Friday 9/28/12 Two to One!

Dear Heavenly Father, forgive us of our sins and forgive me for being late with the message.  I am sorry, Lord, I just did not get to the computer to sit down and listen to You.  I find it amazing how you pointed me to this message the day after this happened.  Thanks always for being with me, being with us, even when we are not with You.  Help us, Lord.  Be with Pam, Patty, and Alan as they travel this coming week.  Be also in our food pantry as the food supply is running low.  Thanks for helping us to never turn anyone away and keep serving them in the name of Jesus.  I pray this day and give thanks for all things good in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Salvation Friday and I almost missed it, yes, it is still Salvation Friday.  I am just running late.  God gave me a message for this, and I pray I do it justice for Him.  Prayers today for ministry team member Pamela, her sister Patricia and husband Alan as they travel this next week.  Prayers for Donna and her family, Vicki and her family, and Jeremy who was hit by a car.  Prayers also for those who are unsaved that God might use us to bring in the lost.  I always need to remind we who work for Jesus bringing in the lost that we cannot save anyone, that is the work of Jesus.  Our job is to get them to Jesus.  Pray for pastors and all others who work hard for Jesus.  Special prayers today for Pastors Phil and Jan Enloe as they pastor in the sunny south.

September 28, 2012:  Two to One!

James 1:19 - My dear brothers, take note of this:  Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.  21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, I want you to go to the mirror and take a good look at your face.  Go ahead, I will wait. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, did you get a good look?  The Bible tells us to be quick to listen and slow to speak.  Did you notice when you looked in the mirror, God has given us one mouth and two ears?  While God did give men something that He did not give women and that is "selective hearing" - yes, yes, we men sometimes only hear what we want to hear - MEN, LISTEN UP.  Do not turn God off, do not use that selective hearing on anyone, and never, never use it o God.  To hear God you must really listen.

There is also one thing about the mouth that I want both men and women to note.  That is when it comes to putting out words, either one at a time or in the form of a sentence or even a statement, the mouth, when it comes to words, only works one way.  It is one way out, and you cannot put words back into your mouth once they are out.  I think God missed a part when He made us, I think He should have made our tongue into a scale so that "we could weigh our words" before we speak them.  And when it comes to hearing what God is saying, folks, we must, in most cases, be still and listen, although I have had Him speak to me even when I am in a crowd, and I am sure He speaks to me as I teach and preach His word.  I pray He will never let me go out n my own, that He would stop me if I ever would start preaching words not found in the Bible, as happens in some churches.

Trust me, folks, when a pastor stands in front of his flock and tells them it is okay for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman, that pastor is preaching a lie, and they will be held accountable for that.

LISTEN UP AND HEAR THIS.  The computer, the texting, the facebook entries, are all an EXTENSION OF YOUR MOUTH, and once it is out there, it is outo there forever and ever.  Your eyes become a part of your hearing or reading one.  And folks, check out the facts you read, lots of lies out there.  And folks, even, EVEN check up what your pastors preach and yes, what I write, and back it up with the Bible.  Insist on the truth.

Brothers and sisters, as we look around us, we can see if our eyes are open (and He gave us two of them also).  We can see many things that God does not like.  Now I know that He will never destroy the earth again by water, but to say it like it might have been back in the days of Noah, you better get on board, for the door is closing.  YOU NEED TO GET ON BOARD WITH JESUS.  Don't put it off for another day, for it could be too late.

When you get up in the morning, start by thanking God for a night's rest and waking you on the green side of the grass.  Then ask Him to forgive you of your sins and then ask Him to help you walk with Him in all you do.  You don't need to ask Him to walk with you, for God will never leave you.  We just need help walking with Him.  Folks, thank Him for all things good and talk to Him often, and also remember to listen for Him to talk to you.   And folks, listen also to others around, and pray for people and pray with them.  Don't be someone who says, "I will pray for you."  Take their hand and pray for them on the spot.  If you have trouble doing that, remember, God will help you get it done.  He really, really will.

Dear Lord, we need Your help in all we do, in all we do.  We love You, Lord, please walk with us this day, and please help us to listen more and talk less in all we do, and Lord, help us to use our brain and to also remember that the computer, facebook, and texting are all part or an extension of our mouth.  Help us to be sure of what we put out.  In the name of Jesus, I ask that You come into our hearts this day, come into my heart this day and save us.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now go forth, go forth and share your blessings, listen for God, help others, and live for and work for God in all you do.  Love ya, Pastor Dan.
