Thursday 9/5/13 Moral Authority 2

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for a great busy day and thanks for taking care of those on this line.  Thanks for Your help last evening and all You do for us all the time.  Please forgive me of my sins.  Be with those we have been praying for.  Lord, be with our President and bless him and may he come to You in all he does.  Now, Lord, please help me with the words of the message and all that goes into it and then please dispatch it for me.  All You do for me is appreciated.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

My dear brothers and sisters, God is so good, and while my computers were down, and by the way, I was up all last night working on them with a computer person online.  While I was away, God did help me, and again, thanks to Charles and Janet Wotring for their help, God helped me to get this dear, dear puppy.  He is a Yorkshire Picki, and now I would like to show you Martin Martin Lehman, Jr.  Now, ladies, I know you are thinking he is too pretty to be a boy.  I agree with that, but he is our new baby.

Now, brothers and sisters, let me get on with the message.

Thursday, September 5, 2013, Moral Authority.

Ephesians 4:20 - You, however, did not come to know Christ that way.  21 Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.  22 You were taught with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.  (NIV)

Yesterday I talked about our President and Congress, and the United States of America acting as a Moral Authority over Syria.  Also, please remember I said I will support our troops, all of them, however, I cannot support a war effort against others for things that are not moral until we clean up our own act.

Now to get started in cleaning up our own country, we must all start at the same place.  All start at the same place, you say?  Yes, that is what I said, we must all start at the same place when leaning up our country.  All of you who are thinking Washington, DC, please tell me, and be honest, please!  All of us need to start at the same place, we must all start with our own self!  While we are not judging people to get into heaven, other people we surely can judge ourselves.  Remember things that we have given to God, those are forgiven, and we move on from there.

If we look at the scripture in Ephesians 4:20 - "You, however, did not come to know Christ that way."  Meaning tome, we did not come to Christ living a life of sin, a life of impurity, a life with no moral values at all.  We came to Christ when we decided to follow Him, when we decided to love Him and walk in His light and invite Him into our hearts and our lives.  Let's now look at a few more verses from above.

So The Word is telling us that we have heard of Jesus and were taught to walk with Him and live Your life to please Him.  So lets work on our own selves tonight and come back tomorrow when I will do my best to finish this lesson.  Just so you know that just yesterday, four stabbed, one died in a school in Texas.  A fight between Spanish and black school kids at Harrisburg High School in Pennsylvania.  Cars were damaged by kids standing on them to watch the fight.  Yes, it was said to be about race.  East of Harrisburg, on Route 81, a big rig driver ran over a motorcycle rider, stopped, looked and got in the truck and drove away.  The rider is dead!  Do you see what I am saying, to clean up the world, we must start at home.

Pray with me, please.  Dear Father in Heaven, please help us, clean us of of our sins, clean me of my sins and help me to walk in Your Light, and then help us work to clean up our area, before we try to be the Moral Authority over others.  After cleaning up ourselves, Lord, then help us to clean up others by bringing them to You for the cleaning.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Wed 9/4/13 Moral Authority

Dear Father in Heaven:  Thank You for finding my name lists for me, and thanks for all You do for us.  Please forgive us of our sins.  Please forgive me of my sins.  Lord, please watch over those we have been praying for here at home, and Lord, please help me with my message and then dispatch it for me.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, it has been a long, long time since I got to sit down and type out a message.  What a day to start back, SALVATION WEDNESDAY.  Yes, the day we pray for the lost and pray for God to help us to bring them in.  I do have a lot to bring you up-to-date on,  however, I will do it just a little at a time so as to get messages out.

First, my computer that I write on had a major crash and nothing has been able to be drawn out of it, at least by the Geek Squad.  I purchased a new computer and fetched it home and it did not work, so I took it back and ordered one to be sent in from Dell.  The other evening I just put it online and we had a bad storm and a lightning strike knocked both computers down.  We did have two computers and I am working now on the one we used for personal records.  I have a cord to transfer things to the newest one, but dummy (that's me) lost the disc since I used it last.  Anyway, so much for computers, and forgive my spelling, I have not located spell check on this one yet.

