Dear Heavenly Father, forgive us of our sins and forgive me for being late with the message. I am sorry, Lord, I just did not get to the computer to sit down and listen to You. I find it amazing how you pointed me to this message the day after this happened. Thanks always for being with me, being with us, even when we are not with You. Help us, Lord. Be with Pam, Patty, and Alan as they travel this coming week. Be also in our food pantry as the food supply is running low. Thanks for helping us to never turn anyone away and keep serving them in the name of Jesus. I pray this day and give thanks for all things good in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Salvation Friday and I almost missed it, yes, it is still Salvation Friday. I am just running late. God gave me a message for this, and I pray I do it justice for Him. Prayers today for ministry team member Pamela, her sister Patricia and husband Alan as they travel this next week. Prayers for Donna and her family, Vicki and her family, and Jeremy who was hit by a car. Prayers also for those who are unsaved that God might use us to bring in the lost. I always need to remind we who work for Jesus bringing in the lost that we cannot save anyone, that is the work of Jesus. Our job is to get them to Jesus. Pray for pastors and all others who work hard for Jesus. Special prayers today for Pastors Phil and Jan Enloe as they pastor in the sunny south.
September 28, 2012: Two to One!
James 1:19 - My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, I want you to go to the mirror and take a good look at your face. Go ahead, I will wait. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, did you get a good look? The Bible tells us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Did you notice when you looked in the mirror, God has given us one mouth and two ears? While God did give men something that He did not give women and that is "selective hearing" - yes, yes, we men sometimes only hear what we want to hear - MEN, LISTEN UP. Do not turn God off, do not use that selective hearing on anyone, and never, never use it o God. To hear God you must really listen.
There is also one thing about the mouth that I want both men and women to note. That is when it comes to putting out words, either one at a time or in the form of a sentence or even a statement, the mouth, when it comes to words, only works one way. It is one way out, and you cannot put words back into your mouth once they are out. I think God missed a part when He made us, I think He should have made our tongue into a scale so that "we could weigh our words" before we speak them. And when it comes to hearing what God is saying, folks, we must, in most cases, be still and listen, although I have had Him speak to me even when I am in a crowd, and I am sure He speaks to me as I teach and preach His word. I pray He will never let me go out n my own, that He would stop me if I ever would start preaching words not found in the Bible, as happens in some churches.
Trust me, folks, when a pastor stands in front of his flock and tells them it is okay for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman, that pastor is preaching a lie, and they will be held accountable for that.
LISTEN UP AND HEAR THIS. The computer, the texting, the facebook entries, are all an EXTENSION OF YOUR MOUTH, and once it is out there, it is outo there forever and ever. Your eyes become a part of your hearing or reading one. And folks, check out the facts you read, lots of lies out there. And folks, even, EVEN check up what your pastors preach and yes, what I write, and back it up with the Bible. Insist on the truth.
Brothers and sisters, as we look around us, we can see if our eyes are open (and He gave us two of them also). We can see many things that God does not like. Now I know that He will never destroy the earth again by water, but to say it like it might have been back in the days of Noah, you better get on board, for the door is closing. YOU NEED TO GET ON BOARD WITH JESUS. Don't put it off for another day, for it could be too late.
When you get up in the morning, start by thanking God for a night's rest and waking you on the green side of the grass. Then ask Him to forgive you of your sins and then ask Him to help you walk with Him in all you do. You don't need to ask Him to walk with you, for God will never leave you. We just need help walking with Him. Folks, thank Him for all things good and talk to Him often, and also remember to listen for Him to talk to you. And folks, listen also to others around, and pray for people and pray with them. Don't be someone who says, "I will pray for you." Take their hand and pray for them on the spot. If you have trouble doing that, remember, God will help you get it done. He really, really will.
Dear Lord, we need Your help in all we do, in all we do. We love You, Lord, please walk with us this day, and please help us to listen more and talk less in all we do, and Lord, help us to use our brain and to also remember that the computer, facebook, and texting are all part or an extension of our mouth. Help us to be sure of what we put out. In the name of Jesus, I ask that You come into our hearts this day, come into my heart this day and save us. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Now go forth, go forth and share your blessings, listen for God, help others, and live for and work for God in all you do. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Thursday 9/27/12 Trials and Temptations
Good Morning, Dear Father in Heaven. Help us this day to get past our trials and to carry whatever life deals us to keep on working for You. Block temptations from our view and from our minds. Forgive us of our sins of yesterday and wash that dirt off of our bodies and minds. In Jesus' Name, we ask for healing for Jeremy and that You will heal his broken bones and fix those parts damaged by being struck by a car. We pray today for Sharon (Ohio) that you will take care of her as she is returned to the hospital. We also pray for Donna that You might comfort her and give her rest ... In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a great day to be alive and alive in Jesus. In fact, I dare say this morning if you are not alive in Jesus, then you are indeed not alive at all. Today I am wrapping the series of messages on trials and temptations and just telling you a tad about where all this good stuff we have comes from. Let's get started, and remember, it is Thursday and the day we pray for churches, schools, and families. And please remember our online family. Thanks.
September 27, 2012, Trials and Temptations.
James 1:17 - Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of all He created. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, take a little time today and look around you and see what all God has given to you, given to us, and given to us to share with others. The Bible tells us that "Every good and perfect gift is from above." Let me tell you, start as you look around at just the air you breathe in. Some say it is bad; for me, it is done well, for me, for 71 plus years of breathing it. Take a look at the food God has given us, and with the help of those hard working farmers it keeps on coming. We are truly a blessed people, not just a blessed country, but a blessed people. Yet some do not appreciate it. Think of this, God's greatest gift to us was His Son Jesus and His Son dying for us so we might live. After that I think God's greatest gift is our children. Yes, God has trusted His children to us for care and comfort and raising. We are all children of God, and it is a great gift. If you got something and it is no good, then it did not come from God, and trust me when I say there are a lot of things out there this day and age that are no good, and they did not come from God. I would not say all the bad stuff comes from evil, but it might have started there. Just like God has His disciples, and I pray you are one of them today, Satan also has his workers, and yes, some, some even try and play both sides of the fence. I am sure you have seen some in your days. Some might even go to church on Sunday but on the other six days of the week they are not at all walking with God.
Brothers and sisters, if you think you can sneak one in on God, think again. God The Father knows what we are going to think even before we think it. We might have fooled our earthly dads but we cannot fool our Heavenly Father. Just today I received a prayer request from someone who requested prayer for a friend, and before the end of the request they used a bad word. Like God did not see it? Yeah, right! No, I am not saying who it was, but I am asking you to pray for that person who I will just let be nameless today.
Wow, it is fall and to me the nicest time of the year as we get to see the trees change from green to all colors that God can paint. God is good. Just now I am seeing a great gift of God walking up our driveway. It is our dear friends Grant and Wanda and they are coming to go singing with us today.
So today, let's just look at the trials in our lives, and the temptations in our lives, and now compare it with the gifts God has given us, and remember He does not cause the trials. I can truthfully say this, with all the trials I have had in my life, through all the pain and all I can say this. We have six children, and that is six great gifts, and now they have kids and that is more great gifts, so bring on the trials, with Jesus we can get through them all ... Count your blessings, folks, count your blessings and cling to God, for God is good ... Amen.
Dear Lord, please walk the day with us and help us to walk it with You. Help us repent and be full-time in Your service, for we do not want to be part-time workers for You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth and share just some of those blessings that God has given to you. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Wednesday 9/26/12 Trials and Temptations
Dear Father in Heaven, please start us fresh this Wednesday morning by forgiving us of our sins. I ask that you forgive me. And Lord, I am learning of a young man, Jeremy Green, who was hit by a car yesterday in Florida and is in very bad shape. I pray today You will look into him and heal him for us and let him here with us. Be also with his family, dear Lord. Lord, thanks for all You do for us, and thanks for protecting this line from all that try and shut it down. Satan is busy, Lord, but You are indeed in charge. We pray for our upcoming election today and pray for our Jewish friends on this day, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Good Prayer meeting Wednesday, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole, just beautiful. As you can see in the prayer above, Jeremy Green needs our prayers. He was in a crosswalk and was run over by a car which "blew through a red light." He is in very, very bad shape, with lots of trauma. Please pray for those in our flock at the Bridges. It seems we have lost about four people in the past week to death. We pray that they all went home to be with God.
Trials and Temptations 9/26/12.
