Good Friday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and I just want to give you one final reminder about the picnic tomorrow at Willow Mill Park... It is a family picnic and if you come, and you for sure are welcome, you will get to meet a lot of our family, and some of our family from the Bridges and of course you who are on our Ministry prayer line who are also family. God has blessed us with one really big family. Please see my big write-up on the picnic at the end today... I tell about the food.

Today is Friday and today as we pray for the workers in the field, let us also pray for our Nation and pray for safety on the roads, on the rails and in the sky. Yes it is Independence Day weekend, with The Holiday falling on Sunday this year. Be careful out there for there will be a lot of nuts celebrating this holiday by have a 5th on the 3rd... and more...

Revelation 22:7 - "Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book." (NIV)

As I have told you all week, as we took a look at the Bible and our Constitution, man has not lived up to either. I for one do not think anyone will or can follow our constitution unless they are willing to confess their personal love for God and live for Him. Our land came from God as He made it all and our laws came from those that God gave to Moses that we call commandments. Our sins against God can be traced back to Adam and Eve and God has already taken the world to task for its sins as we saw in the days of Noah. And in the above scriptures Jesus Himself tells us that He is coming back for those of us who keep the words found in the Bible and more so in the book of Revelation.

Each time we sing that wonderful prayer that we call "God Bless America", and folks, it is a prayer -- each time we sing it, I sing it with all my heart but I also know that we are not worthy of one of God's blessings let alone all He does for us as a person and as a Nation. Again I want to tell you that the only way this Nation will do well is if we come back to God. I believe that with all my heart. Right now we have a president who seems to be a Muslim and while we must love all people we do not need to prop up their religion and put down ours. But folks, it is more than a religion, and if we want our Nation to be blessed we all need to humble to God. I used that scripture just yesterday.

I hurt each time I HEAR THE TRASH THAT COMES OUT OF THE MOUTH OF OUR VICE PRESIDENT and even our president who must curse and use that F word. Folks, we need to come back to Christ and we need to do it as a Nation but it must start with us. You know the one we see in the mirror in the morning, the one we shave and or put make up on (I do pray it is the men who shave and the ladies who put on the make up.) It must start with us, can we say it this way... IT MUST START WITH ME. Get on your knees and pray for our Nation, get on our knees and pray for this nation. May the prayer go something like this...

Dear Lord, forgive me, Lord, for I have sinned and am not worthy of the blessing You have given me, and given us as a Nation. Today I do ask that You forgive me and that You bless this Nation and may the blessings for the Nation start with our troops regardless of where they may be today. Lord, may the blessings extend to Washington DC, and for all those who do not humble to You and are bowing to others, may they lose in the next elections. Help us, Lord, to seek out people who will run our country based on the Bible and The Word You have given us, and Lord, may all of our Nation stand by our mother land which is Israel. Lord, we need to get back to the Bible, and Lord, it must start with me. So help me get cracking on this. More than I do now, help me go forward this day telling others we are indeed one nation under You and really have them look at it that way. May we teach our folks not to trash our nation. Lord, please stop the leak in the gulf and stop that oil from flowing. Lord, You are in charge of this Nation and I know that, and I know You have the power to plug the leak. Lord, I also know we are unworthy of even asking this request. I pray that those in the gulf area will start to humble to You. I would like to see prayer lines and not protest lines. I would like to see folks concerned about the wildlife and not their wallets, Lord. Humble Your people, Lord, and on this our Independence Day that some people think is just the 4th of July, let us really remember who gave us this land. You did, Lord, and You blessed it. Thanks for hearing me, Lord, and thanks for blessing me by forgiving me of my sins. And Lord, thanks for Blessing our Nation. I am sorry for how we have turned from You and I am going to work even harder this year for You. In the name of Jesus, I pray, and even promise that I will try and do better... Amen.

Now let's sing our way out today... and what else could we sing but this...

When the storm clouds gather, far across the sea, let us pledge allegiance to a land that's free.
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair, as we raise our voices in a solemn prayer...

Now I want to tempt you again... Yesterday I was cooking and had my cooking set up in the basement. I cooked the corn soup on the grill, after the corn fell through the grill I learned it needed to be in a pot (joke, folks). Anyway, two very large pots of turkey/chicken corn soup with some carrots and other stuff in it. And it is good. And then I made up the hamburger BBQ and with all my cooking it is the first time for this. We took some to a friend last night and they reported in and told me they lived through the night and it is safe to serve. Praise God for that one. Now beside side the soup and BBQ we will have meat ball sandwiches, hot dogs cooked in kraut, and again those famous Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse sticky buns. And I understand my cousin is making a cake... and this lady can bake. Lots of cold drinks and there will be no booze. This is a family picnic so please bring the family. If you did not call, it is ok, come anyway. We will not run out of food. Bring your lawn chair. Here are some directions to the park... Off of route 81, head toward Mechanicsburg, if you are coming south on 81 it would be a left turn, north on 81 it would be a right turn at the end of the ramps. Go then to the very first working traffic signal, there is a new one that is not working. At this traffic light you turn right... Willow Mill Park Road. Follow the road to the park entrance about a quarter mile... in other words it is about 2 minutes off of route 81. Get lost, call my cell phone 717 991 0754. Eating at noon, and the food will be left on. We have the pavilion from dawn to dusk.
