Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I seek forgiveness of my sins. Please help me with a message and to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, I want to talk to you today for just a little bit about Salvation and the one and only place you can find it. One lead scripture for today. Please keep me in your prayers to work more with God so I can get really back to writing. While you are praying for my brain, also pray for my hands and fingers. My fingers are getting really stiff until it is about all I can do to type. Let me get to the message.
Salvation Wednesday: May 25, 2016: Real Salvation
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (NIV)
Salvation, real Salvation, comes only from God The Father through Jesus His Son. The gift of salvation is a free gift and all you need to do to receive this free gift is believe that Jesus died on The Cross for us and was risen from the dead. You must also enter into a personal relationship with Jesus. This is a must to be saved, to be Born Again and have this free gift of Real Salvation. Please read Romans 10:9/10. It will tell you this.
I cannot provide this salvation for you, only direct you where to find it. It is a personal thing, a one-on-one experience between you and Jesus. Your pastor can guide you, but that is all, and that is a really big job that needs done. Pastors are needed, and I pray they are doing their job according to God's Holy Word found only in the Bible.
For those of you who are Catholic, the same thing goes. The Pope cannot save you, only lead you. Priests cannot save you, only lead you. And the earthly mother of Jesus, Mary, cannot save you, again, only Jesus can do this. Don't get me wrong here, God needs workers in the fields, for brothers and sisters, it is harvest time. We need to bring in that harvest and place it into the custody of Jesus so those lost folks can be saved. Brothers and sisters, a gift, a real gift, needs a giver and a receiver. What good is it if you get a gift for someone if you choose to throw it away? It is the same with the Gift Jesus gave us on The Cross. Some have accepted this gift, while others have just pitched it out. Some do not understand it, and that is where we need to be working really hard to get to those two groups. The ones who do not understand this gift and the ones who turned their backs on the gift, the real gift of Real Salvation.
Where do you stand on this gift today? If you are saved, are you just going to lay back and just do nothing or are you going to get out working to lead in the lost? Your choice. I hope you choose Jesus and to be saved and also to work for Him. Join me please.
Dear Father in Heaven. I love You and I know I am saved. I once was lost, and I have slipped and tripped and fallen so many times, but I love You and I appreciate what You did on the cross for all of us. Thanks for saving me. I am so unworthy. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Now go forth and share the love of Jesus. Love ya.

Friday 5/20/16 Repent 2
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins and help me, really help me to repent more and more each day as I address myself. Please, Lord, help me with the message today and please help me to get back writing daily for You. Please also help me to get this message dispatched. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters. I want to keep going today on the subject of Repentance. Of course repentance needs to start with the one we face each day in the mirror. We can surely help or try to help others to repent, but first we need to work on ourselves. Sometimes we, besides reaching out to God to help us to repent, need to reach out to dear friends who might know your subjects that you need to repent of, like gambling, smoking, drinking. (I am blessed not to have any of those in my daily walk.) So let me get moving on with the message, Repent 2.
Friday: May 20, 2016: Repent (Day Two)
Mark 1:14 - After John was put in prison Jesus went into Galilee proclaiming the good news of God. 15 "The time has come," He said, "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news." (NIV)
These instructions are what we need to go on today. It is another command of Jesus to all of us handed down from when Jesus walked this earth. I want you all to remember this scripture, which is one of my most loved.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever. (NIV)
Our instructions are clear, we are to repent first, and then take the Good News to all of creation. Repent and Believe, and we need to believe in that Good News as we take it out to all the corners of the world. Would you believe it that some pastors and others in some churches have distorted that Good News and in some cases those pastors might not even be "Born Again." The Good News we are to be spreading is about The Cross and how Jesus gave His life for us on that Old Rugged Cross. While no one can tell you when Jesus is coming back, we believers can and should be telling you this. Jesus IS COMING BACK. So when we tell someone to repent for the Kingdom of God is near, and they ask just how soon it might be, we can tell them this for sure. The Kingdom of God might happen to us before we even take our next breath of air. I am not saying that would be when Jesus will return but let's face it, some are called home each day. Yesterday a whole plane load was called at once. How many onboard might have been saved? I have no idea.