James 1:12 - Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. 13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. (NIV)
Blessed is the man, the the term man means man and woman, folks. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial. How about you today, do you have trials going on in your life? Yesterday we had several families in for food and today we have more coming. Some were first time folks, they just cannot make it, even though they have jobs. I can understand that, and if you are the one doing the shopping for food, you can understand why. A couple of years ago, we could buy store brand green beans and corn for 38 cents per can, now it is 89 cents per the same size can. Why? Because instead of drilling for gas and oil, we are putting corn in our fuel. Folks, things are changing very fast, but I do not want to get off point here. These changes you see today in our world are causing trials in a lot of lives. Military people off at war and families at home, and it seems again this country or a lot of people are not supporting our military. Have we forgotten what happened on 9/11/2001?
Folks, according to our Bible, we will be blessed when we persevere through our trials regardless of what they are, and trust me, they come in many, many forms. Not all trials are caused by evil, although some are. Some of our trials are caused by daily living, some by sickness or pain, some from accidents, some from the lack of work, or not being able to pay the bills even though you go to work. And yes, some are caused by evil forces, but we should not blame God. GOD LOVES US AND WILL HELP US WALK through the storms of life, He will pick us up when we fall down. We should, no, we must not give up, we must move forward and walk with Jesus. Regardless of what happens in our lives, we have one person we can always count on. His name is Jesus and He is our friend in times of trouble. He is our strength when we are weak, He is our hope when all else seems lost. And He is the one who in the end will be standing beside us and holding onto us as we cross over the Jordan and go home to Him. PRAISE GOD.
The Bible tells us God will never tempt us, but evil will and it will not always be the master of evil, the devil, sometimes it is just our rotten selves that cause our temptations. Today as we go to prayer, I would like you all to say this to Satan ... "Satan, go to hell where you belong, we are walking with God."
Dear Father in Heaven, please hold us up today, walk us through our trials and temptations and hold onto our hands and help us to hold onto You. Lord, we love You and we hate sin and we hate Satan and we want him out of our lives. Help us to repent from our sins, all of them, and walk away from the things that cause our sins, the temptations of life, and all that is bad for us. Help us to not just walk with You, but also work for You, helping others along the way. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings, and know that Jesus wants to help you, help you with your daily walk in life, He wants to be a part of your life and He wants to head up your home ... Let him, for you will never do better than choosing Jesus as your leader. Pray hard for this election and don't vote for your paycheck, vote for what is best for our Nation and what is best for everyone, not just you. We who are Christians are one up on the rest of the world, we have Jesus, Jesus, who is ALIVE AND WELL, and will hold our hands daily. Don't fight it, rejoice in it ... Love ya, Pastor Dan.
P.S. ... Remember this ... Alone, you cannot make it, but with Jesus you can and will make it ...

Tuesday 9/25/12 Trials and Temptations
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory FOREVER. Amen.
Now please sing with me.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Here is a date for you to put in your book. Carry The Light Ministries will be dedicating Santa's House to the Lord on Friday, November 2, 2012, at 6:00 PM. Come straight from work and enjoy some homemade soup and a hotdog as we give this building to the Lord for His work and re-dedicate the food pantry to Him also.
Tuesday and the day we pray for a cure for cancer and heart problems and other diseases. God is the answer, of course, so let's zero in on the cures. Please keep the Fortney family in your prayers today. Also pray for Tom Sansoni as he interviews for work.
Trials and Temptations 9/25/12.
James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord. 8 He is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does. (NIV)
Wow, what great verses (as all scripture is, I might say). But listen to this, if we lack wisdom, all we need to do is ask God and believe and He will give it to us generously. I have a question, how often have we asked God for wisdom or wisdom and understanding so we can think things through? So often we start on something and we do not ask for God's help up front, and sometimes it is wisdom we need. Please do not think big things all the time, how about when you purchase something and you get it home and must put it together? You look over the instructions and they are written so small you can hardly see the print, and it is written in 25 different languages and none are English. We need wisdom in some very simple things, and we need wisdom in some very major things. One is of course raising our families, and another big one right now is getting ready to vote. Once again I tell all of you folks I vote as a CHRISTIAN SHOULD, I VOTE LIFE. Pray please for wisdom and listen to God.
But let's look deeper into the scripture of today. If we do not believe and we ask for wisdom, we are not going to get it. He who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. It is not just when you pray for wisdom, folks, it is when you pray for anything. If you do not believe that God is going to answer that prayer, and you feel that way, why waste your time praying about it? Believe and trust in God, my dear brothers and sisters, and when you pray, trust God to answer your prayers in the best way for you, according to His will for you. AMEN. If you do not believe, you should not think you are going to get anything from those prayers, you cannot expect anything from the Lord. Folks, we need to really believe in our Lord and trust in Him in all we do, not just some things but in all things, ALL THINGS. Listen to this. If a man does not believe, he should not expect to get a thing from the Lord and the scripture tells us that the person is "a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."
Dear Father in Heaven, help us walk the walk with You, and not just talk the walk, help us in all we do, and help us to do it with You. Grant us this day the wisdom and understanding to understand better what is going on around us and the wisdom to stay with You in these hard, hard times. Forgive us of our sins and help us to repent. Be with Dave and his family this day and also be with Tom and open a door for him to work. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Now go forth and serve the Lord and share your blessings that came from Him to you. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
Now please sing with me.

Monday 9/24/12 Trials and Temptations
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us of our sins as we start this work week and please, dear Lord, help us work through our trials and keep us away from temptations. I love You, Jesus, and I pray today in Your name. Amen.
Good Morning, brothers and sisters. Sorry I missed a few days last week, but back in the chair again today. God is directing me in a different direction this week and asking me to point out a few things, but first a few praise reports that came in last week.
Praise report in from Donna about her sister Beverly. God is good, she is getting the help she needs.
This one in from Helen, who we prayed for to get a new job.
I would like to PRAISE THE LORD for directing me to a wonderful job with great people. Also, getting me through a very hard time to get to this point. It's funny you asked this because I was riding in the car today thinking about how great the Lord is and how things are so much better now - I looked up and praised Him right then and there ... Helen
We also heard that Barbara is improving, all glory to God.
Clarence Fortney has been promoted from earth to Heaven and is now with Jesus. To be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord. Please pray for Dave Fortney and his family, including his mother and brother.
Trials and Temptations 9/24/12.
James 1:2 - Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV)
Let me ask you this question straight out this morning. If you got up each day, you never had an ache or pain, you had a great job where everything always went well. You never had to be concerned about children or even a pet. If you never had to get concerned about where your next meal was coming from or you never were short on funds to make all your bills. Would you still love the Lord? You know, there are a lot of us who came solid to the Lord when we seemed to be at the bottom of our lives, yes, when we did not have anyone else to turn to. Seems I can almost hear the Lord saying to me, Dan, now you come to me, I have been waiting a long, long time.
But when you get up in the morning and you face trials, and most of us face them, and they are not all the same. For some it might be pain, for others it might be going to a job you hate, or for some maybe no job to go to. While others the trial might be a big, big traffic tie-up on your way to work. Or you wonder how you can balance your life at work with all that needs done around the house.
Brothers and sisters, the good news is, we are to consider it PURE JOY whenever we face those trials of many kinds and that is according to James 1:2. Consider it pure joy!! Folks, it would be much better some days to just roll over in bed, bury your head under the pillow and not get up and go to work, or move out. But folks, if you are having a day like that, talk to Jesus and know that He has work for you to do, not just what you might have planned at your job site, but if you are walking with Him, He just might lead you in a path to help Him get the word out, or like He did with Helen, lead her to find another job at the same employment person, just a different office. So when you are down, instead of walking around with your head to the ground, TRY LOOKING UP AND FIND YOUR ANSWER WITH OUR LORD JESUS. He is wonderful and He will be there for you in good times and bad. Trust me when I say, He will never walk away from us, but we might just walk away from Him. If that is you, try going back today.
Dear Father in Heaven, I confess I have drifted and I want to come back, I have faced trials and trials of many types and I need You to walk Me through them. Thanks for helping me, Jesus. I love You, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Maybe this scripture will help you this day.
Psalm 23:4 - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (NIV)
Now go forth and share your blessings, and walk with God. Amen. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Thursday 9/20/12 Rolling in the Dirt!
