Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for all You do for all of us. Please forgive me when I sin and mess up. Please help me repent and work even harder to lead the unsaved to You. Lord, please take care of that baby in the womb, as You knew that baby even before it was placed in the womb. Lord, please help me with my memory and to get better organized. Lord, be with Your people from our homeland, Lord, and watch over them. Be with them while they are here in America. Lord, please help me now with the message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, we need to cover Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with prayer and we need to pray for all citizens of Israel. Christians, this is indeed our homeland. This was the home ground of our Lord Jesus when He walked the earth. I want to get on to the message. I had asked this question, where is the best place to pray?
Monday: March 3, 2015: Talking to God (Day Six)
Matthew 6:5 - "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray; go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, when we read the scriptures we can see that the very best place to pray is in a place where you can be alone. The King James Bible uses the word closet, and the Greek word for room in the Bible means storeroom. It means we need to go to a place where we can close the door to pray. Does this mean that we should not pray other than in your room or closet or a storeroom? No. This is Jesus telling all of us that we should not be running at the mouth when we pray. If we really want to have a good heart-to-heart with our Father in Heaven, we should pick a nice quiet place and pray. Jesus is pointing out here how some people just stand and pray and go over and over the same thing. "Babbling" is the term used by Jesus. I was told early on after I started preaching, "Do not pray a sermon." Is it okay to pray other than in private? Sure. Jesus set examples of that. He prayed for people and touched them and healed them. Myself, I have prayed for people right in the food store, in doctors offices, and other places. However, I was praying out loud, but quietly with people. I will be talking more about this tomorrow along with posting other scriptures covering the subject of praying. Speaking of praying, time for the sinners' prayer.
Is this your day to come to Jesus? I can't save you, but I sure can pray and lead you to Jesus. This is an "I" prayer, and again, I can only lead you.
Dear Father in Heaven, I love You and I ask You to forgive me of my sins. I confess with my mouth and I believe in my heart that Jesus died on the cross, was risen from the dead, and that Jesus is indeed the only way to heaven. Please place my name in the Book of Life today. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Sunday 3/1/15 Talking to God (5)
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for another beautiful day, and thanks for taking my sins to the cross. I love You and I confess that I am a sinner and in need of a good scrubbing. Dear Father, thanks for watching over me as I was out plowing again. Thanks for all You do for all of us. As we start a new month, dear Lord, may we work hard to get others to start it off with You. Lord, be with our President and other leaders. Be with our veterans and our military and keep them safe and please, Lord, bring them back home soon. Lord, watch over this line and all who use it. Protect it, please, from being hacked. Lord, open doors for those looking for work and watch over people on the highways. Please now bless me with the message and help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, we had another little snow storm here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. God is good. I went out plowing and God protected me. It will be slick in the morning. Watch out for BLACK ICE. Speaking of safety, I have received another writing from God's Co-Pilot, Charles Wotring, and I hope to have it to you Monday or Tuesday. It will come out separately. Thanks to all of you who responded telling me how you enjoyed his talking about safety when it comes to flying.
As you know, we have been talking to God and I started with the Lord's Prayer. I wrapped that up except for one thing. So let me get right to it now.
Sunday: March 1, 2015: Talking to God (Day Five)
Matthew 6:9b - "Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." (KJV)
As you recall, I went through this prayer, this wonderful prayer that Jesus taught us to pray. There is one thing I think needs added when we pray the prayer. I think that after we pray the Lord's Prayer and end it with "Amen. Then we need to pray this. "In Jesus' Name I pray." And here is my scripture that supports me on this.
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)
Here is the same scripture in the King James Version.
John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth,and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (KJV)
There are many folks that believe that this scripture is just for when we go to heaven. Yes, we who are indeed "Born Again" know that Jesus is the way to heaven, as we must surely confess ourselves over to Him. I am talking to God about going over those details again in the future. Anyway, the way I read the scripture is we must send our prayers through Jesus to the Father, our Heavenly Father, if indeed we want them to be considered by God The Father. When I watch a NASCAR race and they start each race with prayer, some of the pastors will just say Amen, while others will say "in His name I pray" and I am yelling at my TV saying, who is He? Name Him, pastors, yes, we Christians know who He is, we know what you are saying, but I say call Him by His name. It is JESUS, brothers and sisters, please do not be afraid to say that name, please send your prayers to the Father through Jesus. As I have told you before, I believe everything in the Bible, all as truth. Tomorrow, God willing, we will talk more about talking to God and try and answer this question, just where is the best place to pray? Now we will close again with the Lord's Prayer and a call for Salvation.

