Dear Father in Heaven, We give You all honor and glory and praise this day for the new life in the Crockett family. We give thanks for this perfect baby boy and pray he grows up strong in You. Thanks for all the food we have been bringing in, and also for the toys. Lord, please bless us again with help on Saturday. Dear Heavenly Father, thanks for another day on this earth, and we give You all honor and glory for all things. Please keep Your hands upon those on our prayer list and watch over them, healing cancers, heart problems, and surgeries. We pray that Beth will heal from her surgery of delivery. Lord, please watch over our leaders in Washington and all the State houses. Lord, I pray that our president will humble to You in all things, and we pray first for His soul and that of his family. I then pray he will bring all things to You before they go to the public. I pray he will seek answers from You. Lord, I pray today for our veterans and all of our current military, also our state and local police and sheriffs. Lord, please keep all these folks safe. I pray also for our firefighters and those who work the medical fields on the road and in the air. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Good early morning blessings, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a very busy time here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. The news people never did show up on Wednesday evening. We will try for another station for Friday evening. Please forgive me as I try and catch up with my daily writing. I am tired, if I was a car I would be running low on fuel. And while the car can get gas, I lost my Twinkies, hey, but like a car, I can still "get gas" and like a car, we both have exhaust. I better let it at that and get to the message ...
The Story (Day 7)
Luke 1:57 - When it was time for Elizabeth to have her baby, she gave birth to a son. 58 Her neighbors and relations heard that the Lord had shown her great mercy, and they shared her joy. 59 On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to name him after his father Zechariah. 60 But his mother spoke up and said, "No! He is to be called John." 61 They said to her, "There is no one among your relatives who has that name." 62 Then they made signs to his father, to find out what he would like to name the child. 63 "He asked for a writing tablet, and to everyone's astonishment he wrote, "His name is John." 64 Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue was loosed, and he began to speak, praising God. (NIV)
This story is really neat as the forerunner for Jesus is being born. You will recall that when the Angel of the Lord first came to Zechariah, Zechariah questioned the angel about how this could happen since he was old and so was his wife. For questioning the angel and not just walking in faith at first, the angel took away the voice of Zechariah and for the whole time Elizabeth was with child, old Zech could not speak. When the son was born and he was named John, the Lord cleared the voice of Zechariah and he could once again speak. "How about that?" I can hear some of you ladies now, gosh, I would have another child, if I could my husband's mouth shut for nine months.
I think one of the neatest things about the story of the birth of John, who became John The Baptist to us, was how Elizabeth's relations and their neighbors all rejoiced in this child that was sent from God and given to Elizabeth even at her old age. If something like this happened today, what would the neighbors and relations do? I mean, think about it, you find out a couple in your neighborhood nearing a hundred would come and tell you that they were going to have a child, how would we handle that? Would it go like this, you gather at the back fence, or at the mailbox and say things like this ... "You know that old lady up the street, did you know she is having a baby?" A joke would be made for sure and that would be the neighbors. The relations would come on even stronger. Jokes like if Zechariah could even do what he had to do to make the baby. Please, folks, before you ever question, remember the Lord is still in charge and in control. We need to take a lesson from that each day. Some days are harder than others, but with God in control, all will be well according to His plans and His will for all of us. As we thank God today for John, for this little forerunner for Jesus, we thank God again for a new family member of one of our ministry team, in the grandchild of Grant and Wanda. Again I must tell you that Jesus is still the same, and we just need to pray and roll out what God wants for us and walk with God as He takes us through each and every day. Let's pray.
Dear Father in Heaven, as we give You all honor and glory for this day, we pray that Your will will be done in all things, we pray that babies in the wombs of mothers will be permitted to live for this little life could grow up to be another preacher or singer or even president of the United States. Thy will be done today and forever. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share those blessings, and remember we could use a few able folks on Saturday to pack out nearly 500 bags of food. I will have a pot of hot dogs on for those of you who love hot dogs as I do. Go now for the Lord, going in peace and may the God of Peace go with you ...
Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Tuesday 11/27/12 The Story 6
Dear Heavenly Father, Thanks for another great day, and thanks for watching over us this day. Please, Lord, forgive me of my sins and help me repent and walk away from sin. Thanks for the rain/snow today and the water to the ground that it provided. Thanks for the food that came into the food pantry today. Help us now to walk with You and talk with You and listen to You and honor You by working for You in Your Fields of Harvest. Be with all those on our prayer list. Please watch over Beth as she is to deliver their baby tomorrow, please bless this young family with a happy, healthy child. Along with this new one, please bless Emily and Curtis and the rest of the family. Lord, watch over Burt, Patsy, Barbara, Vicki, Dolores, Ruth, Ruby, Matthew, Grant, Wanda, Dick, Nicki, Pam, Donna, Beverly, and also please touch my right knee. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Good evening, my dear brothers and sisters. Tomorrow, Wednesday, ABC 27 News is to be doing an article on Santa's House. I will believe it when they arrive. Please keep praying for all those on our prayer list. Please pray for our son Matthew. Dolores and I went to the hospital to see him on Sunday (he did not want this). Anyway, he is in really bad shape. Matthew has a drug addiction problem and really needs the prayers, he is also bipolar, and the two things just do not mix. There are others on the line with the same type problems, please pray for those who are addicted to drugs and/or booze.
The Story (Day 6)
Matthew 1:18 - This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. 20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name of Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins." 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel which means, "God with us." 24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son. And he gave him the name Jesus. (NIV)
Let me talk to you about the angel once again and about Joseph. I used some of the same scripture again today, but added two new verses that are in dark print. The scripture talks about how the Angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and how the Angel told Joseph what to expect, and about Mary who he was soon to marry being with this special child and how it will be the Savior of the World. The Angel told Joseph to call this Child Immanuel, which means "God with us." But you will recall that the Angel also told Mary, who we lovingly call the Virgin Mary, that the Child should be called Jesus. In the past I have written about the different names of our Lord Jesus and here we find out about two of them.
You will recall also how Mary told the Angel of the Lord that she would do as expected as she was a servant of God, and now we find out that Joseph is saying about the same things. In Luke 1:24 you find Joseph doing what the angel told him to do. Joseph did what the Angel of the Lord commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. Okay, men (well, ladies also), here we have Joseph being married to this young girl, and he took her home as his wife, but the Bible said he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son. Wow, think of it, this was the honeymoon and Joseph did not have union with Mary for about nine months. Now I know some of you are thinking, only Pastor Dan would think about that. No, no, a lot of folks would think about it, I am just talking about it. God is so good, and this young lady and her husband wanted to do it right according to our Lord God, and they did. When God the Father lines things up to be done, He picks the right people. I know of many others who have been called on by our Lord Jesus to preach, teach, and work the fields of Harvest for God and have done a great job, and yes, I know of some who have been called on to work for our Lord Jesus and have slipped and fallen a few times, but folks, I get back up and get back to the Lord. Remember all of us who are called on by the Lord to work the fields of Harvest are indeed sinners, just saved by that Grace of the Lord ... Amen.
Dear Lord, thanks for trusting me, thanks for trusting us to do Your work, may be work hard to please You in all we do, and may we set our standards high as did Mary and Joseph. Thanks again for this line, please keep it from getting sick. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Now go forth caring and sharing and loving on each other as you work the call for our Lord Jesus.
Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Monday 11/26/12 The Story 5
Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for another night and a good night's rest, and thanks for yesterday and all the blessings that You lent to all of us. Please teach us to share them. Dear Father, we love You and give thanks for this line. Please keep watching over those on our prayer list, for Mary Kessler who has cancer, for Dick Mowery who has cancer, for those with kidney problems, and please watch over all those who come in for food, that they might locate jobs and go to work. Please keep watch over Matthew and those others in the hospital in the unit where he is. Thanks again, Lord, for all You do, and please keep my mind focused on the story of Jesus as a baby. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Good morning, my dear brothers and sisters. I pray your weekend went well and that you are up and about this beautiful morning. It is indeed a great day to be alive and alive in our Lord Jesus. In fact, dare I say this today, if you are not alive in our Lord Jesus, you are NOT ALIVE AT ALL. AMEN.
