lord, touch her husband Burt and heal him also. Lord, I pray for Governor Corbett and I pray he is elected to another term. Lord, he is a pro-life man of God. Lord, it is Salvation Wednesday on our line and I ask that You lead us to the unsaved and help us bring them to You. Now I need Your help with the message and to get it in the hands of others. In Jesus' Name, we give thanks and pray. Amen.
Salvation Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday. Work a little harder to help someone get saved. Brothers and sisters, I want to get right to the message. I do want to tell you that regardless of pain, we are just so blessed and so happy to be working for the Lord. On October 29, 1902, Daniel Webster Lehman, Sr., was born. Yes, my daddy would be 112 today. And yes, I am a Jr. Enjoy heaven, pop. See you soon. Now, Equipment.
Salvation Wednesday: October 29, 2014: Equipment (Day One)
2 Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 17 So that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NIV)
Sometimes as we traveled singing the gospel, one of us would have something wrong, a frog in their voice or something else would go wrong. We said many times, God will not send us out to do His work and not give us the equipment to get the job done. When we would be ready to sing, the voice would come back and/or the others would sing louder.
But let me back up, God does not just give us the equipment to get a job done when we are singing for Him, He gives us the equipment to get all of our jobs done. He even equips the non-believer. Think about it. When I was drifting back in my youth I had jobs at garages, and I had to furnish my own tools. I can remember purchasing my first toolbox when I worked at J.B. Martin Motors in Harrisburg, PA. I was not on my knees praying about my job back then, but God opened the door for the job and then He showed me a way to purchase tools. Those tool men (long before Tim the tool man Taylor) would stop once a week and you could buy tools and pay for them a couple bucks a week. I still purchase tools from time to time, they seem to get into one's blood. The very best tool that I ever had in my entire life is "my Bible." Oh, I had one when I was young, but it did not get used. I still have it, but have years ago gone to the New International Version. I am happy to tell you that I have "worn out" a few Bibles.
Over the years my mechanical tools would break, and in hand tools the companies will replace them free. Seems to me that God has always replaced a Bible for me. In our scripture today it tells us that God-breathed Scripture and it equips us to do GOOD WORK for Him. After I really came to Jesus, I often used my mechanical tools/equipment to show love to others in the name of Jesus. I would fix some vehicles and not charge them. Tomorrow I want to look at other tools that can be used for God.
Please let me know of some equipment that God has furnished so that you can work and do GOOD WORK for Him. Dolores just said to tell you that God furnished her a piano, and also KNOWLEDGE, which is really great equipment.
Now go forth and use that Equipment that God has blessed you with to help others. Yes, share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love.

Tuesday 10/28/14 Running 3
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for another beautiful day and the love You sent to us this day. I love You, Father. Freshen me this day to move forward for You in all we do. Thanks, Lord, for the help that You sent to us this day to clear the fallen leaves and clean the flower beds. Father in Heaven, please guide my mind and hands in all I do and may all I do be for You. Lord, please help me with the daily message and then help me get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: If you know of anyone in need of a hospital bed, we have two that can go. They are in good shape, they do not have side rails. Also, since my doctor supplied me with a new scooter, I have repaired my older one and it is ready to be GIVEN to someone who can use it. It is the power wheel chair type which runs with a joy stick. My dear wife, Air Force Veteran Sargent Dolores Lehman, would love to see it go to a veteran. It is a Pride and a larger make. We also have one that needs batteries that was gifted to us. It would be for indoor use only. It is one that uses smaller batteries. Please email me if you know of someone who is worthy. Again, they are free!!! icarrythelight4God@msn.com. Mark the subject line: Scooter needed!!
Let me get right to the message, Running.
Tuesday: October 28, 2014: Running (Day Three)
Galatians 5:7 - You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? (NIV)
Let me take my example back again to NASCAR. However, the example could be a foot race or a bicycle race. You are running a good race, you are doing really well, when all of a sudden someone cut in on you. Your car spins out, or your bicycle goes end over end and goes down. Even in those foot races I have seen the runners take a tumble. Maybe you were obeying all the rules and someone cuts you off.
So let's look at the scripture, we are running a good race, we are really working hard for Jesus and then something happened and we stopped obeying the truth. What truth, you ask? The truth we find in the Word, our Bible. Who cut us off? The answer should be easy for all of us. Sin cuts us off from the truth. Sin gets in the way of our running for Jesus, running the race for the truth. I could have blamed it on Satan, but sometimes I think we can get into trouble all by ourselves, we do not need help from Satan. Sometimes it can really mess us up. Sometimes people want to follow what might be what looks to them like the easy route to Heaven. Sometimes we fix our eyes on the wrong leader. You might remember I wrote about leaders a few weeks back.
In NASCAR, they will tell a driver who is out in front, keep your focus, hit your marks and you will be okay. However, if they are watching more of what others are doing, they can lose the focus. If we are running the race for Jesus, as we know, we should be doing, we need to keep our focus right on Him. Try your best to keep that fix on Jesus. You might remember sometime years ago that a bunch of people followed someone, I think the name was Jim Jones, and they all drank poison following him. They all died running a bad race.
John 10:11 - "I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and RUNS away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man RUNS away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep." (NIV)
In this scripture we can see in the Words of Jesus that we have but one shepherd that will take care of us: The Good Shepherd, and Jesus is that Good Shepherd, and we are indeed His sheep. It is plain to me according to the scriptures that if we lose our focus while running this race we call life we will fail. If we trust fully in man, they will run off from us leading us astray and away from Jesus. So please, as we are running, let's do all we can do to run with and for Jesus. If we do fall, He will be one you can count on to help you up, dust you off, and get you back on track.
One last example today. The United Methodist minister who officiated a gay wedding was given his credentials back by the United Methodist church. Some people at his former charge were very happy. THIS IS WRONG, IT IS AGAINST WHAT IS IN THE BIBLE. Keep your focus on Jesus. HE WILL NEVER LEAD YOU OFF COURSE. Run the race with and for Jesus.
Tomorrow, Salvation Wednesday and a new subject. What? Don't know yet. I am waiting upon the Lord.
Now go forth and share your blessings and keep running for the Lord. Love ya, and please pass on my love to others.

