March 2, 2011 No Worries 3

"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like on of those. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?"

Salvation Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday and what a beautiful day, still morning but I am late... I was at the dentist this morning. What a great way to lose weight! Yep, lightened my wallet right out! Please pray today for the unsaved and please pray the God will use you to lead in the lost. This morning I saw a sign along Walnut St just between Harrisburg and Penbrook. It made this statement. "You cannot be Catholic if you are Pro-Choice." Let me get bold here and make this statement, "You cannot be a Christian if you are Pro-Choice." Please don't try and tell me that you are in love with Jesus and you think it is ok to abort a BABY. A man in our area is in court today being charged with two counts of murder, you see he shot and killed his girlfriend and the baby she was carrying in her womb... Now answer me this, why is it murder when that happens or when an unborn is killed in a car crash, but a doctor can KILL THEM ALL DAY LONG AND IT IS LEGAL. Well, it might be legal in the eyes of our stupid laws, but it is not legal in the eyes of God, which makes it a sin... Please pray today for abortion to end. And please pray for Jesus to come back soon. I am ready!! Are you?? Until that time we have work to do for Jesus! Get cracking folks, get cracking.

The Big Trip 12-3 No Worries 3: Matthew 6:28 "- And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like on of those. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" (NIV)

Have you ever walked out through a field in the summer, one that has not been mowed down? Have you taken time to see all the pretty flowers that are just growing wild? Oh what beauty God gives to us. Some people will look at those flowers and call them weeds. Look at the yellow dandelions that we put down chemicals to kill each year. My dear late mamma would pick the young leaves and make a hot bacon dressing for a dandelion salad. Pop, once in a while, would make some wine out of the leaves. Anyway, the beauty of God's earth is best when untouched. Of course we mow our lawns, kill those weeds that are flowers in the woods and sometimes we even worry if our lawn does not look as good or better than our neighbor. Back in the days when Jesus walked the earth grass was used to make fires to heat the clay ovens. So what is this message telling me... Don't worry if I have the best of the best of clothes. I wore hand-me-downs and homemade clothes when I was a kid and wore socks that were darned in the heel. But to God we were/are beautiful, and he is not looking at our clothes. God wants us to look beautiful on the inside, he wants us to be clean.

Yesterday Dolores and I went to a shopping center to pick up something for her. I pushed her through Macys store (yes, when we go a place that requires a lot of walking, Dolores either uses a wheel chair or a donated scooter). Anyway we looked at some of the ladies things on the racks, really pretty, but did not get anything because she said, I have too much already. God sees the beauty like He makes the fields, He sees our inner beauty, our heart, our mind, our soul and checks on the beauty of that. And that last line in the scriptures of today,"O you of little faith?" Most of us lack the faith to not really worry about things, and not I used the word "Us" on that one. Folks, we need to pray about our faith and learn that if God takes care of the grass, and the flowers and the birds, He will surely look after us... AND SOMEONE SAID AMEN.

Dear Father in Heaven: Help us to have more faith, and help us to step out in faith to seek out the lost and bring them to You to be saved. Lord, thanks for another day of life, and Lord, thanks for a word from Pastor Phil today... In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Now go forth caring for others, sharing with others and having more and more faith in the Lord. Please look ahead after my closing to a message I got from Pastor Phil today. I did not ask Him if I could use it, I just know it is ok... Now share those blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Greetings from Pastor Phil Enloe:
"It seems like time is speeding up these days. Is it the same for you? It just reminds me that the FASTER time flies, the SOONER the return of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Have you stopped to think about how wonderful God is to have birthed you on planet earth in the last days of time? Just think of it, before we were born most things remained the same. Just check out history. But, within the reach of your lifetime here on earth, so many prophetic happens have, and are, coming to pass. I get excited when I think about 1 Corinthians 15 says, 'Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.' Then 1 Thessalonians 4 goes on to say, 'Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.'"