Let me get back to the story, and let's see what the angel of the Lord might be up to today.
The Story (Day 5)
Matthew 1:18 - This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name of Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins." 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel which means, "God with us." (NIV)
The Angel of the Lord sure does get around, first talking to Zechariah, then to Mary, and then he is off to appear to Joseph and make things understandable to him. Again I want you to think about how you would react to having a messenger of the Lord appear to you, be it in a dream or in person. Not just what you might think, but how would you respond to what the Lord wants you to do? In our Bible there are many things quoted that are really direct messages from the Lord. Do you know any of them? Come on, brothers and sisters, God does talk to us when we pray if we listen, but He also talks to us and it is in the written word written right in our Bible for us to read. Words straight from God. You say you can't think of one place where God talks to us and asks us to do things ... Let's take a look at a few of them today. Now remember this scripture as we start out today, and yes, I use this one a lot, folks.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (NIV)
Here is the very first thing that was told to us, and it is recorded in the Bible:
Genesis 3:1 - Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden?'" 2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, of you will die.'" (NIV)
So brothers and sisters, you can see right from the start, God spoke to His people and sadly, His people did not always listen, and so started sin. Then we can also dig into our Bible and take a look at those things called Commandments, and we have the original ten. Plus the two great commandments. Throughout the Bible we have been given orders and commandments. Love our neighbors, be forgiving of others, be kind, be nice, honor our parents, and I could go on and on and on. We have been ordered to take the good news to all the corners of the world, and folks, are we doing all these things that are in the Bible? No, no, I am sure we are not doing all we can do for our Lord.
So let us start today and tell God we want to do better and ask Him to help us. Then let us dig into the word and ask God to help us listen to Him and to not just wait on an angel of the Lord but to look for the orders in the Bible. Are you with me today? So starting today when we pray, and we all agree, when we pray we will take time to listen for our orders from Him. Let's start right now.
Dear Father in Heaven, we love You and starting right now, we want to listen more often, we want to hear from You and obey Your orders, and we want to dig into Your word and seek out orders. Lord, it would be nice to see an angel of Yours, but Your word and Your talking to us is just as good, and we want to be in good standing of You. Help us to stay in line and be faithful to You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday 11/23/12 The Story 4
Dear Father in Heaven: As people flock to malls around the country on a day, Lord, we call Black Friday to get bargains on gifts they say are for Christmas, they only need to know, Lord, that the greatest gift of all time is just free for the asking and is always there, no need to wait for a special day. Today, Dear Father, is Salvation Friday on the line, not Black Friday, and today, Lord, we ask Your help in getting out the word about Salvation, and Your gift of Your Son Jesus. Help us as we open Santa's House to get the word to the kids and to their parents. All glory and honor to You this and every day for such a great gift as Jesus. And to You, our dear Jesus, in whose name I pray, thanks for leading the way for us ... Amen.
It is indeed not Black Friday on this line, it is Salvation Friday and the greatest gift of all time is offered free on this line today as we try and tell all whom this gift comes from and how you get the free gift. I pray all had a great Thanksgiving. We here at the Southern Location of the North Pole got together as a ministry team, and after making a delivery of food to a dear and trusted family, we came back and sat down to way too much food. We talked, prayed, planned, and gave thanks as we go forth with a busy season. Our numbers for the food bank are growing and growing, as we walk out in faith to try and help all who are in need and call on us. Keep praying for those on our prayer list, and please pray for Carry The Light Ministries as we go forth in our walk with the Lord. And let me get started with one really important part of the Ministry and that is this line.
Luke 1:39 - At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah's home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!" (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, as I look at this scripture today, there is just not one doubt in my mind that there is life in the womb of a mother-to-be and that life is a child. Look at it, brothers and sisters. In Luke 1:41, when Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb. It just does not get any clearer to me than that. Little John in the womb of Elizabeth was jumping for joy. As we near Christmas and talk about the real reason why we have Christmas, it does get exciting to me and I role-play Santa and have for years and years. This Santa knows and tells the real reason we have for this season and the real reason we have Salvation and a gift that is free to all who just come to the Lord, and the gift is "Everlasting Life." So today, folks, while some folks are running around hunting bargains on gifts, let me tell you how to get one great big free gift called "Salvation through Jesus Christ."
Some gifts in life are just not needed, in fact most of them are not. Do we really need that 75-inch television set? NO! Do we need a new cell phone so you can text while you are driving? NO! However, with that said, you might need that free gift of Salvation sooner if you keep using that phone to text while you are driving.
Why do we need this gift of Salvation and who needs it? First, why do we need it? Because we are all sinners and we need the gift to clear us of our sins because only those who are clean of sin get into heaven. We are cleaned by the blood of Jesus and our faith in Him and the fact He was risen from the dead by God The Father. Now, who needs it? It is simple, the only ones who really need the gift of Salvation, which is free for the asking, are those wanting to go to heaven. Those who don't want it, and do not come to Jesus, will, well, sorry to tell you this so bluntly, but they will just go to Hell. No other place to go, and it is up to you. So if you have time to shop on Black Friday, I do pray you have time for Jesus on Salvation Friday. And if you are already saved, then why not be like the clerk in a store today and tell folks where the real bargain can be found? Yes, it is found in Jesus Christ.
Will you go to prayer with me right now asking God to clean you and asking God to use you this day to help the unsaved ... come on, let's get it done ...
Dear Father in Heaven, I confess I am a sinner and I need to be cleaned up this day, on this day we call Black Friday. Lord, I want to work to help get people whiter than snow by bringing them to Your feet to be saved, but first, dear Lord, wash me in the blood of Jesus so I can go to work clean and work for You, Lord. In Jesus' name, clean me. Amen.
Now go forth and share those blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
P.S. We are in need of food pickers and packers on Saturday, December 1st from 9 to about noon ... Sorry, please, no young children ... Please let me know ... 771 991 0754 ... Thanks!

Thanksgiving 2012
Dear Father in Heaven, I give thanks this day to You for all things, thanking You for the very air we breathe, and for all the clothes we have and for all the food we will eat. As we today sit down in America for a big feast may we remember that all this food came from You and with the help of so many now sits on our tables before us. Thanks for being faithful to us, even when we were not so faithful to You. Be with those on our prayer lists and watch over them, healing cancers, heart problems, bone problems, and mental concerns, depression, and also addictions and substance abuse. Lord, healing only comes from You, not always directly, but always from You. On this Thanksgiving Day in America, I just want to pause and say Thank You, Jesus, for everything, and I pray in Your name this prayer You taught us to pray.
Our Father who art in Heaven: Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Evil, for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Amen.
Thanksgiving 2012.
Hebrews 12:28 - Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be THANKFUL, and so worship God acceptable reverence and awe. (NIV)
My prayer for all of you, my dear brothers and sisters, is that you have a very Happy Thanksgiving, and that you and your family are well. Most of all I pray you are giving all glory to God for all things this day. I pray that those of you who have been affected by the storms of Sandy and the storms of life will come to God and be thankful for what you have. As you sit down around that table today, think about what we have and what so many folks do not have. There are people around this world that have next to nothing to eat, have no electric ever, carry all their water, and work hard. Folks, I have seen myself at food buffets where people make trip after trip back to the food bar piling high food on their plates and eating a few bites and going back for more and more, and their kids do the same. We have many people coming to the food pantry in need of food but have big flat screen TV's at home and two cell phones on their person. I could go on and on.
Today fall on your face, maybe when you pray before your meal, push your dish back, bury your face on the table and GIVE IT UP FOR JESUS. After all, folks, HE GAVE IT UP FOR US ... Amen.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving, and remember please to share your blessings.
Love ya, Pastor Dan
Check the Carlisle Sentinel paper today, there is a story about Santa's House.

