Salvation Wednesday 6/1/16 A Few Promises

Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for all things. Thanks for the rain and sunshine all coming at once today, and thank You for the Sonshine that is always with us. Please help us to open the windows of our hearts so that the Sonshine can get in. Please, dear Lord, give strength to Marie Gamber and her family as Glenn has graduated into Heaven. God, thanks for Your Son Jesus and thank You, Jesus, for the blood You shed for each of us. And thanks for the Holy Ghost who has entered into my heart. Please place Your healing hand on Dolores and protect her from pain and also from falling. I love You, Jesus, and even though I am unworthy, I seek forgiveness of my sins and also my daily mess-ups. Please, Lord, please help me with the message and also help it get dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, I am so sorry that I am hit and miss on my writing. I have been talking to God about it. Please pray for my hands to work better and my attention span to get longer again. I want to talk to you a tad for the next few days about promises. Let me get started.

Salvation Wednesday: June 1, 2016: A Few Promises (Day One)

I think I could safely say that all of us have a few treasures, and some maybe more than others. It is funny we take our treasures, and some of us have safes at home, or we put them in the bank in their vault. And people who have worked hard for some of their treasures have had them stolen by people who work hard to steal from others. Growing up I watched my parents work hard. They were in the Iron and Steel business. Mamma would Iron and pop would steal. No, that is not true. My parents were both teachers. They had their treasures also. My pop had two five hundred dollar bank notes that he would keep in his drawer. Each summer he would need to post them for money and then work on buying them back. Teachers did not make much back then.

Lately we get phone calls from people trying to sell us a security system for our home. I tell them we have one, and they start trying to sell theirs. People are cutting phone lines so you cannot call the police they say. Then I tell them of Pastor Dan's security system. First I have The Big Three, The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Then I tell them I have my Bible with the solid Word of God. If they are still on the phone I tell them I have a double-barrel 12 gauge shotgun and four Rottweilers. By then they have hung up. The only lie, we have Yorkshires. Now let me tell you that if you really want to protect your treasures you will store them where they are safe and there is truly only one place for your treasures to be safe. That is in Heaven. No other place is 100% safe. Let me show you that in God's Holy Word. No thief can steal them.

Luke 12:34 - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (NIV)

Matthew 6:19 - "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (NIV)

So I ask you this day, do you have treasures here on earth? Think about that before you answer, for I think we all have some treasures. Here is the next question. Do you place any of them above our Lord Jesus? I am talking even family here, brothers and sisters. As much as I love my family and all of you, and I for sure love my dogs and cats, no one do I love more than Jesus. NO ONE!!!

This past Monday Dolores and I have been married 34 years and we have been in this earthly home for 30 years. And I am telling you it is so full of STUFF I don't know where to start when we say it is time to get rid of STUFF. We still have a few boxes we have not unpacked from when we moved in. Sometimes I think if someone came and stole it all, other than Dolores and our animals I would not miss anything, well, with the exception of my teeth.

Brothers and sisters, once you call on Jesus and put Him in your heart, no one, no one can take Him from you. Unless you throw Him out, He will be with you, and if you do throw Him out, He will be waiting for you to come back to Him. Have you seen the picture of Jesus standing at the door and knocking? Notice there is no handle on the outside. You must let Him in.

So I ask you again, what is your treasure, and where is your treasure today? I pray it is Jesus  and He is in your heart.

Please pray for our dear friends Wanda and Grant. Wanda's father has graduated to Heaven. He is now with his treasures.

Dear Father in Heaven: Please forgive us, forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. I love You, Jesus. I believe Jesus died for me and was risen from the dead. I want to be with Him someday, and until that day I want to work for Him. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.

Pastor Dan
