Salvation Wednesday 6/29/16 Not Ashamed!

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I praise Your Holy Name. Please forgive me of my sins and sinful thoughts that I might have, known or unknown to me. I do want You to know that I am not ashamed of You and I pray that I will always stand in defense of You to anyone who tries to put You down. Dear Lord, I really need Your help in dealing with my computers and I pray for that help now. Please protect all those who will be traveling over our Independence Day holiday. Please help tomorrow with the Bible-thon and help enough Bibles be purchased to send out. Dear Lord, help me get our order in, in the morning. Help is now needed to write the message and I would appreciate that help and with the dispatching of that message. In Jesus' Holy Name I give praise and ask my prayers. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters: Please keep us in your prayers. The upcoming holiday, Independence Day, seems to always be called "The 4th of July." The 4th of July is the date. This is the weekend where fireworks are sent skyward while people do not have enough to eat. Do I like to see the pretty things light up the sky? Yes! But what about those hungry people? Go figure!! Okay, Salvation Wednesday was yesterday, but the subject is the same today, "Not Ashamed."

Salvation Wednesday: June 29, 2016: Not Ashamed

Romans 1:16 - I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for the Salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. (NIV)

Are you ashamed of the gospel? Not me, I love the Good News which is what gospel means. It is that good news or the gospel we are to tell others about.  What is so neat is that this Salvation is for all of us, and be sure you see that WORD all who believes in our Lord Jesus and what happened at the Cross.

First for the Jews! Why should they be ahead of the rest of us? Please remember that our Savior Jesus Christ, the Messiah, was a Jew and remember they also must believe in Jesus to have that salvation. Today there are Jews who are Messianic, who remain Jewish but do believe that their Salvation will come through Jesus.

Next the Gentiles! This to me means all others. Some translations  refer to the Greeks because of the language spoken back then, but the Bible is very clear that Jesus came to save all of us and His love is for all of us. (See John 3:16/17.)

Believe! This is the key to victory over death. Jesus died on the Cross, and we must believe and confess (Romans 10:9/10.) It all comes to the "Cross" and what happened on that "Cross." You should remember that even as Jesus was dying, He granted salvation to one criminal and the other one condemned himself to Hell!!!

Your Choice: Up or down, Heaven or Hell. It happened on the cross. So I go back to the scripture.

Romans 1:16 - I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. (NIV)

Can you this day say, I am not ashamed of Jesus? I am for sure not ashamed and right now am willing to renew in Jesus. Will you join me this day by telling Jesus you are not ashamed? Let's do it!

Dear Father in Heaven: I want You to know that I am not ashamed of You, Father, nor Jesus Christ, nor The Holy Spirit. Today I want to renew in You, and Lord, some might be coming forth for the first time. Today I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus can save me and I call on You, Jesus, right now to do just that. Please, Lord, place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life so when I close my eyes for the last time on earth I will be with You, Jesus, in Heaven. Thanks for saving us, Jesus. Amen.

Please now go forth and serve Jesus by not being ashamed and spreading His Gospel to all you see. Love ya.

Should no one join me, still I will follow.
Should no one join me, still I will follow.

The world behind me, the CROSS before me.
The world behind me, the CROSS before me.
No turning back, no turning back.

Monday 6/27/16 Bowing Down

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I need You. Thanks for helping each day as we are going day by day and even minute by minute with You, and I know You have pulled us through some hard ones recently. Thanks, Lord, for being true to Your Word and never leaving us. Please help  me with a message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, most of you know I am a fan of NASCAR. Before races they have opening services that tell people to rise  and for the men to remove their hats. They start with prayer and in most cases they pray in the Name of Jesus. Sometimes they close by praying "In His Name I Pray." However, yesterday in California the announcer told people to rise and remove their hats then the pastor who prayed just started out, did not really address the prayer to anyone. He did pray for protection of the race and the drivers and crews; and also how this country welcomes in everyone and so on. Then he closed the prayer by saying in the name of the gods we pray to amen. Then the singer dong the National Anthem trying to put their style to it really butchered it up. What a disgrace to our God and The United States. Just another example of BOWING DOWN!

