Dear Father in Heaven: Please pardon me of my sins and let me just lift You in Praise as I start this day. Thanks, Father in Heaven, for Your Son and our Savior Jesus Christ. I want to tell You this day that I love You very, very much. Please be with all those we have been praying for and about over the last few weeks. Please, Dear Father, through the power of The Holy Spirit, anoint us this day to do Your work as Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Elves, and get the message of Your Love for all out to the eyes of those little ones and also their parents as we take on the job of role-playing. Please also spread that anointing of the Holy Spirit over this line and all who use it. Anoint me now to write a message for and about You and to get it dispatched over the air waves and also get it ready to preach tomorrow. Oh, how I love You, and yes, it is because You first loved me and still do. Lord, I confess to all I am indeed just an old sinner saved by grace. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, I pray you all had a great Thanksgiving and a great Black Friday. While thinking of the events of these last few weeks and those last two days, it really got me thinking about gifts. Yes, I am not just a Santa, as I tell all those who come to see me, I am Santa, I am indeed "as real as it gets," and that is my quote, folks. And yes, folks, I do believe in Santa, and while I do not have reindeer, I have goats, but they do not fly. On Thanksgiving, Dolores and I were blessed by being invited out to be with ministry Partner Pamela Bower and her family. We were also invited out by ministry partners Grant and Wanda, and we took a rain check on their family get-together, and the reason, Pam's family asked first. We are just so blessed. During the day we talked about churches, blessings, animals, some football, and of course shopping. Then this morning God just laid it on me to be talking about gifts. So let me get started. Now if you do use "Our Daily Bread" each day, they also were talking about gifts. I will try not to steal any of their words. So let's get going on Gifts.
1 Corinthians 12:12 - The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. (NIV)
Let me start by asking all of you what you want for Christmas. Yes, a question as Santa I have asked many times. What would you like for Christmas? Let me tell you what I would like. Yes, like most all folks, I would love to see worldwide peace and to see all of our troops come home from all around the world and that we would just have military bases here in America. In other words, guard our country and all who are in it from within the borders. I would also like to have peace here on our Home Front and no more killing in neighborhoods. But with that said, and also saying I would love to be healthy and all of that, Old Pastor Santa Claus does have one other Christmas wish for what he would like to have. I would love to have a "newer Cadillac Hearse and/or a Cadillac Flower Car." And yes, I still want to drive it, not ride in the back. Our antique hearse gets lots of use in our food pantry, as it is our "bread wagon, so to speak." Oh, and while I talk about gifts, and we talk about bodies of our own, I must tell you that vehicles are also made of many parts to form that "one body." In a way, my old hearse is sort of like me, as some of the old parts are wearing out. Let's look at the Bible now as it does talk about our body, and how God made it.
First of all, men, we were made from "dirt," so if someone comes along and tells you "you are a dirt bag, or a dirt bucket," just say, "right on, brother, or right on, sisters, I am indeed a child of God and I was made of dirt." And guys, if you get accused of having "ring around the collar or potato patches behind your ears, just tell the accusers that God made you that way. Yes, God gathered up dirt, formed us and blew the air of life into us. Now if you are reading this message today then you will be sure to note that God is still forcing that air into your nose so that you can still breathe and we can remain or I can remain in the front seat of my old hearse. But I want you to think about your body for a minute. Let me go back in time and talk about Dolores. I have pictures of her when we first met. She was tell, over five feet six, and she had been a model. She was a beauty of God's work and I am so happy I gave up a rib for her. No, folks, she was and I will tell you, still is a beauty. Now, years later, with a twisted spine, shes goes about four foot nine or maybe four foot ten. Her twisted fingers still play the piano for God. The same is true of our ministry team, as we age our parts are getting worn, we have some added pain here and there, but none of our team gives up for that would be giving up on the Lord so to speak, and He does not give up on us. While God was and still is the great healer and did/does and always will heal some people directly, to others He has given the gift of healing, but we will talk more about those gifts tomorrow. Today let me talk about why we have doctors. Yes, we have doctors, and please do not think it is a lack of faith in God if you go to the doctors when you are "coming down with something." God made those men and women who are doctors for a reason, and some of them have been given the power of healing right from God. Yes, doctors have that power of healing as a gift from God. Now we like to think of healers as people like "Benny Hinn" who just lays hands on the people and they are healed by God through Pastor Benny's hands. Yes, I believe people have that gift from God. But the other doctors have also been given that same gift, only maybe they need to help heal you with the help of God by using some meds or even cutting on your body some. Think about that, please. But please do not say that doctors were put on earth to help people who did or do not have enough faith to be healed by God. That is just not the case. Look for example at Paul, and his faith, but he was not healed directly by God. Also today, and I want you to think about this.
My old hearse needs a part, so I say to myself, "self, go to the parts house or even the used parts place and get the part." And that is what I do. Then, of course, I put that part, new or used, on the old hearse. While it is very hard for a doctor to go out and get a new part for a person, they do have meds that along with the HEALING POWER that was put in all of our bodies by God our Father, can be repaired by our doctor. Now did you see just a few gifts there for people? Let's look at a few. Let's start with man. God gave some men and women, so folks, when I say Man today it is for mankind, okay? God gave man the ability to heal from within. He, God, made us to fight off things that try and attack our bodies and minds, but sometimes it can take a boost from our doctors here on earth. So for starters, let's look at some gifts. Man has the ability to read and understand parts books and those folks can get the parts ready for all those who are gifted to be the mechanic. Others are gifted by God to work on other parts of the car, or even sell it or sell you a new one. Yes, being a car salesperson or one who sells you the insurance for that car, are gifted by God to do those things. And doctors are gifted to work on you, but look also at their staff, who all have been gifted by God to do their jobs. Do you see what I am saying? Oh, and for seeing, just as we think we cannot see the pages anymore, God hooks me up with this beautiful lady who makes these things called glasses that make it so I can see again. And God, thinking well out in advance, put my ears and nose in just the right place so that this gifted person who made my glasses had just the right place to "hang them." Do you see what I am saying about gifts? And then some are blessed with gifts and some of these folks get no respect for what they do. After the doctors offices are closed for the day and the hospital operating rooms are closed for the day, a crew comes in and cleans them. Yes, these folks who clean up after others, these folks who get no respect are gifted also. Think about it, brothers and sisters, the one who cleans the toilet and mops up after us is gifted, and may I say, held in high regard by God and also by me. I love these folks. And brothers and sisters, some of the most loved folks, and I love everyone, but some of them I love the most, hang out on the back of trash and recycle trucks. These are gifted people, gifted by God. Yes, folks, they do jobs that others will not even think about doing. Here in America people would sooner sit at home and play with a toy thing on their big screen TV than use a gift from God. BROTHERS AND SISTERS, BEING LAZY IS NOT A GIFT FROM GOD. It is just a downright lazy thing. Again, being lazy is not a gift from God, so for all those who are able-bodied people, you need to get your lazy backsides out of bed and get a job working to pay your keep, for in God's eyes, a man who will not work should not eat.
Now let me move on talking about how in our body all of the parts should be working together. If all the parts are not working together, sometimes things come to a halt. One time all the body parts got together and they wanted to have one of the parts head things up. The brain said I should be the leader, for after all, I am the brain. But the eyes said, wait a minute, where would you be if you could not see where you were going? So the eyes said they wanted to be the boss. But the legs and feet said, wait, we get you from place to place, we want to be the boss. The heart then said, I pump blood around you all the time, and I want to be the boss. The hands and arms said, without us, how would you put food in your mouth, and they wanted to be the boss, and then the mouth said, hey, I eat the food that keeps you going, I want to be the boss. Every body part wanted to be the boss until after awhile the "backside" said, I want to be the boss. Well, the backside got no respect, and all the other parts laughed. So the backside stopped working, and soon the legs got limp, the arms got tired, the mouth and nose watered, the eyes grew tired and weak and even the heart and brain got a fever. Nothing worked without the backside working, everything stopped. So the backside was made the boss. Now let me put this into some terms you might understand. In a city, if those bottom-of-the-list trash men and women do not show up for work and the trash piles high, the city will close down. One gift and many parts and all must work together to get things done.
Now let's look at God's gifts, so many gifts, and God has assigned gifts to all of us. Let me ask you, what would happen if your custodian would not show up to clean up week after week? Who would keep coming to church if there were no supplies in the restrooms? In a church setting, it is sad that churches need to pay for someone to clean the place, the chores should be divided by the Sunday School classes and all take a share of it. No, because some people will not stick their hand in a toilet if they can pay someone else to do it. Think about it, folks, how long has it been since the pastor of your church cleaned the restrooms after church? I think maybe once a year at least the pastors should be the cleanup person. Maybe when your custodian goes on vacation. I want you all to think about that for a minute or two. Next Monday or maybe even tomorrow afternoon, we will look at some of the gifts from God and which one is the greatest gift. See you soon.
Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for all Your gifts and for this message today. I love You, Jesus. I pray in Your name, Jesus. Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings. Love ya. Please pass that love on. Pastor Dan