So let me line a few things up for you today the way I understand it. First of all Repent of your sins and confess yourself over to our Lord Jesus so that you are indeed ready for when Jesus comes back or you are called home. So if you have repented and are indeed "Born Again" now is the time to start telling others. Don't say tomorrow or next week, it is now. You know some things we can put off for a day or two. Let us say today it is nice but we were going to do the wash, and tomorrow mow the lawn. But is is to rain tomorrow, so put off the wash a day, even if it means wearing your undies two days, and go cut the lawn. (The grass clippings will not mind your dirty undies.) Tomorrow when it is raining, do the wash. However, please do not put off telling someone about the Good News of Jesus. All of us who are "Born Again" parents want to see all of our children, grandchildren, and even our great grandchildren saved and become "Born Again" so that is not something you put off. Tell your neighbors, even if they get upset with you, let them hear that Good News from you and even more so, let them see YOU LIVING WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.
When I look outside this beautiful morning I see God, I see God all around me. Trees in bloom, Pennsylvania white deer in our backyard. Nobodies cats waiting to be fed, hanging out near the feet of the deer. Deer standing on their hind legs reaching those fresh leaves on the trees. All this just looking out my window. God is good, and think about it, this is not the Good News that we are to be telling others. Just wait until we get to heaven. Just think about this, if nothing else. Now you go to church on Sunday or if like us we turn on Jimmy Swaggart on TV. After the service you have your Sunday dinner. Just think, in Heaven, you will be sitting with Jesus, looking around heaven and having dinner with The King of all kings, the Lord of all lords, and the one who saved us so that when this day comes we can be with Him, and He with us. Brothers and sisters, do you belong to the "Church of Jesus Christ?" Have you been washed in the Blood of Jesus? Are you washed whiter than new fallen snow?
If you do not get more than a few breaths of air here on earth, which way are you going when checking out? Up to Heaven or down to Hell? Once you shut your eyes for the last time, you can't make that choice. It needs made now. God the Father, our Heavenly Father, gave us this beautiful place to live for awhile. Our next stop is our forever home. God our Father in Heaven also gave us His Son Jesus to save us from our own dumb selves. He sent us Jesus, and Jesus died for us. Then Jesus, after being raised from the dead, went back to Heaven to be with His Father and our Father in Heaven. But He did not let us alone, He left us The Holy Ghost. Today I ask again, are you ready to repent and call upon the power of The Holy Ghost to enter into your heart and soul and then live your life for Jesus? It is not even going to be like the game of hide and seek, no one is going to all out ready or not here I come. That in a way is what I am doing right now. READY OR NOT, JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON. REPENT, FOR READY OR NOT JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON. Are you ready?
Dear Father, for those who might want to come to You now, I pray this sinners' prayer, and I am praying that in faith they will come to You. Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins. I do believe in You, Jesus, and I know You have indeed died for me and I also believe and have faith that God rose You, Jesus, from the dead. Save me, dear Lord, and please place my name in the "Lamb's Book of Life." In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, repent now and be saved, and go forth sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and know that He loves you and loves you enough to have died for you. I love you also and if need be, yes, I would give my life for you. Love ya.

Tuesday 5/17/16 Repent!!!
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for another beautiful and blessed day. Lord, I need to get back working for You. I have been slacking off I guess and not praying enough. Please help me with messages and then to get them out in a timely fashion. Please be with Grant and Wanda and comfort them and help them with their very busy schedule. Lord, please forgive me of my sins and help me to repent. In Jesus' Name, I sing praise to You and lift up my prayers. Amen.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ. I love you. I am sorry I seem to be hit and miss on writing. I want to keep writing but I have not been receiving messages from God as I did. I think I am letting pain overwhelm me and I need to be standing stronger with Jesus against this pain. So I am going to attack a new subject and ask for your prayers as I do this. My subject is "Repent." I believe I not only need to write about it but also look strongly at my own self and work harder on repenting and telling others why it needs to be done right now. So as I start on this subject I want to look at one from the Bible who was a front-runner for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and of course I am talking about John, as in John the Baptist. I more than likely fit his description best as I have always been on the wild side when it came to my looks. I pray all of you are doing okay. Yesterday I entered the third quarter of my life. Born in Harrisburg on May 16, 1941, I am 75 and in good health except for lots of pain from a motorcycle accident and arthritis all throughout my body. Anyway, let me get to the message.
Tuesday: May 17, 2016: Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is Near (Day One)
Luke 3:4 - As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him. 5 Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. 6 And all mankind will see God's salvation.'" 7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, "You brood of vipers!" Who warned you to flee from the wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father,' for I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."