Monday 10/27/14 Running 2
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. What a great day You gave us this day. How blessed we truly are because of You. You look after us in all we do and You help us in our daily struggles. You send help to us when we need it most. Father, THANK YOU, bless You, Lord, I praise You, Lord. Please, Lord, watch over Grant as he travels this evening to practice singing Your music. Be with all of Your ministry team and all those who support the missions You have assigned to us here at Carry The Light Ministries. Lord, I pray for our leaders, our President as he leads this nation. I pray for our Governor Tom Corbett, and I pray You will watch over him. I know he loves You, Lord. Please help him stay in office. He supports life. Please watch over our troops, regardless of where they are stationed, and Lord, please be with our police, and Lord, help the one who shot the Pennsylvania State Troopers to be captured. Dear Father in Heaven, please help me with the message and to get it dispatched. And Lord, I pray for total peace. Come quickly, Lord, come quickly, and until that time, help us to stay on our mission to get Your Word of Salvation out to the masses. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Good evening, my dear brothers and sisters. It was indeed a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. I must tell you this short story. A young truly needy lady stopped in today to pick up food. She works hard at a part-time job and she has a dear baby boy. This is the baby I anointed with oil while still in the mother's womb (yes, with permission and others watching). I put a cross with oil on her belly. The baby was the youngest baby in Santa's arms last year at Christmas and was anointed as a baby and dedicated to the Lord. Anyway, today she was in for food and told me that someday she wanted to be able to help others. So it opened the door for me to tell her to trust in God and even out of her little check she gets she needs to give a few dollars away off the top, put it back first for God. Also even take some of the much-needed food she received and give some of it away. I pray she will do this. So I ask that all of you pray for her, and while I cannot post her name, just pray for this "young lady" to dig deeper into God.
Brothers and sisters, I know we are closing the food pantry after the Christmas distribution, but we just need to keep helping a few people who really try to hard and we will find a way to do it. Please keep the missions of Carry The Light Ministries in your prayers. Now on to the message!
Monday: October 27, 2014: Running (Day Two)
1 Corinthians 9:24 - Do you not know that in a race all runners run, but only one gets the prize. Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the game goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. (NIV)
While seeking out scriptures today to continue on with messages on running, God pointed me to 1 Corinthians 9 starting with verse 24. Most all of you know that my favorite sport is automobile racing. Yes, it is a sport and I am a NASCAR fan and Jeff Gordon, car 24, is the one I like to see win. Why 24? Because when I started watching NASCAR, Mr. Gordon would always give God the glory, win or lose. I pray he would still do that, so I pray for him and even write him a letter once in awhile, asking him to go back to being open about his praise for God. However, I do believe he is saved. I did get off the point a tad. Yesterday I watched the race coming from Martinsville, West Virginia, the top prize a really big grandfather clock, plus a lot of money. Number 24 came in second, his teammate Dale Earnhardt, Jr., won the race and got the prize.
The Bible tells us that anyone running a race goes into strict training and the race car drivers do just that. They lift weights, work out, and of course need to keep their minds sharp. Their team does the same thing and it is a team sport. Think of how strong one of the pit crew must be to lift one of those tires onto the car, with one hand while running. At the end of the race yesterday, Dale Jr. went to the winner's circle along with his team, and there they celebrated and were presented with that big prize, the grandfather clock. How long does Dale and his crew get to celebrate the victory? About a day, and the clock? Into a trophy room to collect dust. After one race a few years back at another track, the winner received a guitar, a real beauty, and that driver smashed it, that is how he celebrated the victory, he smashed the prize.
We who are saved run a race also, and surely we want to win the prize, but the race we are running is to get into heaven. And our race is also a team effort. I want to bring this out. Yesterday Dale won the race. He could have sort of slowed down a tad and left his teammate win. After all, Jeff is running for the championship, Dale is already out.
1 Corinthians 9:26 - Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly, I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. (NIV)
We Christians should not be running like a person running these earthly races and beating our bodies up winning things that go away. We beat up our bodies for the Lord. Wow, I really needed this, yes, my body is being beat up, and I still want to push forward for the Lord. PRAISE YOU, JESUS, for keeping this in front of me. If we are truly going to beat up our bodies, and yes, sports players do this in all sports, it makes better sense to me to beat it up for God. But hang on here, I did not beat up my body for Jesus to start, but doing things I liked to do. Now I have come fully to God and find out that the prize that I have won is Salvation, and more than one can win this prize. There is more than one "grandfather clock." All who come to Jesus get the prize, the trophy, and what is that prize? It is Heaven, and to be with Jesus. Think of this, a team won that race in Martinsville, but there was only one grandfather clock. Who gets it? The driver or which member of the team? In our race, and it is a team effort, and when we come to Jesus, each one of us working together we all get to heaven. Yes, it is personal between each of us and Jesus, but we need to help our teammates, we need to reach out and pull them to the feet of Jesus. After all, someone helped us.
I want you to think about this, those sports guys make millions of dollars, and we, we get Jesus, streets of Gold, a Mansion, PLUS everything we have here on earth. Maybe the best way to sum this up is say that those grandfather clocks are built in West Virginia, our gifts, well, they are HEAVENLY! Amen.
Now go forth and share those blessings, sharing the love of God and winning the race that really counts. Love ya. Please pass on my love.
Please pray for Mr. Gordon to go back to openly giving God the glory.

Who carries their home with them on their back and seems to never get tired?
A turtle!

Sunday 10/26/14 Running
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Yes, Father, I love You, and I will tell anyone and everyone I see that I love You. Thanks for loving me and thanks for sending Jesus to cover my sins. I pray I do better each day walking with You. Lord, help me to keep my eyes on You, solidly on You each day. Lord, thanks for watching over family and friends, all families, and thanks for watching over this line. Lord, thanks for the encouragement that we have been receiving. Father, please help me with the new messages that You are giving me. The subject You have placed in my mind appears like it is going to be hard, but I know that if I work with You, I can get it done. Please help me to then dispatch the message. In Jesus' Wonderful Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, what a great day. It was perfect. It is different being home on a Sunday morning and having church here in our living room. We sang some hymns, prayed, and Dr. Stanley preached. After that we had a full hour of good Southern Gospel music. All this on "Family Net" on Verizon Cable 246. Please take time to pray for peace.
Sunday, October 26, 2014: Running (Day One)
Proverbs 4:1 - Listen, my sons, to a father's instruction; pay attention and gain understanding. (NIV)
God gave me the subject of running this morning as I was getting ready for church. I have prayed about it and find it is a very interesting subject, but it might not be the easiest one He has given me.
One of the first things that comes to my mind is how everyone is running anymore. I want you to think about that. Right now there are many, many people running for political office. How many people run to stay in shape? Some people run on a treadmill. Some folks are running toward things and others seem to be running away. For me, I can't run anymore. Gosh, you run for the phone, you say things like I need to "run to the store." How often when we are "running, do we fall?" Think about it. I have a very dear friend who runs as he is working, and I keep telling him, "don't run." Most of us at one time or the other have "run to the bathroom!"
Let's research the scripture of today. Proverbs 4:1 tells us to listen to a father's instruction. Let's take that deeper and say we need to listen to our earthly father's instruction, but we also need to listen to our Heavenly Father's instructions.
Proverbs 4:12 - When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. (NIV)
As I research more this week, we do need to keep our focus on our Lord, and if we do, if we keep our eyes on our Lord, our steps will be sure, and when we run, we will not stumble. Our Lord will light up our paths and block us from stumbling. However, if we just look away for a minute we can fall. Why? For Satan will be right there to trip us up. The very second we lose that focus on God we could stumble right into the arms of evil. Think about that, brothers and sisters, and pray about it. Again, this one is going to be hard. I feel it coming, but I do believe this is whee He wants me to go. More on Running in the days to come.
Now go forth sharing your blessings and keeping your eyes upon the Lord. Love ya. Please pass on my love.