Thanksgiving 2013 Blessings
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for all things good this day and each day. Please, Lord, forgive me of my sins, I really appreciate it. Please now help me with a Thanksgiving message. Then, Dear Lord, help me get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
My dearest brothers and sisters. I have received messages from a lot of you talking about blessings they have received from God. While all rate their Salvation through Jesus as their greatest blessing, I received this one message and I wanted to give it to you in the words of that writer:
"Dear Pastor Dan,
This Thanksgiving I am most thankful for having had my mother as my companion, buddy, and friend for all 60 of my years. She died one week ago yesterday on the 19th at age 100 years, six months! I was holding her in my arms as she took her last breath and departed on that glory train bound for heaven's gates. Her service at First Lutheran Church in Carlisle (the church diagonally across the street from the old prison on East High Street) was a celebration of her life and not really a funeral. Everyone in attendance was uplifted in rare style for a Lutheran church. (Oops, did I just say that? :) I think you know what I mean!) Anyway, I am indeed most thankful for all that I got to share with her, especially since I've been caring for her in her own home since July 2012.
I included Carry The Light Ministries at the end of her obituary in The Sentinel where they have the "in lieu of flowers" part. I listed your ministry first and Project SHARE second. I know of one individual that said they were going to make a donation to, as you called it this morning, God's Food Pantry.
You and Dolores have a marvelous and Happy Thanksgiving! Love, John Henry Riddlesberger"
Thank you, my dear brother, for your kind words about your mother. John Henry is retired from teaching school at the Carlisle School District, and he is a wonderful Christian, a really true follower of Jesus. While John taught school, he more than likely witnessed many of his students graduate from high school and go on either to work or to a school of higher education. But how often does a man get to hold his 100 year-old Christian mamma in his arms while she passes, or graduates from earth to heaven? What a blessing this must have been. I think back to my messages of about a week ago when we talked about "A time to be born and a time to die." However, dear brothers and sisters, when one knows the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior, they need not die, for Jesus did that for us. We pass from this earth and right on to the Lord. John made a statement about the Lutheran Church, and it is not meant to be nasty, just the facts. It is neat indeed to see a home-going victory celebration at a service in a church that is more reserved. Brothers and sisters, when you really love Jesus, it is okay to get excited in church and show it.
Others who did their homework told of blessings of healthy children and jobs, food on the table and a roof over their heads. One was thrilled that "bone marrow" from a stranger helped God heal her husband who had cancer. Note please, I said HAD cancer. Can we just shout and say PRAISE THE LORD, PRAISE THE LORD, PRAISE THE LORD.
I would like to share some of our blessings with you this day. Besides my personal Salvation through Jesus, I have been blessed so I can be a blessing to others. Each day when I close my message I tell all of you to "go forth and share your blessings." While sometimes it is not easy to put some of your few dollars into the church offering plate, I think the hardest thing to do is share your blessings with people who persecute you. Look at this scripture.
Romans 12:9 - Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. (NIV)
The Reverend Doctor Richard Denison used his slogan that "we are blessed to be a blessing." Brothers and sisters, that is a very true statement. Maybe the hardest thing of all is to bless those who just told everyone of your past, told everyone about the "old you," the person you were before God cleared you of that past. Pray for that person or those people and hold them up to the Lord for they indeed are still walking without Jesus.
Dear brothers and sisters, real blessings all come from love, and love is the greatest blessing of all your blessings. If you have family, share your blessings among them by sharing your love. Sometimes we who have children over the years have had to do something called "tough love." Tough Love is one blessing that is hard to share but from time to time needs done. Our Lord Jesus over the years had to practice tough love. It happened early on, when He put Adam and Eve out of the garden and again when He ended the world with a big flood. Tough Love, sometimes you need to practice it.
Dear Father, thanks for the blessing of Jesus, and Jesus, thanks for the blessings of Your love and Your life. In Jesus' name, I want You to know that I appreciate all the blessings You send my way. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Pass it on. Pastor Dan.
Remember Santa's House is open on Black Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Bring those children. Hear the real story of Christmas from Santa. Phone 691 8200 for directions.

Wednesday 11/27/2013 Salvation!
Our Father Whom Art In Heaven: How I love Your Name, dear Lord, it is so special to me. Lord, I pray for Your return to bring peace over this world. Lord, help me follow the commandments in the Bible and also the things You place on my mind to get done for You, and Lord, may I do them according to Your will. Lord, may I work really hard on this earth to help make it like it will be in heaven someday. Lord, I give thanks this day for our food, that I am sure You will be sending our way. Thank You, Lord, for the air I breathe also, and for all the other things You have furnished for us. Dear Father, please forgive me of my sins against You and also against my brothers and sisters right here on earth. And dear Father, help me to forgive those who I think have trespassed against me. Lord, please keep me way from being tempted by earthly things and also from the things Satan throws at me or in front of me as I want to walk each day with You. Lord, wash me clean with the blood of Jesus as You deliver me from evil each day. This, Lord, this United States of America, this state, Pennsylvania, our township, Silver Spring Township, are all part of Your Kingdom, dear Father, and so is our home here on Dewalt Drive. Yes, Lord, our home, our family, our ministry team, all those who follow the Ministries of Carry The Light, are indeed part of Your Kingdom. And Lord, all The Power and The Glory for all things good I will give to You forever and ever. In Jesus' Name I will do this. So be it. Amen.
Our Father Whom Art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the glory forever. Amen.
Good Salvation Wednesday, my dear brothers and sisters. Yes, I missed Tuesday, as I was out running around in the rain, then I went to the store to purchase more turkeys for our Christmas distribution. This looks to be our biggest Christmas food distribution ever. All of our regulars are coming plus many new families who have been referred to us by Cumberland Valley, Carlisle, and a few other school districts. We have now confirmed over 70 families who are coming on December 14th between 9:00 AM and noon. And wait until you see what they will be receiving. God has been so very good to our, no, God's food pantry. I am so excited, and folks, we have not put a cut-off number on those who are calling for food. The only thing we really need right now are some turkeys. Yesterday Giant would only let me purchase 10 at their advertised price, which is 9 more than they advertised to do. God is good, and I know we will either have turkeys or hams to give the folks.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and today is Wednesday and on this line it is Salvation Wednesday. Brothers and sisters, the thing in life that I am most thankful for is my personal Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Tomorrow I would like to list things that our brothers and sisters of this line are thankful for. So here is a tad of homework for you. Please take a few seconds and send me your "I am thankful for" list.
Reminder that old Santa, Mrs. Claus, a couple of elves, and one of Santa's spies will be in Santa's House on "Black Friday" and also Saturday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM each day. Bring your little ones, folks, or just come yourself and see how we put the true message of Christmas out through one of the tools given to me ... "Santa." And those children 11 and under will get some very nice things. Not junk, folks, but nice things. So we hope to see you on Friday or Saturday, and please bring your camera to take all the pictures you want to take.
Now let me get to my best blessing and it should be yours also. SALVATION!!
Salvation Wednesday: November 27, 2013, Salvation, our very best blessing.
Exodus 15:2 - The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my Salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my Father's God, and I will exalt Him. (NIV)
Psalm 118:14 - The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my Salvation. (NIV)
Isaiah 12:1 - In that day you will say, "I will praise You; O Lord. Although You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away and You have comforted me. 2 Surely God is my Salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my Salvation. (NIV)
Luke 19:8 - But Zacchaeus stood up and said to The Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." 9 Jesus said to him, "Today Salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham: 10 For the Sonof Man came to seek and to save what was lost." (NIV)
Revelation 7:10 - "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne and to the Lamb." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, Salvation is a free gift to us, a gift from our Father in Heaven, which His one and only Son, Jesus, gave his life for us, for our Salvation. The GIFT TO US IS FREE, free for the asking, and free if we indeed try our very, very best to follow Jesus once we are saved. So I ask you today, have you picked up your gift of Salvation? Brothers and sisters, it truly is free, you do not even need to pay "shipping and handling charges." I want to bring out a few things, folks. We see ads on TV and in our food stores, buy one and get one free.
Let me talk about the TV ads, for they say buy one and you get the second one free if you just pay the shipping fee. No, with Salvation through Jesus, you get one free but you do not get the second one. If your spouse is not saved they can have salvation also from Jesus, if your children need saved, they also can get salvation free, but it comes from Jesus, they cannot ride in on our backs. So brothers and sisters, if you have been saved, or "Born Again," as the Bible tells us, and you want your family to be saved also, you need to get them to come to Jesus on their own. Yes, you can and should lead them, guide them, pray for them, love them and point them in the right direction, but the bottom line is, it is up to Jesus to save them. Now let's go grocery shopping and look at those ads we see so much. "Buy one, get one free!" This is code for it is going out date. Yes, in most cases if you look, and most often with the meats, they are about to go out of date.
So let me set this out. Buy one and get one free for you must us it right away or put it in the freezer right away or it will go bad. Brothers and sisters, once again I tell you that Salvation is free to all who ask and come to Jesus for it. AND THAT SALVATION THROUGH JESUS WILL NEVER SPOIL, IT WILL NEVER GO BAD. You cannot get it by paying for it, Jesus already did that for us, for you and for me. You cannot pick up one salvation and get extra for someone else, for they must ask on their own. Jesus wants us to work for Him and get the word out, we see that in the Bible. John The Baptist came ahead of Jesus and started to put out the word. Jesus formed a team, a team of men who followed Him and were used to put out the word. And we are the disciples of today and we are to put out the word. By the way, this is what Santa, Mrs. Claus, Elves Wanda and Grant and Pamela the spy will be doing in Santa's House on Friday and Saturday. We will be putting out the word of God. Now children might take a gift they get and give it to someone else, and that is a good thing for them to learn to share, however you cannot share your free gift of salvation from God. You can surely tell others and show them in the Bible how Salvation is gained, but once again it comes from Jesus. It is personal, it is between you and Him, between you and Jesus, between Jesus and you. Let's go to Jesus now and pray to have our sins forgiven. Then, brothers and sisters, on your own look up and read John 3:16/17, John 14:6, and Romans 10:9/10.
Dear Father in Heaven, please watch over us, and please, Lord, I want to tell You that I love You and ask that You clear me of my sins. I do believe that You died on the cross for me and that You were risen from the dead. Please, Lord, place my name in the Lamb's book of life. And then, Lord, help me to work for You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings and help one another. If you are just coming to God, you need a good church, please call me on my cell phone, 717 991 0754, and I will pray with you and help you find a good church where salvation is preached and taught. Hope to see you on Friday or Saturday in Santa's House. Love ya. Please pass that love on. Pastor Dan