Wed 11/21/12 The Story 3
Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for another day of life here on planet Earth. Thanks for all You do for all of us. Thanks for taking care of our families. Dear Lord, please give traveling mercies to those who are on the highways for this holiday, and please bless all those hunters as they go out to hunting camps next week. Please be with Dick Mowery and heal him from cancer. Please, Lord, be with Patsy, Burt, Barbara, Ruby, Vicki, Donna, Beverly, Matthew, Sterling, and Luella, and Lord, please be with the family of Stanley Bingham, who came to be with You. Thanks for all his service to our country. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Hi, brothers and sisters, and happy Thanksgiving Eve. New to our prayer list this day is Dick Mowery, who has lung cancer. Dick is the brother of our ministry partner, Pamela Bower. Please keep praying for those on our ongoing prayer list. Please keep praying for our son Matthew who is back in the Holy Spirit Hospital. Please pray for peace in our homeland of Israel. Pray for worldwide peace, meaning pray for Jesus to come back and get we who know Him, in the meantime, pray for God to use you in some way to get out the Good News about Salvation through Jesus. Now let me get back to the story.
The Story (Day 3).
Luke 1:30 - But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; His kingdom will never end." 34 "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" 35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God." 38 "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her. (NIV)
Yesterday I talked about how scared Zechariah and Mary must have been when all of a sudden this angel of the Lord, Gabriel, showed up and told them He was sent by God. We found out that even at an old age Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth would have a baby, and now Mary who is a virgin and very young is going to have a child, and not just a child, but Jesus, who will be King of all kings and Lord of all lords. And most of all He will be our Savior. I must wonder, did Mary really know that someday this child she is having will save her from death, so she will pass to heaven? Mary did not ask but one question of the angel, "How will this be since I am a virgin?" After she was told by Gabriel, she said, "May it be to me as you have said."
Mary could have asked a lot of questions. Ladies, put yourself in the shoes of Mary, look back when you were a virgin, and maybe some of you still are. Look back and think about this, you are young, you are pretty, and you have never been with a man, but you are dating this fine gentleman and would love to marry him someday and you find you are with child, and no one has touched you except the Holy Spirit. What are you going to tell this guy, what are you going to tell your parents, what will your friends think? Think about the pressure that could have been on Mary, but she was a true servant of the Lord and she took on the assignment. What about you, brothers and sisters, when God gives you an assignment, do you question Him or do you just say, "I am your servant, Lord, Thy will be done with me." Each day we pray, or should pray, for an assignment from God, and we should work for Him each day of our life. Yes, we need to live our lives for Him and follow in His footsteps not just once in awhile, not just for one hour on Sunday, not just at choir practice, but in each step you make, you need to let people see The Son of God in your walk. Let Jesus be your guiding light unto your feet. With His light you will not fall or fail, without it you surely will fail and fall. The neat part of walking in the light of the Lord is it does not run up your electric bill and you need to change batteries once in awhile. Jesus is indeed the light. Without Jesus in your life and if you are a Christian but not walking daily with Him, you can find yourself in total darkness even in the bright light of the day. Brothers and sisters, there are givers and takers in this world today, but we all need to walk with the Lord and if we indeed share the blessings that He has poured out on us, we will be blessed even more. How about it, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, will you please take time to give thanks for what You have, and in some way share it with others?
Speaking of Thanksgiving, I am going to finish this writing and then go get the turkey out of the fridge, all 30 pounds of it, and make some stuffing and stuff it full. Most of the time when I cook a turkey, and that is about once a month, I do it with some sort of juice, peach juice, or pear juice, or mixed fruit, but not this time, this time I am making a "bacon turkey." I am going to drape the turkey with some good smoked bacon and let the bacon juice cover that outside. I am also making a ham and will do that in pineapple and that is always good. So the menu will look like this. Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and more mashed potatoes, and even more mashed potatoes. Wanda is baking corn and Grant is making pumpkin pie. We will have cranberry salad and green beans and some good old corn bread ... wow, what a feast.
On Black Friday, Santa's House opens for visitors from 10 to noon and from 2 to 4 so if you are out and about, stop in to see old Santa and have those kids or grandkids hear the real story of Christmas. Same hours on Saturday, folks. All who come will receive a toy, little ones will receive a toy that they can paint or color and give to someone else, maybe a grandparent, plus they will get something for themselves. Wow, no disappointments at Santa's House ... Groups are also welcome.
Dear Father in Heaven, please bless Thanksgiving for all, and please make it special for our troops wherever they are serving. Lord, protect them. Lord, be with all our police and firefighters and keep them safe. Lord, please keep blessing the many ministries of Carry The Light Ministries as we head into a very, very busy season. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings ... Santa's House address follows. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Tuesday 11/20/12 The Story 2
Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You so much for such a beautiful day. Thanks for all the blessings that You loaned to us this day, and I pray that we will share them according to Your will for those blessings. I just want You to know, dear Lord, and I pray all will be praying this prayer also, I just want You to know that I love You very, very much. I confess I do not always understand Your will but I do pray that I will always honor it. Help me, dear Lord, for I know I am a sinner and I know I want to walk with Jesus daily. Some days I do not handle it well and I know that, Lord, so help me, dear Lord, when I slip. Please be with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel and keep our homeland safe. Be with Mrs. Clinton as she travels in Israel, a place, dear Lord, where our president should be right now. I am sorry as a nation we are letting You down, Lord, but for me and for this line, we really want to walk it with You. In Jesus' name, I thank You for the food coming in to the pantry and for the dollars coming in to buy more food. And Lord, as we open Santa's House, help us to get out the real story of Christmas to all who come. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Good evening from the Southern Location of the North Pole, the Home of Santa's House and Carry The Light Ministries Food Pantry. It has truly been a busy week here at the food pantry as we have been getting calls from all around, people we have never heard from, looking for turkeys. When we ask them if they had a turkey already, most of the folks did say yes and were trying to get another one. We do our main distribution of food with turkeys on the third Saturday of December. Our turkey stock is now up to 55 and we are climbing, thanks to donations of turkeys and free turkeys from the Giant and one dear, dear family who saved up their spending money and sent it to us to purchase turkeys. To that dear couple, I am having a ball getting those turkeys. Giant Food Stores have a deal if you purchase $25 worth of food you can purchase a turkey for $.59 per pound. I have been making trip after trip inside the Giant buying veggies which are on sale at $.50 per can, and when I get over that number of $25, I get another turkey. What a great way to be a good steward of dollars trusted to us.
Thank you, Patsy and Burt, your donation was wonderful and I am having a ball. By the way, Santa's House opens on Black Friday at 10:00 AM. Bring those kids and grandkids. No disappointment here, folks. Now to the Story, and Day 2.
The Story (Day 2).
Luke 1:26 - In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you." 29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God." (NIV)
Wow, this angel of the Lord, Gabriel, sure does get around. You do remember just yesterday we talked about old Gabe coming to Zechariah and telling him he was going to be the father of John as his wife Elizabeth will be in the motherly way, and she is way up in years. I mean, Elizabeth and Zechariah are old and they are going to have a child, and now six months later, Gabriel shows up at the home of Mary, who we over the years have lovingly called her "The Virgin Mary." Now tomorrow we will talk about what Gabriel tells Mary, but for now, let me just say to you, what would you think if you were at work, or just sitting at home, men, maybe you are watching a football game, and ladies maybe you are in the bathroom working with your hair, when all of a sudden the room gets bright and here is this angel of the Lord, ladies, here is Gabriel, sitting on the edge of your bathtub saying to you, "Hi there, I bring you good news from our Lord Jesus." Would your heart not be in your mouth, and your chest be pumping? Maybe you are thinking, did I do something that bad that God dispatched an angel to get me back in line? Or maybe you are thinking, is this the way we get called home, was my ticket just punched up in Heaven? Forget the message, ladies, what would you be thinking, I bet it would seem like a month of Sundays until he got that message out ...
Men, what about you, you are watching the Steelers play and they just made a touchdown and you wanted to see it on a rerun, for you know the Steelers don't score often, when this angel Gabriel was sitting on the edge of your TV stand and you could see nothing. What would you be thinking, get out of the way, or what did I do to get into this kind of trouble? Maybe I should not have bet on this game? I mean, what would go through one's mind? What if you were Jeff Gordon, and he just got finished wrecking Jeff Burton and all of a sudden sitting beside Jeff in car 24 was Gabriel ... Hi, Jeff, I am an angel of the Lord, my name is Gabriel, and I have been sent to ... And Jeff might be thinking ... fine me the $100,000 NASCAR, but must you call up God and have the Big Guy come and take me away? Think about it, folks, it could happen at any time, God could call on you to do something for Him, and maybe, just maybe, He might send an angel to get your attention. I would think you would have been doing something good if He sent the angel to you, I mean God did find favor in Noah, and Zechariah, and now Mary. When is it our turn, and what would we think about it?
