Yes, Dear Father in Heaven, please send the Holy Spirit upon all of us this day.  Lord, we give You all honor and glory for a great night and a great day ahead of us.  I pray today that many, no, all on this line will plant this song on their hearts and lips and sing it today wherever they might go, Lord, be it doing housework or cooking or on the roads that are bad in this area.  I pray, Lord, that people would give their worries over to You and just sing over and over again, inviting You, through the power of the Holy Spirit to not just come in today but come in and stay.  Thanks for watching over us.  In Jesus' name, in Jesus' wonderful name, I give thanks and pray.  Amen.

Come on, brothers and sisters, please start singing this and keep it going, as you pass on that "I love you" to others today, let them hear you singing and singing.  If you woke this morning, you are blessed, and blessed well.  Show it, start singing and keep it going.  "I love you."  (Pass it on.)

If you email someone today, be sure to tell them you love them, and brothers and sisters, you can tell them that I love them also.  God's love to you today.  (Pass it on.)

Well, brothers and sisters, it is snowing here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  Now if you think Santa really likes snow, let me put it like this!  At my age, I have seen many snow storms, when I was a child I walked 25 miles one way to school and even did it with 2 feet of snow on the ground.  The snow would be so deep that one day I walked right over the roof of the school house and did not even see it.  (Gosh, I am starting to sound like my dad.)  Anyway, brothers and sisters, enjoy the snow, I would like to think it might be an onion snow, but you can't have an onion snow until after St. Patrick's Day.  All kidding aside, God has made it beautiful here at our home, and it is a home, because Jesus lives here and heads it up.  I pray it is as pretty at your home, and that you woke this morning in good spirits.  If not, I pray that today this message of love and costs will bring you to a good spirit.  AWAKE, MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, AND LET GOD IN.  Be alive, for our Lord Jesus is alive.  ALIVE, I SAID, HE IS ALIVE.  Amen and amen.  Now to the message.

There is a Cost 3/6/13 Day 3.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, each one of us over the years always wanted to see a nice paycheck.  I am sure most of you, as I did, would look at that check and our wages that we earned and would have loved to have it before Caesar took out his share, or shares.  As I have said before, there is a cost, and of course there is a cost for working here on earth, and each payday we could see, and still do see, those wages just get cut, cut and cut, and our leaders in Washington want  more money, even on this day when the Federal Government is closed.  I would wager you, if I did those things, that when Washington is closed, they get as much work done as when they are open.  (Did I really say that?)  Brothers and sisters, we do pay a cost to work, but that is okay, at least we have been blessed with jobs, and if you are like me, you love to work, you love working for others, and I still love that, long after I retired.  Today, though, it is much different, for I work for Jesus (I should have done it all along), but I work for Jesus, and He pays me with blessings.  And brothers and sisters, there is nothing deducted from our wages when working for Jesus.  Why, well, brothers and sisters, He paid all those things in advance for us.

Dear brothers and sisters, there is a wage we must pay if we do not come to Jesus, and the Bible is very, very clear about this.  We are sinners, brothers and sisters, all of us.  I am not judging you, I am just telling you that we, you and I, are sinners and that we do get paid for that.  Oh, yes, the Bible tells us that.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death. (NIV)

So go out and sin today and know that it is in the Bible that you will get a wage for those sins.  The wage is death and not even your local leaders who have their hands out for your wages for your earthly work want a thing to do with taking some of these wages.  "The wages of sin is death."

The president who wants more and more taxes from the rich, Congress who will take taxes from anyone, and the governors of your state have their hand out, will not take this one on.  But we have a friend, one dear, dear friend who did and still does take this sin, your wages and loads them on Himself and carries them for you.  He took them to the cross and did not just deduct half or two thirds from your wages, but He took all of those wages, every last one of them, and He took them from you.  Here it is straight from the Bible.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  (NIV)

God gave us a gift, He took 100% of our wages for our sins and carried them to the cross and if we ask Him, He will clean them off your list and mine today.  Brothers and sisters, don't you just love the way our Lord Jesus works?  Oh, one little detail that I left out, just one and it is small, OR IS IT?

Jesus will take our sins and forgive us, if, IF, yes, here it comes, there is an if!!  We must forgive others, those who have sinned against us, who have hurt us, who have trampled onus over the years and we must, we must forgive them to be forgiven by our Lord Jesus.  Lord's prayer, folks, "Forgive us of our debts (sins) AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO HAVE SINNED AGAINST US."

So today as we close up and as we pray to be forgiven, I am going to ask God to open our eyes and forgive those who we might be holding back on forgiving.  In other words, let us forgive those who we are struggling to forgive.  And let us go then to Jesus and have our WAGES ATTACHED and our sins removed.

Dear Father in Heaven, please open my eyes so that if I am holding back on forgiving anyone, please bring that in front of me and have me deal with it.  For those I have offended, please help them forgive me. j And Lord, please, please take all of my wages, all of my sins and deduct them from my "wages of sin" and save me from the gates of Hell, as you mark my name in the Book of Life.  Right now, Lord, I ask for forgiveness of my sins, and I pray others will do the same right now. ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thank You, Lord Jesus, for making us whole again, and thanks for taking it all, all of the sins, all of our wages.  Thank You, Father God, for Your Son Jesus and thanks, Jesus, for Your life You spent on me, on us.  I will try hard each day to love on You and tell others about You, for this, Lord, I will need Your help.  So I ask it in Jesus' name.  Amen.

Now go forth forgiving others and sharing your blessings with others, and on this snowy day here in Central PA and other places, put this song in your heart ... and remember, "I love ya."  (Pass it on.)