Pastor Dan

Monday 11/25/13 Walking Prayers
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for forgiving me of my sins, and thanks for sending Jesus to the cross to get that job done. I love You very much, dear Lord. Thanks for watching over our families, and thanks for watching over this line. Thanks, Lord, for Your hand being upon Patsy, Burt, Eleanor, Bob, Sharon, Dan, Dolores, and Lord, please keep watching over them and healing them. Lord, bless those in our government who have power over us, and Lord, protect Your homeland, for dear Lord, I believe our country has just made a deal with Satan when they signed a treaty with Iran. I pray for our president and our Secretary of State and ask that You would humble them and bring them to their knees as they try and deal with these groups that hate You. Lord, please be with our Jewish brothers and sisters, for this is a bad deal for them and also all of us who really love You. Jesus, please be with Mrs. Obama and their children, and I pray Your protection over them. Please help Craig find a job and help him on this subject of walking prayers. Now, Lord, if You would be so kind to bless me with a message and then help me to dispatch it, I would appreciate it. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, today we need to be praying for our nation and our nation's leaders. Secretary of State John Kerry is surely not looking out for our interests and those of our homeland in Israel. Iran also has an American pastor held captive and our leaders did not even bring it up. Pray, warriors, pray. Pray also this week for all those who will be traveling on this Thanksgiving holiday. Pray also for Carry The Light Ministries, as we are making our final push getting ready for our big Christmas distribution. We have booked over 60 families so far who will be coming on December 14th. We look to have nearly a hundred families on that one morning. Exciting times, folks. Now let me get to the message, "Walking Prayers."
Monday, November 25, 2013, Walking Prayers.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 - For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man WILL NOT WORK, he shall not eat." (NIV)
Walking Prayers? What are you talking about, you might ask? Are you talking about it is okay to pray as we walk? Well, while that is okay, that is not really what I want to say, but it is okay to walk and pray. Just pray with your eyes open so you don't walk into traffic, etc. We should take time to be reverent to God when we pray, but there are times we just really need to be in prayer right then and there, so to speak. But when I am talking about walking prayers today, I am talking about that term our ministry partner came up with years and years ago. She said "we need to put feet on our prayers." Let's start out by using our food pantry as an example. We could be praying each day that those who are hungry would have food and then do nothing else about it. Or we could put feet on our prayers, pray for the hungry to have food, and then go and buy some food for them. Which, I ask, do you think does the most good for the hungry? We pray for them, or we buy a sack of potatoes and put them on the porch at their house? We should be doing both. Then at the same time we should also be trying to teach those who are hungry and need food how to work for it and help themselves.
Now there is another way to look at WALKING PRAYERS. Each day we pray for someone to get a job and we are doing that right now with several folks. We pray and ask God to open a door for the person to find a job for they indeed have a family to feed. But while we pray each day in faith to God for this person, the person does not get out of bed and seek out where God wants them to look for a job. So today I want all of you who might be hungry and if you are an able-bodied person you should be looking for work. This would be a way to be putting feet on your prayers. Today I refer all those who are in need of work and are able to work to the scripture listed above. Also, the job you get now might just be a stepping stone to a better job, or you might climb the ladder of that job location. So while we are very willing to pray for those needing a job, and even providing food until the job is found, and even after that until the bills get caught up ... those needing the job need to get out of bed, get looking good, wear good clothes and such, yes, even wash behind your ears and go get the job.
While I know I will have some people upset with me about this message today, I am just quoting what God has in the Bible, and yes, this is my way of also putting feet on my prayers. Amen.
Dear Father in Heaven, help us to feed the hungry and feed also their soul, but help us not just give them a can of beans but teach them how to apply for a job so they can buy the beans. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings, helping those who need help. Love ya. Pass it on.

