"Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the Kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen."
Happy President's Day and Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. May I start today by telling all of you that I love Jesus, believe in Him and what He did for us, I believe in the written word that is located in my Bible and I believe all of it. I also want you to know that I love each and every one of you. So may I send God's blessing to you this day and say this to you as I get rolling this morning... God gave us another beautiful day, forget the weather, forget the red sky this morning and the snow that is coming later today, the day is beautiful because God gave it to us. Let's use it for Him today. Monday and President's Day, and the day we pray for our President and all of our other leaders and their families, also for our military, past and present and their families, for our police and firefighters, EMTs and all others who work hard to keep us safe and healthy, and please add those Plow Truck drivers and trash collectors and their families to your prayers. Also Allison needs our prayers really, really bad. Also pray for those on our prayer list. I will list those I remember at the end of the message, plus the update on Allison.
Stanley Bingham, who is 85, a veteran, and one of our flock at The Bridges, drove to the food store the other day. He cleaned the snow from his truck which sets high the best he could. While at the store a gentlemen came and told him that if the snow blew off on the highway he might get a fine and then cleaned off the truck for him, again Stanley could not reach the roof. After clearing the snow the man informed Stanley that he was a Pennsylvania State Trooper. He was off duty and helping. We have good police, and I hate hearing them put down. I wish I knew who the trooper was, I would love to just thank him again.
The Journey 52: Matthew 6:9 - "Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. 10 Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the Kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen." (KJV)
Today we take a look at the line "And forgive us our debts." First let's look at the different words that are in the Lord's prayer instead of "debts". Most often we hear "trespasses" or "sins". I think for talking about it we need to use the word sins for that is really what we are asking God to do for us. Forgive us our sins, Lord, and clean us up again. Would you believe I knew some people who thought, and they were serious about it, that when they prayed for God to forgive their debts that they should then not need to pay their bills. Now while I have prayed often in my life for God to help me find a way to pay my bills, and He has done that folks, but that is not what it means in the Lord's prayer. There are a few things we need to know about these debts, trespasses, and sins being forgiven. One of the things we will address tomorrow, but for today let us look at repenting from those sins. Now while our Father in Heaven loves us very, very much and even sent Jesus to die for our sins, He is not happy when we do those same sins over and over again. WE NEED TO REPENT. We need to turn and walk away from those sins, and we need to do our very, very best to live day to day without sinning. I think we should all pick a day and carry a little note pad and each time we do something that could be called a sin, we write it down. While some of us think of all the commandments and say we did not break any today or yesterday, they are not the only sins. Let us just look at a few that might be ones we do often. How about traffic concerns, speeding, running that light when you could have stopped, sneaking through that stop sign without the full stop? Yes, brothers and sisters, when we break man's laws we are sinning against God. Oh, here is a good one, how about those taxes, are you paying them in full or cheating on them just a tad? Please give to Caesar what is due him, but not more, so take all the legal deductions. And how about your thinking? Oh yes, when you are thinking those thoughts that are not good, you are sinning. Example, men looking at the rear side of the ladies as they walk by and thinking, well thinking things that men think. And ladies, you watch those rear sides also, I have seen some doing it. And sometimes we set others up for the sin by the way we dress. If we want to help stop the sins of the world, we must start right in our own home with the one we see each day looking back at us in the mirror.
Yes, please, Lord, forgive us of our debts, our trespasses, our sins, but most of all help us to repent and try our very, very best to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and live without sins. And please, Lord, take a look at our other prayers today including all we listed and honor our prayer requests according to your will for us... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Go forth now sharing those blessings and repenting of those sins... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Prayer warriors, we need you! Last night was very bad. Allison started having something like a night terror during the first chemo infusion. She would lay there with her eyes closed and just start screaming. I mean a blood curdling scream. It was horrible to watch. The nurses thought it was a different reaction to the same drug that made her hallucinate the night before. They gave her Benadryl IV and that made her more lethargic but did nothing to the screaming. She could literally be heard on the entire unit. Then they gave her Ativan IV because they thought it would relax her. All that did was make her very difficult to manage as they are still flooding her with IV fluids and she has to get to the bathroom every 2 hours. It often times took 3 of us to get her to the bathroom, screaming the entire time. These screams are a blood curdling, horrible scream . I felt so helpless. This lasted from 10:00PM until 5:30AM when she was finally able to verbalize that her back was hurting. They gave her narcotic pain medicine IV and she has been asleep ever since. I cannot understand the meaning of last night. I prayed for her, I read scripture over her, I cried with her, I held her. It was the worst night of my life as a parent. To think that she must have been in pain the whole time but was too out of it to verbalize. I have an email out to the doctor. I do not want her to have that same drug again tonight. I don't think either one of us could take a repeat night like that. Pray for good decisions on the part of the doctor and that Allison will rebound from this and be able to tolerate the third and last treatment. The nurses told me they have seen hallucinations and confusion with this drug but never what Allison experienced last night. At one point there were 5 nurses in Allison's room. It was the longest night of my life as a parent. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors, pray for peace for Allison and pray that tonight goes well. I am scared for her. I do not understand why she had to suffer this setback and why to this extreme. Pray for Allison and her doctors and her caregivers. I don't know what else to do. Just Pray!!!!!