Thurs/Fri 10/23-24/14 Contagious 4
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Please forgive me of my sins. Thanks for watching over this line and protecting it. Please be with all Your children today and thanks for watching over ours. Please be with our President and other leaders and help them, Lord. I pray for President Obama, first praying he is saved and then that he would come to You with all things before he brings them to the nation or anyplace else. I know You are in charge of all things and I pray he would understand that. Watch over all of our military and please, Lord, watch over our police officers. We see just how fast they can come under attack. Thanks for taking Elaine through her surgery and we ask You work with her in her recovery. Be with Anna Marie and help her, dear Lord. Thanks for the sunshine and the Sonshine today, Lord. Please help me now with the message and to dispatch it. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
My dear brothers and sisters, it is a truly beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Please keep praying for Carry The Light Ministries as we move forward with our planning. We are working on other things, and we need to be covered with prayers as we move forward. Pray as always for God's will to be done. I will tell you this, if it is God's will for us to do what we are praying about, it is really exciting, really exciting. I need to be making a few more contacts. Thanks for your prayers and ongoing support of Carry The Light Ministries and the missions of the ministry. Please cover our police with your prayers. Today I want to wrap up on being Contagious and will be starting a new subject. What is it? I don't know, God did not point it out to me as of this time. Let me get to the message.
Thursday/Friday, October 23-24, 2014: Contagious (Day Four)
Titus 3:1 - Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, 2 to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate and to show true humility toward all men. (NIV, New International Version)
Titus 3:1 - Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work. 2 To speak of evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. (KJV, King James Version)
Titus 3:1 - Remind your people to obey the government and its officers, and always be obedient and ready for any honest work. 2 They must not speak evil of anyone, nor quarrel, but be gentle and truly courteous to all. (TLB, The Living Bible)
The Apostle Paul wrote this to Titus, a man that he had led to the Lord.
Today I want to pass this information on to you for this will help you in being "Contagious" in leading people to the Lord. So today I remind all of you to be subject to rulers and authorities, which means our leaders and our police officers. I think this is so important that I typed out three different versions of the Bible for you to look at. Let me line up a few things.
One, no one ever said it would be easy to be a Christian and follow after Jesus and not sin. We are all sinners, and even after we are saved, "born again," and have been washed in the blood of Jesus, we will sin, we should try our best not to, but when we do, we need to confess those sins to the Lord and keep going on working for Him. Titus was a pastor after he was led to the Lord. There was only one man who never sinned, and that was Jesus. I used all three versions to point out to you what must be done. No, not easy. We are to be obedient, peaceable, considerate, speak no evil of any man. Do not be a fighter, but gentle. We are to be courteous, do good honest work and help others. We are also to be humble.
I think there was a country song that started like this. "Oh, Lord, it is hard to be humble when you are perfect in every way." Well, brothers and sisters, Jesus was perfect in every way and He was the most humble man who walked the face of this earth. He never bragged about His work. In fact, He did not want others to tell people of His work back then. He was humble indeed. When we look at all the translations and it tells us we are to obey our government and its leaders, sometimes you think you just want to go out and hold up a protest sign against them. We need to stand up for Jesus and put no one else down. Remember we are working for our Lord, our King, our Savior, and we are trying to get others to come to Him, and we do not want to drive others away doing it. We need good pastors and churches and people need to get to those GOOD BIBLE BELIEVING CHURCHES FOR FUEL. But remember those of us on the outside of the church walls need to be working to get people to Jesus to be saved and then on to a church to grow in faith. One really hard-working man for Jesus that I know and love dearly came to Jesus at his home watching television. Yes, my dear brother Doug Boyer came to God watching the Couriers on television as they were singing and preaching. Doug and those men of the Couriers, plus Tim Beitzel and a few others, helped me become deeper and deeper into Jesus after Dolores introduced me to them.
You see, these men were and are still Contagious for the Lord, and we need to keep adding more and more people who are contagious for the Lord, for evil is growing and growing all around us. We need not know when Jesus will return, we just need to get all those we can to be saved before He does return.
Please, brothers and sisters, don't get all worried over things like Ebola. Gosh, if you are going to get worried over something, think about all the people on the road texting while driving or driving drunk, and still you can't go through life worrying over a lot of things. Cast those burdens to the Lord and try not to take them back. That is hard to do.
The Bible tells us to be working and do honest work. I will tell you the same. And please love our Lord above all others, above your spouse, your children, your parents, and then love all others next. Even those you think you need to hate, you are commanded to love. You do not need to hang out with them, but you need to friend them. Maybe, just maybe, you will be the one leading one of those you do not like to the Lord. Once that happens they will never be the same. And in closing, let me tell you once again, we are all going to mess up.
Remember this, Jesus was sent to have our sins cleared from before, for today and forever. In other words, our sins are cleared once you come to Jesus. Now go forth and share your blessings, while being that Contagious person for Jesus and know that He loves you, and I love ya also. Please pass on the love of both of us.

Wednesday 10/22/14 Contagious 3
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You!! Please forgive me of my sins. Help us to be contagious in telling others of our love for You. Thanks for waking us this day. Thanks for being with families and friends. Lord, it is school bus safety week. Please watch over all of those who use school buses in any way and help the drivers be contagious and courteous with the children and the children with them. Help the drivers of vehicles be alert for the school bus and watch for children crossing the streets. Please help us get into the fields of harvest and work seeking out the lost on this day we call Salvation Wednesday on this line. Please help me with the message and then to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, it is National School Bus Safety Week. If you drive a school bus, please drive it safely, and not just this week. Drivers of cars, it is your duty to stop for a school bus that is picking up or discharging children. The red lights and stop sign should be on, but once in awhile they fail. So if you see a school bus stopped picking up or letting off kids, please stop. There are two exceptions. One, if the school bus is sitting curbside, edge of the road, and in front of a school where the kids can get off the bus and walk right into the school without crossing the street, you can pass. 15 MPH. The school bus red lights should NOT BE ON. Also if you are going the opposite direction on a road divided by a barrier in the middle. On four lane or more roads that just have turning lanes in the middle, YOU MUST STOP.
It is Wednesday and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line, so let me get going with the message, Contagious 3.
Salvation Wednesday, October 22, 2014: Contagious (Day Three)
1 John 3:11 - This is the message that you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. (NIV)
2 John 6 - And this is love; that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is we walk in love. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, what d we really want to be Contagious with as a Christian? Love, yes, LOVE. Love is a really wonderful four-letter word, and of all gifts given to you by the Lord, love is the greatest, for without love you really have nothing. Making Love has become a term for sex, and that is not what is meant by sharing Love. One way we can really become a Contagious Christian is to share love, meaning the love of Jesus and our love which comes from Him.
Just a note to tell you that in 2 John 6, that is the verse, there is only one chapter in 2 John. I also want to point this out. Christianity is NOT a religion, it is a Relationship!!! And that relationship is between Jesus and each of us on a personal level. You need to have a personal relationship with Jesus to be saved. Also, I want to point out there are many races, but only one human race. Being "red or yellow, black or white," or any color or blend or colors does not add more races. We need to remember that when we are talking with others. All of God's people make up the Human Race, even those who do not believe He made them. Okay, back to being Contagious for our Lord Jesus on this Salvation Wednesday.
Since it is School Bus Safety Week, let's talk about how we might lead people to Jesus where we cannot really talk to them about Jesus. Here is what I would tell drivers who drove while I was at Central Dauphin School District. First, when you get on the "Yellow Cheese" as the kids now call the bus, I told the drivers to pray, even praying as they checked out their bus for the run. I also told them to SMILE, and when the kids would get on the bus in the morning, say Good Morning, and do it with a smile and if you know their name, say it. "Good Morning, Sally, or Good Morning, Danny." When you get them to school, as they get off the bus, tell each one to "Have a good day," and to smile at them. Reverse that when they get on the bus in the afternoon. As they get on the bus, greet them from the driver's seat and smile and say, "I hope you had a good day." When you discharge them at their home bus stop, "Have a great night, I will see you in the morning." You could to preach to them, but you could wear a cross, but the best way to win one for the Lord is by showing your love for them. And this works the same in an office, on your job, and it is not always easy, but showing the love of Jesus for others is a "Command."
My dear late mamma used to tell me these things. "Kill a person with kindness." And you can "catch more flies with honey than vinegar." In other words, regardless of how people treat you, you treat them with the love of Jesus. Okay, that is enough for today.
Go forth now and share your love and smiles with others. Love ya. And please pass on my love and my smile.
Pastor Dan
Question: I followed my mamma's rules. Now can anyone tell me what to do with all the flies?