Fri/Sat 11/22-23/13 Following
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for a great Friday and thanks for all You do for us each and every day of our lives. Thanks for now opening my eyes and making me more and more aware each day of what all You do for us. Please, Lord, forgive me of my sins as You also forgive others as they ask in faith. Lord, please touch Ruby, Patsy, Burt, Baby Ali, and the Oiler family. Touch Helen, Barbara, and Lord, please bless Dave, Duane, and Neil as they shift gears in their ministries. Dear Lord, anoint us to do Your work each day and anoint Dolores' fingers as they stiffen from age. Lord, thanks for sending help to Carry The Light and thanks for the food that came in just yesterday. Now, Lord, please bless me with a message and then dispatch it for me, and also help me get the message ready for Sunday. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks, praise, and lift my prayers to the Father. Lord, please now fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thanks, I love You. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, we went to hear Dave, Duane, and Neil last evening for their final formal concert in Perry County. It was wonderful, filled with The Holy Spirit and good singing. Pray for these men of God and their families as they say they are going to retire. I know they will be just shifting gears, as there is no place in the Bible that tells us we are to retire from God's work, or working for God. Brothers and sisters, we have lots of prayer requests, and I will post them on Monday. I need to get working on the message and get things ready for tomorrow. Plus, we were blessed yesterday over and over again and I have a lot of food in the trailer that needs to be off-loaded. God is so very, very good.
Do you need food, or do you know someone who does? We are now making our Christmas list and on December 7th we will be packing for them. On December 14th, we will hand it out. It is exciting, very exciting. Again, if you need food, please let us know, call and talk to Dolores and we will get you fixed up. Also, Santa's House will be open on Black Friday and Saturday, bring those little ones and let them hear the real story of Christmas right from old St. Nick. And if they are good little children, they will receive gifts. Call for directions and times. Use my cell number for this, 717-991-0754. Ho, ho, ho. Let me get to the message, Following.
Friday/Saturday, November 22/23, 2013, Following.
Psalm 23:6 - Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my Life, and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever. (NIV)
Matthew 4:18 - As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon, called Peter, and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20 At once they left their nets and followed Him. (NIV)
Philippians 3:17 - Join others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. (NIV)
When you are following, use the four (4) second method except when following Jesus, then, brothers and sisters, get as close as you can get. When I learned to drive, my daddy, who taught me, told me to pay attention to what was going on all around my vehicle. He taught me to use mirrors as my old truck was a Panel truck. To this day I pay attention to my mirrors and I get really upset when there is a car following very close or even more so when it is a big truck. In our area it seems we have a lot of big dump trucks that love to be near to me. Then we have those who follow close and are on the phone or texting in that car or truck. Yes, brothers and sisters, we need to have a safe following distance. What is a safe following distance? Well, it depends on what is going on. A safe following distance on the road is to use the counting system. Hey, if you count to make your kids behave, you can count to be safe in the car. One works, the other does not. Here is how the 4-second following distance works. Note a line on the road or a sign on the side of the road. When the rear of the vehicle ahead of you passes over it, count one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi, four Mississippi, and your front bumper should be passing that spot. No nearer. If you pass it and you just said one, or two, then you are too close. And it works at any speed. So when you are driving, "count off" for that following distance. If someone is too near you, slow down, this gives you extra room in front, and if they do hit you, you do not become the "ham" in the middle of the sandwich. Yes, it is much better to be an "open face" sandwich than being between the bread.
Okay, example number two. You just got up from a great lunch, it included a burger or hotdog and some baked beans. Do not follow others who had the same meal. If you do so, you could get "gassed out." Did I just say that? I just cannot help myself some days. However, let's look at when we are following Jesus and His word. We want to follow Him as nearly as near can be. If we let the following distance get too far, if we are following but are back a distance, Stan or one of his evil workers will surely slip in between, and you could wind up following the master of deceit. God led me to several scriptures today, one is what happens when we do follow our Lord Jesus, and it is found in Psalm 23:6. Surely, goodness and Love will follow us! Yes, folks, if we follow Jesus His love will follow us and when His love follows us, we will have goodness and mercy with it.
I used the example found in Matthew about following when Jesus called His disciples who were fishing. God will call us. Last evening we heard lots of good music, but we also heard how these men of God, Dave, Duane, and Neil, were called and how they over the years followed the call. They indeed picked up their nets and followed Jesus, and they are not going to stop following Jesus, just changing gears tad. Have you picked up your net and followed Jesus? And do you do that each day? Then I was guided to Philippians 3:17. In this scripture Paul was telling others to follow him. That is okay, for he is following Jesus. We who God has appointed pastors and workers in the fields for Him need to be an example here on earth for others to follow, but hold on, we had better be doing it right, for if not, we are going to be held accountable for doing it wrong.
Right now there are United Methodist Ministers lining up to support the pastor who performed a gay wedding. They are saying this was done in love. No, no, folks, do not get confused, we must love all people, but we must not get mixed up with the sins. Times are changing, folks, BUT GOD'S WORD IS NOT!!!! His love goes on forever and ever, and not once does He change the guidelines. Jesus still calls us to pick up our nets and follow Him, but He does not tell us to go break commandments and His law as we follow Him. No, we are to get nearer and nearer to Him. You must be careful, stay near and not let Satan or this political correctness or FEEL GOOD STUFF get between you and the Lord.
Yes, get the correct following distance, and even if you are following a pastor's words, or others like Dr. Charles Stanley, get out your Bible, check the facts for yourself, and FOLLOW JESUS. Amen.
Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for helping us to follow You. Forgive us when we slip and pick us up when we fall. In the Name of Jesus, I order Satan out of my life and off of this line. Protect this line and the folks who use it as we "pick up our computers and follow you." In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings which came from Jesus and setting a good following distance for all things in your life. Love ya. Pass that love on, as you follow Jesus. Pastor Dan

Thursday 11/21/13 A Time 7
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for this day, dear Lord, and thanks for watching over me today. Thanks for the great ministry team you placed with Carry The Light. Lord, how blessed we are to have a team that really works well together. Lord, in the name of Jesus, I ask Your healing hand upon my Aunt Romaine, our son Matthew, upon Patsy and Burt, upon Bob, Sharon, and Eleanor. Lord, be with John Riddlesberger and his family as they mourn and rejoice in the homegoing of their dear mother. Praise God we know where we are going when our assignment on earth is finished. Comfort them, Lord. Please, Lord, be with Dave, Duane, and Neil as they round out this part of their assignment for You. Bless their remaining concerts. Lord, help us as we keep moving forward to help the needy at Christmas and long into the New Year. Help us to give freely to those in need and help us to sort out those who are trying to take a free ride. Help us really reach those folks with Your love about Your grace and Salvation through You. Now, Dear Lord, please help me with the message today and then dispatch it for me. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, yesterday I talked about a time to be silent and a time to speak. I mentioned how my daddy once in awhile would just say to me "Shut up and Listen." My dear cousin Martha mentioned to me about her daddy, my Uncle Les, who was a brother to my daddy. She said "it reminds me of my own dad. Every time I put my 'foot in my mouth,' it reminds me. He used to like the saying, 'It is better to remain silent and be thought ignorant than to speak and remove all doubt.'" Thanks, Martha, for putting a smile on my face and bringing back memories of my dear Uncle Les.
I would like to really thank God for a great ministry team. This morning we had a sing-along at The Bridges where I pastor and Dolores plays the piano. Most often on sing-along days, Grant, Wanda, and Pam,our ministry team, goes along with Dolores and myself. Well, this morning about one hour before we were to go, my pain level went nuts. You who know me, know that God has blessed me with pain and being able to carry a lot of it while working for Him. (Yes, it is a blessing, folks.) Anyway, as the pain shot up it was far beyond what I could function with. My blood pressure went sky high and I was doubled over in pain. I put a call for Grant and Wanda to see if they were on their way and would stop for Dolores. I went to bed. God is good, the sing-along went on and God took care of my extreme pain and brought the blood pressure down to normal. When you have a ministry team and let God head it up, things keep going on without one person. GOD IS GOOD, ALL GLORY AND PRAISE TO HIM.
Please keep praying for Patsy, Burt, Sharon, Bob, Eleanor, Dan, Baby Ali, Matthew, and all those on this line that need the touch of Jesus. Please pray for President Obama and those leaders in Washington, DC. Pray for John Riddlesberger whose mamma has passed away at age 100. I know I am missing some requests, but it is time to get to the message. A Time!

