Monday 12/2/13 About Salvation

Dear Father in Heaven:  Forgive me of my sins, please, dear Lord.  Clean me with the blood of Jesus and wash me as white as the new driven snow.  Thanks, Father, for doing that for me each day.  Please, dear Lord, help me this day to repent of my sins and walk stronger and stronger with You each and every day of my life.  Bond us together, dear Lord.  Be with families this day, Lord.  Protect the hunters going into the woods and help the bounty be used and not wasted.  Lord, we pray today for a job for Craig.  Now, dear Father in Heaven, please bless me with a message right from You to my heart and mind and help me get it out this day, and yes, I will need your help to dispatch it.  I love You, Lord Jesus, with all my heart.  Send Your Holy Spirit over us and anoint us to do Your work.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters.  We hear of so much, almost every day has a name:  Black Friday, Local Purchasing Saturday, Sunday Sales, and today is Cyber Monday.  I don't know what Tuesday is but Wednesday is SALVATION WEDNESDAY on this line and I think  we should push it out to churches, maybe it could help get mid-week service going again in churches where at one time there were "prayer meetings" on Wednesday.  The churches were not full, but the faithful would come and read some scriptures, get around the piano and sing, and yes, pray and pray and pray.  I remember as a really young child being taken to Sunday School, church, and yes, prayer meetings.  And yes, I had to behave.  I was not permitted to take toys to church, sometimes my daddy would give me a pen and I could draw on the bulletin.  But we (my brother and I) had to listen.  I learned a lot back in Sunday School and church.  I learned that Jesus loves me, and Jesus was born in a barn for there was no room in the inn.  I learned about Mary and Joseph and I learned that if I was bad my backside would burn after church.  Little children could learn the same thing today except that last part.  However, they might learn their mothers could count at least up to three or four.  For the mothers of today will say, if you are not good I am going to give you the count of ten to behave.  One, two, three.  I am counting.  One, Two, Three.  I really mean it.  What happens if they get to ten?  More than likely Sunday School would be over.  Anyway, with all that said, I think it is time to really push Salvation.  It should be the number one gift that those of us who are saved want to see others get for Christmas.  I am telling you this right now.  WITHOUT SALVATION YOU HAVE NOTHING.  Nothing, I said, NOTHING.  Brothers and sisters, the neat thing about this gift, it is free, we just need to get the unsaved to the feet of Jesus.  Once there, Jesus will take over.

Exodus 15:2 - The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.  He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father's God and I will exalt Him.  (NIV)

Psalm 13:5 - But I trust in Your unfailing Love; my heart rejoices in Your Salvation.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, let's go to work on Salvation and the scriptures that God has given to me this day.  Exodus 15:2 - The Lord is my strength, and I pray you can say that for I sure can.  When I get up in the morning and am hurting, and hurting bad, when I think I can't take another step, I call upon the name of the Lord, most often in song, and He gives me strength to get moving.  "Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How Great Thou Art."  And I get stronger and stronger.  It sure beats getting up and being a grump.  And as it is recorded in Exodus, The Lord is my strength and my song.  The Word is telling me to come to Him for Strength and also for that song.  Let me do that again.  "Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How Great Thou Art."  Now we look at the next part.  He has become my Salvation.  And brothers and sisters, He has become my Salvation, and I pray you are saved and have that same love and Salvation. He is my God!!  Is He yours today??  Is He yours today??  I will praise Him today and forever!  Will you praise Him right now with me?  Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!!

Now when you look at Psalm 13:5, let's look at it as parents, and please pray for our son Matthew, for as I think of this I am reminded that our Matthew does need prayers, and i know I have heard from some others of you needing the same thing.  When we have a wayward child, maybe even one that tells you he/she loves the Lord but their actions do not show it, then it is time to tell Jesus "I trust in Your unfailing love."  Brothers and sisters, we must trust that God loves all of us, even those who are wayward.  If you are like we are, I am sure you would love to know that all in your family are saved.  It would be a great gift for Christmas, would it not?  Please, kids, do not purchase me anything, just come and tell me you gave yourself over to Jesus and that you are going to try and repent and walk with Him.  Great gift, right under the gift of Salvation for yourself, would be that of your child or children.  Just think of how we rejoice in His Salvation when it comes to us loving the Lord, then think of what it is like when you would see your kids down on their knees and praying for God to come into their hearts.  What a gift.  I love You, Jesus, and I pray for Salvation for all family members today.  For the families of everyone who uses this line, I pray that Salvation runs wild among them.

Psalm 17:1 - The Lord is my light and my Salvation, whom shall  I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold  of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, when we are saved, when we have our Salvation, then and only then can we truly walk in the light of the Lord. Do you have your Jesus headlights on?  When we have Jesus, we have a stronghold, we have a fort, a house built on The Rock, and we do not need to fear anyone or be afraid.

Psalm 27:9 - Do not hide Your face from me, do not turn Your servant away in anger; you have been my helper.  Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior.  (NIV)

Let me put that verse in how I feel it.  Lord, I am a sinner, only saved by Your Grace.  Please do not hide from me as I have hidden from You over the years.  Do not be angry with me, for I am sorry for all those years of trouble that I caused You.  Do not reject me, for I want to repent and walk with You.  Lord, You are indeed my Savior.

Brothers and sisters, please talk to the people from your church, talk to your pastors, talk to your leadership team and talk to them about a "Salvation Wednesday" at our place of worship.  Not, folks, for my glory or for the glory of Carry The Light Ministries, but for the Glory of God and also for the unsaved that might come forth to be saved.  How about it, will you step out in faith as ordered by our Lord, to get the message out, by using another day other than Sunday to really push it, push Salvation?  We should be doing this work each day, but let's get moving by getting started on Wednesdays, SALVATION WEDNESDAYS.  AMEN

Now go forth sharing your blessings and working for Jesus in all you do.  In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen

Pastor Dan