Monday, June 27, 2016: Bowing Down

As I start this message today, I want to tell you, "Don't Bow Down." One of the greatest examples in our Bible of people not bowing down was recorded in the Book of Daniel and involved King Nebuchadnezzar wanting Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to bow down before his god which was an image of gold. Please read this account and then at the end I will address it.

Daniel 3:8-26 New International Version (NIV)

8 - At this time some astrologers came forward and denounced the Jews. 9 They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, "May the king live forever! 10 Your Majesty has issued a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music must fall down and worship the image of gold, 11 and that whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace. 12 Bu there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon -- Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego -- who pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up."
13 Furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. So these men were brought before the king, 14 and Nebuchadnezzar said to them, "Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the image of gold I have set up? 15 Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?
16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, "King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it,and he will deliver us from Your Majesty's hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."
19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual 20 and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. 22 The king's command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, 23 and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace. 24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, "Weren't there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?" They replied, "Certainly, Your Majesty."
25 He said, "Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods."
26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, "Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!"
So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire.

Dear brothers and sisters, I am back. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego went down in the fire they had faith that God would protect them, and He did. Now I want to let you think about this. When Nebuchadnezzar looked in he saw "four men" dancing all around. I am thinking that maybe Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not even see God dancing with them, they just knew He would be there and take care of them. They refused to "Bow Down."

I bring this up for there are many times we might be requested to "bow down," but if we show Jesus in us, if the devil and his evil forces can see Jesus in us, the will flee. In other words, don't bow down to any evil. If we are giving in to sin, we are bowing down. Don't Bow Down, if sin is facing you, pray harder and harder, and call on God to protect you, don't bow down. The pastor at the races yesterday surely "bowed down." What about it, are you bowing down to sin? Please don't bow down. Remember, you are never alone, you have protection in God The Father, Jesus The Son, and The Holy Ghost. They are the best guards you can have. Don't Bow Down. Stand up, stand up for Jesus and let others see Him in you, and please Don't Bow Down. Remember we have a protector and you can call on Him and He will cover you with His Blood. Do you need better protection?

Now go forth and serve Jesus and Jesus alone, and did I say "Don't Bow Down." Love ya.

Friday 6/24/16 Romans 8:28

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I seek Your forgiveness of sins. Lord, I just want to praise you and praise You for hearing and answering prayers. Please help all those with daily struggles, and please be with those who are living in areas hit by storms and fires. Please watch over those working with the neighborhood gardens growing things to help the hungry. Please protect Janet in her travels. Please touch Don Coffin and help him, Lord. Thanks for helping me this week with health issues. Please, Lord, help me with a message and to get it dispatched. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, I just wanted to give you an update on why I am not writing daily. One reason is the room our computers are in does not have air conditioning and it gets really hot some days. I also have some health issues that most of you are aware of. So if you readers would keep Dolores and this old man in your prayers  it would be appreciated. We are indeed trying to serve God by working for Him in some way each day. Now let me get to the message God is giving me for today:

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. (KJV)

When I was first introduced to gospel music by Dolores back in 1981 or 1982, I can remember hearing a gospel song that started like this:

"All things work together for good for those who love the Lord." And that song stuck in my mind and heart and is still there today. If you know the tune you might go ahead and sing it or hum it today. However, in my early years I was listening to the music and not looking in the Bible to find out what all this means and what might need done.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, now there are times that things do not come together for good, even if you do love Him. Have you had that happen to you? I have had it happen to me. However, there are some reason that they did not. But I do want to tell you this, most have been worked out for the good, but sometimes we just think it should happen right when we pray. And then there are times He will bring things together for good when we did not pray. In other words, we need to be working for God all the time and even with that we will have some setbacks and I am sure all of you have had that happen. The older I am getting the more I appreciate all the little things that He works together for us for the good. When Dolores and I leave the house and come home from the food store it is a struggle to get things into the house. However, if we take our time and we pray, He has been working it all out for the good. God loves working things out for us, He really does. I hear some people that say, "All things work together for good," and more than likely might not even know that is in the Bible, or they might not use it.