Please save me and place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I ask this in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Saturday 2/28/15 Talking to God (4)
Good Afternoon, Father in Heaven: Thanks for letting me talk with You today, and thank You for listening. Yes, Lord, sometimes we talk to people who don't take time to listen to us. Oh, and Lord, please help me listen when You talk to me. Thanks for the sunshine today and thanks for Your Son today and everyday. Lord, please, if I have sinned, forgive me, and help me repent. Please keep watch over this line and all who use it in any way. Protect families and friends, Lord, and be with Your people. Please, Lord, intervene on a membership, Lord, You know what I am talking about. Lord, watch over those who must go out in the weather that is coming in. Lord, please may it blow out to sea, but Your will be done, Lord. Please help me today to get the message together and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: I pray you are really looking into the Lord's Prayer. I hope to wrap that up today and keep going on talking to God, for there are so many other ways to do that. It is a really beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Looks like we are going to get a tad more snow tomorrow. I just pitched an onion out into the yard, yes, on top of the snow. I want the snow tomorrow to cover my onion so I can call it, are you ready for this? The Onion Snow!! Anyway, if you are in bad weather, please remember that first inch of snow is the slippery inch. Now let me get to the message on Talking to God.
Saturday: February 28, 2015: Talking to God! (Day Four)
Matthew 6:9b - "Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Today, brothers and sisters, we are going to be looking at and talking about verse thirteen. Let's break it into two parts.
Matthew 13a - "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." We are praying and asking our Father in Heaven to NOT lead us into places or things of temptation. Surely I could find enough of those places of temptation on my own, why would I ever think God might lead me there? For that I want to go to James.
James 1:2 - Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV)
My answer would be, yes, I think there are times that God will lead us into temptation, otherwise, why would we be told to pray asking God not to lead us there? And with my answer from James, we are to consider it PURE JOY when it happens. Then that line goes on to say "but deliver us from evil." We again are praying and asking to be delivered from those places or things of evil. So when we put it together, what might we be really thinking? I am thinking like this, if I am into a place of temptation, be God lead me there or just left me go, I am then asking, Lord, get me out of here,I can't handle it. I know of a man, now home with the Lord, that at one time was hard, not saved, and used some really hard words. This man went to the same restaurant everyday at the same time for breakfast and coffee. He told those jokes, and things that were bad. Then it happened, he fell in love with Jesus, he found Jesus, who was not lost, but this man found Him. He went right back to that same restaurant and sat on that same stool at the counter, told everyone he found the Lord and he did not want to hear all those bad things anymore. From there, he went on to lead others to the Lord. His faith was tested over and over again as he worked with the Lord.
There are many people who could testify that they went back to those places of temptation and worked to get others out. If that has happened to you, please tell me about it and if I can share it with others. God will carry us through, He really will. Now let me finish up with the last part of verse thirteen.
Matthew 6:13b - "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
Here we are just telling our Father in Heaven that we know it is all His. For Yours is the Kingdom, You are the all powerful One. And we want You to have ALL THE GLORY. And how long will The Kingdom be His? And how long will He have all the power? And how long should He receive the glory? FOREVER! And that I guess is why some people will be praying forever and ever and ever. One way or the other, it goes on FOREVER. And to quote a song, and that's a long, long time.
One word left. It is the word "AMEN." This word is used at the end of a prayer or a statement to express approval. It is a closing and when you add it to anything you are expressing your approval. I have heard people talking about different things when someone else will say "Amen, brother" or something like that. When a pastor is praying in church and you add an "Amen" you are approving of what that pastor just said in his prayer. Sometimes a person leading a prayer will say something like "and all God's people said: Amen."
Now I said that there is something else we need to add to our prayers. Do you know what that might be? No, I am not telling you this now, I want you to think about it and let me know what you think and why. Okay, as we have done all week as we learned this prayer, let's pray it together.