Repent for the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus' return is near. This is not only what we should be doing but also what we should be telling others to do. REPENT for Jesus is coming back soon. In the scripture above in verse 9 it tells us that the ax is at the root of the tree, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut and tossed into a fire pit. In other words, it is time for we, we who call ourselves Christians, to start producing fruit. We need to be getting out God's word, telling others about Jesus, the Cross and Salvation. So where do we start? I have been addressing this over and over in my mind lately and it seems that God has not sent me messages. What I need to do and I suggest that we all do it, is go to a mirror and address our own selves. Before we can put out good fruit for the Lord we must have our roots dug into the scriptures so we can be setting examples. We need to be saved, I mean really saved, and we need to repent of our past sins and let them go. We do not want the ax to cut us down and toss us into the fire for indeed the fire that the Bible is talking about is the fire of Hell. So will you join me and start with yourself this day, looking deep into your soul, praying and talking to Jesus and getting a good blood bath and then getting ready to go on the road however you can and tell everyone to REPENT for our Lord Jesus will be returning soon? Yes, I am going to do this and I pray you will join me. Look deep into your mind and even try and look at what you might be thinking about. Look at how you are living. How is your lifestyle? Is it pleasing to God? Today I want to go back and pray once again a prayer of renewal and ask that you might join me. I will even say "please" before it is too late.
Repent for Jesus will be returning soon.
Dear Father in Heaven, I want to repent, really repent. I am tired of playing around. I want to get down to serious business. I know Jesus died on the cross for me and was risen from the dead, and I know I have been saved, but I need to start fresh. Please clean me up this day. Please help me to get out the word about Jesus. Please, Lord, help me. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
Now, brothers and sisters, go forth and serve Jesus and remember He is coming back, and I think it will be really soon. Let us get to work for Him. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 5/11/16 Pick Up Your Cross
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I seek Your forgiveness of my sins. Today I want to repent of my sins and pick up my cross and carry it. I want to learn more, even at my age, about carrying my own cross for You. Please help me with that lesson and please give me the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of this subject to be able to write about it. Then please after that help me to get it dispatched. Dear Lord, please be with Mary Hevel and her family as "Pete" has been called home. In Jesus' Name, I pray and give all praise, honor and glory this day. Also, Lord, on this day which we respectfully call Salvation Wednesday, help us to lead others to Your Cross, the Cross on Calvary to be saved by Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: A dear friend, former bus driver and also secretary in transportation left go of her husband "Pete" as he has had his homecoming to be with Jesus. Pete was a professional baseball player in his youth playing for the original Harrisburg Senators. I called him "Knuckleball Pete." Pete also pitched for the Harrisburg Firemen in the old city leagues. At that time I was their "batboy." Memories.
As we get older we do look back a lot, but I am also looking ahead and really wanting to know more and more about Jesus whom I love more and more. There are some subjects in the Bible I want to really learn more about. Today I want to talk a little more about picking up our own cross as we repent and move nearer to seeing Jesus face to face. Also remember it is Salvation Wednesday on this line and the day we work even harder to lead others to Jesus. So come on, pick up your cross and let's follow Jesus some more. Let us grow nearer and nearer to Him.
Salvation Wednesday: May 11, 2016: Pick Up Your Cross
Luke 9:23 - Then He said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, He must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, think about when Jesus was carrying His Cross up Calvary's hill, how heavy it must have been. Attached to that cross made of heavy wood were the sins of the world. And just knowing how heavy just my cross is on certain days I can't even think of how heavy that one was that Jesus was fetching up that hill.
To "Pick Up Your Cross" or for me to pick up my cross to follow Jesus I must do it daily. Not a hit and miss type of thing. What does it meant o pick up our cross and do it daily? It means we must deny ourselves of all things that are not good in the eyes of the Lord. It means we must repent and we must do it daily. Some days that cross might even be heavier than other days. To pick up our cross daily means we must have FULL AND COMPLETE DEDICATION TO AND FOR OUR LORD JESUS!!! Someone should be shouting Amen on this. On some days it seems harder to pick up the cross because Satan and his evil forces are coming after us stronger than normal.
To pick up our cross to follow Jesus means to lay down the sinful life we lead. And sometimes it is hard to not sin. What are you talking about, Pastor Dan? Well, Satan keeps tossing those temptations out in front of us. Think about it, folks. Think about some of the things that cause you to cross the line into sins. Each of us have different things that Satan might come after us with. For some it might be booze or smoking or drugs. Others it might be overeating, I mean really overeating. Are you telling us that overeating an be a sin? Yes, if it is harming your health. And men, you really need to be repenting when you head to the food store on a hot day. Low cuts and short skirts can even cause an old man to think younger thoughts.