It was not long ago when one of our loving animals was down, I thought she was going to die. We prayed and I called the animal veterinarian and she told me to trust her on this, and put a couple of drops of gasoline in their mouth. As fast as I could I got to my gas can and filled an eye dropper with gasoline and placed it in her mouth. In an instant this dear dog got up and ran around the house and ran and ran and ran. Then she fell over laying on her side. Dolores yelled at me, is she dead? And I replied, no, she just ran out of gas!!!

Okay, a made-up story to keep you reading, but over the years God has helped us with many of our pets, He has answered prayers for many a reader when we pray for their cat or dog on this line. And we know of His love for animals land we know that we are above animals. So as you sing the little tune, please remember to look at the rest of the scripture. Even when I write I cannot type it all out, so dust off the Bible and dig in. It really does help all of us understand it better.

God really does love us, and He has a beautiful place for us, that someday will reveal all those good works that are promised if we live according to His Word the best we can each day. And even after we are saved, we still need to pray daily for our sins to be forgiven, for indeed we are all sinners saved only by The Grace of God and The Blood of Jesus that was Shed on The Cross for all of us.

Maybe the song could go like this. All things work together for good for those who go to the Cross of Jesus to be saved. Amen.

Now, brothers and sisters, go forth serving Jesus and knowing He does work things out for good and have confidence knowing He will work for others as He does for you. You can tell everyone that you meet that. Amen. Love ya.

Sunday 6/19/16 Fathers' Day

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You! Please forgive me of my sins and thank You, Father in Heaven, for making man and woman so that someday there could be such a thing as Fathers' Day. Most of all as I wish others a Happy Fathers' Day, I want to praise and say to You, Happy Fathers' Day. Praise You, Father, for bringing the family we have been praying over each day back home safe. All honor and glory is Yours for this. Now, dear Lord, if You would please bless this earthly father a message on this day and also help me get it dispatched, I surely would appreciate it. In Jesus' Wonderful Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, for all of you dads on this line, may God truly bless your day.

Please accept our sincere thanks for covering a family that was traveling this past week. The families were in part our extended family including families from my former wife Karen and Sam Mummert. All honor and glory to God for this blessing of a safe outing.

Tomorrow is June 20th and the first day of summer. You will hear a lot of weather folks saying it is the longest day of the year. Are they right? On the first day of winter, December 21st, you will hear the weather people saying it is the shortest day of the year. Are they right? The answer to the question is NO!!! All days have 24 hours year round. Just thought you might want to know. Now for the message.

Sunday: June 19, 2016: Fathers' Day

On this Fathers' Day, I want to talk to you about Love. Love is something we all need to have. You saw above that I prayed for my former wife and her present family along with the children our marriage produced. The fact is Dolores and I truly love all of them and that is going back to Jesus and how He loves all of us enough even to give His life on the cross for us.

Galatians 5:22a - But the fruit of the Spirit is love. (NIV)

Joshua 24:15 - But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (NIV)

(Joshua publicly makes his commitment, hoping to elicit the same from Israel. - NIV footnote)

I am going to tell you right now that love can be a four letter word, but it also can be spelled with three letters, five letters and even six. Please follow me on this.

God (three letters), Jesus (five letters), Spirit (six letters).

Over the years I have pointed out in John 3:16 "For GOD so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son (Jesus) that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (NIV)

Today I used Galatians to point out the Spirit is love. Also I used Joshua to just point out about how we need to go public on our love for Jesus so that others might hear it from us and that will maybe encourage others to make that step of faith and become "Born Again." You have many choices on how to share God's love. Last Thursday Dolores and I stopped at a local Cracker Barrel Restaurant for breakfast. This was a late morning breakfast, and for our wedding anniversary which we had not celebrated.

Lots of people helped hold open doors for we were both really walking badly, and I use a walker all the time. After breakfast I had to go potty, and a paid staff person held the door open for me to go in. I thanked her! On coming out of the men's room a young lad, maybe often years of age, saw me coming and stepped back and held the door. I said to him, I need to wash my hands and dry them, and he waited and held the door. What a really nice young man, and I stopped going out and said to him, "someone taught you some good manners," to which he smiled and said "yes." I  told him good manners needed to be rewarded and reached in my pocket and gave him a five dollar bill. Then I smiled at him and said, "Smile, Jesus loves you, pass it on." Will he pass on the love of Jesus? I pray he will. I just did what God told me to do. "Love others."