Ecclesiastes 3:8 - A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. (NIV)
Let's first look at the second part of this verse. A time for war and a time for peace. All throughout the Bible we can read of wars, and since Bible times, and the Bible is still the best group of books ever ... But since it was first written, wars are still going on, the Bible still holds true. Each day in the paper we see of wars. Some now might be just called "gang fights," but trust me, they are gang wars. There are wars between races, some just verbal you might say. But with all the wars going on, none is bigger than the wars that are going on against those of us who love Jesus. The Bible tells us of this. And you can read about it in the paper. Yes, remove God from this, remove God from that, my brothers and sisters, that is war against Christians. But listen to these words.
Matthew 24:6 - "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains." (NIV)
Psalm 46:6 - Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; He lifts His voice, the earth melts. 7 The Lord Almighty is with us; The God of Jacob is our fortress. 8 Come and see the works of the Lord, the desolations He has brought on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear, He burns the shields with fire. 10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among all Nations, I will be exalted in the earth." 11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (NIV)
I want to sum up the scriptures that God gave me for the message today by telling you this. God is in control. Put your faith in His loving arms and He will take care of you. We can read in Ecclesiastes that there is a time for war, and we can see it daily as I have mentioned. Sometimes it might seem like war right in one's family with all the fighting going on. But we see the all-out war, and for those who over the years have lost loved ones on the battlefields of the world, they know the real pain that most of us do not know when it comes to wars. For those who left body parts on the battlefields, their struggles go on daily. For all of us, we need to find comfort in the Lord. Yes, there is a time for war, but thee is also a time for peace. While full peace will come when our Lord Jesus returns for us, we can still find peace in the midst of the storms of war by reading the scriptures like the one above which I have brought down for you.
Psalm 46:11 - The Lord Almighty is with us; The God of Jacob is our fortress. (NIV)
Psalm 46:10 - "Be still and know that I am God!" Yes, that is our Lord God speaking, folks. BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD, AND HE IS STILL IN CHARGE. Get into The FORT, get into THE FORT. Now you ask, how do I get into THE FORT? Whee is the door? Folks, get into THE FORT, by getting into THE WORD, which is found in your Bible. Get into THE FORT, by praying to our Father through His Son Jesus. Get into THE FORT, by asking God into your heart. SOMEONE SAY AMEN!
Now let's look at
Ecclesiastes 3:8 - A time to love and a time to hate. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, we see throughout the Bible how we are to love. We see it in the two great commandments. Love The Lord and Love Your Neighbor and if we do those we will love all things. But wait a minute, the scripture tells us there is "A time to love and a time to HATE." So what about this hate thing? Brothers and sisters, that is so easy. We must hate sin. When I see what is going on when pastors say they are showing God's love when they pastor a "gay wedding" ... No, No. You must love the person, the sinner, as we are all sinners, but we must not love the sin, and that is what a gay marriage is. Again, we must love the sinner and hate the sin. So there in one sentence, and I will say it again.
There is a time to Love. (Love God and love the sinner.) And a time to hate. (Hate all sin.) Amen.
Dear Father in Heaven, help us to love You and love our neighbors as ourselves, and Lord, that means love You and then love sinners. Help us do that and really hate sin, help us each day to distance ourselves from sin. Anoint us to do Your work without crossing into supporting sins. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
And with the words of Jesus, I close this series.
John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with You, My peace I give you." I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (NIV)
Now go forth and share your blessings, and you can share by loving the sinners and hating the sins. Love ya. Pass that love on, please.
Pastor Dan
Wednesday 11/20/13 A Time 6
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You very much for sending help our way this day. Thanks for the food for the food pantry. Thanks for trusting us in Carry The Light Ministries to carry out Your work. Dear Father, I pray we will not let You down and we can move forward on our mission with You. Dear Lord, I pray today for the lost and I pray You will use we who are saved to bring the lost to Your feet to be saved. Lord Jesus, please block any and all cancer from Patsy. All honor and glory to You, Jesus, that Eleanor is coming home. Please bless her, Sharon, Bob, and Dan. Please be with Grant and touch him. Now, Lord Jesus, help me with the message of today and may it be Your words and not mine. Then, Lord, please help me as it is dispatched. I love You, Jesus. In Jesus' Name, I pray and give thanks. Amen.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ ... What a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. You say you have little children or grandchildren? How would you like to bring them to the Southern Location of the North Pole to see Santa, Mrs. Claus, a couple of elves, and even one of Santa's spies? Just take a break from shopping on Black Friday and stop by 16 Dewalt Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA, where the little ones will hear the REAL CHRISTMAS STORY and also be given some gifts. (If they are good, of course.) Yes, November 29 and 30 from 10 to 4 you can see the jolly old man. Yes, there is A TIME. Speaking of which, let me get to the message. And remember, it is SALVATION WEDNESDAY. Pray for the lost, please, pray, warriors, pray.
Salvation Wednesday, November 20, 2013, A Time (Day Six).
Ecclesiastes 3:7 - A time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak. (NIV)
Yes, brothers and sisters, I am indeed a tear jerker, one who cries easily. For whatever reason, the Bible tells us there is a time to tear, a time to cry. And the Bible also tells us that Jesus will wipe away all of our tears.
Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things has passed away. (NIV)
We can tear up over things that are simple, and we can mend what caused that quickly, however, there are some things that cause us to tear up each time we think about it, be it a person from our past or even an event. Regardless of the events that bring tears to our eyes, our Lord Jesus can and will wipe them away. Revelation 21:4 gives us a peek at what even is going to be like in heaven. No more death, no more tears, no crying, no more pain and suffering. Yes, A TIME TO TEAR AND A TIME TO MEND. Thank You, Jesus.
Now with our English spelling that tear has a different meaning, so while it can mean something coming from the eyes like when we cry, or it can mean what happens to my pants if I get them caught climbing over a fence. And there are times when we do tear our clothes and there is a time when we must mend them. As a young lad, I would be crawling on the floor pushing my little cars and trucks around and often I would tear my little pants and then my dear late mamma would mend them. Now let's take a look at a time to be silent and a time to speak.
Well, the first thing that comes to my mind was something my daddy told me many, many years ago. It went like this ... "Shut up and listen." I like to put in our talking to our Lord Jesus. Yes, there is a time to speak to Him, and there is a time to listen to Him. What good is it I say, if we pray for something and then pay no attention to God when He gives instructions? Yes, God does speak to us, and then also God can be very silent.
When it comes to Salvation Wednesdays on this line, there is indeed a time for us to speak as we spread God's wonderful word to the unsaved and try to get them to come to Jesus. And there is a time to be silent so the unsaved can ask questions of us. We must stay in The Word so we are ready to listen to those asking questions about our Lord Jesus.
Dear Father in Heaven, help us to know when it is time to speak and a time to be silent. Yes, Lord, and I confess to You this day that I do not always know when to keep quiet. Help me with that, Dear Lord. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Pass that on, please. Pastor Dan.
P.S. Pardon my spelling, please, for there is a time to wake and a time to sleep, and I am sleepy. (Good night!)

Tuesday 11/19/13 A Time 5
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for all the blessings You send out each day. Thanks for flooding us with those blessings. Thanks for forgiving me of my sins and all others who ask. Lord, please heal Patsy Emig. We just found out she has cancer, Lord. This lady loves You, Lord, so I ask in the name of Jesus that You clear her body from cancer. Also, Lord, our dear little one we have called "Baby Ali," no longer a baby, but she needs Your healing hand also. Bless the Orner family as they work with Ali. Lord, be with Burt this day as he is beside himself over Patsy. How they both love You, Lord. Please, please touch them. Lord, our president needs Your touch, so please, Lord, touch his soul. I pray that he would come to You and ask You into his heart. Now, dear Lord, please bless me once again with the message of today and then dispatch it for me, please. In the wonderful name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, Burt called us last evening to let us know that they received word that Patsy has cancer in her female organs. Pray for Patsy and Burt, please. And those of you on the line for a long time remember how we prayed and prayed for "Baby Ali." Her dad, Jim Orner, asked we pray for her again as she is very sick with a virus behind her brain. Today our ministry team is taking a day out to see a Christmas play. Pray we can witness to folks while we are there. God is so good, just so good, and He does answer prayers.
We are still in need of people to help us pack food on December 7th in the morning, and also help on distribution day on the 14th, also in the morning. Let me know if you can make it. It really is fun, and I have made veggie soup for the 7th, and a surprise for the 14th. (Surprise = I did not plan it yet.) Okay, let me get to the message.
Tuesday, November 19, 2013, A Time (Day Five).
Ecclesiastes 3:6 - A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, for this one, I must go back to when the streets were dirt, when I was a young child, and we would play in the evenings that game of "hide and seek." Back in those days I was "it" a lot. Anyway, we kids would gather and one would hide their face against a power pole and count to a hundred. When I counted, it went like this ... 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 15, 35, 60, 70, 100. Ready or not, here I come. And then whoever was it would search. You would find people and race back to the base and call their name. Billy, you are out, Sally, you are out. Then after searching and searching, we would "give up." All in free, we would yell. Back then when we were searching we were not searching for the lost, but today, we should be searching for those who are lost, and I am talking about being lost by not knowing Jesus as their Savior. I know people who have those things on their phone that tell you how to get from point A to point B. They have them built into the cars, and right now I cannot for the life of me think what they are called, however, you can go to Mapquest and print out a map. Some people get trip tickets from AAA for road trips. A lot of those folks who have all those things so they do not get lost are people who are really lost. The very best thing you can get into your hands to prevent you from getting lost is a Bible. Then you search out the scriptures and find out how to become saved. Once you invite Jesus into your heart, you will not be lost again. HOWEVER, searching then really gets started. You see, we are to go out and search in God's fields of Harvest for the Lost. Now there is a time to give up when out searching for the Lost. When time after time you have talked to that same person, over and over again you have tried to tell them about "knowing Jesus" in their hearts and you can't reach them. It is time to move on searching for others who are lost.
Matthew 28:18 - Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)
You can see clearly where we get our orders to go and search out the lost. There is also another time when we can "give up" on this search for the lost, and that is when we get called home. AND SOMEONE SAID AMEN!!
Okay, now let's take a look at "A time to keep and a time to throw away." Over the years, I think most of us found that one of these two is much easier to do than the other. Over the years our closets have become full of clothes. Some of us had several sizes in that closet, our skinny clothes, our regular clothes, and our "fat suit," so to speak. Also, we tend to put back many things, little treasures we might call them, however, the Bible does warn us not to build up our treasures here on earth. So I am a "junk guy" you might say, yes, I have trouble throwing away things. Will I ever need this again, or will I be able to use that again? Of course when it comes time I do need that something I held onto, I do not have a clue where to find it. Now as I am getting where there are many more moons behind me (no smart remarks) than in front of me, many more days behind than in front, I am now going through things and giving them away or pitching them out. At one time I even saved "belly button lint." Now I do not have a belly button, so I threw out the collection. (I am just kidding, folks.)
In Bible school, we learned to "make new friends and keep the old, for one is silver and the other gold." I also did find out as I came to the Lord, some people out of my past that did not come to the Lord, I do not see them anymore. I did not throw them out, but it seems we do have a circle of friends that love the Lord. I should pray for God to help me seek out those in my past who might not be saved and tell them about Jesus.
Oh, another example I think all folks could use about "A time to keep and a time to throw out" might be when looking in that old fridge. Folks, if it is in there growing a beard, it might be time to throw it away.
There is a time we came to the Lord, a time we asked Jesus into our hearts, a time we decided to follow in His footsteps, and as that happens there is a time to throw away our old habits and our sins.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall perish but have eternal life. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, as we clean out some of our important papers, we often burn them, put them in a burning barrel and light them off. Brothers and sisters, we have our Lord, Jesus Christ, sent to us so we do not need to go into that fire. Do not let Satan get his hands on you and toss you into the barrel of fire. O once was lost, on my way to the fire, but then was found, saved by Grace, and I am found!! PRAISE THE LORD.
Thanks, Jesus for the message of today. Open hearts to receive it and heal us this day of our sins. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Pass that love on, please.