How do we pick up our cross each day? First thing in the morning we need to go to our Lord Jesus in prayer and tell Him how we are gong to be needing Him to help us to carry this cross of ours. I am going to tell you right now, there is NO WAY you can carry this cross of ours without having the help of Jesus. So when we wake in the morning we need to give thanks for a good night's rest and then ask Jesus to help us carry our cross for Jesus.
It is hard to look at it like this but we must give up our first life before we can be born into our second life. We must let our old self and that self full of sin die off and then we get Jesus on board with us and we become "born again." Tomorrow and maybe the rest of this week, I want to take a look back at this, the front-runner for our Lord Jesus. His name of course was John, or as he became known to us as John The Baptist. He went ahead of Jesus telling people it was time to repent for the Kingdom of God was near. Now it is time for all of us to be telling others. "Repent" for the return of Jesus is near. Amen.
Dear Father in Heaven: Help us to get the message out. Help us to work for You, but only after clearing ourselves from sins and Jesus only You can clear us. Please do that for us. Help us as we walk each step for You each day. In Jesus' Name, I ask that You help us to carry our cross as Jesus carried our sins to His Cross and to His death for us. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth for Jesus and repent of your sins and pick up your cross and move onward. Love ya.

Love ya.

Friday 5/6/16 Mothers
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Father, I want to thank You for my dear mamma. Although I did not have her very long, I know she was a wonderful lady who loved You so very, very much. She tried to teach me to love You with all my heart, but Lord, I slipped so many times after You called her home. As I get older, Lord, I look back at her short life and am thankful to You for giving her to me. I loved my earthly father also, Lord, but my mamma was top shelf. Please help me now with a message and please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ: Today I want to talk to you about your parents, and most of all your mother. God made parents to love and raise us. However, He also gave us a commandment on how we should treat our parents. Let me get started.
Friday: May 6, 2016: Mothers
Exodus 20:12 - Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. (NIV) (The Fifth Commandment)
Proverbs 1:8 - Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. (NIV)
We have been blessed to have two fathers, Our Father in Heaven and our earthly father. But we were also blessed with an earthly mother. I called my mother mamma and I called my earthly father pop.
We all know or should know that our Lord Jesus had an earthly mother, and her name was Mary. But you need to understand this, she was never the mother of God. Mary was chosen to give birth to Jesus so He could grow up on earth and then be put to death on the cross to save us from our sins. In other words, Jesus was "born to die, so we might live." The Blessed Virgin Mary, as she is well known, was just one of many fine ladies who God found favor in here on earth. It started with Eve and also included the wives of Noah and their sons. So there we can see six very special ladies who were chosen by God to be mothers. Well, this lady named Sarah Margaret Kimmel and then Sarah Margaret Lehman was chosen by God to have me. Your mother was chosen by God to have you, and praise God your mother was like my mamma, pro-life.
When I look back on my life, I was raised pretty much by my mamma. Dad was a school teacher and for a long time taught in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, because he was a democrat and back in those days if you did not belong to the "Harvey Taylor" machine you could not get a job in the city. My mamma was a wonderful lady and a lady she was. In her last years of life she taught second grade in the Summit Street School in East Pennsboro School District. It might have been called the Enola School District back then, I forget. One day in the life of my mamma that I will never forget was a day in January back when I was in high school that I drove mamma to the green stamp store. Or at least we started out to go. Just before the entrance to the Mulberry Street Bridge and right on the last corner before crossing that bridge, which is in the news right now, while I was driving we were hit very hard, head-on by one very drunk driver. My mother died later that year from a tumor on her brain, caused by her hitting the windshield of the car.
Back in those days, my mamma was more than likely a lot like your mothers and they really taught us the things we needed to know. They trained us to go to the potty, they took us to Sunday School and Church, and they also made a lot of our clothes. And they taught us words we could say and those we'd better not say. And if you broke the rules on what not to say, you had a dinner of soap. Mamma made soap back in those days and it was called lye soap. I thought it was lie soap used on me when I lied. Mamma would work really hard, all week she taught school and she also took in washing and ironing to help pay the bills. She afforded herself only one small thing. Each week she had this wonderful lady, Mary Fields, who would come and help her clean the house. Mary was a real lady and she and mamma would sing and sing as they cleaned. They would sing old hymns of the church and some negro Spirituals. Oh, how these two beautiful ladies loved Jesus and loved each other. Mary was like one of the family to me. On the evening of my mamma's viewing, Mary came to the funeral home. She put her arms around me and hugged my neck and in her voice broken and crying, she told me she was the best lady she ever knew. To this day I miss my mamma.