Folks, I know when God called me into full-time service for Him, I was laying on the street. No angel of the Lord came, Gabriel did not show up, but He did send a few police cars, two fire trucks, an ambulance, and a medical unit, as I laid on the street. He even sent Bob Coburn, my assistant at the school on the fire truck, and that was one afternoon I will never forget. Called into His service right there on the street. Now you are mine full-time, and I just sort of went along for the ride after that, praying and following what I would hear from God as He spoke to my heart.
Maybe the one who comes for you might not be Gabriel, maybe it will be a police officer, or a fireman, or maybe He pulled you out of a flood with someone from river rescue or one of our National Guards. Pray and listen as I am sure that sometime God will be calling on you to hear these words ... I want you to go into the world and tell the Good News of Jesus ... Are you ready to answer the call today? Are you really?
Dear Father in Heaven, Here I am, Lord, is it I, Lord? Yes, Lord, I am ready, and I pray all on this line will tell You the same today in prayer with You. I am ready, Lord, I am ready, send me, Lord. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Ready, Set, Go, and share your blessings.
Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Monday 11/19/12 The Story
Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for another day, and thanks for all You do for us each and every day. Sometimes we forget to say Thank You, and we confess, I confess, I need to do better at giving You glory. Thanks for watching over our children and thanks for watching over Matthew. He is in Your hands, Lord, please take care of him. Help me now as I get started writing The Christmas Story, please give it to me word by word each day. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, it is that time of year again when I like to get started on the Christmas story, and each year I pray that Jesus will give me a new look at the old, old story and the real reason for the season and the real reason we have Christmas. This year, I would love to write this story in the eyes of Old Santa Claus. One year I wrote it in the eyes of the Donkey, sort of made a donkey of myself, so to speak. (I did not want to use the other word for donkey.) Please pray today for the President of the United States. Yesterday I heard on the live news that he said he needs prayer, even if the prayers are put through Buddha. I just cannot believe that our president said that, but I saw it on the live news. My Bible tells me that the only way to get to The Father is through His Son Jesus. To me that means for prayer or anything you want to get to the Father in Heaven, including we who want to go to heaven. Pray also for our homeland, Israel, and for our Jewish brothers and sisters. Let me get to the Story.
Luke 1:5 - In the time of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. 6 Both of them were upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord's commandments and regulations blamelessly. 7 But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren; and they were both well along in years. 8 Once when Zechariah's division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, 9 he was chosen by log, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. 10 And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside. 11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12 When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13 But the angel said to him; "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear a son, and you are to give him the name John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth." (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, as I start the story this year, I am starting it with the birth of John, John The Baptist, as we call him. John's father, Zechariah, and his mother, Elizabeth, were well up in years, about 100. Okay, ladies, how would you like to be way up in years and find out that you were going to have a child? At a time in life when one should be enjoying grandchildren or even great-grandchildren, here is a couple being blessed by God with a child ... A forerunner of our Lord Jesus.
I love reading in the Bible about an angel of the Lord showing us, and some of their first words are "Do not be afraid." I also love the news that the angels of the Lord bring. Please note they do not bring bad news. How would you like it if on this Thanksgiving Day you and your family would be sitting around your table with a big feast and about the time you are ready to pray an angel of the Lord would appear and say something like this: Do not be afraid, my name is Gabriel, how is your dinner? Then he might go on to talk to you about going out to work for our Lord Jesus, maybe even tell you whee God wants you to go. I for one think it would be thrilling to hear from God this way. Hey, Pastor Dan, do not be afraid, I bring you good tidings and great joy, and I want you to keep working for God until the day He calls you home. Brothers and sisters, if you pray and pray in faith, our Lord Jesus will speak to you directly, and that to me is even more thrilling. We also have the Holy Spirit covering over us, and that is also thrilling. Brothers and sisters, if we walk daily, and I mean if we walk daily with Jesus, we will be blessed with all of these things.
We are not going to talk much about Zechariah, Elizabeth, or even John, although we will bring Elizabeth back in, in the near future. Tomorrow we are going to see who the angel talks to next. Who do you think the angel of the Lord will be talking to next?
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me, forgive us of our sins, and wash us white as snow. Thanks for placing this story on my mind, and thanks for helping me share it with others. Be with our President and I pray today for his soul. Please be with our brothers and sisters in Israel and keep them safe. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings and please keep your faith and talk to our Father in Heaven in all things you do. Before you do anything, talk it over with God. It works much better that way.

Wed. 11/14/12 Hated 2
My Dear Father in Heaven. Thank You for another day, dear Lord, and thanks for being with us when no one else is around. Dear Father, I pray that I would spend more time with You, it seems I get so busy I just do not sit down and talk to You. Thanks for all You do for all of us, thanks for being with those who have been hit by the storms. Lord, watch over those who do not have power and help them to understand that if they just pray and believe You will take care of them. Help us all to understand that we are going to have storms and there are reasons behind them. Lord, we look forward to seeing the blessings come out of the storms. I have seen it already as people in our area are filling trucks with goods to go to the storm-hit areas. Jesus, I love that You died for all of us, and that You have been risen from the dead, and I love the prayer You taught us to pray when we pray together:
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Evil, for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory Forever. Amen. Thanks again, Jesus, all honor and glory to You. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and it is indeed another beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Blessings have been flowing in. Yesterday Grant and I unloaded the Ministry trailer of canned goods we purchased on sale a few days ago. I also heard from a much larger food pantry in our area, who help us in our stock. I asked Joanne (Food Manager) what they were short of for their Thanksgiving food distribution, and she told me turkeys. In faith we took some of our turkeys (six) and headed to New Hope Ministries food pantry. Now you know how when you give to God in faith, He makes things grow. Let me tell you we received a lot of help there. And I am sure God will see we have more turkeys, and we have our distribution before Christmas. Dear brothers and sisters, another example of the fact you just cannot out-give our Lord. Someone please say AMEN. Pray please for all those who might think they will be alone on Thanksgiving, and help them remember that when they truly, truly love Jesus they are never, ever alone. Another AMEN please.
Want to hear some great Gospel Music? This Friday evening, 7:00 PM at Glenvale Church of God, Marysville, PA. You will hear the best from the former Couriers, Dave, Duane, and Neil. A great way to take away all the worries as these gentlemen help you lay your burdens to the Lord. Now let me get to the message.
Hated: Day Two.
John 15:20 - "Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, as we serve our Lord as Disciples and as Christians, we must remember who our Master is, and in case you have forgotten, it is Jesus Christ. Please look at the scripture above where Jesus tells us, "If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also." Yesterday Jesus is quoted as saying, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first." Now I am going to upset a lot of people today when I make this statement ... We as Christians are to love everyone, and we also have been forgive of our past sins, but for sure if you get going working for Jesus, someone will surely bring up your past and say, I remember him or her when he or she did this or that. And sometimes it is others who call themselves Christians that throw those things around.
