Wednesday 6/4/14 Going Up 2

Dear Heavenly Father:  I love You.  Please forgive me of my sins this day, and help me to repent and walk nearer to You each and every day.  Please help me now on this day we call Salvation Wednesday to reach out to the lost for You.  Help this message get carried by You to where You want it to land.  Please  help me write it, dispatch it and honor You with it.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, it is Wednesday and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line, the day that we who are "Born Again" go to seek out the lost for Jesus and get them to His feet to be saved.  We must always remember that we do not have the saving power, only Jesus.  Now let me get to the message.  First, this praise report.  While taking the snow plow off my truck today, I dropped a very heavy part and it hit me on the back of the head.  (Hard to explain but my head is even harder.)  No, the plow light bar did not bend!!  Now to the message, Going Up.

Salvation Wednesday, June 4, 2014, Going Up (Day Two)

John 14:1 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God.  Trust also in me.  2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."  (NIV)

Yesterday in our scripture we saw how Jesus was taken up before their eyes (the Disciples and others).  He was taken up in a cloud of light.  Today in our scripture I want to point out to you that we are not to let our hearts be troubled.  Why?  Because our Lord Jesus has told us to Trust in God The Father and also in Him.  Now brothers and sisters, if we cannot trust in God The Father and Trust in Jesus, who can we trust in?  Jesus is also telling us there is a mansion waiting for us when we arrive, and also and here is a really great big promise ... He is going to prepare the place for us and then HE IS COMING BACK TO GET US.  How about that!!!  Now why is He coming back for us?  I only know one real reason I can think of for this, since we are surely not worthy of it.  He really, really loves us.  And here in scripture is proof of that.

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."  (NIV)

Now brothers and sisters, we have a job to do, we must get ready for our Lord Jesus, and by that I mean we need to be saved.  We need to have a one-on-one personal relationship with our Lord Jesus.  Not just say it but believe it, and beyond that, LIVE IT!!  It must have been really neat to be with Jesus back then and watch Him and even walk with Him.  But for me, I find these times very exciting.  I hate to see what is going on all around us.  So many people wanting children and so many  THROWING THEM AWAY.  And I could get started on a ton of things.  Brothers and sisters, we really need to repent and we need to stop putting it off.  One of these days when we least expect it, like a thief in the night, our Bible tells us, God The Father will call on Jesus and also tell old Gabriel and tell him to get his horn.  The last trumpet will sound the call, and Jesus will come back to get us.  Tomorrow we are going to look into scripture that tells us that we must be "Born Again."  (I think those two words scare some people.)  I have been personally asked this.  Are you one of those "Born Again" Christians?  And I said, if you are not 'Born Again," then you are not a Christian at all.  We will look that up, we will look up about repenting, and we will check the scriptures in Romans for some instructions.  Then on Friday we are going to have communion and confess ourselves to the Lord to end the week.  So brothers and sisters, hang in there with me for we are indeed "GOING UP."  Unless of course you want to go down to hell.  Your choice, of course.  I have decided to follow Jesus, and there is no turning back, no turning back.  Even if I must go it alone, I, Pastor Daniel Webster Lehman, am not turning back.  I have faith, and I trust in my Jesus and pray you do also.