How have you shown the love of Jesus lately? Please do it in some way everyday.

Now please go forth sharing the love of Jesus to all others. Love ya.

Saturday 6/11/16 A Few Promises 4

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, and I give You praise and glory for all things we have. Please forgive me of my sins and/or sinful thinking. Please protect those heading out on vacation this week with traveling mercies. Please, Lord, bless Leanne and Dino as the two became one yesterday. Please help me with the daily message and to get it dispatched. In the name of Jesus I give thanks and pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, I am going straight to the message today.

Saturday: June 11, 2016: A Few Promises (Day Four)

On Thursday afternoon I was out mowing the lawn with my little tractor, and when making a cut toward the street I noticed the fire truck down at the end of the street. I did not hear a siren and was concerned about what neighbor might be in trouble. Until I put my tractor away and got to my scooter the firefighters were coming up the street. These wonderful men and women had just made a rescue. It seems a family of ducks were being led to the creek when the little ones fell through the storm water grate and were trapped below away from their parents. Those men and women saved them all and put Donald, Daisy and Huey, Dewey, and Louie back together again. These men and women will rescue animals and will also run into burning buildings when others are coming out. Yes, they rescue all who they can, they are BRAVE AND WONDERFUL MEN AND WOMEN. Please pray for them daily.

Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking, HE RESCUES those who are humbly sorry for their sins. (TLB)

Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, some translations are more easy to understand, so I try and research those so all will understand. Today I want to just tell you that regardless of your sins, He will rescue you if you are humbly sorry for your sins. Also please note that He will rescue you over and over again, if you are humbly sorry for your sins. yes, even if it is the same sin. I have had to be RESCUED by God more than once for the same sin. I am thrilled He truly is a LOVING GOD, who through the Blood of Jesus shed on the cross will cover us with the blood more than once.

I want to mention this. Our Lord Jesus is The Greatest above all others period!!!

Yesterday I watched some of the service of boxing great Mohamed Ali. While Mohamed might have been the greatest boxer, only one man will ever in my eyes be the Greatest and that is The Lord Jesus Christ. Please someone shout out amen!! The same goes for those others with titles like king, or great. Richard Petty is referred to as the king of NASCAR. Babe Ruth was to be the greatest baseball player and I could go on and on but you get my point.

As Christians, followers of Jesus, we need to respect all people, and people of all religions, but we are not to bow down to anyone but Jesus, and we are to witness to all others. Tomorrow is Sunday, please go to church where the pastor or pastors teach and preach the real truth found in the Bible. Cannot get out to church like us? We watch services on television. We tune in to Jimmy Swaggart to watch his services and the music is great also.

Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 6/8/16 A Few Promises 3

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You! Please forgive me of any sins I may have done, known or unknown to me. I pray for traveling protections for a family heading on a big trip. Also, Lord, for those from St. Katherine Drexel that are traveling in Rome. Lord, I pray for the families of those lost in the mass shooting and also for those who were injured. Lord, please heal the four year-old with cancer. Please, dear Lord, protect Israel our homeland. Lord, I will need help as always with a message and sure will appreciate this on our Salvation Wednesday. Please also help me to get it dispatched so it might lead someone to You. In Jesus' Name I give praise and say thank You. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters. I do not have a name on the four year-old with cancer. I will try and get it. I think they are from Ohio. Also this year as I post prayers for those traveling I am not going to list names until people are safe back home. This is for security reasons. And it is Salvation Wednesday, and yes, everyday we should be working on Salvation. The mass shooting was in Israel which is our homeland.

Note, yesterday we attended the funeral service of Glenn Gamber. The church was packed and I want to thank Pastor Larry Hale for doing a wonderful service for the family which included an ALTAR call, and yes, there were people who came to Christ. Amen.