Next, since I talked to you last we have had an addition to our family.  As you know, my dear K9, Martin Martin Lehman, passed away.  I had him from 5 weeks old to when he died at 15 years of age.  While we have had and still have many senior dogs living with us, my heart was broken over Martin.  Two weeks ago, just when my computer crashed, I was tracking down a puppy, yes, a puppy, to bring comfort to me.  We looked at a local breeder and could not find one, even ran into a puppy mill, what a mess.  Long story short, we found one online, and he was in Oklahoma.  We made the deal on this beautiful Yorkshire Picki, who was driven to Ft. Worth, Texas, and flew out of there to O'Hare in Chicago where his flight was cancelled, and his next flight delayed.  With the help of very dear friends Charles and Janet Wotring, who did our computer work, faxes, etc., then gave of their time to take Dolores and me to the airport, our puppy flew in.  He was tired!  Jet lag, I guess, but he was spotless, thanks to American Airlines. Yes, we now have a puppy, all but six months old and just 3.5 pounds.  His name, "Martin Martin Lehman, Jr."  Praise God for working out all the details. Amen.  Now to the message.

Moral Authority:

James 1:21 - Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.  (NIV)

Today it is looking like we will be launching  missiles into Syria to punish those who were behind attacking people with weapons of mass destruction.  Over and over on the news we have seen bodies of those killed by this gas, or whatever it was that was fired on the dear people of Syria.  So Our president steps up and tells all we must do something about this.  So my question today is "who made our president the MORAL AUTHORITY, and more so, even our nation, as a MORAL AUTHORITY?  While I have and always will support our country and our military, our fine men and women of our military services, my mind gets to thinking in these terms.

Exodus 20:13 - You shall not murder.  (NIV)

While our Lord tells us there will be wars and rumors of wars and we are not to be alarmed, He never once said it was okay to murder.  Today, today I tell you there will be more children murdered in the United States than those four hundred children murdered in Syria.  I am talking about children being shot in our inner cities and by crimes, mostly black on black killings or gang killings.  Now  let me talk about car crashes caused by drunk drivers and children killed in those across the United States.  And yes, I am going to go there, yes I am.  Who made us the MORAL AUTHORITY when we are a nation that KILLS, MURDERS THE UNBORN CHILDREN?  And don't you tell me they are not children, for I am reminded that God knew all of us BEFORE WE WERE IN THE WOMB.

There is only one real MORAL AUTHORITY, and that is our LORD JESUS.  He is the one and only MORAL AUTHORITY and while we have many, many moral people living today, most all of us have stuff in our closet that we would not like shared.  Of course we are sinners saved only by the grace of God.  So, brothers and sisters, while I will always support our troops, I say today, when we can clean up our own country, when we can clean up our own states, when we can clean up our own cities, yes, when we can clean up our own selves, when we can get rid of "all moral filth and humbly accept the word planted in us" by God, then and only then, in my opinion, can we become a nation with MORAL AUTHORITY.  And when our President Barack Obama becomes a pro-life president, maybe that would be a good start.

In the past I wrote to President Obama and after telling him we pray for him, I asked him to sign an order to stop abortion.  And I will write him again reminding him of this ...

Brothers and sisters, I ask you to pray for our President and his family, for our nation and for our troops.  And pray for our president's soul also.  I am going to send him a copy of this email.