Monday 11/18/13 A Time 4
Dear Father in Heaven. Thank You for all that You do for all of us. Thanks for forgiving our sins, and Father, thanks for healing me so I could be with the flock You assigned to me yesterday. Oh, Father, how I love You. Thanks for watching over our family and friends. Thanks for watching over Leslie, and Lord, please keep Your hand of protection upon her. Lord, please be with the Saylor family, the Emig family, the Crocket family, Pam and her family. Watch over Bill, Joni, Doug, Nichole, Jason, Linda, Danelle, Leann and LeaAnne, and Lord, roll Craig out of bed and push him to get a job. Lord, help Helen and be with Tom as he travels home for Thanksgiving. Lord, please bless me now with a message. May it be right from You, and then, please, Lord, dispatch it for me. Now, Lord, please touch Dolores and me so we may work hard for You today. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
My dear online flock, I pray your weekend was as super as mine. Thanks for your prayers of last week. God woke me Sunday morning on fire for Him and ready to preach. It was great, really great, for there is nothing like when you are on fire for God. Wile I like to be on fire each day for Jesus. Some days the fire is so hot, I pray it will burn Satan. Let me get to the message as we keep working on "A Time."
Monday, November 18, 2013, A Time, Day Four.
Ecclesiastes 3:5 - A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, when I think about a time to scatter stones, I often think of the spring when we have the spring thaw and how those dirt roads or dirt driveways become, well, mud. So many times in the spring I have called one of our stone places and ordered stones for the driveway. I think of how those stones had to be gathered first as big rocks and blasted down to those sizes to work into the dirt driveways. Then the big dump trucks bring them in and dump them and you work hard to scatter them. Then as they lay there they get kicked around and you need to gather them again, by racking them and sweeping them back into the place they belong.
Matthew 21:42 - Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: 'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.'" (NIV)
When homes made of stone are built, you can watch as a stone worker will pick a stone and work at it, and he also will find some that he will reject for one reason or another, maybe he thinks he cannot work it into the place needed or it has a flaw in it. That stone put aside might be picked up by someone else and placed at a place where it can show its beauty. In our front yard, we have a very large stone, a big rock if you please, and we have named it our "Rock of Hope." It is one place I like to go to pray and receive that Hope from God. The stone was taken from what would become the basement of Hope United Methodist Church years ago and loaded on my trailer. The stone was not needed at the church, in fact, it had to be moved out for the building of the new church building. Rejected,if you please, and it found a home with us. When I think of how a stone or a rock was rejected, I think of Jesus, our Solid Rock, and how He was rejected and beaten and even put to death for us, for our sins. So when we think of a stone that is rejected, let it remind you of our Lord Jesus. When you pick up a stone in your yard so your mower does not hit it, think of Jesus. When you work with stones, think of Jesus who gives me Hope for each and every day of my life. So always remember that Rock that was rejected will be the one who in the end will have the job of either rejecting us or welcoming us home to be with Him. Please come to Jesus so you are not rejected by Him. He will not reject you here on earth, He is waiting for you, please do not reject Him.
Now let me look at "A Time to Embrace and A Time to Refrain." If you are like me you are one who loves everyone as our Dear Lord teaches us to do. I am also a hugger. I think it is a great way to greet folks, both men and women, however, there is a time to embrace that and a time to refrain, a time not to hug, maybe even someone you know. You or they might be sick and you do not want to spread the cold or whatever you have. Also others you don't know might not want that hug and it might then be considered even a crime. And NEVER, I say never in this day's market, do you touch a child you do not know. When Mrs. Claus and Old Santa are in Santa's House we are never one on one with a child, and they now sit between us. Unless a parent puts the child on our lap, we do not do that. Times have changed. Yes, folks, there is a time to Embrace and a Time to refrain.
Now is the time to embrace our Lord Jesus, and I feel it is time for a sinners' prayer. Maybe someone who reads this does not know the Lord. John 14:6 tells us that Jesus is the only way to the Father, and Romans 10:9/10 tells us that we need to confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that Jesus was raised from the dead and we will be saved. Will you pray along with me today this sinners' prayer?
Dear Father in Heaven, I confess I am a sinner and I ask that You clean me of my sins and come into my heart to live. I do believe that You died on the cross for me and that You were risen from the dead. I Love You, Jesus, and I want to follow You the rest of my life. Help me with that, Dear Lord. In Jesus' Name, I ask and pray. Amen.
First time ever came to the Lord? Call me, here is my cell phone number - 717 991 0754. I want to pray with you and help you find a church home where you can keep working to get tighter with Jesus. Okay, time for me to run, but first this. Please go forth and share your blessings, and yes, you are welcome to forward what I write, but God gives the blessings as you share your blessings. I love ya. Pass that love on daily.

Friday 11/15/13 A Time 3
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for another day, and thanks for watching over us during the night. Lord, I pray today for healing for Ruby, Patsy, Burt, Eleanor, Dolores, Dan, Dan Stoner, and also Vicki. I pray that a door is opened for Craig to get a job and that he will go and look for it. Lord, we all from time to time need to remember that when we pray, we need to listen for answers and then act on Your answers. Help us remember it, dear Lord, please help us. Now, dear Father, please help me with the message, and may the words be Yours and not my thinking. Then, Dear Father, please dispatch it for me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, please keep praying for this line and praying for God's healing hand on me. I think what I have is turning around and I should be fine to preach on Sunday. God is good. I have never missed a call since we went to The Bridges. All honor for that to God. Okay, now to the message, "A Time."
Friday, November 15, 2013, "A Time," Day Three.
Ecclesiastes 3:4 - A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, there is in life a time to weep and a time to laugh and I hope to show you some of them today that God has pointed out to me. Look at these scriptures.
Luke 6:20 - Looking at His disciples, He said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who WEEP now for you will LAUGH. (NIV)
Our Lord Jesus tells us in Luke that we will be blessed if we weep now for we will laugh. As I look around us here on earth today it would be very easy to weep or cry and some days you just want to do that. I talked yesterday about Harrisburg, PA, the city I grew up in, and today when I do drive there, I want to cry. Yesterday I went to the doctor's office, and right outside the door, two big fresh hunks of chewing gum spit out for people to walk on. You just want to cry. (No, I did not pick it up and chew it.) I am so glad that God gave me a "funny bone" and gave us the ability to laugh, and even the ability to laugh things off sometimes that we would like to cry about. Do you remember the commercial a few years or so back when the "American Indian" was shown on his horse crying over the way people were trashing up our country? Think about this one a tad. You an weep when you see that trash lying along the road, it is so sad, but when you see the work gang from the prisons picking up the trash, it does put a smile on your face, right? Putting this back to where it is intended is that here on earth we will weep, but there will be none of that in Heaven, only joy.
Now some say that men don't cry and there is no crying in baseball. I want to tell you that God gave me tears that come easy. But it is okay, for I know my Lord set an example of just that so men, it is okay to let the tears flow.
John 11:35 - Jesus wept. (NIV)
Now let's look at a time to mourn and a time to dance. You know when we have a loved one or dear friend pass away we go through a time of mourning, and while that mourning time might be longer for some than others, and while people say that time heals all sounds, the memories of those we mourn don't leave us. You never want to give up the good memories of those in your past that have gone, we pray, home to the Lord, but we should put away the things you might remember that were bad. One of the things that is neat to know about our Lord is that we can go to a funeral service in a church and we can mourn for the deceased and then go back to that same church and see people dance for the Lord. Oh, yes, people dance out for the Lord and you can do it anyplace, even in church.
2 Samuel 6:14 - David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the Lord with all his might. (NIV)
I want you to notice that David did not just dance before the Lord, HE DANCED WITH ALL HIS MIGHT.
Psalm 149:3 - Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, let's praise the Lord in all we do, and when we can dance, let's dance. It happened years ago, our now 30-year old grandson Keith Lehman, Jr., was along with us on a concert. If I remember, he was 14 at the time. We were singing at Manor Care in Camp Hill, PA, and we were singing "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder," when a senior lady who was in a wheelchair got up and danced and danced. Keith Jr. asked about it, as the staff at Manor Care was amazed, for the lady was truly wheelchair bound. This lady danced in the spirit of the Lord. It was a beautiful thing to see. After the song she went back to the wheelchair and when our concert was over, she was pushed from the room. Dance, brothers and sisters, dance, and do it with all your might for the Lord.
Dear Father in Heaven, help us as we mourn and then help us to dance and help us always to come nearer and nearer to You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love Ya. Please pass that love on. Pastor Dan