Salvation Wednesday: June 8, 2016: A Few Promises (Day Three)

James 5:13-16 - Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make a sick person well, the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. (NIV)

Jeremiah 30:17 - But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord. (NIV)

Let me address James. Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. How many of us pray when we are in trouble, but when we are going along pretty well we do not pray as we should? (Please note I said us, meaning me along with you.) I am guilty of this often, more often than I should be. How many of you when happy are singing out for Him? (Or making a joyful noise?) I love to sing but admit that I do not like it like I did at one time. I really enjoyed singing at the funeral yesterday. Great songs. "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder" and "In The Garden" Moving on. Is any one of you sick, you are to call on the elders of your church to anoint you with oil. Do you do that? Now we must remember the prayers must be offered up in faith and we must also remember that God heals according to His will land not ours. Sometimes this is hard to understand. The Bible also tells us we are to confess our sins to each other and this will help with the healing. I want to put a note in right here. We have Jesus to confess our sins to, and sadly today if you talk to others about your sins, you might have them used against you. We who have faith and believe have a direct line to Jesus, and once you are forgiven those sins are covered with the Blood of Jesus and are cleared.

How many times have you prayed for healing and were healed? How many times has God healed you and you did not even know you were sick? Think about that one for awhile. I am healed of cancer!! Praise God, Praise God! What has God healed in you? Some people think God does not heal, so let me add this. While a doctor can set a bone in place, who heals it so it grows back together? Yes, God does that. My dear friend Grant caught his hand in a saw, the doctor stitched it, but it is God who is causing the skin to heal. Please trust God in all you do. Also please remember you must do your part. And what is your part? For another day. So how does an old man share God on a windy day? Used my scooter and pulled trash cans off the street of those not at home. You can work for God each day and the very best way is letting your JESUS LIGHT SHINE.

Now go forth sharing Jesus, telling others of His saving grace. Again I do want to share this. You are welcome to share with others what I write. I do not add disclaimers like, if you send it to so many people and one back to me God will bless you. God is going to bless you regardless of what I tell you if you just stay with Him. He, not I, is in charge of blessings. Love ya.

Monday 6/6/16 A Few Promises 2

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Please forgive me of my sins. Please, Lord, be with each one on this line. Be with Judy who is going into the Marines and keep her safe, strong and in love with You. Thanks, Lord, for our veterans and for our current military. Please protect all those who are serving this country including all branches of the service, our police, firefighters and first responders. Lord, I pray that more and more people come to You, and I pray also that more and more people work Your fields of Harvest. Please, Lord, help  me to work for You each day in some way. Please help me now with the daily message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters. It has been a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. I must send for more "Read N Grow" children's Bibles as we are down to two in stock. I gave two away in a parking lot this morning. Also today we received our first of our "First Responders Bibles" which we will have in our car. They are the King James Expositors New Testament Bibles. Thanks to all who responded to my last message and thank you so much for your prayers. Now to the message.

Monday: June 6, 2016: A Few Promises (Day Two)

Malachi 3:6 - I the Lord do not change. (NIV)

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, if we truly love Jesus we will find out that He is the only one in our lives who does not change. Everyone else changes, everything else changes.

Last Sunday a group of people heading into their church noticed this man laying on the sidewalk just outside the church doors and this man looked bad. He looked like he did not have a bath for a month and smelled a little "gamey" and a tad like booze. People walking up the walk walked around him and went on into their big church. They all seemed excited for indeed this was the first day for a new pastor and they were excited to meet him. The choir came out and sang, and those in charge lit the candles, but the new pastor had not arrived. Talk started about traffic or did he get lost. The church lay leader was getting ready to preach when this man who was laying outside slowly walked up to the front of the church. He took off the blanket he had over him to protect him from the night air and walked up to the pulpit. In a loud voice he said, "GOOD MORNING, I am Pastor John Smith, and I am your new pastor. Let me get started. I see we have a lot of work to do at this church."

Brothers and sisters, I heard that story years ago, but let me tell you there are churches like that out there. If you are going to a church where that could happen I suggest you RUN and find another church.

Each morning as we get up we need to talk to God and know we are going to change some and know He is not. I pray that we all change for the better. How would you handle something like that story I just told you? Think about it. Years ago when Dolores and I traveled mostly by motorcycle, we often stopped at different churches along the way. I can remember how people would look at us as we walked in wearing leather jackets and carrying the helmets. Also some would get nervous as we would raise our hands in praise to the Lord or give a shout "AMEN" once in awhile. Tomorrow morning I want you to look in the mirror and tell the face looking back at you that "you love them." Why would I tell you that? Because God wants us to Love Him and He also wants us to love our neighbors as ourselves. So brothers and sisters, you can see it is okay to love yourself.