Monday 10/20/14 Contagious 2
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Thanks, dear Lord, for the blessings of this day. Thanks for watching over families and our flock on this line and our former flock at The Bridges. Lord, thanks for watching over Patsy and Burt. Both need Your healing hand, Lord. Lord, so many people are suffering from depression. Please cover them with Your healing hand. Lord, please help me with the message and help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: First, let me wish our oldest daughter Danelle happy 50th as she turns that Tuesday. We are blessed to have two daughters, both with "Contagious smiles." Please keep praying for Patsy and Burt. Other prayers needed for Jeff, Glenn, Marie, Grant, and Wanda. Please pray also for all people who suffer from depression. I do not mention names on this, it is very private. Right now we have about ten requests for prayers for depression. I was blessed today. I went to our son's garage, had my car inspected, etc., and he paid. Please keep Leslie in your prayers. I need to get to the message, Contagious.
Monday, October 20, 2014: Contagious (Day Two)
John 15:5 - "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing." (NIV)
I told you that we would discuss some ways you might become "Contagious" as a Christian and how you might best spread the Word of God to others. Let's look first at our scripture as Jesus tells us that we are to stay connected to Him. Yes, that is what this means. Now this does not just apply to being Contagious when when talking about the Lord to others, it is in all we do. It tells us that in the Bible. Jesus is telling us this, and while we might think we can go apart from Him and bear MUCH fruit, you cannot. You just think you can. So let's start out by doing this. If you are not attached, let's take care of that right this minute.
Dear Father in Heaven, I have slipped and came apart from You and I need to attach myself back to You. I need You to mend me and heal me so that I am once again attached. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now that prayer is for one who feels like they have been cut off from the Lord. However, you would have needed to cut yourself off from Him. When we look at a branch on a tree, once we saw that branch off, it dies. Now while in a tree that grows from the ground, you cannot put that branch back on. But PRAISE GOD, if we become apart from Jesus we can reattach as He will hold His arms open and welcome us back.
Okay, how do we work for the Lord, how can we be Contagious as a Christian and not drive someone away? Fist, have Jesus in you and then people will see that, and trust me, it shows. Put on your Jesus smile when you greet people, and remember, all people have pain, all people have problems, so we must push forward past that pain. Look at your cup as half full, not half empty. In the course of a day, look at the best things that happen and dwell on them, and not the worst. When you are in your office, you do not need to be telling your co-workers scriptures all the time, just put some nice things around you and pictures of your family and remember that Jesus heads up your family so put a picture of Him on your desk.
Trust me on this, I have messed up even when I had a picture of Jesus on the wall, and that lets others know that while you love Him, He will also forgive you when you mess up. However, try your very, very best to live up to the standards of Jesus, but remember we are all sinners, those who are saved and those who are not. Treat all people equally, remember when God sends rain, it covers the believers' lawns and the non-believers' here on earth.
Here is something that will drive people away. If you take your Bible the first time you meet someone, believer or not, and get loud while pointing to the scripture in the Bible, you will turn them off. You can be Contagious by praying for others. Please do not be afraid to take one's hand and pray for them. Please be sure that before you touch a stranger you have their permission. I have prayed for a lot of people in the food store, people I do not know. You might see them struggling and you ask them, "Are you okay?" The answers might surprise you. If you say, "can I pray for you?" and they say yes, you still need to ask before you touch them. I say, please give me your hand, and then I pray for them.
My assignment from God has changed. In the food store I am the one on the scooter with the basket, and people are always asking me, can I reach something for you? Sometimes I say please, and other times I say I can get this, thanks anyway. I guess my point is, if you really want to be Contagious as a Christian, YOU CAN DO IT, regardless as long as you stay attached to Jesus. You really can get it done. Some days it is not easy, and I don't want you to think it is always a "piece of cake," for it is not, but you can do it. Also some things that might help you: Have the phone number with you of people who you know will pray with you over the phone. Have more than one person for people cannot always break from what they are doing to pray with you. Yes, Christians need prayer, and sometimes we need that prayer of support right then and there.
I have gone on long enough today, more on this tomorrow. In the meantime, go forth and share your blessings, and you can pray for people anytime, even when you are not with them. God's line is always open. Use it often from wherever you are, and remember He can even hear your prayers for others when the one you are praying for can't.
Love ya. Please share the love of Jesus and my love with others.

Sunday 10/19/14 Contagious
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much! Please forgive me of my sins and help me repent from sinning in the future. Lord, I pray today for Pastor Dr. Charles Stanley and ask Your touch over him. Lord, I pray for safety for those on the roads as the colder weather comes in. Lord, I pray for our President and his staff and all of our leaders. Thanks for our veterans, including one we call "Navy" on this her birthday. Please watch over our troops and protect them and bring them home safe and very soon. I pray that a cure is found for Ebola and all people are healed from it. Please help me now with the message and then please help me to dispatch it. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: Have I told you lately that I love you? Well, brothers and sisters, I am telling you now. Yes, I know I sign off by saying "love ya," but I wanted to be sure you really know it. Please pray for a cure for Ebola and please pray not just for Americans, please pray that the cure reaches out to those in other countries. I know Dr. Stanley is 80 years old, but his health has changed. Please pray for him. Does anyone know what is wrong with him? He is sitting down to preach. As we make changes in Carry The Light Ministries, I have told all of you, giving up on working for the Lord is NOT an option. Please keep praying for the ministry. Thank you. Now let me get to the message.
Sunday, October 19, 2014, Contagious (Day One)
Proverbs 11:30 - The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. (NIV)
With all the talk about the Ebola and how "Contagious" it is, I just wanted to talk some about being contagious. I love looking back to the days of my childhood, you know, streets of dirt and the Dead Sea still sick. By the way, one of those two is true! Anyway, I can remember a few things about what happens to prevent some from being contagious and some other things. Back in those days we had to be vaccinated for Small Pox before we went to school and we had a vaccination mark to remember it. I guess now kids get shots and parents keep the records. I can remember my mamma taking me to drink some stuff in a cup to prevent Polio. Those things were contagious for sure. Then there as "Ringworm." I had that, got it from the back of a seat in the movies. You had to wear a scarf over your head and could not go to school (I loved that part). Now there have been so many other things along the way and right now it is the Ebola.
I just want to tell you today that I WANT TO BECOME CONTAGIOUS! Oh, yes, I do, I really want to become contagious. Do you? But hold on here, please hear me out. I want to become a "Contagious Christian." I want to infect others with the Love for Jesus. I want to infect them so they will receive Jesus as their personal Savior. Our scripture tells us that the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. And what does it mean to be the fruit of the righteous and who produces it? A really wise person will produce that fruit, and I pray that we who are the wise, we who really want to win souls, will make this fruit of righteousness so tempting that it will look as good to the unsaved as the fruit in the garden looked to Adam and Eve. You know the fruit they were told not to pick. Only in this case it is not a real tree, this tree of righteousness, it is we Christians who need to make The Word of God look really inviting to all the unsaved that look at us.
This week we are going to take a look at how we should look, how we should present ourselves to win some people over to the Lord. We need to be getting these lost souls to the feet of Jesus. Please come back this week and we will look at how we might do this. But for now, it is time to say ...
Please go forth now and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love.

Safety Message About Frost
Dear Father in Heaven: Please help me with this short safety message, and I pray this message is spread around. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: For those of you in cooler and colder climates, I would like to give you just a few quick safety tips.
We have frost and freeze warnings predicted for tonight. Frost can freeze to the roads causing really bad "BLACK ICE." You can get it with freezing rain also. Be careful in those colder areas. It does not take much to send your vehicle spinning. "Black Ice" is ice on the road that you cannot see, so it looks like you are driving on the road surface.
Wet leaves will also cause you to slip and slide.
Rear wheel drive, front wheel drive, four wheel drive, all wheel drive, not one can stop you on ice, none, zip.
Slow down in advance and be alert and by all means clear your windshield.
I will have more safety tips as we head toward winter.
Please go forth and share your love with others by telling them to slow down on bad roads and expected bad roads.
Love ya.
Pastor Dan
Why do some cars roll over?
Because drivers are too dumb to follow safety rules. Amen.