Dear Father in Heaven: Please forgive me of my sins and help me to repent and not go out and be rolling in the dirt again. Help me with the message, dear Lord, please, and Lord, please be with Dave Fortney and his family and stand beside Dave's dad, Clarence. Dear Lord, we trust in You and put Clarence Fortney into Your arms saying dear Lord, Thy Will be Done ... Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, as you've noticed, I have been missing days here and there. The truth is I am tired and hurt and need your prayers. Dolores is also in a lot of pain. Still we will not slack back on working for our Lord Jesus for we feel this is what He wants us to do. I would like to hear from you between now and Monday as I would really like to update our prayer list. So often we post people for prayers but never get a praise report or hear anything about how that person is doing. To take three words from my dear friend Pastor Larry Hale on his prayer line, "Please, Please, Please," and he also is telling us that we need to get out praise reports. WE NEED TO LET GOD KNOW WE APPRECIATE WHAT HE DOES IN OUR LIVES. Amen.
It is Thursday and the day we pray for Churches, Schools, and Families. Also from now to election day, please pray for God's will in the election and please pray and vote. Please vote your heart BASED ON THE BIBLE.
Rolling in the Dirt:
Matthew 4:17 - From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near."
Isaiah 12:3 - With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, most of you know that we love animals. We love our dogs and cats, and we even have goats and a chicken. Here is the run-down of our four-legged friends. Eleven dogs, 4, maybe 5 or 6 cats (some come just to eat), 5 goats, and a pet chicken. Oh, the chicken has just two legs. When my dear beloved Martin was a puppy I would take him in the shower with me and give him a bath. Now he goes to the groomer with one or two other dogs each month. Most often when I bring the dogs home from the groomer, looking so pretty and clean, they go out into the dog yard and they go "rolling in the dirt." Well, folks, it is not just the dogs who go rolling in the dirt, if you think about it, don't we do the same thing?
We go to our Lord Jesus, and if you are like me, you start the day asking Him to forgive you of your sins. We know we are to repent, so I even asked God to help me repent of my sins. And folks, I want you to look at "sins as dirt." We know that Jesus went to the cross to clear us of our sins, and we know He want us to repent. What was the main message that Jesus preached and taught as He walked this earth? He taught us to repent, Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Yes, He healed many, He fed thousands, but His main mission was to come and die so that we might live. He is our salvation and the ONLY WAY TO GET TO HEAVEN. Yet, with all that said, we do tend to go out each day and go "rolling in the dirt."
Now brothers and sisters, I am not talking about you walking out in your yard, getting down on the ground and rolling in that type of dirt four-legged friend and buddy Martin does. I am talking about going out and rolling in the dirt of filth and sin. Sometimes, friends, we sort of just fall into it, and why? Maybe because we are not walking arm in arm with Jesus. Maybe we sort of do a walk-about even if it is just for an hour or two. Maybe even, and folks, I must confess that years ago I did just this ... It went like this, please, Lord, forgive me of the sin I am about to do! In other words you know, or in this case I knew what I was about to do was not what God would want me to do so I sort of put the request in early. I guess that would be like my dog laying beside me in bed after a bath, giving me a kiss and then getting out of bed, going out through the dog door and "rolling in the dirt."
How often have you gone "rolling in the dirt"? How often have you gone to the "Well of Salvation" and drawn from God's Love to be cleaned up again? Will you repent with me now, get cleaned up and try not going out and "rolling in the dirt"?
Dear Lord, forgive us of our sins and help us to repent. We know You love us and when we ask in faith to be forgiven You forgive us, but we really need the help in repenting. Help us, dear Lord. In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Now go forth and share your blessings and please, no "rolling in the dirt." Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Mon/Tues 9/17-18/12 No One Knows
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us of our sins, please, Lord, forgive me of my sins, help us this day to walk with You and to talk with You and to listen to You in all we do. Thanks, Lord, for this line, and Lord, please help me with the messages. I am struggling, Lord, and I need You as always, please talk to me, Lord. In Jesus' name, I give thanks, give praise, and also make requests. Amen.
Good Monday evening and/or Tuesday morning, my dear sweet brothers and sisters. Happy Birthday, United States Air Force. I am running late, I had to wait upon the Lord for the message. Well, Monday and the day we pray for our leaders and all those who have authority over us. And when I say that today, I ask you to start praying about the upcoming elections. Pray hard and listen for God to instruct you. Please do not vote to try and save some benefit you get from the government. I am not going to tell you how to vote, but I am going to tell you that "this family votes life." Monday is also the day we pray for our veterans, our troops, and right now they are in great danger. Just yesterday another one of our military was killed, murdered by one of those we are fighting for. It is also the day we pray for our police and firefighters. And folks, while we were sleeping in our area, police and firefighters were out in the rain on three locations tending to accidents where tractor trailer trucks have rolled over. And most of our firefighters do not get paid. (Support your local fire company, please.) Please also pray for Dolores, Patsy, Burt, Barbara, Vicki, Helen, Sterling, Luella, and others on our ongoing prayer list.
No One Knows:
Matthew 24:36 - "No one knows about that day, or hour, not even the angels in heaven, not the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field, one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left." (NIV)
In the words of our Lord Jesus above, no one knows when He will return, not even Jesus himself.
When I look in my Bible and read the events about Noah, the flood and the ark, and how people were acting back then, and I look today at the news, the ads in the paper and phone books, and even the pop up ads on the computer, when I look at the news coming out of Harrisburg, where people call a place on Second Street "Restaurant Row", I see things that would remind me of the days of the really big flood.
As sad and as bad as it is, we hear of one of our military killed in battle, but unless you watch the news, you do not see that just last night an 18-year old was shot to death in Chambersburg, PA, and police in Harrisburg are looking for a PUNK who shot from within a car at a group of girls on a porch hitting one in the leg with two shots. So today I want to talk to you about one of the biggest coming events that will not just affect your life but the lives of every person in the WORLD. The big event, God the Father is going to get sick and tired of what is going on here on earth, not just in America, and He is going to send Jesus back for those who are His. Those who do not just confess to knowing Jesus but who really do know Him and show Him just how much they love by their actions, works and life.
Let me ask you this. Do the events of the days of Noah remind you of what is going on today? Please take a minute to just look around you. Some of it might be going on in your own home.
Matthew 24:36 - "No one knows about that day, or hour, not even the angels in heaven, not the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark."
The word of God is out there, folks, and the warnings are in the Bible and they are being taught and preached in most churches in these days. I do not mean pastors are trying to tell their flocks the day and date of the coming of Jesus. They, the pastors preaching the complete truth, are saying it is going to happen. And as Andre wrote in his song, "Soon and very soon." Brothers and sisters, wake up. If you do not see these things happening, your eyes are closed. We have a job to do. In fact, we have several jobs to do. First and foremost, we need to tell folks about Jesus and His love and how they can be saved. Second, we need to be trying our very best to turn around those evil things that are happening right now in our cities and towns and sometimes even in our very own homes. We can see it all around us, people wanting men to be able to marry another man, or women to be able to marry another woman. We see and hear of grown people being given trust in our children, and they take advantage of that child. (I am thinking Penn State Football and how that stuff got hidden so as not to mess up a football program.) School teachers taking advantage of their students, and so on and so forth. Doctors who have taken an oath to help people who went to medical school and now they are doing abortions. Gosh, they went to college to learn how to make money murdering a child of God. That is breaking the commandment "Thou shall not murder." People signing up for food stamps and getting them and then selling them off for big screen TVs and the business owners getting involved by taking them. That is called Welfare Fraud, in the Bible they are breaking the commandment "Thou shall not steal."
Now as I start to wrap this up, I tell you it is time for me to ask this question ... You are at work, let's say you are a waiter or a waitress, you are working with another person and the Lord comes back. Will you be the one that is taken with Jesus or will you be the one who remains? Let's say you are in a fast moving train and the Lord returns, the engineer loves the Lord and is taken, are you going to be sitting on the runaway train, or are you going to go with the engineer to meet Jesus in the air?
Now the big one, you are sitting around your table eating a big meal, let's say your full family and it is Thanksgiving, the turkey is on the table, the ham is fresh with all the trimmings and you are having REAL mashed potatoes, when all of a sudden the Lord returns, will all your family be taken, or will one or two have a lot to eat as they ponder where the rest went? Will you be left with the turkey and the ham or will you be with The King?
Matthew 24:40 - "Two men will be in the field, one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left."
