Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very, very much. Please forgive me of my sins, and thank You for watching over this line, over families, and also all of our friends. Thanks for being with those we have been praying for, Lord. Please, Lord, help us to repent, help me to repent of my sinful ways and walk stronger and stronger in You each day. Dear Lord, on this day we call Salvation Wednesday on this line, help us to reach out to others and help them to get to your feet to be saved. Help me to teach them the way, help me to follow Your commands and go to the fields of harvest and help bring in the harvest. Dear Lord, help me now with the message and then to get it in the hands of those who need that message. In Jesus' Name, I pray and give thanks. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, it is Wednesday and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line and the day we work even harder to lead people to the Lord to be saved. How about I get right to the message today? Let's go.
Salvation Wednesday: January 14, 2015: He's Coming Back (Day Two)
Matthew 3:13 - Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?" 15 Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented. 16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. At that moment Heaven was opened, and He saw the Spirit of God, descending like a dove and lighting on Him. 17 And a voice from Heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased." (NIV)
I love these scriptures where Jesus is baptized by John, and this again is an example to us about being baptized. One thing I do want to bring out right here and now is that one does not need to be baptized to get into Heaven. Being baptized is an outward expression of an inward feeling. I love what happened after Jesus was baptized by John. The Heavens opened up and He saw the Spirit of God descending down on Jesus like a Dove and lighting on Him. Then God tells His Son Jesus, "This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased." Dads, and moms also, if we would take time once in awhile to put our arms around our kids and tell them, THIS IS MY SON, OR THIS IS MY DAUGHTER, WHOM I LOVE and with them I am well pleased, I think it would go a long way in showing our children just how much we love them. What do you think about that?
On this Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday on this line, I think it would be great if we would just spend some time telling others that are in our lives that we love them. In this scripture we find that God, who sent His One and Only Son to die for us, was telling Him just how much He was loved, and that He was also very pleased with Him. How long has it been since you have told your children that you loved them? I think it is something we can't do often enough. But more so other than just telling them that we love them, we need to express it in other ways. Growing up in Harrisburg, PA, I was never good enough to make the Little League baseball team, I never made it once. My dad never put me down for that, he told me that I was doing okay, for I had paper routes and would not have been able to make team practice anyway. Also, I played the trombone and baritone in the school band. I played third trombone, meaning I was not very good at it, but mom and dad cheered me on anyway. When I would play in church, I was so bad that God said it did not even sound like a joyful noise, yet my parents were still proud of me. All of us need to take a lesson from Matthew 3:17, we need to take a lesson from God, well, we should take lots of lessons from God. We should show our love to our children and also to others as God showed His love for His One and Only Son and others also, others like you and me.
There are many times we need to discipline our children, but that should not stop us from putting our arms around them and telling them, regardless of what you have done, I still love you. Think about it, brothers and sisters, it does not make a difference what our sins have been, our Lord Jesus still loved us, loves us, and will love us enough to forgive us, and He died to do that. So as we learn from our scriptures each day, let us take a lesson from today's and tell those we love that we really do love them.
Now, as promised, each day we go out giving each person a time to come to the Lord to be saved or to just renew in Him. Now is that time. So I ask you this day, do you love Jesus with all your heart? Let's go to Him and ask Him to give us a blood bath.
Dear Father in Heaven. Please forgive me of my sins. Please wash me in the blood of Jesus that was shed for me on Calvary's Hill. Please wash me clean, and Jesus, I do believe that You died for me on the cross and that on the third day You were risen from the dead. I believe that in my heart and confess it with my mouth according to the scriptures in Romans 10:9/10. Please place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please pass on my love to others.