Dear Father in Heaven: You made us a promise that You will not change. Please help us to change for the better and grow in You each day. Thanks for helping us today. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Now go forth, changing for the better and sharing the love of Jesus along the way. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 6/1/16 A Few Promises

Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for all things. Thanks for the rain and sunshine all coming at once today, and thank You for the Sonshine that is always with us. Please help us to open the windows of our hearts so that the Sonshine can get in. Please, dear Lord, give strength to Marie Gamber and her family as Glenn has graduated into Heaven. God, thanks for Your Son Jesus and thank You, Jesus, for the blood You shed for each of us. And thanks for the Holy Ghost who has entered into my heart. Please place Your healing hand on Dolores and protect her from pain and also from falling. I love You, Jesus, and even though I am unworthy, I seek forgiveness of my sins and also my daily mess-ups. Please, Lord, please help me with the message and also help it get dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, I am so sorry that I am hit and miss on my writing. I have been talking to God about it. Please pray for my hands to work better and my attention span to get longer again. I want to talk to you a tad for the next few days about promises. Let me get started.

Salvation Wednesday: June 1, 2016: A Few Promises (Day One)

I think I could safely say that all of us have a few treasures, and some maybe more than others. It is funny we take our treasures, and some of us have safes at home, or we put them in the bank in their vault. And people who have worked hard for some of their treasures have had them stolen by people who work hard to steal from others. Growing up I watched my parents work hard. They were in the Iron and Steel business. Mamma would Iron and pop would steal. No, that is not true. My parents were both teachers. They had their treasures also. My pop had two five hundred dollar bank notes that he would keep in his drawer. Each summer he would need to post them for money and then work on buying them back. Teachers did not make much back then.

Lately we get phone calls from people trying to sell us a security system for our home. I tell them we have one, and they start trying to sell theirs. People are cutting phone lines so you cannot call the police they say. Then I tell them of Pastor Dan's security system. First I have The Big Three, The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Then I tell them I have my Bible with the solid Word of God. If they are still on the phone I tell them I have a double-barrel 12 gauge shotgun and four Rottweilers. By then they have hung up. The only lie, we have Yorkshires. Now let me tell you that if you really want to protect your treasures you will store them where they are safe and there is truly only one place for your treasures to be safe. That is in Heaven. No other place is 100% safe. Let me show you that in God's Holy Word. No thief can steal them.

Luke 12:34 - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (NIV)

Matthew 6:19 - "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (NIV)

So I ask you this day, do you have treasures here on earth? Think about that before you answer, for I think we all have some treasures. Here is the next question. Do you place any of them above our Lord Jesus? I am talking even family here, brothers and sisters. As much as I love my family and all of you, and I for sure love my dogs and cats, no one do I love more than Jesus. NO ONE!!!

This past Monday Dolores and I have been married 34 years and we have been in this earthly home for 30 years. And I am telling you it is so full of STUFF I don't know where to start when we say it is time to get rid of STUFF. We still have a few boxes we have not unpacked from when we moved in. Sometimes I think if someone came and stole it all, other than Dolores and our animals I would not miss anything, well, with the exception of my teeth.

Brothers and sisters, once you call on Jesus and put Him in your heart, no one, no one can take Him from you. Unless you throw Him out, He will be with you, and if you do throw Him out, He will be waiting for you to come back to Him. Have you seen the picture of Jesus standing at the door and knocking? Notice there is no handle on the outside. You must let Him in.

So I ask you again, what is your treasure, and where is your treasure today? I pray it is Jesus  and He is in your heart.

Please pray for our dear friends Wanda and Grant. Wanda's father has graduated to Heaven. He is now with his treasures.

Dear Father in Heaven: Please forgive us, forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. I love You, Jesus. I believe Jesus died for me and was risen from the dead. I want to be with Him someday, and until that day I want to work for Him. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.