When Noah shut the door to the ark, those in the ark were saved, including the animals, the rest died in the flood. When the Lord returns, some will go and the rest remain. Will you go or will you remain? Brothers and sisters, we are children of God, all of us. He made us and not we ourselves. So it is time to get with the program. Are you onboard with Jesus or on the outside looking in?
COME TO CHRIST TODAY. TOMORROW MIGHT BE TOO LATE ...
Dear Father in Heaven, I pray for peace, for the day when You send Jesus back, but until that day, please help me repent of my sins and to work for You telling the world the Good News of Jesus. Help me, and help others reading this. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings that have been trusted to you. And remember this today. NO ONE KNOWS ... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Now go forth and share your blessings that have been trusted to you. And remember this today. NO ONE KNOWS ... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

9/15/12 Salvation Friday
Dear Father in Heaven, As we start this day, as we start out, we ask that You come upon us, that You forgive us of our sins, I ask that You forgive me of my sins. I also pray that You will watch over this line and feed me the messages always as You want them to be. Lord, I pray for peace this day, asking You please, do not just bless America, but bless the world, and truly bring peace. I love You, Lord, and pray in Your name, the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Good Salvation Friday (yes, on Saturday morning.) What a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole and the home of Carry The Light Ministries including the "Food Pantry" and coming really soon, "Santa's House", where children and others will hear the true Christmas Story.
Please mark these dates:
Friday, November 2nd, at 6:00 PM, Santa's House gets dedicated to the Lord. Come early, we will even feed you (hot dog menu).
Saturday, December 1st, 9:00 AM, Sort, Pick, and Pack food. We should be done by noon.
Saturday, December 15th, 9:00 AM to noon, Food Pantry Food Distribution Day. This is a great day, helping to load cars with lots and lots of food and to pray with each person that comes in. Of course how much food the needy receive depends on how much food we take in.
Also we are going to have a lighting party. If you like to put up Christmas lights, please call me and let me know. This event will be real soon.
Brothers and sisters, working for God is fun, you get tired, but it is fun and it is rewarding also. Let me get to the message.
Salvation Friday, and yes, the message is going to be about Salvation. Let's get rolling with some scripture.
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. NO one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)
1 Timothy 2:5 - For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (NIV)
Acts 4:12 - Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (NIV)
Romans 10:9/10 - If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (NIV)
John 14:1/4 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, Trust also in me. In my Father's house there are many rooms; if it were not so I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (NIV)
Jesus spoke to my heart this morning telling me that it is a good day to talk about Salvation. I am not talking just about you saying you know Jesus, I am talking about you saying and acting like you know Jesus and have Him in your heart. Have you watched the news lately? Have you watched the world news, and the Muslims who have been storming the streets and burning things, like our American Flag, and killing Americans? Most Muslims are peaceful people and are not looking to kill off Americans and moreso Christian Americans. I know and I just wrote about it, "There will be wars and rumors of wars" but brothers and sisters, this is bad, and it appears that we do not have the support of our president in speaking out against all these events. My job for Jesus, and my commitment to Him and this line is to get the WORD out about Jesus. So let me ask this question ...
Who needs Salvation, Salvation through Jesus? Let me answer that question for all of you. The only ones who need Salvation through Jesus are those who plan on going to Heaven and not going to Hell. And brothers and sisters, there is a tad more involved than just saying I have come to Jesus. You must work for Him to prove your faith in Him. Let me ask you this way. If you were arrested for being a Christian, for loving Jesus, and would go to court, could people find evidence to prove your guilt? Would you be found guilty for loving Jesus, or would you walk??
The scriptures are very, very clear. Jesus went to the cross and was put to death for our sins, and to save us. He was risen from the dead so that if we believe in Him we will also be risen to be where He, Jesus, is. Jesus is the only way, and we must believe and have faith. If you are truly saved, you will know that when it happened your own life changed. If you are not truly saved, when you finally come to Jesus, your life will change, you will become a brand new person, and you might even lose some friends, maybe even family members. The Bible tells us this, for there is a price to pay when you follow Jesus. When you truly become saved, your love for Jesus and others grows deeper and deeper. Folks, some will ask me, and some will ask you, prove to me that there is a Jesus, and He will save us. Folks, all you can do is tell them how you became saved, and how they can see a difference in your lifestyle. I had a person tell me once that their husband was a "rough Christian". I asked what she meant and she said, well, he loves Jesus but still curses and using his name in vain. Brothers and sisters, you just cannot say you are saved and curse His very name. It does not work that way. If you are saved, you, well, to put it the way I would understand it, you clean up your act. Do we who are saved still sin, oh yes, we still mess up, but if we are truly saved, we do our best to REPENT of those sins. And when you come to Jesus, that upsets Satan and he will want to come after you also.
While I am going to close now, and pray a sinners' prayer with you, this will only get you started if you are a new Christian, but otherwise if you are saved, use the prayer to confess and renew with Jesus.
Late news just coming in, those attacking Americans in foreign lands also just went after "Prince Harry" who is in the British Military. Pray for him, he is a target for those wanting to hurt Americans because British Military stand beside our military.
Let's pray.
Dear Father in Heaven, I confess I am a sinner and I want to be saved and go to heaven. Please forgive me of my sins, and know my heart, for I do love You and I want to repent and be saved. Protect us, dear Lord. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth, sharing your blessings and showing your love for Jesus by the way you carry yourself. Be blessed, I love ya. Pastor Dan.

Thursday 9/13/12 Deny Yourself!
Dear Father in Heaven, Please forgive us of our daily sins and let us dig into this message with Your blessings please. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Good evening, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Thursday and the day we pray for our families, schools, and all those who enter the schools. Also today, a special prayer request for Pastor Kevin and Donna Brown, as they do missionary work in Sierra Leone. If you want to read more about their mission and find out how really blessed we are, please check http://thebrownsinsierraleone.wordpress.com/. This will 100% touch your heart. After reading this in the morning, God led me to this message this evening.
Deny/Denying Yourself!
Matthew 16:24 - Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? (NIV)
Let me tell you a little bit about Pastor Kevin Brown. I met Pastor Kevin a lot of years ago, when I was heading up the Transportation Department at Central Dauphin School District, and Pastor Kevin came in and applied for a job driving school bus. He, along with his wife and family, had just moved to the area to pastor a small Baptist Church at 48th and Broadway Streets in the Lawnton area, just east of Harrisburg, PA, off of Derry Street. You see, Pastor Kevin's flock could not afford a salary that would include health insurance or as I recall even pay him a living wage to support his wife and family. I hired Pastor Kevin and he was a great bus driver, working his schedule around bus driving. Pastor Kevin is a born again believer, and I mention that because not all pastors are. Pastor Kevin helped me many a day s we would have prayer meetings in my office. (Yes, in an office, in a public school.) We called them "caring and sharing" meetings, and we prayed for a lot of people in that office and anointed a lot of people with oil. Why did I mention all of this? Well, you see, it fits the scripture that God pointed me to.
Matthew 16:24 - Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
Now remember I just told you that we are the disciples of today, and indeed, Pastor Kevin along with his wife Donna are true disciples of Jesus. But look here, Jesus said "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself." Let me tell you, when you want to preach and teach the Word of God so bad that you are working other jobs to support yourself and your family so to "get out the word" in my opinion you are denying yourself. And there is not one doubt in my mind that he is still doing that. You really need to go to that blog and read about the Browns.
But what about us? Must we really deny ourselves to follow Jesus? Folks, if we truly follow Jesus, if we are really born again believers, you have already made that change. I can tell you right now, when you became a Born Again Christian (and if you are not Born Again, you ARE NOT a Christian, PERIOD), your life changed, indeed, you gave up a lot of your old life and took on new things. And of course if you are doing as Jesus commanded us to do, take the word to all corners of the world, you are indeed carrying the cross. This is what Jesus is saying when He is quoted saying this ...
Matthew 16:25 - "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it."
You see, folks, this does not have anything to do with dying, it means we save our life as in being saved from sins. The life we lost was our old life by giving up our sins. In other words, we are a brand new person when we follow Jesus and our old life is gone. Now a question, asked by Jesus.
Matthew 16:26 - "What good will it be for a man if he gains the world, yet forfeits his soul? The man would be no good at all, he would be heading for Hell!
or What can a man give in exchange for his soul?" He can give only of himself to Jesus, for Jesus took care of the rest on Calvary. AMEN.