Jesus tells us we will be persecuted because He was persecuted but He also gave us this news. "If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also." When we go out walking in the shoes of Jesus, walking in His light, really walking with Him, we are going to find out that some will listen to us about Salvation through Jesus Christ and some will be non-believers. So who should we keep trying to talk to? If you said the non-believer, you are correct. Folks, I think one of the most abused words is Christian, which means "Christ-like". Sometimes we will find people who call themselves Christians are not really walking with Jesus. I know that all of us slip and fall from time to time, but if we are solid Christians, we will reach out even more for Jesus and keep going forward in His word. It seems that even in churches people get to fighting about how things should be run. Most often it comes to money, programs need cut, fund raising needs done. Remember, folks, that first thing that needs done is the word of the Lord needs to be preached, spoken, and taught. If the truth is being told, then the church should grow. Growing up in the city of Harrisburg, I saw a lot of churches grow back in the 50's and then as neighborhoods started to mix, when our black brothers and sisters started moving in more and more, they were not invited to the big churches. Then those churches started to fail, people started to move out of the city and go to other churches, the church buildings in the city fell into bad shape, some even fell down, the roofs falling in first, some burnt. But some came back, and they came back in all their glory, because they became homes of BIBLE believing Christians of another color than us white folks. Their music was different, more upbeat, they were alive, and full of Christ. As I look back now I wonder how we were loving our neighbors and these things happened. Folks, they are still going on, think about it. How can we say today that we love all of our neighbors when today it seems to be worse than before but sometimes now in reverse? Brothers and sisters, please love your God and love your neighbors, and folks, remember please who your neighbor is, but also please, please, remember this, remember who God is, He is indeed our Lord Jesus Christ. And brothers and sisters, if you are really hated because of Jesus, wear it as a BADGE OF HONOR ... Amen.
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us of our sins, help us to love all others, and help the pastors in Your churches remember that the church belongs to You, Lord, and we, we who are pastors are Your servants, and we are under You. Help us teach, preach, and love on all who You put in front of us. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth loving Jesus, and by all means sharing your blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan. Read on, please!
Have little children in your family, or grandchildren? Here is your chance to come right to the Southern Location of the North Pole and have those kids hear Santa and Mrs. Claus tell the story of the birth of Christ. Of course you are welcome to stay also. Opening Black Friday 10 to noon and 2 to 4. Be one of the first ... complete schedule will be out soon ... be blessed, love ya, SANTA.

Tuesday 11/13/12 Hated
Dear Father in Heaven: It is a beautiful morning after the nice rain You sent us overnight. Thank You for it. Thank You for the food that we brought in yesterday for the food pantry and thank You for sending several new families that we could help. Lord, please keep Your healing hand on those on this line and in our flock who have been ill. Please watch over Patsy, Burt, Barbara, Dolores, Sterling, Luella, Vicki, Josh, and Lord, please keep Your hand upon Beth, Craig, Emily, Curtis, and the baby in Beth's womb. Touch Sharon, who was in for food yesterday and her son who was injured in a cycle accident years ago. Lord, please, please be with our President and his family and all of our leaders. Lord, our nation is so unworthy, but we ask in the name of Jesus that You will touch people worldwide and touch them in America so they turn to You. Lord, please keep us working for You so we can get the word out for You, even if it means we will be hated. In Jesus' Name, I give praise and pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, it is beautiful here at the Southern Location, perfect, just perfect. I went to our local food store where I was able to get a great buy on some canned goods. (Last week we got our big order in.) The corn and green beans were on sale, and each time I hit 25 dollars I could get a turkey for 59 cents per pound. I made a bunch of trips in and out of the store. Some folks saved and saved to help us purchase turkeys, and I am trying my best to get the best deals. We also had some folks gift us with the "free" turkey slips that had to be used by Thanksgiving. We also received a "free" turkey slip with each 400 points or 400 dollars we spent at the food store. With all we purchase at that store and our big order last week, we received 14 free turkeys. THANK YOU, JESUS!! Remember, we have our big distribution day in December. We do this as many food pantries give out turkeys at Thanksgiving.
Want to help at the food pantry? Here are four ways ... You can pray and pray for us. You can help by either purchasing some food and dropping it off, or by sending some dollars. You may come and join us on Saturday, December 1st between 9 and noon when we sort and pack food. And of course you are welcome to come on December 15th between 9 and noon to help load out cars. I would estimate at this point we will have between 70 and 80 cars pull up our driveway that day for food. We need prayer warriors, people who will go to cars coming in and pray with the people who come for food. We need loaders, and we need those who keep the loaders' baskets filled. This is a very, very rewarding day, folks. At the end of the message today, I will list our address and phone numbers. Also, dear brothers and sisters, maybe you are a family in need. Please just let me know, WE WILL HELP YOU!!!
Now let me move on to tell you it is okay to be HATED!!
John 15:18 - "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." (NIV)
Yes, folks, back in the day when Jesus walked this earth, people hated His disciples, and today we who are true disciples of Jesus are also hated. And brothers and sisters, I know we all would like to be loved by everyone, and as Christians if you are TRULY a Christian then you love everyone. If you are hating someone for whatever the reason might be, then you need to address yourself and ask yourself this question. Am I truly a Christian, do I really walk in the footsteps of Jesus?
I believe that one of the biggest reasons that Mitt Romney was not elected president was because he loves Jesus and he told people just that. I don't care what religion Governor Romney is, he confessed to loving Jesus, and that if done in faith makes him a Christian, and by working telling others about Jesus makes one a disciple and makes them hated by the world. At one time it really bothered me if I knew someone who hated me, but now that I understand "The Word", it does not trouble me at all. I truly want to be a disciple of Jesus. Years ago I picked up my net, and myself, off the street, and came to Christ. Do I still sin? Do I still mess up? Yes, but I have been forgiven, and I will go forth in the name of Jesus. I pray you will do the same. If people hate you and the only reason if your love for Jesus and you speaking out for Him, then don't sweat it, folks (nice old term there), JESUS HAS YOUR BACK, so to speak. Jesus tells us, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first."
Think about this, folks, those who are working the fields of harvest, really working them, you have been chosen to do this as one out of the world, you are no longer part of the world, you are indeed part of the body of Christ and you belong to Him. Please, brothers and sisters, enjoy being hated by some, but know this, Jesus loves you, other true Christians love you, and yes, I love you also.
Dear Lord, please save us this day and help us to work harder and harder for You, and Lord, the more people hate us in Your name, please let us work harder for You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan. Information follows ...

Veterans' Day 2012
John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. (NIV)
Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You so much for this country and thank You so much for all the men and women who have given their lives, parts of their body, their minds, and who will carry the scars of battle forever. I pray today for our veterans and for our current military, and I do pray in faith and with hope in my heart for peace. Please, Lord, bless America and please help America come back to You. Lord, I am sorry for the way America is, so many have given so much to keep America free, but also so many have set out to keep You out of things. I for one, Lord, want You in our country, and I for one want You in my life daily. Lord, help us and save us. In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters. There is a saying, "all gave some and some gave all." I am not a veteran, I never served our country in the military, but I love our country just the same, and I will serve the Lord until He calls me home. I want to thank Dolores for her service to the country, she was in the Air Force and then the 193rd based in Middletown, PA. I will not attempt to name all those I know who served, I tried that before and I always miss some.
Today I just want to say THANK YOU, for your service to our country, FOR WITHOUT OUR MILITARY, I COULD NOT STAND UP IN PUBLIC AND SAY THIS ... I LOVE JESUS ...
I also think it is a darn shame that after so many lives have been lost to keep us free, and free so we could speak out about our Lord and enjoy other freedoms in this country, that a few people, just a few, can have crosses taken down and want to change our pledge by removing UNDER GOD. After so many have been willing to fight for our country they come home from some of our wars like Vietnam to be spit on by some long-haired hippie freaks. It is high time we take care of our veterans, and folks, we are going to start something new in our food pantry! If a veteran needs food, they go to the head of the line. Brothers and sisters, when you see one of our men or women in uniform, thank them, for you are indeed free because of them ...
As for your personal freedom, Thank God for that ...
America: One Nation Under God. Thank You, Jesus, for our military, past and present.
AND VETERANS ... THANK YOU. I LOVE YOU. Pastor Dan.

Friday 11/9/12 The Big Three
Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for another day, and thanks for Friday and the day we call Salvation Friday. Please, Lord, forgive us of our sins, and Lord, for we who are saved, renew us this day by cleaning us, and Lord, use us in Your fields of harvest to help bring in the lost. Point them out to us so that we may teach them about Your love for all of us. Help us, Lord, I pray in Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, what a beautiful fall day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Today is Salvation Friday and the day we pray for the lost and pray for we who are saved that God would clean us and send us forth to work the fields for Him. Pray also that when He does send us, we answer the call, not just walk away. Today I want to do a wrap-up of the message on the Big Three, and I want to get right to it, as it might go long.