Brothers and sisters, Jesus is special to us, and He should be above all others in our lives. But mammas are special also, and if you are still blessed to have yours, please remember all the good things she taught you, and please, if she messed up, forgive her for that and just love her. If you are like me and your mamma is home with Jesus, hang onto the memories and keep on honoring her. Please note in the Commandment that tells us to "honor our father and mother," it does not say to stop honoring them if they pass on to Jesus. This Sunday is Mothers' Day and if you are blessed to have your mother, call her, talk to her. Take her out to dinner. If like me, your mamma is with Jesus, take time to reflect back and remember she helped to make you what you are today. I love Jesus, and I still to this day love my mamma.
Dear Father in Heaven: I miss my mamma and someday we will be united again. Please help me to keep on honoring her and also my pop by living a life pleasing to You, Father. For if I live to please You, my mamma would be pleased also. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth sharing Jesus and also honoring your mother and remembering what she taught you. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 5/4/16 Salvation
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Thanks for all the rain. It sure is appreciated. Dear Lord, I want to appreciate all things that You do for us. Please help me be more appreciative to you and also everyone that I have dealings with here on earth. I thank You for the message this day and I ask that You help me on this our Salvation Wednesday to put a message out that comes directly from You through the power of the Holy Spirit. Then, Lord, I pray You will help me get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, as you are aware, we on this line refer to Wednesdays as Salvation Wednesday. That does not mean we should not be thinking about Salvation the other six days of each week. So today I do want to talk to all of you about Salvation and who gives it to us and when and where did He give it to us. I pray all of you are doing well. So let me have at it.
Salvation Wednesday: May 4, 2016: Salvation
Acts 4:11 - He is "'The stone you builders rejected which has become the capstone.'" (NIV)
Have you ever in your life felt unwanted? Maybe at work, you have done a great job but nobody gives you a pat on the back and tells you well done, I really appreciate it. Yes, that gets to us, as we all like to be told when we do a good job. I mean, after all, we get told about it if we mess up. Well, brothers and sisters, the best of the very best, our Lord and Savior, was rejected among men. He was according to the Bible a stone that builders even rejected. Jesus was not good enough for a lot of people when He walked the earth, still when He was on the cross and dying, He forgave all those who were working at killing Him. So on those days you feel rejected or not appreciated, smile and sing out, for you are indeed in good company. You are in the company of not a king but The King, King Jesus. Amen.
Acts 4:12 - Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (NIV)
Here I want to bring out that only Jesus and through His Blood shed on Calvary to save us, can really save us. No church leader, not your pastor or priest, not any elder of the church can save you. Although if you are attending a good church, those church leaders should be pointing you in the right direction to be saved. Don't worship your church leaders, worship Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone. Amen.
Matthew 1:21 - She will give birth to a Son and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, again I point this scripture to you and tell you that Jesus is not one way among many or other ways to get into Heaven. "Jesus is the only way." Please do not be fooled. And you must believe and you must really try and repent of your sins, not just talk about it. Some of our sins are hard to put away, really hard. Think about your life, you might have some sins that you are having a real problem repenting from. The more that happens the more you need to be in prayer with God the Father, and again that goes through Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (NIV)
Again, and this confirms and works hand in hand with Acts 4:12 that I used above. Jesus, I said Jesus, is the one and only way to get into heaven. There are no substitutes. None, zero, zip. NO OTHER WAY BUT JESUS. You can have others lead you, as I am trying to do this day, and you might be leading others, but make no doubt about it, Jesus is the one and only one who can forgive your sins and save you from HELL, PERIOD. Will you come to Jesus today, or at least renew with me this day?
Dear Father in Heaven, I come to You right now, coming in the name of Jesus asking You to save me. I believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord and that He died on the cross for me and to save me of my sins. Today I confess that with my mouth. I also believe that Jesus was risen from the dead and today sits with God the Father to judge us when we arrive at the gate. Please, dear Lord, write my name this day in the Lamb's Book of Life. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and tell others of this great thing called SALVATION. Keep loving Jesus and yes, I love ya.