Dear Father in Heaven, please bless Pastor Kevin and Donna as they do your work in a far off land, please when this mission if over bring them home safe. And Lord, today we want to pick up our cross and follow You. Help us in doing just that, may we love on You and hold on tight to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings and talking to God and loving on Him as He loves on you. And speaking of love, I love ya. Pastor Dan.

Wednesday 9/12/12 Wars and Rumors of War!
Dear Father in Heaven ... Please forgive me of my sins, and please, Lord, help us all this day as we struggle today when hearing of more Americans killed in Libya. Dear Lord, we put our trust in You this day as we pray for peace, worldwide peace. Help me now, please, with this message You are laying on my heart. May it come from You, dear Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen. Oh, and Lord, I am sorry, I forgot to thank You for another beautiful day. Thanks, Lord, and for all that You provide for us. Amen.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Wednesday and today I ask all of you to really pray for peace, worldwide Peace. For once again, and on 9/11/12, our nation was hit, this time in Libya, by people who hate America, and most likely hate Christians. Also today I ask you to pray for my dear brother in Christ, Dave Fortney, as he stands with his family while his beloved earthly father has been placed in hospice care. Folks, as always in all things, please pray, "Thy Will Be Done." Dave and his family love Jesus which includes his loving parents. Thank you.
Wars and Rumors of War:
Matthew 24:4 - Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these things are the beginning of birth pains. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, when I turned in last evening, God had not yet given me a message for today, but He has been very clear to me on this subject of today. Maybe once again He is just trying to calm me down over the events of yesterday and what is going on today. Once again our nation came under attack yesterday and I am not talking about abortion and those other things I pointed out yesterday.
Today we had four Americans killed in Libya. One was our ambassador to Libya. I do not know the reason why, but I do know it was an attack on Americans by Muslim extremists. Why this happened is not what our Lord wants me to write about, and again I say, this has me upset, the events have me upset and I think He wants to bring out to me, and of course to you, that these things are going to happen.
When Jesus made this statement He was talking to His disciples and they were asking Him questions. The Bible tells us that His disciples came to Him privately and asked, "Tell us, when will this happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?" Of course the disciples were talking about when Jesus would be returning as He said He would. Let me remind you of where that is quoted in the Bible.
John 14:1 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled, Trust in God, trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am." (NIV)
So Jesus was addressing His disciples, and I want you to remember we are the disciples of today, and since Jesus is the same today, He is indeed addressing us in His words as quoted in our Bibles.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)
With that said, let's look at the way Jesus is addressing us. Let's break down the scripture of today.
Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you." Here we find Jesus giving us a warning to be careful that no one pulls one over on us. Now Jesus said: "For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ.' While some will stand and say they are the Christ, there will be a lot telling us that certain things are okay to do, they are indeed deceiving people and to prevent that we must be strong in Jesus and strong in His Word. Some pastors at some churches are not preaching the WHOLE TRUTH. Churches like the Unitarian Church seem to say it is whatever want, that is okay. For example, they support gay marriage, and support abortion. In other words if it feels good to you, then it is okay with them and God ... WRONG!
The truth is there are many times when a pastor speaking the complete truth, the complete truth, will have his flock sitting in their seats sweating and squirming. I know that for I have been in the pew when a pastor preached Hell so hot you could feel the heat. And yes, I have done the same thing, I have squirmed in my seat, and I have preached the heat. We just really need to be careful we are not deceived, even if it is not someone showing up saying they are Jesus. Let me tell you this, and then no one should deceive you and say they are Jesus. When Jesus comes back, we who are saved will meet Him in the sky. So if someone comes to you and tells you, I am the Christ, tell them they are not, but that you would be glad to tell them about the real Christ, and try and get that person to come to Jesus.
If we are living the way we are taught to live by Jesus we should all be trying to act like Him, we are to walk ion His light, but we are not Jesus and should never say or tell anyone we are, and if we get any praise at all from folks here on earth, TURN IT OVER TO JESUS.
Let's move on to the Wars and Rumors of Wars. Have you read the papers or watched the news lately? But this is not just happening now, it has been going on in the sand countries, as I call them, forever, since the beginning of time, or almost the beginning of time. Fighting has been there. Jesus tells us this.
"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom."
Well, gosh, it just seems to get worse all the time, but of course the news gets out faster and faster also. I would think that back during WW 1 and WW 2 people would think just like we do. And then all the other wars we were involved in. Jesus tells us we are not be alarmed. Same Jesus that tells us not to worry. There are many wars going on right now, and we are involved in a lot of them, think about it. Don't just think military wars, think about wars that happen because we Christians are trying to get out the Word of Jesus. Even this one, is it a war or not? The teachers' union striking against the school board in Chicago. Would you like to walk out in front of the strikers and tell them to get back to work, I mean while some people are out of work, they who work 180 to 190 days per year and are making $76,000 per year want more and more. Again, we are not to be concerned, for the end is yet to come. What should we do? WHAT MUST WE DO?
We must trust and have faith in God, and we need to speak out for Him and get the word out for Him, even, even, EVEN, if it puts us in danger!! Those going out and preaching around the world, those like Dan Stoner and his family flying into the back woods and telling about Jesus. Pastors like Benny Hinn, be you like him or not, speak the truth in some hard places. Even your very own pastor who speaks the truth, and is not afraid to tell it like it is according to the Bible could be in danger. And guys like Tim Beitzel who goes on the road and other gospel singers, they depend on Jesus to keep them safe. Dave, Duane, and Neil have been in some "hot places" over the years, God has opened doors for them and kept them safe EVEN IN RUSSIA! We must trust in God. Even I, who have been writing on this line for 15 years and put it out over the line, could come under attack. I, brothers and sisters, will stand firm. I pray for peace, and we pray for protection, and brothers and sisters, when you pray for worldwide peace you are indeed asking God the Father to send back Jesus.
So do not worry about those wars and rumors of wars, just go to work for God, be sure you have Him in your heart, and talk to Him a lot. In case you want to renew or come to Christ now so you are sure you are ready if He should return today ... Let's confess our love for Him as recorded in Romans 10-9/10 and you can read it for yourself today. Look it up on your own. Let's pray.
Dear Father in Heaven, today the news is filled with talk about wars, and rumors of wars, what will America do after several Americans were murdered. Lord Jesus, we put that into Your hands as we confess our sins to You. Yes, I am a sinner saved only by Your Grace, Jesus. And I believe in You with all my heart and soul. Save me, Lord, and let me work for You, not being afraid until You do return for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth and love on Jesus, tell others of Jesus and share those blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Tuesday 9/11/12 Remembering 9/11/2001
Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for waking me this day, and please forgive me of my sins, and hear the prayers of all that pray in faith to be forgiven. Also today, Lord, I pray we can look back and that You will help us to remember the events of eleven years ago when America was attacked. Help us this day, Lord, as we try our best to walk with You. In the name of Jesus, help us to repent. Amen.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Do you remember where you were eleven years ago when our nation came under attack from those who hate America? My American flag has been lowered to half staff and will remain there until tomorrow morning or maybe even the rest of the week.
This Tuesday we are going to put our nation, our police, firefighters, and military on the front burner for prayer. Let me get to the message. And please today, remember ...
Remembering: Looking back to 9/11/2001 and Looking at 9/11/2012.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
1 John 3:16 - This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (NIV)
I remember back eleven years and remember like most mornings I had Fox National News on the screen. I remember when the first plane hit one of the buildings in New York and called Dolores to come and watch the events. At that point it looked like a really bad accident. Then as we were watching police and firefighters running INTO the building, you could see on live TV the second plane coming in. At that point I said to Dolores "OUR COUNTRY IS UNDER ATTACK." We watched, as most people did, the events of the day. The plane hitting the Pentagon Building in Washington, DC. Then the plane that went down, forced down by passengers in Shenksville, PA.
As you look back to then, and then look at what is going on now, I want you to think about something. Do you remember how President George W. Bush stood strong through the events and how he led this nation? Do you remember the look on his face as he was reading to children in a school room when told of the event? How he pondered the events but did not "lose it" in front of the children. After a few days I remember his standing on a pile of rubble with his arm around a firefighter with the bullhorn saying "we will get whoever attacked our country."
Looking ahead to now, how our current president blames President Bush for all of this country's problems and keeps on blaming him even as I type this message.
Today I am going to say some very bold things, and I would love to hear from you about some of them, or all of them.
Question, has our nation been healed since the events of 9/11/2001? Well, no, for awhile we came together, we even came back to God, or a lot of people did. Churches were filled, yes, churches were filled. People turned to God. I can't help thinking how God might be saying, "so now you call on me." So I put down this scripture again, all of it, and I want you to really read it ...
