Dear Father in Heaven: I love You! Thanks for covering my sins with the Blood of Your Son and my Savior Jesus Christ. Thanks, Jesus, for dying on the cross for everyone. I pray today that more and more of those who are lost will seek You out, and I pray that You will use me and all who read this line to reach out to others and spread that Word of Salvation through Jesus. I pray today for safety of all those traveling by motorcycle to bike week in Ocean City, MD. I pray also that Christian bikers are working the streets to find the lost for You, Jesus. Please, Lord, help me now with the daily message and to get it dispatched on this our Salvation Wednesday on this line. In Jesus' Name, I give praise and offer up my prayers. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters. Today as Dolores and I were praying and I was seeking out a message from God, He reminded me of how on many, many days I would go to the computer keyboard and sit for hours waiting for Him to give me a message. So today I came to the keyboard and waited. Here are some results of the wait!
Salvation Wednesday: September 14, 2016: Sit and Wait
Psalm 40:1 - I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. (NIV)
Today I want to roll you way back in my life, before I met Dolores. Yes, most of you know that both Dolores and I have been married before. In fact this is the third for each of us, and we have been married for 34 years, so I am going way back. I am going back to when I was married to a lady named Pat and together we lived on a small farm in Cly, PA, which is near York Haven, PA, and on this farm we had a lot of animals. One of those animals was a dog named Queenie who son Keith trained. Keith was from my first marriage, trying not to confuse anyone, just keeping it straight. Anyway, Keith trained this dog well and when he would tell his dog to sit, it sat. Keith was the dog's master and the dog would listen well. One day we were out and he put the dog food down for Queenie and told her to sit and she would do that and she would sit until he would tell her it was okay to eat the food. Well, we got called that it was time for us to eat and we went in and had lunch. After lunch we came out and Queenie was still sitting there next to her food and she was drooling but she had not taken one bite of food. You see, Queenie was waiting upon her master Keith to say it was okay to eat.
If we people would learn to Sit and Wait upon our Master, our Lord Jesus Christ, how much better off we would be! The scripture today tells us how David waited patiently for the Lord. How much patience do we have these days? We pray for something and think the prayer should be answered before we are done praying. Come on, if we all admit it we have all done that. Why should we wait? When we want something, we want it NOW! If we have patience things will be answered, and we need to remember that God hears our prayers, if we dispatch them to God the Father through His Son Jesus. I will come back to that in a minute. Let's go back to Psalm 40.
Psalm 40:2 - He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a Rock and gave me a firm place to stand. (NIV)
You can see here how David by waiting was lifted out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire. In other words David was standing deep in sin and waited upon the Lord to lift him out, and when out, he was placed on a rock, and we know that Jesus is that Rock. And we just do not have patience to wait sometimes for a few minutes.
Now let me go back to offering up those prayers and let me go to the book of John.
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)
You need Jesus to get you into Heaven, and you also need to dispatch your prayers to our Heavenly Father through Jesus if you want them heard. Just this past week Pastor Charles Stanley talked about that also. Again our prayers are heard as we pray them and answered when God is ready to answer them. Sometimes we just do not "sit and wait" upon the Lord long enough to hear Him. Maybe we need to take a lesson from a dog and figure out how to wait upon our Master. Also we need to remember that while we need to be patiently waiting upon our Master, He is also waiting upon us to listen to Him. If you have never taken the time to give yourself to Jesus or today you want to refresh, will you pray this with me?
Dear Father in Heaven: I confess I am a sinner and today I come to You and invite Jesus into my heart. I believe that Jesus died on the Cross to save me from my own sins, and I believe He was risen from the dead by You, Father. Please wash me, cleanse me and save me, and please write my name down in the Lamb's Book of Life. I thank You, Father, for sending Your Son Jesus to do this for me. In the Name of Jesus, I ask this. Amen.
If you came to the Lord for the first time, expect your life to change. If you renewed like I just did, keep working to get nearer and nearer to Jesus. Remember once you are saved, your sins, past, present and future are covered by the Blood of Jesus, but we still need to be asking forgiveness when we mess up.
Now go forth and share your love of Jesus with others on this our Salvation Wednesday. Love ya.

Sunday 9/11/16 Looking Back
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Lord, thanks for this great country You gave us. Please protect it from things like what happened 15 years ago and help us to remember that date but even more, help us to remember what happened to Your Son and my Savior years ago. Please help me dispatch the message You gave me this day. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: 15 years ago this Sunday our nation took a big hit by terrorists. Right after that happened our churches became full. People were turning to Jesus and more and more people were flying our nation's flag. Fire companies were flying the flags off the back of their trucks and some still do today. We came together as a nation, in fact we came together as ONE NATION UNDER GOD!!! This morning I heard someone on television trying once again to blame this on former President George W. Bush. But let me get past that for just a minute and get into the meat of the message.
Sunday: September 11, 2016: Looking Back
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (NIV)
When it comes to America, there are a lot of very important dates to remember. One would be December 7, 1941, and if you ask most people what happened that day, most could not tell you. I have witnessed over the years our nation's flag carried into battle by men who never came home, while those they protected would stay home and burn those flags. Now we see men making over 17 million dollars a year playing football not respecting that flag and that is their right because that is what America is all about, freedom. Seems to me if those same players would start respecting others like our Military and yes, our Police, instead of wearing socks with pigs on them in police uniforms, those ball players might get respect.