The Big Three (Wrap-Up).
Matthew 17:20 - Jesus replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible to you." (NIV)
Let's today talk about faith. How much faith do you have? Do you pray for healing or for money to buy fuel and nothing happens? Could it be your lack of faith? How much faith do we really have? Do you know that we must also use good judgment when it comes to faith? Oh, you want me to explain that one? Folks, we must not test God when it comes to our faith, we just must have faith in God and believe. Let me just make up a couple of examples. Okay, you have faith that when you cross the street you are not going to get run over by a vehicle. Do you just walk out in traffic saying no one will hit me because I have faith that God is protecting me? Or do you cross at the crosswalks, look both ways until traffic is clear before you cross, and then have faith that no vehicle will hit you? Do you have faith that God will heal you but never, ever go to the doctors that God has loaned talent to? Or do you go to your doctors and get treated and have faith that God is working directly and also through your doctors? I have four doctors, my family doctor, a pain doctor, and the one who handled my cancer, plus my foot doctor. All of them have faith in God through our Lord Jesus and each one of them prays with us when we are in the office. God is good. Now you say, why go to the doctors if you have faith in God healing you? Listen to me on this one ... You pray for food, does God provide this food? Yes, but the sky does not open up and food drop on your plate because you have faith. God works through the hands of many on this food chain. Think of it from the farmers who go to the farm stores to get their seeds, so it starts way before the planting. The fields get readied, and then the planting and the tending and all of that and then the harvest. Oh, and God does send the rain if in a dry area, He lent talent to men and women to put in systems to water the plants. So if we put our faith in God and we really listen to Him, it will work out.
I Corinthians 13:13 - And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. (NIV)
Have you ever hoped for something? Of course you have, you have prayed for it, and HOPEFULLY you had FAITH that it would come. Maybe in our younger days we might have called it a wish or something else. All who are parents have prayed and hoped that our children would grow up and be good Christ-loving adults. We pray and hope that they work hard and get all the things in life they need and lot of what they really want. We also have hope for other things. And you cannot separate faith and hope, my friends. If you do not have faith, how can you even think about hope? Folks, how many of you have walked out on a limb in faith? I know many people who have. Let me roll back about 50 years and tell you about a few young men who walked out in faith to sing for the Lord. Picking an are in the United States where God sent them to sing ... and sing they did and the name of the Couriers was born, and although those guys, who made the walk back then, three are still walking out in faith and one is home with the Lord. Many others have done the same and from Dave, Duane, Neil, Tim, Pastor Larry, Doug Boyer, and so many more have stepped out in faith, with Hope that the Love of God will be shared with all who they come in contact with while singing, preaching, and teaching. We in Carry The Light Ministries have stepped out in faith with hope that we could get the word out for the Lord and also feed the hungry as we go.
Folks, are you ready today when you Hope for things to take that step out in Faith? Do you have faith in our Lord Jesus and hope that you will make it to Heaven? Folks, Faith and Hope come from God, that is REAL faith and hope.
Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (NIV)
I Corinthians 13:3 - If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. (NIV)
I Corinthians 13:1 - If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (NIV)
I Corinthians 13:4 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs, 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always HOPES, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. (NIV)
Mark 1:10 - As Jesus was coming up out of the water, He saw Heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove. 11 And a voice came from Heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with You I am well pleased." (NIV)
Mark 12:30 - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." 31 "The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." (NIV)
Yesterday I quoted that scripture from Matthew about the great commandments.
Folks, you can think you have it all, but if you do not have love, you HAVE NOTHING! Throughout the Bible, God talks about Love and Jesus talks about Love. Where do you stand on it? Do you love your neighbors, all of them? Some people don't even love their family members or at least they do not show it. If you truly have love, you will show it. Jesus showed it in the way He lived on this earth. Jesus was always doing for others and setting examples for others to follow. How about you? You might say you love all others, but does your lifestyle play that out? Maybe the reason some people do not love their neighbors as themselves is because they do not love or even like themselves. I talked about that yesterday, this is a wrap-up.
John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (NIV)
Let's pause right now and say thank you to those of our military who laid down their lives for our country and that means laid down their lives for us. Each day our fine men and women in the Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, and all of the National Guard units, and all of our police officers, have been willing to lay down their lives, and some have.
Romans 5:6 - You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ DIED for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, CHRIST DIED FOR US. (NIV)
And this is worth repeating over and over again ...
John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (NIV)
John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (NIV)
John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (NIV)
No greater Love has been shown for us than those willing to lay down their lives to keep us safe and free, free as a nation. And no greater love has been shown by anyone other than our Lord Jesus who laid down His life for our sins. Listen to this, He created us, He saved all those who came to Him, He will save all those who come to Him. And for those of us who come, He will someday COME BACK FOR US. NO GREATER LOVE has been shown for us than our Lord who went to the cross for us and died for us, even before we were born. JESUS DIED FOR YOU AND FOR ME. Jesus knew us when He was on the cross, He knew us even before we were in the womb.
Now, my dear brothers and sisters ... I know all of you would lay down your lives for your child or grandchild. So I will ask you this ... Are you willing to lay down your life for others and for Jesus? If you are asked by a non-believer who is holding a gun to your head "Do you love Jesus?" What would you say? Would you lay down your life for Jesus as He laid down His life for you?
Brothers and sisters, I pray I would have the nerve and courage to put my life on the line for you and for Jesus. I pray none of us are called to that, but Lord, please help us to be strong and ready and willing.
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for laying down Your life for us, thanks for dying for us so we might live. Give us the courage to stand up for You in all we do, even if it means giving up our lives for You as so many missionaries have done in the past. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Thurs 11/8/12 The Big Three
Dear Father in Heaven. Please, Lord, forgive me for getting a late start on the message today, and thank You very much for taking me through one very busy day. Help me, please, with this message, and Lord, be with all those on this line, and Lord, be with all those coming in for food tomorrow. Please watch over all those that have been hit by storms, and Lord, not just a storm we call Sandy, but also the storms of life that hit all of us from time to time. Help us to learn to give all of our storms over to You and have faith knowing that Your love will come through all the time. In Jesus' name, I pray and give thanks. Amen.
Good Thursday evening, my dear brothers and sisters. Sorry about the evening writing again. I was up early and took care of the animals and then it was off for a funeral of a dear friend. Back home and out rounding up food for the pantry. We were also gifted a used hospital bed today, so we have it in our inventory to "loan out" if someone needs one. We also had two of them we gave over some time ago to the Newport Assembly of God, and they are also to loan out. Carry The Light Ministries is alive and well, as is our Lord Jesus Christ, and though we get tired some days, we are going to work for Him until the day He calls us home. (Hopefully we will have long-term employment.) Let's get to the message.
The Big Three: Day Three.
Matthew 22:37 - Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it; 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (NIV)
The Big Three: Me, Myself, and I!! Well, folks, that is the newest one of the Big Three that I could think of and I saved it until last. If you have been reading all week, you know I have listed a lot of big threes, but none are as big as "The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit." However, for now God has me working on "Faith, Hope, and Love." We talked about Faith on Tuesday, Hope on Wednesday, and today it will be Love. Love, according to our Lord, is the greatest of all gifts, and while I could write for days and days on just Love, God directed me to this scripture, which I will repeat.
Matthew 22:37 - Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it; 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Jesus was being tested by the Pharisees and one of them asked him, "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus told them to Love God and Love your neighbor! Now if you do both of them, both of them, it will cover the original Ten. Think about that, folks, really think about it. All too often our love goes only to those three I stated above ... "Me, Myself, and I." For a lot of people put themselves above others. Brothers and sisters, it is okay to love yourself, for the commandment tells us that, but sometimes our loving oneself gets far too involved, and I am sure you know what I am talking about. Brothers and sisters, please, please, know that while we must love everyone, we do not love their sins. In fact, we should surely hate the sins of not only others but even our very own sins.