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Did we do what this scripture tells us to do? Well, yes, most did, or at least for a little while. And I can remember cars on the road with the American flag on the windows and the label on the flag saying "Made in China." There are a few things that went on that day that are still going on today.
Firefighters were running into that burning building, and brothers and sisters, they still do that today. I want to thank "Robert Lee Coburn" for all the buildings he ran into as he fought fires and still fights them today, and also for being one of the firefighters who came and gathered me off the street the day of my cycle accident.
Police were running toward the building and helping, and not running away thinking of their lives. And during the next weeks more and more people signed up for our military to go and "catch the bad people." But did we do as the scripture tells us? "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Let me answer that again, we did for awhile, but how long?
Back on that day, and it was just bad, plain bad, all those people killed, and the next day there were about the same amount killed again and we did not hear a word about it, not one word. Then each and every work day since then the event happens again and again and again, people being killed and we do not think anything about it. Or most people don't. By now you know where I am going with this. As I look back on the events of 2001 there was no advertisement in the Yellow Pages of the phone book saying, "Learn to Fly" so we can teach you to fly a big jet into a big building, but there was and still is an ad in the Yellow Pages, and it is the very first ad, that calls for "abortion."
Have we humbled ourselves before God?? HELL, NO!!
Today we have people shooting each other on our streets in our cities and towns, murders in our cities and towns, drugs in our cities and towns, people killed each night across our land and we call it "brotherly love". Why, a city in Pennsylvania, that has some very unsafe areas is called the "city of brotherly love". Black on black crime is bad, just ask some of our senior citizens of color, and they will tell you. Turn on the news in Central Pennsylvania any morning and find out how many people were shot or robbed the night before and they do not all make the paper.
Have we humbled ourselves before God??? HELL, NO!!
We have car accidents happening each day, and while we all them accidents, most are caused by drivers failing to follow traffic rules, and not just those big rig drivers. Talking on the phone, speeding, driving while drunk, putting on makeup, cutting each other off, and yes, that road rage, and it is killing and hurting people each day across our nation.
We have people in this country who say they cannot feed their families, and brothers and sisters, we here at Carry The Light Ministries know of a lot of them, HOWEVER, we have people who come in for food who say they cannot feed their families who have a new cell phone, big screen TV, brand new tattoos, rings in their ears (a lot of them), rings in their lips, should I go on, but they cannot afford food for the family. We have people who will not get out of bed and even look for work, for they get those checks from the government. So I ask this question again ...
Have we humbled ourselves before God? And again I must say, no, we have not!
I want to thank today all those men and women of our military who have given to our nation, for indeed as their saying goes, "All gave some, and some gave all!" And I want to thank all others this day who work to keep us safe and free and who were willing as this scripture tells us.
1 John 3:16 - This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (NIV)
And today I ask you to address yourself and as you look back, also look at today and let's look at this scripture again, just one more time.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Now brothers and sisters, we cannot do it all, but we sure can get it started. Will you, WILL YOU, today, humble yourselves in prayer with me, right now, before God, and pray for our nation and all the evil that is going on today? Will you please join me at the feet of God ...
Dear Father in Heaven, I am sorry for the wicked ways of our nation, and yes, over the years I confess that in one way or another I have not always been where I should have been when it comes to sinning, for I am indeed a sinner only saved by the Grace of Jesus. I today humble myself before You and seek Your face and pray for our Nation for indeed we are failing, and Father, we cannot blame it on any one person, so please, Lord, I pray our folks stop trying to blame it on one another and look in the mirror and start there. Lord, the mess this nation is in is not the fault of President Bush, or President Obama, it is the fault of we sinners who have let it happen. Lord, help me stand tall for You, and lock arms across this nation, even if by email, and get this thing going. Our Nation needs to come back to You, Lord, and when we come fully back to You, Satan will need to move out. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Now go forth, sharing your blessings, and yes, you may share this, for today my heart is crying out for our nation, for we are indeed under attack each day, by Satan, and we are letting him get away with it. Jesus really loves us, and I love you also. Pastor Dan.

Monday 9/10/12 Do Good Stuff!
Dear Father in Heaven, I come to You today giving thanks for a great weekend and a great morning. I come to you also asking that You clean me of my daily sins and mess-ups and help me repent from them. I also ask Your hand of protection over this line and also Your hand of protection over America. As I look back 11 years, I remember what happened, and I pray others do also. I pray that You would be so kind as to give me a message about that tomorrow. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
When the sun in the morning peeks over the hill, and kisses the birds on my windowsill.
When the Son in our heaven peeks out on us, are we doing things that are good stuff?
Dear brothers and sisters, it is Monday and what a beautiful morning, while each day God makes, and He makes them all, and each day that we can spend on the green side of the grass is always beautiful, wow, today is really nice here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Monday and the day we pray for our leaders, all those in authority over us, National, State, and Local. It is also the day we pray for veterans, current military, police, firefighters, and all those who work hard to keep us safe and healthy. Please include your family doctor on this list.
Titus 3:1 - Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good. 2 To slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. (NIV)
Do Good Stuff! Brothers and sisters, throughout the Bible there are places that tell us to do good stuff. The Ten Commandments, the Two Great Commandments, we are to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. And we are to drive within the speed limit and not be texting on your phones while driving. What, Pastor Dan, are you trying to tell me that we are to drive within the speed limit is in the Bible, and that we are not to text while driving is in the Bible? Yes, I am telling you just that.
Follow me on this, all of you will agree that we are to DO GOOD STUFF, right? And doing good stuff goes a long way. Some things are simple, hold a door for the person behind you, help a person across the street, and this you might do while driving by not running over them. Buy someone some food if they are broke and hungry. But not speeding, or being on that cell phone while I am driving, tell me where it says that, Pastor Dan ... Folks, I just did ... Look at this again.
Titus 3:1 - Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good.
While I am sure you can see the do good stuff in that verse, but you say you don't see anything about those automotive laws. Let me see, it tells us to be subject to rulers and authorities and to be obedient. The rulers make the laws, and the authorities enforce them. Yes, that super trooper, the guy or girl with the big hat, is one of the authorities.
Titus 3:1 - Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers and to obey magistrates. (KJV)
There it is from the King James Version of the Bible. Obey Magistrates, and a magistrate is a police officer, and also they can be a district judge. You can be hauled in before a magistrate.
Now if speeding is a sin, and you say you are only going 10 mph over the limit, is the sin bigger if you are going 20 over the limit? I don't know if the sin is bigger, but the fine is bigger. Here is a list that I see often on the road, a list of "sins of the drivers." Failure to stop, full stop, at stop signs, failure to stop on red, before turning right on red, again a full stop. Sometimes the lack of a full stop could cause an accident and then that would be a fool stop. I see speeding and cutting people off and being on that cell phone and texting and running red lights and cutting people off and most of all failure to yield to Santa when he is on his sleigh (just kidding about that one).
Anyway, you can see we are to do good stuff, and we are to obey others, and if we truly love our neighbors, our brothers and sisters, we would not "pop" them the bird if they cut you off. It is not a good witness when you have your Christian cross or fish on the back of your car and then offer up the one finger salute or wave your fist at someone. Remember when you drive, and I could say drive to survive but that one is taken, so let me say, let's drive to please God (and our insurance person).
Dear Father in Heaven, we pray today for our veterans, and for our current military and for our leaders, and we ask that You help us to obey those over us and to do good stuff. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
I pray today all of you are born again believers and that you have Jesus in your heart. Not sure what I am talking about, call me. 717 991 0754. Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday 9/7/12 Denying God!
Dear Father in Heaven: Good morning, God, thanks for another night, and please, God, start us, start me fresh this morning, please clean me of my sins and sinful thinking and even the sins that I might not think of as sins, dear Lord. Help me, please, in all I do today and please walk with me, and yes, Lord, anyone else who prays this prayer. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and I pray that God will bless each and every one of you this day, and I have faith He will. Just so you know that all blessings do come from God, even if you receive them from others. And remember you do not need to forward anything to ten people and send something back to the sender to be blessed. May I suggest to all of you, if you are sending out something to receive from someone else and there are a lot of nice prayers, etc., to forward, but please go to the bottom and take off the disclaimer about how you will be blessed if you send out the "chain email".