Friday 10/17/14 Follow The Leader 3
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very, very much. Please forgive me of my sins and help me keep my attention. My mind seems to drift. Thanks for watching over this line and all who use it. I pray today, Lord, for our leaders, our nation's leaders. Bless and protect our troops, and Lord, please also bless and protect all those who are working with Ebola, and heal those who have contracted this disease. Please be with families, all families, and help them. Please stop the violence on our streets between gangs, family members, and all who want to harm and kill others. Lord, help our troops stop the terrorists. Lord, please help me with the message and then help me to dispatch it. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Happy Friday from the Southern Location of the North Pole. I ask that all of you might cover both Dolores and me in prayer. The pain level for both of us is very high, and in my case I am sure it is taking away from my writing. We trust God will take care of us and we shall keep pressing forward working for Him. Please remember to get out and vote. In Pennsylvania, please consider Governor Tom Corbett. He truly is a good CHRISTIAN man, and I know this because I have asked him and I have anointed him with oil more than once and had prayer with him and for him and his family. This was done on the State Capitol steps in Harrisburg, PA.
Also, dear brothers and sisters, please keep pressing forward for our Lord God and getting His Word about Salvation out into the fields of harvest. Keep looking up as you press forward for God, for we know not when He will return. Soon, I pray. Now let me get to the message.
Friday, October 17, 2014: Follow The Leader (Day Three).
Matthew 4:18 - As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 "Come, Follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20 At once they left their nets and followed Him. (NIV)
This scripture tells us about when Jesus called His very first disciples, Peter and Andrew. One thing that jumps right out at me is that they did not question Jesus, they just left the nets, their jobs, and followed Jesus. How many times has Jesus had to call us before we answered the call, or have we answered the call at all? I mentioned in my last writings about Follow The Leader and how we could follow the wrong leader because there is only one really just and perfect leader and that is Jesus Christ.
I am not sure in all cases Jesus wants us to leave our current job and just follow Him, but I am sure when He calls if we would answer that call, He would/will provide for our needs. Hey, He does that anyway.
Do you remember when you were called? I mean, when you really picked up the cross of Jesus and started to follow Him? Before you answer, listen to these words.
Luke 9:23 - Then He said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, He must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." (NIV)
So what does it mean to take up your cross and follow Jesus? Simple, it means to follow Jesus we will need to have self-denial, and complete dedication and obedience to Jesus. And we must do that every day. Now when I said simple, I meant it was simple to tell you, for it surely is not a simple thing to do. Most of you know I was a "lost son," meaning I was raised a Christian and drifted. I came back little by little, like a child climbing the slide of the sliding board. I would go up some, slide back down, run back up further the next time and slip again, and over and over until I did reach the top. "Saved, Born Again, Washed in His Blood." However, that is really just the start of knowing Jesus, then after you are saved, you need to get out and work for Him. And after you get started working for Him, it is great, it is wonderful, but simple, no, not at all.
Self-denial? I am not sure I practiced that a lot in my life. Oh, I worked for Jesus, and still do, and I am dedicated to Him, for I never want to go back to my old self. Willing obedience is one I must work on hard daily. I will never forget when I was called to go full-time, to lay down my net and follow Jesus. It was more like have my motorcycle laid down in traffic to get my "full-time" attention. After that I knew I was "called into His service." But even then it took awhile until I was ready. I did not just walk off my job at the school and close down my service station, I had to make plans, or so I thought. I mean after all, I had bills to pay, etc., so on and so forth. So it took some time and then I started working harder and harder for Him. Now it is cut back time, but that is hard also for I do want to keep working for Him, and so does Dolores. So we press on.
I have found out over the years that "your assignment from God" will change often and you need to be willing to pray about it and then make some changes. Sometimes it will even require you to pick up some new nets that you have laid down and relocate. In some cases pastors get shifted from one church to another. Priests are transferred, gospel singers are traveling all the time. People work full-time and part-time for the Lord. There are many jobs other than working for Jesus full-time where you can witness for Him, which is working for Him. Sometimes your full-time work might call for a need to transfer. I have a dear friend, Tom Sansoni, who loves working for the Lord, and He is called toward working the prisons. Over the years his work has relocated him, and after he would settle in at the new place he would find a way to get back on that witness trail working for Jesus.
Back when Jesus walked the earth, He would walk up and call His disciples. The difference today is He is not walking up to us, but He is still calling on us to work, pray about it, then listen for His answers, and be careful, and be sure it is our Lord God calling on you and not a voice of evil. Remember both sides want us. In ending this day I want to ask you this simple question. HAVE YOU ANSWERED THE CALL?
Let us end this day with a salvation prayer.
Dear Lord: Forgive me of my sins. Wash me white as snow and come into my heart and stay. Help me repent of my sins and follow you. I love You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love to others.

Wednesday 10/15/14 Follow The Leader 2
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Please forgive me of my sins. Thanks, dear Lord, for watching over our families and our flock online and our flock at The Bridges. Lord, thanks for bringing Art and Elaine home safely. Praise You for that, Lord. Bless the doctor who is leaving his practice to work in missions. Father, I pray for all those who struggle at work each day and I pray that You have Your hand on every workplace across this land of ours. Lord, help those who do not have jobs to find them, and help those folks who will not go to work to get up and get going. Lord, Your word tells us that if we will not work, we should not eat. Lord, help us teach people that as we hand them food. Lord, please protect those in the path of the hurricane. Lord, please be with Your servant "Richard" and take care of him and his family. Lord, it is Salvation Wednesday on our line. Please, Lord, help us to seek out the lost and guide them to Your feet to be saved. Now, Lord, if You would please help me with the message and then help me get it dispatched, I would appreciate it. In The Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Salvation Wednesday, brothers and sisters, and the day we work harder to bring in the lost to be saved. We really need to get the word out, brothers and sisters. As you watch the events in the news, you can read about these things also in your Bible. Please pray today for all those in line of the storms that are coming. There is a category four hurricane heading for the Bahamas. Did you see the school bus on the news? The driver was DUI on drugs. Praise God, no accident and no one hurt. They also confirmed what I had said the other day. Very, very safe transportation. Twenty times safer than riding in the car with their parents. Please pray today for God's servant Richard "Dick" Warden. Dick was and still is president of my senior class, 1959, "John Harris High School," Harrisburg, PA. Let me get to the message, Follow The Leader. (Yes, I took Tuesday off.)
Salvation Wednesday, October 15, 2014: Follow The Leader (Day Two)
Numbers 32:10 - The Lord's anger was aroused that day and He swore this oath: 11 Because they have not followed me wholeheartedly, not one of the men twenty years old or more who came up out of Egypt will see the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, 12 not one except ----------- (NIV)
Some people think because we have an "all loving God" that He never gets upset or angry. I wanted to bring this out today as it indeed shows that God did get angry and even said that because some had not followed wholeheartedly they would not make it to the "promised land." Now there were some exceptions, and you can pick up your Bible and keep reading from Numbers 32. My point today is to show you that we need to really get serious about following our dear Lord Jesus.
I mentioned that we have a lot of leaders, and we do. Think about all the leaders you have had in your life. Your parents, maybe a scout leader. I had my very first boss, who gave me a paper route, he was our leader in news delivery. Not one of us have had just one or two leaders. Think about it, take a good look at it. How many of you have had leaders who at one time or another failed you? If my kids, now grown, would be honest, they would tell you that I failed them. Oh yes, and they forgave me years ago. I also managed school buses, and yes, I made mistakes as the leader of the fleet. I am telling you that we have all had leaders who failed us, and as leaders, we for sure, sometime in our lives, failed as a leader. So we must make some judgment calls along the way. No, I am not judging others as to getting into heaven, but we do need to make some judgments about who we follow, who we tell our children and others to follow. Even when you sit in our church you must make some judgments, for you must decide if your pastor is teaching and preaching from the Bible or is he or she just blowing smoke? You know, talking about things not in the Bible. Example? Sure. If your pastor is approving gay marriage, it is time to pack up and find another church. Look, you must love everyone, but you must hate the sins of those. Look, I even hate my own sins, and I surely love myself. (We are told that in the Bible.) You have heard me say often everyone needs a GOOD CHURCH, but the real bottom line is to check it out on your own. Even with that said, we must follow the real leader, the one who never sins.
Now let me just talk about this wholeheartedly thing. It fits in so many places. Let's start with raising children. It should be done wholeheartedly, but what does that mean? Do it right. Work hard at it. Then what about at your job? Any job worth doing is worth doing right. Oh, they don't pay you enough? And you say, if they give you a raise you will work harder? How about working wholeheartedly for the boss and then asking for the raise? In whatever yo do, do it to the best of your ability and work hard at it. But don't follow the leader if they are leading you wrong. Okay, time for me to go for today, so why not work getting people to the real leader who never fails? Tomorrow we are going to look again as we "Follow The Leader." How are we called? To what level are we called?
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love.