You know how I felt about the election, I pulled no punches about who I wanted to win, but of course he did not win. But when it comes to those in the White House, I might not like how they run the country, or how they stand on the issues, I still respect the office, and love President Obama and his family in Christian love as God taught us to love. You should with ease be able to walk up to anyone and tell them that you love them. So sad as on today's market, love has been made out to stand for sex, as in "let's make love." So if you are indeed telling a person that you do not know that you love them, be sure they know where you are coming from. I am not suggesting that you walk up to a stranger and just say right out, I love you. However, if you were to talk to that person awhile and get to know them you might tell them "I love you, brother" or "I love you, sister," or better yet, just tell them, "I bring you love in the name of Jesus." I think you are getting my point, and even with all the gay stuff, and you know I do NOT have time for that lifestyle, I still love them.
God truly loves us, and we in turn need to love Him and all of our neighbors.
Dear Father in Heaven, I love You, and I want to tell others, sometimes it is hard to do, and I confess I need Your help in that. So help me and help others to put our Love for You above all others and above all else, and then next in line is everyone else. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. I am falling asleep at the keyboard, but I do have time to add this. Each day I close by saying Love ya. Let me tell you all that I love each and every one of you, and some of you I have never seen in my life. Again, I sign off. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
oops zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, I told you I was sleepy.

Wed 11/7/12 The Big Three
Dear Heavenly Father, the election is over and since I believe You have control over all things, then I feel it was Your will that was done. Lord, please now bring our country together to truly be One Nation Under God. Thank You for all You do for us, and thanks for keeping this line open. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Well, the election is over, and it is time to move on from it. I will support the office of our President, but I will NEVER SUPPORT some of the things this president stands for. Our job now is to really get the word of our Lord Jesus out so that more and more people are saved. Let me move right on out with the message. Please by all means keep praying for those who have lost their homes in the storm called Sandy and those who are still without heat and electric.
The Big Three: Day 2
1 Timothy 4:9/10 - This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance 10 (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men and especially of those who believe.
Dear brothers and sisters, I missed one yesterday when I talked about the big three. Baseball, apple pie, and Chevrolet. But let me get to the ones I am really talking about, "Faith, Hope, and Love." Yesterday I talked a little bit about faith, and, I could write on it for a week or more, but moving on today I want to talk a bit about hope. A lot of us yesterday had faith that we might see a change in things going on in our country through a change in Washington, DC, and that did not happen. That, my dear brothers and sisters, is why we must, must, always keep our eyes on our Lord, our Lord Jesus, and not put our faith and hope in man. Man will always fail us, our Lord Jesus will never fail us. Even when we put faith and hope in our very own selves we sometimes fail if we try and walk it alone, without our Lord Jesus.
The above scripture that Jesus led me to this morning tells us that we need to put our hope in The Living God, who is Savior of all men who believe in Him. There is, my dear brothers and sisters, hope in this old world, but only, and let me say this again, only if we truly come to Him and believe in Him.
John 3:16/17 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (NIV)
You can see this hope for us again and again in the Bible, even if the word hope is not mentioned in the verses. The above scripture, one of the most quoted in the Bible, gives us all hope. Again today I tell you that we must have faith, and if we truly have faith in our Lord Jesus, then having hope for our today and all the tomorrows that God might bless us with, is made easier and better.
Now I have a few chores to get to and then Grant and I are going out to make some food purchases for the food pantry. Yesterday we packed for three additional families, two were first-time families. So pray we find some bargains as our shelves are nearly empty.
Father in Heaven, it is time we come to You, come to You in faith so that You can give us hope, hope for each day. Bless us now as we go forth. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Go forth, brothers and sisters, and share your blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Tuesday 11/6/12 The Big Three
Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for waking us this morning and thanks for taking care of us overnight. Today is our election day here in America and we just turn it over now to You, praying Your will is done and that people will pray and then listen to You and then vote according to what You spoke to them. Help us move on this day having faith that You are indeed in control of all things. In Jesus' name I give You praise that we have a country where we can go out and vote for our leaders. Thanks for that, dear Lord. Please keep Your hand upon our ministry team, upon the unborn child of Beth, upon families this day, and please be with Patsy and Burt. Lord Jesus, I love You and I pray in Your wonderful sweet name, the name of Jesus. Amen.
Good Election Day Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Dolores and I woke early, got ready and went out to vote, arriving at the polls at 6:00 AM to be first in line and we were. Dolores voted in the number one spot and I in number two. As we were leaving we saw many neighbors and friends, and the line was long. Brothers and sisters, your vote counts, please get out and vote. Besides praying for whom to vote, pray for a safe election. And pray that we get back to being ONE NATION UNDER GOD. And praise God, as the political ads and phone calls will end today. We have many on our prayer lists that have come in, and I must get it worked up and posted. For today, center your prayers on the election. Now to the message, the Big Three.
John 12:41 - Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about Him. 42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in Him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue. (NIV)
Yes, brothers and sisters, I did write on this subject before, and God as often has put me back on that same subject, however, I am sure He will give me a new look at it.
The Big Three. Today I want to talk to you about the big three, Manny, Moe, and Jack ... No, no, that was not right ... ABC, CBS, NBC ... No, Dan, that is not it ... Ah, I got it, General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler! No, wrong again ... Now I got it ... Baseball, hotdogs, and apple pie. No, I messed it up again. Pray, listen, vote! That is still not it. Okay, here it comes ... the big three ... The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit ... Well, they are indeed the big three, and I will save them for another day, but today I want to talk to you about the big three that God gave me again. My big three for this week are "Faith, Hope, and Love."
So today let me just start with Faith. First you all must know that being a Christian is based on faith. Yes, we are for sure a "faith" based religion. Yes, it takes faith to believe in Jesus and His Word and The Words of others in the Bible. We were not there. Look, however, at the scripture of today and how some people were afraid to confess their faith in Jesus because they might have been tossed out of the synagogue. What about you today, are you afraid to stand up and confess your faith in Jesus because you are afraid that someone will put you down or say you can't talk about Jesus here, wherever here may be?
When did we first start to grow faith? Let's go the whole way back to when we were in the womb, yes, since the moment that we were conceived. Think about it, we were depending on our father and mother right from the start. First we depended on our father to have a good clean body, not full of drugs and things that can be passed onto you as you grow, and folks, today so many men and women are "bed hopping" that when someone has a disease it can be passed along to the child, a disease like AIDS. Then of course your mamma. Yes, your mamma. You have faith while in this comfort zone in the womb that she is going to eat good foods, not be drinking bad stuff, and not smoking and doing other things that will hurt you. Then you have faith that she is going to get good medical attention and also that she will be a good mamma. Then you are left out of the womb. Boom, daylight and a whole new world. The first thing you do is cling to your mother and look for those feeding places. Yes, mamma puts you near them and you have faith she will do that, and you eat that first meal, dining out so to speak. Gosh, eating out for the first time. Mamma's family restaurant, and right now, unless you were a twin or triplet or more, this restaurant which has seating for two, only has one customer. Ah, faith for a good meal and regular feedings, even at two in the morning when you get hungry. Then you have faith that someone is going to change your pants. Now if you want to see good examples of faith just watch a dog or cat with their family. Even our mother goat. The mother has their babies and then starts right away washing them and feeding them and with all the faith those little ones can have, they crawl up to the restaurant, which by the way has much more seating than our mammas had and have. (I bet you ladies are happy about that one.) Goats have table space for two. Anyway, those dogs and cats wash the little ones, and we do the same, okay, in a different way, but we must clean up those babies, and as a baby we had that faith that it would get done. And folks, as we grow does not our faith in our parents grow and grow? I think back to the time when we first can remember, and we did not know where our meals came from, we just knew that they were there. We did not know at this time that our Father in Heaven was providing our needs, we just had faith that at dinner time there was going to be something to eat. And our faith grew and grew in our parents. We had faith as we learned to walk that they would catch us if we started to fall. We had faith if we did fall that they would pick us up and kiss our boo-boo. And then when learning to ride that bike, we had faith that they would be holding onto the seat to keep us up. And you know, even when they let go, we still had faith in them. Our parents let go of that seat and we still had faith in them after that.