Today is Friday, yes, SALVATION Friday, the day we pray for the unsaved, and also today we pray for those who work the fields of harvest for our Lord Jesus. Besides praying for your local pastors, please pray for all on the missionary field, all those who sing and preach the Gospel together, including our dear friends Tim Beitzel, Dave, Duane, and Neil, and the Men in Harmony, and Dan Stoner and is family who fly into Togo, West Africa. Also these others by name. Brian Clugston, serious dental work, for Dave Fortney and his family, his father is in the hospital, his mother struggles daily, pray also for his wife Joanne, and his sons, Arthur and Sean and his brother, whose name has slipped this old man's mind. Pray for God to wrap the family in His loving arms.
Dear Father in Heaven, please hear our daily prayers for Salvation of the unsaved and help we who are saved to work the fields of Harvest. Please, Lord, be with the workers in the fields, all of them, and please be with those we have named. Also, Lord, be with those who need the healing hand, including those who have been on our list before who need prayers and those listed today. Please hold Dave and his family tight this day. Lord, we pray for Your will in all things. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Denying God:
Titus 1:16 - They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, once again you need to know, I am back listening to God, and I know some of you will get upset with this message today, but God is telling me to write about it. As we all know, it is about time to elect a new president, but it is not about the election today and who you vote for, it is about all of those, both parties, and others who fit this writing that God is giving me as I type it.
I have watched with interest both of the party conventions, and I would like to ask this question, and you can quote me on this. "Do all politicians lie, or do all the liars become politicians?" But what upset me the most is that one party removed the word God from their platform and also anything about Jerusalem. In other words, they wanted nothing to do with God in their convention platform, or in what God is telling me, they "denied Him." Then they had a vote to put God back into the platform, after the press was telling the public, or voters. When the voice vote was taken, some voted yes, they wanted God in, they to me did not want to deny God, but others said no, and a loud NO. They were still denying God. Long story made a little shorter, after three votes, a lady told the chairmen to make a decision and he said the ones voting to put God back in won. Others booed the decision or they, in my opinion, denied God. That is not the sound I hear, more wanted God out than in. But folks, it did not end there, some would speak of the murder of the unborn, "my words, not theirs," they called it women's rights. Some spoke of gay marriages, that they should happen, and then some of the same people quoted scripture for other things. HOW CAN ONE DENY GOD IN ONE BREATH, AND THEN CALL ON HIM IN ANOTHER?
So let us look together at just this one scripture in Titus, and I pray you would read Titus Chapter One. This one verse, and let's look at just the first part of it. "They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him." "They claim to know God, BUT BY THEIR ACTIONS THEY DENY HIM."
"They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him." And the scripture goes on to tell us
"They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good." And brothers and sisters, this is not just happening at these conventions, or in the one party, it happens in both parties, but more so it even happens across the Nation, forget the world, and it even happens in some churches here in America. Remember this part again, "They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him." It is sad, folks. Last night a lady at the convention, a speaker, who is Catholic, tore her church up, and by her actions she was denying God. By the way, the Priest who closed the convention in prayer was great, and he did both conventions. Yes, he spoke out for God, while praying, his actions showed he loved God and did not deny Him.
Brothers and sisters, I want us all, and I am saying us all, to look ourselves over, and ask this quest6ion, do my actions tell others I am denying God while we stand up and give Him praise?
Folks, I was taught growing up that actions speak louder than words. Again, do our actions tell others that we are walking away from God while we stand up and praise Him? I am not judging the hearts of anyone at the conventions, I just don't understand how sometimes even in the same group of words, someone can quote scripture and deny God at about the same time. And if we deny God, if we deny our Lord Jesus, He is going to deny us entry to Heaven when we stand before Him on Judgment Day. WHERE DO YOU STAND? Do you tell others you love Jesus and a few minutes later you are damning Him by using His name in vain? Tell me, which is worse, someone who just denies God, like a non-believer, or one who claims to be a Christian but denies Jesus in their actions? We who are born again need to address ourselves and then go out and work those fields of harvest for God. But be sure when you are talking with others that you are not denying God by your actions, including your appearance.
Dear Father in Heaven, please bless the message You have given to me, and Lord of our Salvation, help us this day to come fully to You, and renew as we pray this prayer ... Dear Lord, save me, come into my heart to live, wake me to Your love, and help me bring others to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)
Romans 10:9/10 - That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (NIV)
Now go forth, standing for God in all you do and sharing His blessings that are given to you in abundance. I love Jesus and I love all of you. Please take this message to heart. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Thursday 9/7/12 Why Worry?
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us of our sins so we might start this day clean. Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner, and yes, Lord, there is not a doubt that I mess up daily, either in my actions or my thinking. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
Dear Jesus, please help me this day to write a message for You. Thanks, Jesus. I love You.
Good Thursday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Thursday and the day we pray for our schools and all who go through the doors, and for our families, and pray that our families come to Jesus and have Him head up the house. Please also pray for Cindy, kidney tumor, LaRoy, cancer, Michael, marriage, Beverly, depression, Matthew Lehman, depression, other problems, and again, for him to contact us. (We now know where he is, he just does not contact us.) For Burt and Patsy Emig, they need your loving prayers. Dan Stoner and family, flying for God. For politicians, to START TELLING THE TRUTH. Don't forget to send me praise reports, and also last names. Now to the message.
Why worry? Starting from Matthew in the words of our Lord Jesus:
Matthew 6:25 - "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, please read on your own, Matthew 6:25 to the beginning of chapter seven. This will help you understand the word of the Lord better, and also check up on me.
Brothers and sisters, God has pointed this one right out to me as I am going to do my best to listen to Him more and more. I don't know about you folks, but if you are like me, you tend to worry about a lot of things. We worry about the bills, we worry about is there enough food, and I worry about is there going to be enough for all the families who come to Carry The Light Ministries Food Pantry. We worry about family, our kids, and we have six of them, and well, it seems we are just worry warts.
I have talked about this before, I have preached on it, but again today God is pointing this right out to me. Yes, I listened to Him and I am sure today this is what He wants me to talk about. Worry, and I look at the scripture and find out that Jesus tells us "Do not worry." So how is He giving is to me today? I am having this planted on my mind by God. Do not worry, I got your back! "Do not worry, I have you covered." And this one, gosh, this one. Do not worry, have I ever walked away from you?
Wow, I must tell you that I like these, and He is firing them at me fast today. But wait a minute, this is not easy, and I do not want to tell any of you it is. It might be one of the hardest things that God tells us to do. It is hard to let go of things, and why, because we really care about things. I can tell you that I have been to the altar at church, took all of my worries and bundled them up and carried them forward in church, placed them at the feet of Jesus, prayed over, anointed with oil, and when finished, I bent right over and picked the pile right up with me. How many of you did just that?
God tells us we will not gain one hour of time in our life by worrying, but knowing how I feel if I did not worry, I might add a lot of hours to my life on earth.
I do worry about having enough food for the food pantry and the families who come in, and more and more are coming each week. But let me tell you this, we always gave out a "lot of food" to each family coming in, but lately we have been really increasing what we give to them, and the more we increase what we give, the more we get in. Now that, folks, is in the Bible, how when we give to the Lord and how we bless others in His name, more will be given back to us. So I need to stop worrying about the food for others for if it runs low, I am sure we will be taken care of my God, so we can take care of others in His name.
We, like a lot of you, also worry about our children, and you all know what we have been through with our one son, and each day we give him over to God. So we need to follow the words of Christ and just let Him handle it.
Don't get me wrong, folks, we must still have concern for others, but we need to have concern about things, but we need to just talk it over with God, then listen, and do what He wants, and it will be okay. How do I know it? "Jesus told me." Yes, read the scripture again, do it with me. "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?"
Jesus said: "Trust in God, and also in me."
Dear Father in Heaven, we need to trust in You for all things, we need to believe in You for all things, we do believe that You will save us in the end of our time on earth, and that is in the Bible, Lord, so help us to follow all things in the Bible. Lord, I believe each word in the Bible. In Jesus' name, I give praise for You saving us and also carrying the worries and burdens for us. Amen.
(NIV)
Now go forth, and stop your worrying, turn it over to God, and share your blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan. Need prayer, night or day, 717 991 0754, my personal cell phone number.

Wednesday 9/5/12 New Direction
Dear Father in Heaven, as I start this message today, I ask for Your help, and Lord, I ask that You forgive me of my daily sins and also hear those prayers for forgiveness from all who pray them. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Good, good morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a great day here at the home of Carry The Light Ministries. Today you will notice that my work on The Story has halted after just five days. Yesterday I sat down at the computer three times and I could not write a message, so I talked to God a lot.