Wednesday 8/14/13 In The Beginning. God! 2

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks  for another day, and thanks for the rain and the sunshine that You sent our way.  Lord, please keep Your healing hand upon families and please be with our president and his family as they vacation.  Lord, please have Your hand upon Patsy, Dolores, Burt, Grant, Curtis, Keith, Bob, and Eleanor and heal them according to Your will for them.  Please also be with the staff at The Bridges as they help all those who reside there.  Lord, thanks for taking us there on Tuesday.  And Lord, it is Salvation Wednesday on Your line that You let us use.  Please open the door for all of us who are saved to go into Your fields of Harvest to bring in the lost.  Help us with it by starting us out clean, forgive me please of my sins.  Now, Lord, please help me with the message and then, Lord, dispatch it for me, please.  In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Hi, brothers and sisters.  Today is Wednesday, which means it is SALVATION Wednesday on this line.  Salvation Wednesday.  First, folks, I pray all of you are saved and then yo will join me in praying this prayer to clean us up, and then pray that God will use us this day to help bring in the lost.  I am sure all of us know someone who is lost.  Let's obey the command of going and telling the good news.  Let's get washed up now.

Dear Father in Heaven, please clean me of my sins and wash me white so I am pleasing to You and also to all those who I get to talk to You about Salvation.  Help me deliver the good news to all I see this day.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

We need some really deep prayers for Eleanor and for Patsy.  Patsy has been moved to a rehab hospital and as soon as I get the address I would love to have a card shower for this dear lady.

Please also pray for Barbara from Florida as I have not heard from her for awhile, and also for Vicki who lives someplace in Ohio.  I have not heard fro\m her either.  If you know them, maybe you could have them get in touch.  Now let's get back to the beginning.  Maybe this is the real "back to the future."  For indeed when we go back to the Creation Story, we indeed need to look at it as our future also.

Salvation Wednesday, August 14, 2013, In The Beginning.  GOD!!  Day Two.

Genesis 1:9 - And God said:  "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear."  And it was so.  10 God called the dry ground "land" and the gathered waters He called "seas," And God saw that it was good.  11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation, seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds."  And it was so.  12 The land produced vegetation plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.  And God saw that it was good.  13 And there was evening, and there was morning --- the third day. (NIV)

Once again we see the power of God just in His mighty voice.  As once again we see that God speaks to these things and it happens.  Now listen tome here, folks.  If God can create this world and all that is in it and set it in the universe and make all things run and not hit each other and He did it all by talking, this should be a lesson to us about listening for Him to speak to us.

Okay, so we take a look at day three and see what was done.  We started out with water under us and sky above us.  Now this might have looked at this point like after the big flood.  You do remember how everything was covered with water.  Everything, and that is the way it was when God spoke out on day three.  Just think about it now.  Think about where you live and how it would have been all water until God sort of gathered the water around it.  Think about it, God would be talking to the water and having it gather in the valleys and make rivers run between the hills.  He made springs in the mountains so fresh water came up from the ground.  And He made dry land so people like you and me can have a car to go to work instead of a motorboat.  Now God speaks to us and sometimes He speaks to us through others.  I want you to think about this, my dear brothers and sisters.  Let's say on Sunday morning you go to church and you travel up to Glenvale Church of God and Pastor Larry Hale is preaching.  Now I know Pastor Larry would pray that God will use him to get the word out to others.  So God gives Pastor Larry The Word and Pastor passes it on to you.  This is just one of so many ways that God could be speaking to You.  God speaks to people and has for many years through the voices of my friends Tim, and also Dave, Duane and Neil.  Each day when we rise in our home we ask God to give us people to witness to, then also give us His Word to tell them.  Remember how God used His disciples and remember we are the disciples of today.

Brothers and sisters, there is nothing in the whole wide world that is more powerful than what comes out of one's mouth, and you can count on this, nothing, I say nothing is more powerful than what God speaks.  Please remember that God spoke to the land your home sits on, He spoke so that would become land.  So why not let God speak to you through others and of course also let Him speak to your heart?  How do you let this happen?  Well, you can start by going to a good church where God speaks through others, you could attend a good concert and hear God speaking to you in song, and you can pray and then listen for Him to speak to your heart.  Okay, enough for today.

Pastor Dan's Safety Tip:  School is opening across this great land.  Soon and very soon those big yellow buses will be on the road.  Watch for them, watch for when they stop.  When those lights come on, you must stop  Don't lose your driver's license by passing a stopped school bus, and more so if you do pas the bus you might hit one of God's children.  Watch out for "The Cheese."