Now when we were born, our Lord Jesus gave us free will, and although He keeps His hands on us, He does let us do our own thing as we get older. He does talk with us, and if we dig into the Word we find how He really does take care of us as he provides our needs. Hey, when we slip and fall and get all stained with sin, He will "kiss our boo-boos" with His blood that was shed on the cross when He died for us. Brothers and sisters, it is all about faith, our faith in Jesus, and do you know He really does have faith in us that we will have faith in Him? After all, He has trusted us. How about it today, do you have faith in Jesus? Yes, in saving you in the end, but how about in your daily walk, do you have faith He is walking with you daily? And are you willing to confess your faith wherever you may be, in school, at work, at play, in the mall? Some are afraid to even come forth in church and confess their faith, for some reason that I do not understand. Please do not be afraid to stand up for Jesus, for if you truly love Him, in the end, He is going to stand up for you.
Dear Father in Heaven, please help me each day to grow more and more in faith and walk each step with You. Thanks again for today, and please, Lord, walk with me, and if I do slip, pick me up and wash me off. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Now go forth and vote and share your blessings as you go forth in faith. And please, please, get out and vote, your vote is needed. If voting for Obama, please wait until tomorrow when the lines are not as long. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Monday 11/5/12 Please Vote
Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for a great weekend, and thank You for this Nation, and help please all those who are in the cold, lost power, lost their home, not just in the northeast from Sandy, but even those who lost everything in a fire last evening in our area. Please, dear Father, have Your hand on this election, and Lord, help all pull together after it is over and become truly one nation under You. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will HUMBLE themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, tomorrow is election day, the day when it is all up to us to pick folks who will lead our Nation. I pray that all of you will pray and get out to vote. EACH VOTE COUNTS!!
I have said before that "as for me and my house we will vote for life!" And we sure will. We will also vote for the one who is running who still feels that a marriage should be between a man and a woman! Yesterday President Obama said we "should vote out of revenge." That is not a rumor, I heard that one myself. Governor Romney said we "should vote for love of country!" That is not a rumor, I heard that one myself also.
Both men running for president claim to be Christians, one lives the part, the other does not. In your heart, you know which one is the Christian, it is Governor Romney. Brothers and sisters, we all sin, all of us, and all if we ask in faith to be forgiven, we will be. I am not saying that Governor Romney is not a sinner, for again, we all are. But I believe he is a solid Christian and a solid family man who can and will lead this country in the right direction, which is to get us back to being truly a Nation Under God.
As a Pastor of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, I join with the Reverend Billy Graham and other Christian pastors and I am supporting Governor Romney for President of the United States of America. Again, I ask you to pray and vote your heart, your choice ...
I want to take you back a few months, when hundreds of thousands of people stood in line for hours and hours to buy a "chicken sandwich" from the chicken place where the owner spoke out for God, and that marriage should remain between one man and one woman. He was put down by the gay community, and people came out in his support.
It is time that Christians stood up and stood together and voted, and again, please pray and vote your heart. And yes, I prayed before I wrote this email and I have been praying while typing it.
Let's now pray together about this election. It will be a short prayer.
Dear Father in Heaven, please speak to our hearts as we go to vote, and Lord, please may Thy Will be Done. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now please go forth and share your blessings, and please get out and vote, regardless of who you are voting for. Again, as for me and my house, we are voting for life. And remember this, please, regardless who wins, we need to pull together as Americans, Christian Americans, and support those elected. I love you. Pastor Dan.
P.S. Tomorrow, the election will be history, and the calls and ads will be over. Thank God for that, and I will be back to writing as before ...

Thur 11/1/12 Storms 3
Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for another day and thank You for all that got done yesterday as we move forward for You. Lord, thanks for protecting Your people during the storms and for the blessings that have come forth out of the storms. I pray today that people will humble themselves and come nearer and nearer to You and through this storm You are glorified. We pray, watch as things happen in Your glory, we see pictures of a baby being born, and Lord, speaking of babies, please bless Linda Miller's tiny grandchild, and bless Beth and the baby who is in the womb. Please keep Your hand upon the upcoming election, and Lord, bless all those who are running for office, and may Your will be done in the election and in all things. Lord, touch Barbara's leg. Please, Lord, bless our ministry team as we go forth in this final day of getting ready to honor You with the building and property that You have entrusted to us to use for You. Lord, may we do it correctly. Lord, I pray this day for those on this line and Lord, thanks for protecting them. Lord, be with those responding to the cleanups following the big storm, and be with our military wherever they are. Please bring peace upon this earth. I love You, Jesus, and I pray in Your name. Amen.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Today is our final day before our dedication of Santa's House and Food Pantry. Yes, it is tomorrow, Friday, November 2nd at 6:00 PM. You are welcome to come and join us and enjoy a little peace after the storms of this area. Please keep this event in your prayers and please pray for the upcoming elections and listen for God to tell you how to vote ...
We have many people on our prayer lists, here are but a few. Pray for teenager Abigail Bendzin, Linda's grandchild, for Craig and Beth and the baby in her womb. For Paula, Burt, Patsy, the Saylor family, and all who were affected by the storm. Keep praying for all those working at cleaning up the mess and please pray for our leaders. And please by all means pray for our country. Pray for peace and for the return of Jesus. Thanks to all who are sending in telling me "they are okay." I love all of you, some being on this line with me for about 15 years. God is good, please keep Him on the top shelf of your life. Now for the message.
Psalm 107:25 - For He spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves. 26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths, in their peril their courage melted away. 27 They reeled and staggered like drunken men, they were at their wits' end. 28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and He brought them out of their distress. 29 He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. 30 They were glad when it grew calm, and He guided them to their desired heaven. 31 Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men. (NIV)
Good Morning brothers and sisters. I want to take another look at the scripture I used yesterday and a few other scriptures. Let me go to this.
Psalm 107:28 - Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and He brought them out of their distress. 29 He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. (NIV)
Let's look at not just the storm called "Sandy" who some are calling the "Perfect Storm" but some of the other storms that we have been through. But before that, it is really neat that some are calling this the "Perfect Storm" because right away I think only God can make something perfect. A "Perfect Storm" now people just need to know that God did bring on the storm, not global warming like Al Gore is pushing, but Al surely knows it takes that global warming added that 3 feet of snow in West Virginia as the storm passed through. God makes things perfect, my brothers and sisters, after all He did make you and me. He gave us free will, but He controlled the storm from beginning until it ends.
"Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble!" I can relate to calling out to the Lord in times of trouble and I am sure you can also. I came fully to the Lord years ago in one of my troubled times and I am sure if you admit it, some of you more than likely did the same. Maybe a sick child or a broken marriage or losing a car as you had no money to pay for it ... Storms of life are different for many people and I just know a lot of people will come to Jesus through this storm. And just why do you think He caused the storms? Well, I am not God and I do not know His will, but when I read the scriptures it tells me that the storms are caused so that His children come back to Him. After all, we are all children of God. The scriptures tell us "Then they cried out to the Lord in their troubles."
Then the scripture tells us, "He brought them out of their distress." Our Lord God has done this before, and He will do it again ... Did you notice that when it is not cut out how people who had a fireman carry them out of the flood, said, THANK YOU, JESUS, and then thank that fireman also? Even one reporter thanked God on the air for the area He was sent to did not get hit hard, while right across this body of water the town was wiped out. As He started to thank God He was cut from the report and they went to someone who was distressed. We need to thank God for all things. ALL THINGS!
Now the last part of the scripture. "He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed." As we see the storm ending, we know we who love God know that He did this. While a lot of people will give God glory for ending the storm, how many will thank Him for causing it? Brothers and sisters, while we do not like to give God glory for a storm, we should, because it is those storms of life that help cause this ...
Romans 14:11 - It is written: "As surely as I live," says the Lord, "Every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God." (NIV)
That puts it together, folks ... Now it is confession time.
Dear Father in Heaven, I confess that I am a sinner saved by only Your grace. Forgive me, Lord, and come into my life. I pray today, Lord, that many, many people will come to You through this storm called the "Perfect Storm", or Sandy. Thanks, Jesus, for saving all of us, and saving my sins. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share Your blessings and serve the Lord. I love ya. Pastor Dan.

I love ya. Pastor Dan.