No, I never was in the military, but I have great friends who were. Some went to war, others did things at home. I want to state this today, the colors on our flag will not run and neither will those taking it to battle. Our police and firefighters will run, yes, they will run into burning buildings as others run out. Time to give them the respect they deserve. To the million dollar ball player who runs onto the field a few times a year, you don't have enough GUTS to run into just one burning building like those men and women did on 9/11/2001. But hey, you have your rights, you really do.
One other man who got little respect did not run away, in fact He went to the cross and He did that for all of us, ALL OF US. And regardless of what you think of Him, you can just come to Him and say, please forgive me, Jesus, I love You, and He will do it. However, with Jesus, if you don't come to Him before it is too late, you will be running into a fire that burns forever. So as I look back and remember, most of all, ABOVE ALL ELSE, I will remember what Jesus did for you and me on the cross where He poured out ALL OF HIS BLOOD TO SAVE US. Amen.
So for all of you men and women of our many fire departments and police departments and also all of those in our military, thanks for risking your lives for us. It is Jesus first for us, and then all of you are next. You are indeed loved by this family.
Now go forth and serve Jesus and give Him thanks for our American heroes, but always remember to keep Him above all others. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 9/7/16 Fear Not
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for another day here on this earth that You made so wonderful. Please forgive me of any sins I made, thank You for that. Please, Lord, help me with this message and help me please to get it dispatched. Please, Lord, help us work each day for You and to bring in the lost, not just on one day we call Salvation Wednesday. Please heal Bob of cancer, and Lord, thanks for healing me of cancer. Father, please protect the United States as we come to another 9/11 as it will be 15 years since the attack and some folks are forgetting. In Jesus' Name, I give praise and pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, September, among other things, is Prostate Awareness Month. So today, ladies, my message might be slanted somewhat toward men. However, ladies, if you have a man or men in your life, tell them to fear not. Yes, ladies might have more than one man in their life. Examples, husband, father, sons, nephews. Please keep praying for our nation as we approach 9/11/2016, the 15th anniversary since the bombings using our airplanes.
Salvation Wednesday: September 7, 2016: Fear Not
Hebrews 13:5 - Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
Hebrews 13:6 - So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" (NIV)
Just a reminder to those who think the scripture is only for the past. Well, think again and remember this please.
Hebrews 13:8 - "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (NIV)
Men!!! Ladies need to go through so much in life and even those who have not had children still have those internal tests called pap smears. And those who have had children, well, may I say this, men, if we had to have the children, the population would have ended long ago. So men, fear not, just go and get the tests done to be sure you do not have prostate problems. Get your exams and be sure the doctor takes blood and checks those PSA levels. That needle put in your arm to pull out blood is just a little stick, so FEAR NOT of that small pinch. Also men, FEAR NOT of that other test when the doctor tells you to "bend over the table," just hold on and breathe deeply. I asked my doctor one time, "did he enjoy doing that part of an exam." His answer was "only when he checks his brother."
One thing you can do is pray, pray for the test to go well and pray you do not have any signs of cancer. Please, men, get this done, and if you are indeed a black man or have black men in your life, please note your chances of getting prostate cancer are 61% higher than we who are white. Also, family history of prostate cancer could mean more risk, so I will be sure our sons get this message.
I pray that all of you, men and women, still believe God heals. Why some get healed and others don't, I don't know, but I do know this, Prayer Helps, and God hears our prayers. I want to tell all of you this. Years ago when my family doctor told me that my PSA level was up in a danger zone and I could have cancer, he referred me to a urologist and I picked a doctor named Emmerson Knight, now retired. I did not mess around and made the appointment right away, but that took time. Of course it took time to get the next appointment where they make that big test to check that prostate. Men, this one hurts, so breathe deeply. Anyway, cancer was confirmed, but before it was confirmed, we already started storming heaven with prayers, and God was hearing the prayers. I talked to my doctor and told him I think God is already working on healing me, please do another PSA. He did and my PSA number was already down to 3.9, and it was something over 7 when I was told I had cancer. Still after talking it over with Dolores, we felt it wold be best to get some radiation treatments. This all happened years ago when we were still doing Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Allenberry Playhouse. I remember how the place giving the treatments opened early so I could get in and out and still go to Allenberry. Yes, Santa took those treatments, 40 of them if I recall in a Santa suit. All glory and honor to God for this date my PSA numbers have been like .003. I had no side effects on the radiation treatments and never missed a call at Allenberry. Again, all glory to God.
So men, PLEASE FEAR NOT!!! Please look at the part of the scripture where it tells us, "The Lord is my helper; I will NOT BE AFRAID." And for my dear friend Robert Coburn, I ask all of you to flood heaven with his name to be healed. Put it on any prayer list that you know of, let God hear from all of us. And while you are at it, please pray for a cure for all cancer.
So men, when you hear your doctor say "bend over," remember these words, "FEAR NOT," for our Lord God is with you and through the power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit you can be healed.
Now go to your Bibles and read James 5:13/16. It is the prayer of faith.
Now go forth and serve Jesus. Love ya.