Monday 10/13/14 Follow The Leader
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Please forgive me of my sins, even those in the back of my mind. Please, Lord, watch over and heal according to Your will, Phyllis Baker and take care of Elmer so he can take care of her. Please, Lord, comfort Vicki in the death of her cat. Lord, please watch over Glenn and Marie. Lord, please touch Dolores and carry her pain. Lord, please be with our President and keep him and his family safe, and Lord, I pray for his soul. Please, Lord, be with our troops regardless of where they serve. Protect our veterans who have served us well. Please, Lord, watch over our police as they track down the killer who shot our State Police officers. Lord, protect also the K-9 tracking dogs as they are also part of our police departments. Lord, also touch my pain according to Your will for me. Now please help me with the daily message and then dispatch it. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, I welcome to the line today Phyllis and Elmer Baker. Phyllis needs prayers for healing from a stroke. Phyllis and Elmer both drove school bus at Central Dauphin School District during my tenure as Coordinator of Transportation. Elmer is still an active school bus driver, and a good one at a tad past retirement age. Elmer is 84. By the way, if you need a job and have a good driving record and a good police record, there is not one school transportation department that would not employ you. I think school bus drivers are the best drivers on the road, no exceptions, and their record across the nation will support that. I always told school bus drivers that children are not eggs; if you break a dozen, you cannot go back and get more. Now all this reminds me that I need to start writing some safety messages beside the daily message. Always, please pray for our President and other leaders, and please pray also for our troops, our police and firefighters. And PA people, please pray for Governor Tom Corbett. He is a very good man. He is pro-life. I believe he is honest. I have anointed him with oil three times and he welcomed it each time. Also beware of the "Wolf", they can bite you. Enough said. Now let em get to the message, Follow The Leader.
Monday: October 10, 2014: Follow The Leader (Day One)
Exodus 23:2a - Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. (NIV)
Back in the days of my childhood, back when the Dead Sea was still sick and the streets were still dirt, we kids would play a game of "Follow the leader." One kid would go first and the others follow, crawl under something, you followed, crawl over something, you followed, hop like a bunny, you followed (would that be the "Bunny Hop"?). Whatever that leader did, you just followed along. Of course you would take turns being the leader. I can also remember back in those days if my parents were going on a car trip with my brother and myself our car would be full, and if other families were going along in their own cars one would follow the other. Oftentimes they would put a ribbon or something on the car antenna so one could see the other ahead. Remember it was before all this fancy stuff and cell phones. Well, as kids we were playing follow the leader in the house or right outside and it was great fun. But in the cars, you needed to remember this, if you were following the leader and the leader got lost, well, guess what? You were lost also.
So why bring this up today? Well, folks, the times are different, but you can be still following the wrong leader, and if you follow the wrong leader and they are "lost," you too could become "lost." My lead-in scripture for today is that we should not follow the crowd in doing wrong. My mamma and dad would try and teach me to be a leader, not a follower. They saw I was in church, and they also taught me good work ethics. Be a leader, they said, not just someone who follows. However, there were times in my life even as a leader, not a follower, I was lost. Yes, I was, and sad to say there were others following me, even when I was lost. Sadly, there were times I was lost and did not even know I was lost. So as to not get lost, we need great leaders, and yes, I said leaders. But brothers and sisters, I will need to go right now, and yes, this will be a series, so I do pray you will "Follow The Leader" or follow along this week.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love to others.

Thursday 10/9/14 It's Heavy
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for this day. I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Lord, please be with our President and our military. Lord, please bring peace to the troubled world and Lord, protect all people from the Ebola. Lord, thanks for all that happened this day and for once again protecting me when I did something dumb. Thanks for the delivery here today. Thanks for watching over families, not just ours, but all families, and Lord, please watch over our Matthew wherever he might be, and I pray he comes back to You. Now Lord, please help me with the daily message and then help me to dispatch it. Oh, and Lord, please hear our prayers about Carry The Light Ministries. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Good evening, my dear brothers and sisters. It was a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. I need to tell you how blessed I was today. A car came and unloaded a brand new scooter, brand new, and left it for me. My doctor purchased it for me and had it delivered. I have been patching old scooters for a long time and recently purchased one out of a rental fleet for Dolores (we both use scooters). The blessings never stop when you work for God. Amen.
I am asking you all to pray about Carry The Light Ministries. God has planted some exciting things on our minds. Please, please pray. Now to the message, It's Heavy.
Thursday: October 9, 2014: It's Heavy
Galatians 6:2 - Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, 5 for each one should carry his own load. (NIV)
The scripture today tells us that we need to help carry our brothers' and sisters' burdens, and this way, we are really working for Christ. But let's not stop there, for this scripture also tells us that we are something. The Bible tells us that if we think we are nothing we are deceiving ourselves, but let's go deeper, since we are all made in the image of God, would that not also be putting God down? Think about that, God did not put together junk, and there are people we need to take care of, but we need to be working for God.
The scripture also tells us that we need to take pride in ourselves. Now do not get carried away with this. Pride does not mean you stand in front of your mirror all day and admire yourself. All of us should always take pride in what we do. "Any job worth doing is worth doing right." Also when we are doing things as Christians, we need to let people see the Jesus in us. Now I want to point out this last verse and I am going to retype this one.
Galatians 6:4 - For each one should carry his own load. (NIV)
Now you folks know I tell it like it is. Folks, the cart is getting heavy, yes, folks, It's Heavy. In America there are more and more people in the cart and at last report there are more people in the cart than pulling or pushing. As you know we have been feeding the hungry for a lot of years, and it might not be over yet, so keep praying. Anyway, we have a lot of needy people coming in for food, but we also have a whole lot of people who just will not get out of bed in the morning and go to work for a living, just plain lazy and "riding the system." There are a lot of jobs in our area, a lot of them. Now we need to take care of all those who are handicapped or cannot take care of themselves, and that needs done. Look at this scripture.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 - For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." (NIV)
Now that spells it out pretty clearly to me, but let me just repeat, we need to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.
Now look at this scripture:
1 Thessalonians 5:12a - Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you. (NIV)
A lot of people have done crimes and it is hard for them to get jobs, very hard, but people have done this to themselves, we did not do that, meaning you and me. Time for me to go, let me know what you think, and remember to keep praying for us.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya, please pass on my love.