Wed/Thur 11/13-14/13 A Time 2
Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for keeping me going. Thanks for all You do for all of us. Lord Jesus, I need Your healing hand upon me. Giving You all praise and honor in advance. Lord, watch over Dolores and please, Lord, protect her health. Lord, be with Troy and help him to come back to You. Protect Dave and Linda as they travel. Lord, Ruby needs Your healing hand. Lord, help me with the message. Implant it in my mind and heart and then please help me dispatch it. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, I really need Your prayers. I don't know what I got, but I got it, and I do not have time for it. I need the Lord's healing hand as we hit our busy season. I refuse to let Satan get me in any way, shape, or form. On to the message.
Wednesday/Thursday, November 12/13, 2013, A Time, Day 2.
Ecclesiastes 3:3 - A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build. (NIV)
Deuteronomy 5:17 - You shall not murder. (NIV)
Exodus 20:13 - You shall not murder. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, sometimes people will look at one verse in the Bible and run around talking about just that. Here we find in Ecclesiastes 3:3, "A time to kill," and it does not mean there is a time we just go out and kill someone. So let me tell you what God is giving me on this. I want to call your attention to the Whitetail deer herd in our dear sweet Pennsylvania. While I at one time hunted, I don't anymore. With that said, there is a time to kill off the deer and thin out the herd, otherwise they are killed on the highway and cause lots and lots of damage to cars and even hurt or kill people in those accidents. Also in the farmers fields they cause damage to crops, etc. So with that deer herd there is a time to kill, and when the season for hunting is over, then there is a time to heal and they mate and have young again. Our Lord gave us animals that are for eating, and while I am not a butcher, I will tell you that I love a big burger topped with all the goodies. So there is a time to kill, but to have meat and keep it going there is a time to heal, keep reproducing. There has to be controls on this. Let me take you now to Luke 13:6/9.
Luke 6: Then He told this parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it,but did not find any. 7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?' 8 'Sir,' the man replied, 'leave it alone for one more year, and I'll dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.'" (NIV)
There are orchards all around Central Pennsylvania, and each year the orchards are reworked after the harvest. Trees that have run their life span are killed and new ones planted. Those folks running the orchards know the time when it needs done. Even little old me knew when I had at one time a really nice strawberry patch that to keep it going you would replant after three years. So you did one section of the patch every three years. That way you always had the fruit. Yes, a TIME TO KILL AND A TIME TO HEAL.
Now let's look at that second part of verse 3, a time to tear down and a time to build. For the example here I want to bring you forth to our present times. Let's look first at housing. Over the years lots of houses had to be torn down. Some because people did not build on the "Rock" but on sand, others because they were built badly and did not last, and still others because people just did not take care of them. Born and raised in Harrisburg, PA, I have seen some of the neighborhoods being rebuilt over and over again. Most of this, and I am calling it like it is, folks, most of it is the housing that people do not need to pay for or don't pay much for it. While that is not always the case, it does seem like if one is not working for what they get, they do not have that ownership pride in it. For whatever the reasons, those buildings are taken down and new ones put up. A TIME TO TEAR DOWN AND A TIME TO BUILD. Also things have changed in business. Years ago there were gas service stations on each corner. Down they came and up went the super stores with gas. Now they have places where they sell gas and you can also eat there. Next thing you know a sign will be put up that says, "EAT HERE AND GET GAS!" Yes, I just had to do it. Big steel plants have been torn down, land sets empty, then along comes someone wanting to use the land for something else. A TIME TO TEAR DOWN AND A TIME TO BUILD.
Now for all those who waited until the end, let me put it like this. A time to kill off sin and a time to heal by asking Jesus to forgive you of those sins. A time to tear down that old sinful past, and by holding onto Jesus rebuild your life. Yes, I once was lost but now am found, I was blind but now I see.
Dear Father in Heaven, I never know when I sit down at the keyboard how it is going to go, and I am amazed each day at what You place on my heart. Thanks for speaking to me this evening and thanks for Your healing hand on me. Now please bless this line and all who use it, and I do ask and pray, and give all thanks to You,in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings, killing off the bad habits and healing with new ones. And remember, please, you cannot outgive the Lord. Love ya. Pass that love on, please. Pastor Dan

Pastor Dan

Tuesday, November 12, 2013, A Time, Day One!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 - There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under Heaven. 2 A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, about two, maybe three weeks ago when Dolores and I were doing our Bible study in the morning, and we did our prayers, I asked our dear Lord to please help me with my reading and understanding. I think I have told you that I have never read a complete book in my life, except some of the books of the Bible. I asked God to point a book out to me and for Him to help me to read it and understand it. His answer came right back, read another book of the Bible, and I could hear Him plain as day say, read Ecclesiastes. Most often the messages God has given me came from the New Testament and most often the Gospels. So today He has directed me to start working on a message out of Ecclesiastes. So here I go and I can only think of it this way. In Ecclesiastes 3:1, there is a time for everything, and so the time has come for me to read the book He pointed me to. There is a time for everything, and brothers and sisters, we need to take the time when God gives us an assignment to do. Verse one also tells us there is a season for every activity under Heaven. However, brothers and sisters, there are some things under heaven that for we Christians are strictly OUT OF SEASON. God points out to us that the time for everything under heaven should be what is in His plans and will for us. So how do we find out about His plan and the activity He has for us to do? We talk to Him about it, we pray about it, and we ask for instructions. And brothers and sisters, think nothing of it, if indeed He changes His plans on you.
Next Friday (11/22/13) at the Glenvale Church of God, Dave, Duane, and Neil will be singing their final concert in Perry County singing under the name of the Couriers. Unless of course, God reworks the activity. If I know these men, and I think I do, they have no intention of FULLY RETIRING FROM ACTIVITIES UNDER HEAVEN. While it might be their intentions now to not sing again in Perry County, God might change their minds. In other words, they are going to be just adjusting their activities for our Lord. Again, I will use these guys as an example and I have not asked them if it was okay to mention them, but when I look at Ecclesiastes 3:1, there is a time for everything, and I am sure they have prayed and prayed about this, and maybe after all these years God has pointed them in another direction. But I am sure whatever direction it is, it will be centered around and for our Lord Jesus. I personally am excited about seeing what direction God will send them next.
Ecclesiates 3:2 - A time to be born and a time to die. Yes, as we think about it, we might think about our own life. Well, while we know the time we were born, we do not know when it will be our time to die. EXCEPT I KNOW THIS. Since there was a time I was "Born Again," I do not worry about that time to die, for indeed the Bible tells us that if we are "Born Again" we will live forever. As you think about this verse, Ecclesiastes 3:2, remember that God is in charge of all of this timing. Listen to these words from
Psalm 31:14 - But I trust in You, O Lord; I say, "You are my God," 15 My times are in Your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me. (NIV)
If you really think about it, our lives, from start to finish, are running on God's timing for us. Now let's take a look at that second part of Ecclesiastes 3:2. A time to plant and a time to uproot. Now please do not think about this as being about your garden or about the local farmer, yes, there is a time to plant your garden, and a time to uproot it, and that is the fall harvest, and when in the fall, the farmers plow after the harvest and turn the ground over. Think about this. For this example I want to go to another dear friend of mine, and again I did not talk to him about this first. This gentleman, Thomas Sansoni, I met years ago when Carry The Light Ministries was just getting started and we were helping the late Pastor Karen Layman with the church services at the Silver Spring Flea Market and dirt track racing. Tom has been a dear friend, and I even had the honor, under God, to marry him and his late wife Kathleen. Tom loves the Lord with all his heart, and over the years, his job, which he prayed for, has uprooted him several times. Tom and his bride would pack up and go and plant their feet at another location, find a place to live, find a church, and get involved again with not just the new job, but with a new body of believers and back doing the Lord's work. While one does not need to be moved around from town to town or state to state, we just never know when we follow God's plan for us where it will take us.
Sometimes God will plant us down and uproot us and we did not even understand it was God, but when we stop and think about our past, well, we think, that had to be the Lord. Brothers and sisters, I am reminded of this scripture from the book of Matthew.
Matthew 4:18 - As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed Him. (NIV)
Can you see what I am saying here? Even back when Jesus walked the earth, people were planted one way (fishermen) when they were uprooted and replanted (fishers of men).
So I ask this day, brothers and sisters, have you been planted and uprooted, and uprooted and planted? And if Jesus would call on you today, would you follow Him? Would you be uprooted for Jesus and follow His lead?
Dear Father in Heaven, help us to follow You in all we do, and now, Lord, plant our feet where You want them to be planted, and when You are ready for us to move on or make a change, help us to understand and be willing to be uprooted. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Pass that love on. Pastor Dan