Last week, I was trying to write "The Story" going from before the birth of Christ through to the Cross and beyond. I was doing this so as to set up a child's book for me to follow when I do Santa. In short, I was praying for messages, but was praying for what I wanted to write about and not what the Lord wanted me to write about. Brothers and sisters, I must get back to praying and listening to God and then doing what He tells me to do. Yesterday was a good example of Him just stopping me cold in my tracks ... Praying and listening for direction, gosh, sounds like I should practice what I have been preaching. So I have been praying and waiting and waiting and praying. God is telling me, we are going in a new direction on the line. I do not know what that might be, but I know I must take more time talking to God and planning the messages with Him. So each day as I write you might see different changes. I also need to put more prayers in the messages, not longer, just more, and I know that. I need to open the message and come clean with God, so you will see that is done, and I pray each day you will join me. I feel it is important for us to start out clean with Jesus daily, and again, since I think and feel this way, we all need to get that done for Jesus. I also need to do a better job at posting prayer requests, for there are times that when I get them, I don't always remember to put them down for prayer on the line.
Also, I need your help, PLEASE, furnish last names on prayer requests. Take today, I had a prayer request for a lady by first name, and we have at least 3 other ladies on the line with that same first name. If it is a sensitive matter and you just want a first name listed, I will honor that, but I need the full name. I know there are sensitive things. I would also like to know why we are praying for someone, like does he/she have cancer, or a bad heart, whatever. I do not think we should just post, "God knows what the problem is." Also, please, we must remember this, in all things, God's will is to be done. And yes, that is not just in my prayers, but what I am writing about. Also when God has touched you or the one whose name you sent in, let us know so I can post a praise report. WE REALLY NEED TO BE PRAISING GOD.
With that said, I am going to use this scripture from Proverbs:
Proverbs 18:13 - He who answers before listening - that is his folly and his shame. (NIV)
I need to get back in line. Today is healing day on the line, and we will pray for that, and I will try and get the names posted for tomorrow. Also starting with today, all daily messages are going to lead to salvation. Those of you who are saved understand why I must write it this way. Why, for some readers might not be saved, and we also have people forwarding my messages to friends and family, and it might be that on a day when someone's heart is open to receive the Lord. So let me wrap out with this by asking all of you to pray for me, and for God to keep using me on this line, and that a new direction is going to come forth from it. Thank you.
(NIV)
Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for another fine day, and thanks for letting us live again here on earth among our family and friends. Lord, it is healing day on the line, and forgive me, Lord, for I have failed to get the names posted today, so today, according to Your will I ask that Your healing hand goes out with the message, and You are healing those in need of that. And yes, Lord, help me, help me listen more for You and to talk more to You and then listen even more. Please, Lord, get me back on track. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Go forth now and share those blessings. I love Jesus, and Jesus loves us all, and I love you also.
Pastor Dan

Thank you.

Labor Day 2012
Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus ... Yes, it is Labor Day, and while I did not put together a message like normal, we on the ministry team along with some family members of some on the ministry team got together to have a cookout, and it went great. Prayer to start, then communion, then more prayer, then we grilled, and we had a pro on the grill. No, it was not me! Then we ate, talked, and talked and ate. Then after cleaning off tables and before we went our different ways, we packed food for the hungry, and then took down the tables and prayed some more and even did some singing. Now that, folks, is a labor of love for Jesus.
I never did understand if it was Labor Day, why people got off work, why not labor? And we should never not labor for Jesus ... Amen!!
Father in Heaven, thanks for a great day, and thanks for always having Your hand on us. Be with all that read this line. Touch them please, dear Lord, from the top of their heads to the tip of their toes. Please keep blessing Carry The Light Ministries and all we touch through those different parts of the ministry. Thanks, Lord, for family and friends, and thanks, Lord, for loving us, even when we mess up. I love you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
I will be back at it with a message tomorrow. Go now and share our blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday 8/31/12 The Story 5
Matthew 3:1 - In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the desert of Judea and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." (NIV)
Matthew 3:13 - Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?" (NIV)
Matthew 3:16 - As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. At that moment, heaven was opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting to Him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, who I love; with Him I am well pleased." (NIV)
Salvation Friday, and it is about all gone, my dear brothers and sisters, so we pray anyway. It seemed each day this week I had early morning appointments and then things just happened all day. Salvation Friday and the day we pray for all the unsaved, and also pray for those who are saved, and those going into the fields of harvest for Jesus, to help bring in the lost to be saved. Only Jesus can save your soul, but we must, we must get the folks that are unsaved to Jesus to be saved. Also I just received this list of prayer requests. These ar all new. Cindy who had her appendix removed and while doing that the doctors found a tumor on a kidney, so now more surgery is coming. For LaRoy, who has cancer, for Michael, marriage problems, and Beverly, depression.
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us of our sins, and Father, thanks again for today when we received some additional blessings for the food pantry. Lord, as we get more and more people coming to get food, we thank You for supplying the needs of the pantry. Father, please be with all those who are saved, and please help us all to bring in the lost to be saved. Hear our prayers from the list and heal according to Your will, and Lord, please, please touch the eye of Art again. Thanks, and praise this day, Lord. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
The Story (Day Five). Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is Near, REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS NEAR. Yes, that was John The Baptist, that folks say more than likely looked like I look, sort of rough and unshaved. John was the forerunner of Jesus, going throughout the land and telling them that Jesus The Savior was coming. Remember that John is only about six months older than Jesus. Now I would like all of you to put yourself in the sandals of John and tell me how you would feel if Jesus walked up to you and you were busy baptizing people, and pastors, think of this also, you are baptizing people, and up walks Jesus and He tells you to please baptize me. John did not want to do this, and said this as recorded in the book of Matthew.
Matthew 3:13 - Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?"
But Jesus wanted John to baptize Him, and so John after awhile agreed. What would you have done if you were John? Think about how you may or may not want to do that baptism. So again I say put yourself in John's sandals and see how you might feel. So you decide that you will baptize Jesus and then this amazing thing happens. Look, check this out ...
Matthew 3:16 - As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. At that moment, heaven was opened, and He saw the Spirit of God, descending like a dove and lighting to Him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, who I love; with Him I am well pleased.
Wow, the heavens opened and He saw the Spirit of God, and we, in John's sandals, were there to see it happen. Then we hear this voice and it tells us, "This is my Son, who I love, and with Him I am well pleased." So through the eyes of Jesus and John we see this event happening. I ask that you close your eyes and see if you can picture this event in the life of our loving Lord Jesus. And then I want you to ask yourself this, and I am asking myself also, by the way we are living right now, the way we act, the way we treat others, does our Heavenly Father look down onus and say "sons and daughters, you are my children and I love you, with you I am well pleased?" Well, let me answer for me, and you can all address yourselves.
Our Heavenly Father, looking down would call us sons and daughters, for we are his children! Yes, we are the children of God, made in His image. Also, He would be telling us He love us, because there is no doubt that God is Love. And we know that Jesus loves the little children. And now that last part ... With you I am well pleased! Again, I am addressing only me here. And I think this statement to me would be, yes, I am well pleased with you now, but not completely, for you can do better. My son (note the small s in son), I really do love you, and I have forgiven you of those sins, but DANIEL, yes, here, I think he would raise His voice a tad and say, DANIEL, you need to do a better job of repenting, forgiving and even in your daily walk. I think He would lovingly say, you, son, are doing well, but you really can do better.
So as I close out today, one thing I must do better is getting my message out in a timely fashion for all of you. And as I close out today, I am asking all of you this question. If you are doing good for God, how many of you think you could really do better? I would just love to hear from all of you but I know that you are busy, but maybe just some could write these words, "Yes, I can do better."
Do you remember the WWJD wrist bands? I do, in fact, a little guy named Sean Fortney gave me one when he was about in first grade, and I wore it for years and years, day and night, in the shower and out. Sean is six years into college now, and my wrist band wore out long ago, but it did last for years. Maybe we could get a bracelet made up that would be "YICDB" for "Yes, I can do better," and then get another WWJD bracelet and put it side by side or one on each arm. What do you think?
Go now and share those blessings and have a safe, healthy, and happy Labor Day, and remember Labor Day is a holiday, but there is no day off from working and living for Jesus. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