Wednesday 10/8/14 Building Our Faith 4
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very, very much. Please forgive me of my sins. Thanks for a really great day, dear Lord. You are so much a blessing, Lord, and I love You so much. Father, thank You for taking Glenn and his crew safely to the hospital and back. Thanks for being with our comings and goings today, and Lord, please hear our prayers for Carry The Light Ministries. Father, thanks for those special blessings today. You are wonderful. Please help me now with the message and then to dispatch it. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Well, it is Wednesday and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line, the day we want to walk the extra distance to lead people to Jesus. I do want to get right to the message this evening so I can get it out and into your hands. I do ask that you keep Carry The Light Ministries in your prayers. Again I want to point out the changes we are making with the blessings of our Lord Jesus to grow the ministry, not cut it back. As I said before and will say again, we are not planning to retire from working for the Lord. Now to the message, Building Our Faith. I will be picking up again in the book of Mark:
Salvation Wednesday: October 8, 2014: Building Our Faith (Day Four)
Mark 5
21 - When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around Him while He was by the lake. 22 Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at His feet. 23 He pleaded earnestly with Him, "My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live." 24 So Jesus went with Him. A large crowd followed and pressed around Him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His cloak, 28 because she thought, "If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed." 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. 30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"
31 "You see the people crowding against you," his disciples answered, "and yet you can ask, 'Who touched me?'" 32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at His feet and, trembling with fear, told Him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."
35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. "Your daughter is dead," they said. "Why bother the teacher anymore?" 36 Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, "Don't be afraid; just believe." 37 He did not let anyone follow Him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, "Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep." 40 But they laughed at Him. After He put them all out, He took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with Him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum!" (which means "Little girl, I say to you, get up!"). 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, I left you on Monday (I took Tuesday off) with the first part of the scripture above and showing you the great faith the woman had by just believing if she could touch Jesus or even His clothes she would be healed, and yes, that happened. It was Jesus, of course, who healed her, and why? According to the scriptures, it was her great faith.
So why then do some people with great faith get healed and others do not? I wish I could answer that one, but that is up to our Lord and Savior. However, I want to point out again that Jesus does still heal, and we just need to keep our faith and hang in there. We also need to remember that we need to pray and pray as Jesus did the night before He was put to death on the cross. You all remember this, right? Jesus prayed to His Father in Heaven, who is also our Father in Heaven, that His will was to be done, not the will of Jesus. I did want to finish up the scripture in Mark because I wanted all of you to see that Jesus can still raise up the dead. Do you believe that one? I do, not let me tell you that I have seen that happen!!
A few years back, and I do not remember how many anymore, but I can remember the night ... the call came in, there was a bad accident, and it involved some of our family. In short, my granddaughter Brittney, was in a vehicle that was struck by a state plow truck, the plow not being on the truck, the hook where the plow would hang hit her in the head. The roads were bad. I started for the hospital, Dolores started calling people to pray, and prayers were answered. Brittney had stopped breathing, but right behind that plow truck was a vehicle driven by a "first responder" who restarted Brittney right there on the street. The weather was that ad that the chopper could not fly so she was taken to the hospital by ambulance. She was in bad shape, even had a broken leg which was found during x-rays. They said she could need surgery later after she got stronger to repair the leg. When it came time to operate on her leg, it was not broken anymore.
Again, why does one get healed and not another? All I can say to that is, Thy will be done. Amen. That story is true. Brittney is our granddaughter. Oh, and within the last year she had a daughter.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Shout Amen!
Go forth now and share your blessings. Love ya, and please share my love with others.

Monday 10/6/14 Building Our Faith 3
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You, thank You for watching over us this day. Thank You for protecting me this day, dear Lord. I love You, Lord. Please forgive me of my sins. Dear Father, please place Your healing hand on Glenn, and Lord, please travel with them to the VA hospital. Lord, please be with our little Mickey and heal his ear. Lord, thanks for watching over Dolores this day. Lord, please help us to keep building our faith. Lord, please watch over our President and all those in our military. Please also watch over our police and firefighters. Please help calm Martin and watch over him. Lord, please help me now with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. Also, dear Lord, please help me seek out some good prices on soup and veggies for the food pantry. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, God is very good, and I was very blessed again this day. I had another very bad fall, and it was like God just reached out His big hand and laid me down easily. God is so good. I was walking with my cane and they have hard rubber tips on them. I was pushing down hard on the cane and it hit a leaf, yes, a leaf, and on our garage floor that made the cane go right out from under me. I hit solid down on both my knees, but God spared my head and face. I cried some and Dolores heard me and came to my rescue and moved a few things so I could get up. Please pray for our nation, our leaders, our military, and please pray for WW2 veteran Glenn Gamber and his family as they travel down the PA Turnpike to take Glenn to the VA doctors. Please also pray for the family of the young man hit and killed by a train in Mount Holly. Also pray for the trainmen. The man was laying on the tracks. Please pray again for our nation. And please pray for my message and let's pray for the Lord to return. Brothers and sisters, I LOVE YOU. Let's do some faith building.
Monday: October 6, 2014: Building Our Faith (Day Three)
Mark 5: New International Version (NIV)
21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around Him while He was by the lake. 22 Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at His feet. 23 He pleaded earnestly with Him, "My little daughter is dying. Go on peace and be freed from your suffering. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, I will be working on this scripture both today and tomorrow, unless Jesus leads me in a different direction tomorrow. Anyway, once again we are looking at faith and our faith, our personal faith, having a lot to do with the healing that we are asking God to do for us. The neat part about us being healed by Jesus is if we have faith we can count on Him healing still this day, meaning this day and age. Why? Because the Bible tells us that He heals and points out many examples in the Bible and then gives us this scripture, one of the ones I love so much.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (NIV)
I want to point out also that sometimes we are healed before we got what Jesus healed us from. Did I lose you on that one? Let me try again. The flu is going around and we do not get it! Our Lord God protected us from it. Today, for example, my cane slipped on our garage floor, a simple thing as a leaf on a sealed floor and that cane went out from under me really fast. I came down hard, landing on both of my knees, and the tears started to flow. My cane was in my left hand and in my right hand I was sort of pushing a case of dog food along the floor. I had it standing on an edge. My chest landed on that and that stopped my face from hitting the garage floor. So my pretty face is still intact and so is the garage floor. (I knew you were wondering about that.)
I have also been told that God cannot heal my knees because they need cartilage and of course my answer is, did He not make the cartilage in the first place?
In the scripture today, it tells us about the sick woman who was bleeding and she had faith, thinking "if I could just touch His clothes I will be healed." I want to point out it did not say, if I could just touch His clothes I MIGHT be healed. She had enough faith in Jesus' healing power that she would be healed. Also as we look at the scripture we can see that Jesus felt the healing power going out and asked the question, "Who touched my clothes?" Jesus did not ask this because He was upset, but He wanted to assure her that the healing was a final healing, it would not trouble her again. The very neat part about the lesson is once again we find Jesus telling someone that it was their faith that healed them. Listen up.
Mark 5:34 - He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." (NIV)
Years ago I went on a bus trip to Baltimore. It was after my motorcycle accident and my back was really barking at me. We went to a "Benny Hinn" gathering. I tried to get down to the circle to get Pastor Benny to lay some hands on me. I watched his staff working the crowd, and I was soon ready to go and sit in the bus. I know that some people have that gift of healing, they do, and that is pointed out in our Bible, as Jesus sent His disciples out to heal in the name of the Lord. However, I trust that when Jesus is ready to remove the pain from my body it will be done according to His will for me and my faith in Him. So I just want to keep building on my faith and keep working for Him and have you folks building your faith in Him. Again, the most important thing you can be healed of is your sins. Someone say amen to that, please! Tomorrow we are going to watch as Jesus even raises the dead. I believe in that also. Does He still do that today? Of course. If you do not believe that, read this again, please.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (NIV)
Now go forth and keep your faith and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love to others.