Veterans Day 11/11/2013
Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for Jesus who died on the cross for our personal freedom. Thank You, Jesus, for doing that for us. Father, Thank You for all those who have served this great nation that You have permitted us to use. Thank You for our veterans, regardless of when they served or how they served. Bless them, Lord, and our current military, and please, Lord, bring our troops home safe and soon. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
John 15:7 - Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. (NIV)
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, to all of you who have served our country over the years, I want to say thank you very, very much. I thank Jesus for my personal salvation, and I give all glory and honor to Him for all of you who have served our nation over the years. From my wife, Dolores, who served in the Air Force, and then the 193rd to all the others on this line who served. If it were not for all of you and others who served over the years to keep our country free, we who preach, teach, sing or otherwise spread the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to all in this country, we would be in hiding to get it done.
Please, on Monday, November 11, 2013, take a few minute to think about what this country might be like if those who served "did not." I am not a veteran, but I sure do appreciate all those who have served. Lots of times we think of just the men who have served. The truth is women serve now and have since I have been on this earth. I have heard this said many times about those who served in the war zones: "Some gave all and all gave some."
In John 5:7 it tells us Greater LOVE has no one than this, that he LAY DOWN HIS life for his friends. (NIV)
To me, I think if one was willing to lay down his life but was spared that, he has showed that same love, and I surely appreciate all those who were willing to give their life for this nation, and if you were in the military you surely were willing, for no one knows when they would be sent into battle. Most often when we think of veterans we think of those who served in WWII, but we must also remember those who have served since then. From Korea, Vietnam, to small battles around the world, to Desert Shield and Desert Storm and Iraq and Afghanistan, our military is number one, second to none. We need to remember not just one day a year, but each day of our lives the veterans who some at just 18 years of age have left their body parts on the fields of far-off lands. And so many today still losing their lives for this nation.
I personally feel that we need to do just as the Bible tells us to do in 2 Chronicles 7:14. Let's look at that again.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Brothers and sisters, our country has drifted away from God. God has been removed from our schools, from our town squares, from meetings, and folks, even the prayer that I would give before the meetings of the Museum of Bus Transportation were stopped. WE NEED TO TURN BACK TO GOD!!
I also believe that to be President or Vice President of this great nation you should have military service, you should have served the country in the military to become Commander in Chief of the United States Military. (Anyone else feel this way?)
So today I say thank You, Jesus, for saving my soul, and thank you, veterans. Thanks to those who served in our Navy, Marines, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, and all the State Guard Units and all the reserve units. And I give thanks also to all those who are serving now,for indeed you are the veterans of tomorrow and the tomorrows after that.
I believe if we do not turn back to Christ, we will lose this nation. Take a look around you. If you cannot see it, you have your eyes and ears closed. Let's get back to Christ!
Thanks again, those who served, I love you, and for all others, I love you also, and for all of us, we need to go forth and share our blessings. Love ya. Pass it on. Pastor Dan. And God, please Bless America. Sing it, please.
God, (please) Bless America, land that I love.
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From mountains to the prairies
to the oceans white with foam
God, (please) Bless America, my home, sweet, home.
God, (please) Bless America, my home, sweet, home.
And the song is a prayer, so I close with ...
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Friday 11/8/13 Jesus Loves Me 8
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for another beautiful day, dear Father, and thanks again today for watching over our family and the families of all those who use this line. Dear Lord, Craig needs work, and Lord, open his eyes as You open a door for him to find a job. Be with his family. Thanks, Lord, and all praise and honor for Your healing hand on Dan Stoner, Lord, and thanks, dear Lord, for the improvement we see in Curtis. Lord, I love You and appreciate what all You do for all of us. Father, please help me keep focused on what I am doing. And be with all those others we are praying for. And today, Lord, please be with all those who work in Your fields of harvest. Now, dear Father in Heaven, please help me with the message. Anoint it for me and then help me to dispatch it. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Friday, November 8, 2013, Jesus Loves Me (Day eight).
Hebrews 12:4 - In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He punishes everyone He accepts as a son." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, we are going to look at one scripture at a time as I struggle to find a better way to serve the Lord and make the message complete without writing a book each day.
Yesterday I talked about why do bad things happen to good people, and again I do not know all the answers to this, and I am sure that I never will, but God does point out more and more to me each day. Hebrews 12 talks about God disciplining His sons. Please take time to read Hebrews 12. In verse 4 He tells us that we have not yet resisted sin to the point we are shedding our blood. As we get nearer and nearer to God, our sins should be less and less, we indeed are sinners and I know that I still mess up, but not nearly like I once did. You can see around us as we Christians get nearer and nearer to God our struggles will be changing. There are places today that if you park your car with words for Christ on them, your car might get damaged. We see now that people are walking into churches and shooting people. We know as believers that the time will come when we will be persecuted. Do not be concerned, just keep walking with God. This scripture goes on to tell us that we, we children of God, we who walk with Him will be disciplined. As a parent, do we not need to discipline our children to make them listen? Each in a different way today, maybe. The Bible tells us not to lose heart when He rebukes us. He only disciplines those He loves. My parents loved me, and I know that, and I was disciplined (I was a brat and I needed it). Listen, we see it today, kids running wild, parents not taking care of them. How can they love them when they let them do as they want? No time for the kids. God disciplines those He loves, and He punishes everyone He accepts. However, along with that discipline and that punishment comes forgiveness and eternal life. Brothers and sisters, He is lining us up to get into heaven. Think about it, if you did not love your children, why would you care what they did? Moving on.
Luke 7:5 - Because He loves our nation and has built our synagogue. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, Jesus is the same today, remember that, and today He loves this nation and if you think for one minute you can build a place of worship and do it without Jesus, you had better rethink it. Without Jesus, you are just kidding yourself. Church upon church has failed, and more still failing. Beautiful churches being boarded up, for they have not put Jesus in front. Some being torn down, some burnt, and some closed or merged because the attendance has fallen off. It just happened in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where three United Methodist Church flocks were merged into one.
It goes on and on. People, flocks of people need to get on their knees, invite our Lord Jesus into their church building and when the Holy Spirit comes in, so will more and more people. If you lock Jesus out, the Spirit leaves, and so will the flock.
Brothers and sisters, in closing up on Jesus Loves Me, it is the same with us today, Yes, Jesus Loves Me, and I need to keep talking to Him and loving Him, and His love to me, to us, will grow and grow in us, and as it does we will love Him more and more. Walking with the Love of Jesus will be the best way to walk. Will you walk with Him today?
Dear Father in Heaven, please help me walk with You each day, hold me with Your loving arms, please don't let me backslide again. Heal my wounds of battle, Lord, and forgive me and save me, dear Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Brothers and sisters, please pray today for all those we have been praying for. Please add Craig for a job, and pray for all those going into the fields of harvest to work for Jesus. Speaking of working for Jesus, an update on Dan Stoner follows my closing today. It was worded by Dan, and not changed. Now, my dear online flock I am falling asleep as I write, so I am closing up for now, saying this ...
Please go and share your blessings. Love ya. Pass that on. Pastor Dan

Nearly Completely Resolved
Oct 30,2013 6:47pm
So this is how the CT report reads ... "Previously noted large mass within upper abdomen has nearly completely resolved." The language is a little vague because there is still a very small mass in my abdomen that could be malignant or it might just be scar tissue. Either way we are continuing to pound away at this mass as we are now increasing the chemo dosage to level 4. Considering that I am just halfway through my chemo treatments, this is great news! God is once again showing that His hand is in the midst of this! My doctor is very happy with the response of the mass and my body's ability to tolerate chemo. I'm the first patient that he has ever had reach level 4. It might also be that I am the first patient he has ever had with this many people praying for them.
We were also blessed over the past two days by a visit from some very dear friends. We met Eric and Melissa while we were in language school together. They are now in the States for a surgical conference that Eric has to attend after having served in Togo for the past 10 months. Since Ohio is on the way from Africa to Memphis, not really, they stopped by to check up on us. Eric had the opportunity to meet my doctor this morning and we were able to confirm that the proper follow-up blood work and scans scan be performed in Togo. Eric's last words to me today ... "see you in Togo."
