Tuesday: Crippled

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful morning on this 3rd day of February in the year 2009 of your Lord Jesus. The snow missed, and warmer weather is on the way ... YES!!!

Today is Tuesday, and the day we pray for our schools ... yes, it is Schools day on this line.

Also today please pray for Jim Otto and his family. Jim is in the Pennsylvania National Guard, and they are leaving for Iraq. Jim is the son of my cousin Martha, a prayer warrior on this line. Also pray for her mother, Romaine Lehman, my last remaining aunt. Also please pray for Oliver Ogden, taken by ambulance to the hospital yesterday and waiting testing on his heart. Let's put Doctor Jesus to work again ... and again and again ... as we do daily. Please remember, folks, to send in those praise reports ...

Crippled: As we travel with Jesus, we see He is healing people again. Lets face it, folks, He is the main man, the master of all healing. He healed before He called His disciples, and while He was calling them, and of course after He called them, and even after He called us He keeps on healing.

I want you to look very closely to this healing, coming from Luke 5: 17: One day as He was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present from Him to heal the sick. 18 Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 10 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. 20 When Jesus saw their faith, He said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." (NIV)

Now, while this lesson teaches about faith and how we really must believe in our Lord, have faith in Him to enjoy all of the benefits that come with really knowing Jesus. Yes, benefits, my dear brothers and sisters ... benefits. In fact, Jesus is the biggest, greatest, and best benefit that you will ever receive, and it is free for the asking ... and no co-pay is really needed, but if you do share those blessings, they will be replaced over and over again.

Today I want to point out one thing here. This man, a paralytic, or a crippled man, was healed by Jesus, and I want you to notice what Jesus said. After Jesus saw their faith, Jesus said "Friend, your sins are forgiven." Brothers and sisters, I walk with a limp, my back has been rebuilt five times, I need new knees, I guess you could call me crippled ... No one really does that to my face, but you could say it. I am sure all of us at one time or another have referred to someone who had to struggle to walk as crippled. But crippled by sin.

Let me tell you that the pain that I carry today from the motorcycle crash of 19 years ago, is mild, to the pain of sin ... Sin of when you did not know Jesus and the sins piled one on top of the other ... Sins, and more sins. Brothers and sisters, your sins will cripple you more then accidents will, and will last longer if we don't go to Jesus. While I know that Jesus this day could and even might take away all of the pain in my back, legs and shoulders, He has already taken away the pain of my sins FOR I HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN ... and those who know me from the past, know I have been forgiven. I am using myself as an example folks, no I was not a bank robber, nor did I kill anyone, but the sins sure were killing me. Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, ask and the door will be open unto you. Have faith and believe and your sins will be thrown into the deep blue sea. I might walk with a limp, I might hurt, but folks, my sins are gone, and I am indeed heaven bound ... and you can be also. Tomorrow, on Salvation Wednesday, I will be writing about your path to heaven ... a plan of salvation ... for you.

Dear Father forgive me of my sins, forgive all on the line who ask, and Lord bless the line. Be with my cousin's son Jim and his family and dear Aunt Romaine. Lord, heal, in the name of Jesus, heal my dear brother in Christ, Oliver ... Lord, Thanks for all things. I love You, Lord ... Amen.

Go forth sharing your blessings, for God loves You today ... and will tomorrow ... and did yesterday ... share, brothers and sisters, share ... love ya, dan.