Sunday 10/5/14 Building Our Faith 2
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please, Lord, forgive me of my sins, and help me keep walking with You in all I do. Thanks for saving me, dear Lord. Please be with Maura and Noah. Also be with Dan and keep him away from booze. Lord, please open the heart blockage in Barb Paules. Lord, be with Pastor Larry and Luella in the home-going of her earthly father. Thank You for his time here on earth. Please be with Elaine T. and help her through her upcoming back surgery, and also, Lord, please heal her of MS. Thank You, dear Lord, for all You do watching over this line and all our family members and friends and those who belong to our assigned flock. Please, now, Lord, help me with the message and then help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Happy Sunday, brothers and sisters. For a long time, I did not write on Sunday, I was preaching and teaching. Well, I am still a pastor, and I need to be working for our Lord and I must get back to doing that more regularly and stop giving in to pain. So brothers and sisters, please, along with the others we are praying for, please pray for Dolores and also for me. I want to get back to a few more messages on Building Our Faith. So let me get started.
Sunday: October 5, 2014: Building Our Faith (Day Two)
Mark 2:1 - A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that He had come home. 2 So many gathered that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and He preached the Word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to Him a paralytic carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven." 6 Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, "Why does this fellow talk like that? He's blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" 8 Immediately Jesus knew in His spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and He said to them, "Why are you thinking these things? 9 Which is easier; to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and walk?' 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sin ..." He said to the paralytic, 11 "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, "We have never seen anything like this!" (NIV)
Our Lord pointed me to this scripture today, and I can see why. I am thinking, would I have enough faith to go up on a roof (I am afraid of heights) and then dig through the roof, and lower someone down at the feet of Jesus to be saved? In the scripture we see the paralytic being brought in by at least four men who were carrying his mat, there might have been even more. So the four and the paralytic means at least five had great faith in our Lord Jesus to heal the one who could not walk.
Now when we talk about being healed, what is that we want to be healed from? Might it be pain like Dolores and I have, or might it be the back of Dolores, straightened, or my knees healed? (I wish I could say that I wore out my knees by praying, but I can't say that!) I was healed of cancer, what is it that you would want healed first? Healed before anything else? Let's go back up in the scripture and see what Jesus healed first.
Jesus said: "Son, your sins are forgiven." The very first thing Jesus did was forgive the man of his sins, and then He told him to pick up his mat and leave. I still have faith Jesus will heal my knees or at least take away enough pain that I do not need to go to the doctors to have my knees replaced. When Jesus decides to heal my knees, they will be healed, and until then I will keep praying about it and for Him to give me more strength to carry the pain. I am sure of this, He has forgiven me of my sins, and if I would just not sin again, maybe Jesus would then have the faith in me and heal me. Yes, I think Jesus needs to see my faith in Him so that He might build up His faith in me. I cannot read the mind of Jesus, but how often have we here on earth been friends with someone only to then do them dirt? You don't need to say anything, but I know it happens. Jesus died for me, and you also, and I know that I walked away from Him before, yes, as you all know I was a lost son, but I am back, and I am not going to let pain make me ever walk away again (it was not the cause the first time). But I confess I might do a better job at walking that line without sinning.
So today I ask myself, do I have the faith needed to be healed? Would I have the faith of the paralytic? I am for sure going to be working more on my faith. I pray as I write on Building Our Faith that you would all take a look at your faith in Jesus and maybe increase it a tad or two.
Now go forth and share your blessings and maybe a tad of your faith. Love ya. Please pass on my love.

Wednesday 10/1/14 Building Our Faith
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You! Please forgive me of my sins, and Lord, as I want to become stronger in my faith with You, help me come nearer to You and help me dig into Your word more and more. Bring the Holy Spirit over me and help me to never let Him go. Lord, I need to tell You again, I am sorry I am a sinner but I do love You and I appreciate You watching over me and over my family and friends. Please, Lord, help me with the message of today and please help me to get it delivered, both by email and those going out with Uncle Sam. Lord, please come over our nation's leaders and help them start walking with you. And Lord, may I be an example as one who loves You and set an example for others to follow. And Lord, on this day we call Salvation Wednesday, help us to lead others to You to be saved. Thanks, in Jesus's Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, it is Wednesday and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line. As I finished up on the series about Five Difficult Things, I wanted to talk about a few ways we might help to overcome the Difficult Things. The very first thing that came to my mind was to help overcome difficult things we need to build our faith with Jesus. So how do we do this? Well, let's get started by going to the Bible.
Salvation Wednesday: October 1, 2014: Building Our Faith (Day One)
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (KJV)
John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In Him was life, and that life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. (NIV)
John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His Glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (NIV)
Each day we all face difficult things, and while each day we try different ways to overcome them, we surely cannot do it without our Lord Jesus. So each day we need to start with prayer, and we need to "dig into the Word." Our Bible is very, very clear that Jesus is The Word, and history proves that Jesus was truly born and was put to death on the cross. History also shows that He did in fact die and was risen from the dead to walk among the people of that time again. That is fact, folks.
I did write some scriptures today that I think will bring us all nearer to God ... first, how much God The Father loved us all, And then to show you that God was and is the Word and He Himself became flesh and walked among us. One of the things we need to pray about each day is for our Lord God to increase our faith. I have been asked point blank: Do you believe everything that is in the Bible? My answer is yes. How long, they ask, did it take God to create the world and all things in it? Creation was done in six days. Not expanded days, not days with more hours, it was done in six days the same as they are today. Read the beginning of the Bible and it will tell you that. My question in return is, do you believe in Salvation through Jesus? Most people say yes. So my point is if you do not believe in one thing, then how can you believe in anything when you are talking about the Bible?
I have been asked over the years, do you really pray for healing when pastoring The Bridges? My answer is yes, as there is no age limit on healing coming from God. Right now I have a ton of pain, a lot of pain. So is Jesus going to heal me? I believe it will happen. Am I going to get into heaven? YES, FOR I AM BORN AGAIN. My Lord God tells us that if we believe and confess, we will be saved. As for healing, I have seen healing in my body. I had cancer, I say HAD CANCER, and God healed it. I could have been killed in a motorcycle crash, but God spared my life. I truly love and believe in God, and I believe we can overcome some of those difficult things. Jesus is still alive, He is with our Father in Heaven and we have the Holy Spirit to help us. One thing that helps me when I am having bad days is keeping myself filled with The Holy Spirit. How do I do this? I write to you folks, I read my Bible, I listen to some good gospel music, and I sing and sing, even making up songs. I want to leave you with one more scripture today.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (NIV)
I want to leave you with this also. Will you sing with me today? This is the day that the Lord has made.
"This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made.
We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made."
"This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made.
We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made."
"This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made.
We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made."
Dear Father in Heaven, forgive us this day, forgive me this day and clear my name so I can get into heaven. I believe Jesus died for me and was risen from the dead. Save me, Jesus, please save me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love.
