Tuesday: Holy Week 1

"Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' DO NOT follow them. When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things MUST HAPPEN first, but the end will not come right away."

Praise God, praise God, praise God ... I want to thank all of you for your prayers and concern about my health. I do feel better today, but I am still working on passing those kidney stones. Although I was under the weather yesterday, the reason for no message was my old computer was sicker then me.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is good to be back. I don't want to labor on this, but about six weeks ago I went with the Comcast Triple after being with Verizon all my life (former Bell Telephone). Comcast lied about what they would do and on Sunday my heart sank when I opened my computer to find out that all my email records were gone, or at least not where I could put them into service. I called Comcast and they said they do not do what they promised they would do, and that is work through MSN for my email. MSN is where my email records are held. So I called Verizon, talked to some very understanding people, who are going to put me back into their company and in the meantime have put me on a bridge to MSN. So, I am very happy to be back in service. This, Carry The Light Ministries email prayer and message line, is one of the backbones of the ministry, and I think God wants me to keep it going. With all that has been going on the past month or two, I am thinking that Satan wants to shut us down, and let me tell you, with the help of our good Lord Jesus and all of you praying this is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Holy Week (1): Again this week I want to go with Jesus as He works His way to the cross and beyond. Please tomorrow bring some juice and bread to the computer with you as we are going to be doing the last supper with Jesus and His disciples. On Thursday we are going to be going to Gethsemane to pray with Jesus. Friday morning we will be walking the hill to see Jesus take away the sins of ours and the sins of the world. And there will be a special Easter Sunday Morning Sunrise edition on the line and with the blog.

Luke 21: 8 - He (Jesus) replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' DO NOT follow them. 9 When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things MUST HAPPEN first, but the end will not come right away." 10 Then He said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from Heaven. 12 But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you." (NIV)

As I read and typed the scriptures written above, my mind went to what is going on around the world today. Some people will get mad at me for the next few statements, but I must put down what I am thinking. Have you noticed the President of the United States this past couple of weeks? Is he not trying to be "God"-like as he makes all these speeches on this overseas trip he and his wife are on?

He puts down the United States of America for the world to hear. Then we look at the North Korea Missile thing ... is that not another rumor of a coming war? Maybe even more than a rumor. There was another major earthquake, this one central Italy. Look around us folks, but as the scriptures tell us, DO NOT BE FRIGHTENED, for these things must happen first. Brothers and sisters, what have you noticed of late? I am sure you have seen the ads on TV of people seeking help to feed those starving in other lands, you see the little ones that are like little sticks ... starving to death. Here in America we see people breaking into stores to steal food. Yes, things are lining up, but I am going to relay this message that Jesus left us. Do not be frightened, do not be afraid. Trust in God ... for our Lord God Almighty will never leave us. A couple of weeks ago I wrote a series on our Nation going Bankrupt. Our morals keep going down and down.

Let me leave you this advice today, and this is a good week do to this ... do not be frightened, do not be afraid, BUT DO COME TO JESUS TO BE CLEANED. As we look back on the life of Jesus and we tomorrow have the last supper (communion) with Him, then we are going to pray with Jesus as He talks to His (and our) Father in Heaven. Then as Jesus goes to the cross, I again say do not be frightened, but DO SEND with Jesus to the cross all of our sins..... Brothers and Sisters, this is what it is all about, it is about Salvation, freedom from our sins, and then getting the word out to others.

My brothers and sisters, we are in a way of our own as Christians, for Satan is going to try and block anything we try and do for Jesus ... be ready for it ... and as the scriptures tell us, "Watch out that we are not deceived." Folks remember this ... when Jesus comes back he is coming like a thief in the night. He will be riding in a cloud of light. He is not going to be running for President, or any kind of office. He will be coming back for all who are born again, all who are saved by His blood that is flowing from the cross. Brothers and Sisters, please do this for me ... tomorrow for communion, don't just take it alone. Bring your friends at your office to the computer with you. Have a little "desk-side supper" with the king, King Jesus. Yes, let's see if we can share this online communion with others. Will you pledge to have communion with at least one other tomorrow?

Dear Father in Heaven, please clean us up this day, forgive us of our sins, and get us ready to work for You. Help us this day to invite others to Your table tomorrow around this thing we call a computer. We want to be desk-side with Jesus. You can help us Lord, for you are the one and only reason we are doing this. We want to go back in time to look at it, and then sit with You and be reminded how You did all of this for us. Lord, help us ... Help us, Lord. And Lord, thanks for taking care of this old man and His old computer. In the name of Jesus, I pray and give honor and thanks ... Amen.
